  2. Holy shite, Dochtery, Winderlinch, heppell,Laird and even Hutchins all out, man there are going to be some donuts this round…

    0

    0
  3. Goodes, Gibbs. Heppell, Pittard all out, will have 2 dougnuts in DEF.
My trades were Hoff – Stevie J, Blicavs – Gawn.

Now i’m thinkin I should trade Gibbs – Shaw/Duffield/Scotland and Blicavs – Gawn.
I do have the Cash to go Gibbs – Birchall, but I want to use that for the future. What do I do?!?! Please help..

  4. IF i was to trade Gibbs… Whose my best option? I already have Goddard, Birchall and Heppell! Anyone?? Hartlett maybe??

    0

    0
  5. Gibbs to Dixon or Hartlett? Dixon gives me cash in the bank, Hartlett leaves very little!

  6. Went:

    Pittard>Shaw
Danger>Hartlett and swapped him and Gibbs to save the donut

Only have 10K left, painful. Knowing how this week is going, I’ll get some subs on top of this.

  7. Brought Dwyer into the mids. Traded Dwyer for Hartlett and then swapped him with Heppell. Thats one sorted

Shaw in for Gibbs. Thats two sorted

    Another trade please..

  8. Ended up ok for me. Have gotten Stevie J in and have managed no donuts with kommer named. SO even if he gets the vest, will still got some points.

  9. Thank GOD I moved Goodes to the MID a few weeks ago … only 2 outs in the DEF (Gibbs & Pittard) … SAVED (well, so far).

  10. Heppell out hurts. Had a feeling atleast one of heppell goddard and watson might be rested. Was going to trade out dwyer for gawn. But i really have no choice, i probably have to drop goodes (along with walker) if i still want to upgrade to a top mid. Goodes has been really good, and still lots if room to grow, but two weeks out gives me a little more reason to cash him in.
Going to pick up vlastuin, along with either of these prem mids. Which should i get?

    T/u watson

    T/d cotchin

  11. All good for me. Got cover on my backline and can now upgrade to Stevie J and improve my forward line. Fingers crossed whoever I am playing this week has a donut or two! 😉

  12. Blicavs to Gawn
Wanted to do Dwyer to Stevie J

but ended up doing Goodes to Harlett – thought goodes still had a good 100K left in him.

    going to have one donut..

  13. I wonder if there is anyone with the following backline!?
Gibbs, Heppell, Watts, Goodes, Pittard, Hutchins, Docherty, Laird

  14. Survived this sort of.

Wanted to trade Cyril this week, but looks like I have to hold fire for another week and rely on Neade Score as replacement. So Stevie J for the good of my team you are next week.

    In Gawn out Bilcav
    In Heater Shaw out Pittard

Goodes Heppell occupy the pine, thank god I did not have Gibbs and went Hartlett instead.

  15. A lot of people at the start complained about 30 trades making the game too easy, and i agree in theory…but this is why they did it

  16. I have escaped the dreaded backline donuts by selling Blicavs, moving Goodes to the mids and buying Vlastuin for defence.

During the week I did a tentative trade selling Hawkins and buying Stevie J. Now that Hawkins has been named to play I’m not sure. I have been bleeding trades like a haemophiliac at a cut-throat shaving contest, but I think I will keep it.

T/u Stevie J will kill it in his 200th
    T/d keep your trades.

  17. I’m only 600 off the leader so want to make a move and not cop a donut like people above me on the ranks might get. So going:

    Blicavs -> Gawn
    Goodes -> Scotland

Scotland has dream run coming up, he is a POD and he has always been reliable in the past and will look to redeem himself after missing first few games. Age is a worry but no guts no glory and he was going to come in at sometime this year.

Thumbs up or down will help my choice. Thanks.

  18. Just avoided no doughnuts

    Went
    Gibbs -Dixon
    Pittard- Vlastuin

Hopefully vlast keeps his JS he ripped up nab

  19. Like most people my backlines in a bit of strife this week.

Don’t quite have enough cash to upgrade Pittard to a premium and am holding off trading Goodes yet.
And with Laird and Docherty not named my only two options are:

Pittard to Wright (St. K) who would be averaging 59 if it wasn’t for the week he was sub (T/U)
    OR
Keep Pittard and take a donut this week (T/D)

  20. I have a Dilemma; Your help will be much appreciated!

T/U: Cop 2 donuts and 1 possible vest, knowing I can still win as I’m playing a team that averages 1300 a week (how?!)

T/D: Make 2 trades, for the sake of the ranking and score

  21. These AFL coaches clearly have other people in their supercoach team than most of us.
Liking that Vlastuin is named as a follower and think hes a definite downgrade option this week.

  22. Keep changing my mind but here goes:
Viney out for B.Goodes switch to the mid bench. This way I keep him without potentially scoring a doughnut in the backline.
    Upgrade to Dixon in DEF.
    A.Goodes -> Kerridge.

A.Goodes not doing much more than 80pts per game and possibly past his prime now. Dixon has been a standout so far this year and will hopefully continue his good work for the Suns.

    Too many choices.

  23. is this nuts?
trade danger to vlaustin and pittard for shaw

covers 0’s and opens def mid change up also cash up to $246000 in bank

effectivly swapping danger to shaw and pittard to vlaustin…

    0

  24. Does anyone know much about Sierakowski? What’s his JS like, is the most likely vest candidate? I know it’s hard to tell for a guy who hasn’t played a game yet but I’m not sold on any of the downgrade options in defence this week. Don’t know if Valastuin is worth the extra 50k and if I go Pittard to Vlastuin I may not have the cash for the Gablett upgrade next week.

  25. done!!!

    Fyfe downgrade to Sounders

Goodes to mid, Sounders to def

    Pittard uprgrade to Shaw

conclusion : Fyfe & Pittard out, Gibbs & Heppel SAFE!

  26. Best backline premium right now?
I can afford anyone and already have Goddard and Hartlett

  27. Well what a crazy round!!

    Heppell out
    Gibbs out
    Goodes out
    Pittard out

I think Goodes, Heppell and Gibbs will be in the top 10 defenders so I’m going to keep them and take a 0.

Pittard is out for Ashley McGrath.

  28. i have the 4 usual outs listed above too. toying with the idea of trading danger for heath shaw by moving goodes to my midfield.

hate to trade a premium but this will save one donut, ill dump danger before losing more cash and get shaw as he bottoms out.

    thoughts??

  29. Gibbs – Birchall seem necessary?
Probly going to upgrade Pittard – Gibbs in a few rounds anway.
Gibbs has a BE of 130. Could drop to 460k odd.

  30. Taken from CFC Facebook post 2 hours ago

“Out at this stage is Bryce Gibbs, who suffered hamstring tightness in last Sunday’s match against Adelaide, with the 22 to be finalised tomorrow afternoon”

A late inclusion? Probably more wishful thinking than anything…

  31. Can’t decide between –
    Up: Dixon $477K, Av 115
    Down: Shaw: $484K, Av 90

Figures tell me Dixon, cheaper & better average, but Shaw a proven performer over the years whereas Dixon a relative newcomer to higher scores. Thoughts?

  32. Thoughts on Michael Hibberd?
Everyone appears to be getting H Shaw, but for 470K I think Hibberd is a bargain!
I can afford Birchall (just), but would like to save some money for Viney>Priddis next week. I guess he’ll just have to wait 🙂

  33. 1 definite zero for Boom Town this week, short term pain for long term gain!!!! Gonna go swan as VC. I recon he’s gonna go 150 plus and cover my dougnut! He’s a big game player!!

  34. 775,000 for 2 players one defender, one forward
was originally planning – H. Shaw & Winderlich but winderlich is out and ideas??

  36. No donuts this week so am thinking of:

    Blicavs => Gawn
    Dangerfield => Swan

    Will leave 21 trades left

    Thumbs Up: Do it
Thumbs Down: I’ve used too many trades

  37. so i had pittard gibbs hepps and goodes and fyfe missing in the mids as well as evans on extended bench……bugger…..
so i traded pittard for vlastuin
and dwyer for h shaw swapping goodes into the mids.
leaving me with only evans sub score if he plays….
    #cantwaitforthisweektobeover #round6byeround

if you have any better suggestions be my guest. im not really worried about winning/losing games. my team is 49th, rank is all im concerned about

  38. Survived most of the carnage thus far. Pittard >> Dixon to save a donut, and a luxury downgrade of Blitzer >> Gaaawwwnnn

  39. Thoughts running through my head tonight:

It’s looking at this stage like I’ll be trading Goodes and one of Pittard/Hutchins, sparing Gibbs.

    1. Goodes & Pittard > H.Shaw & Rookie other than Vlastuin
    2. Goodes & Pittard > Enright & Vlastuin
    4. Goodes & Hutchins > Enright & Rookie other than Vlastuin

Anyone with me on any of these alternatives?

    Concerns:
    – Is Vlastuin worth the extra coin ($50k less cash generation)?
    – JS and scoring potential on DEF rookies appears very low.
    – Worth getting one of the cheaper rookies to afford H.Shaw (the original plan)?
    – Can Enright return to his historic average to warrant a keeper for the season?

  42. I have already used the reverse trade button about 20 times!
    I’m thinking either…

TU/ Crouch and Gibbs out for Ablett and Vlaustin (or another DEF rookie?)
TD/ Blicavs and Pittard out for Gawwn and Shaw

I Have Viney in my mids to cover any donuts, but need to do atleast one backline trade to avoid a donut, and I am planning on hanging onto Goodes.

    Thoughts?

  43. Gibbs out, Shaw in?
Heppell, Gibbs, Goodes, PIttard and Hutchison all out in the backline, should I trade Gibbs as he is no certain to return in the next week or two?

  44. How it this

    Out
    Colquhoun & Pittard

    IN
    Vlastuin & Shaw
means I can keep Gibbs & Heppell and save a possible doughnut.

  45. have gibbs, goodes and hepppell out- gonna stick to my original plan of blicavs to gawn and an up grade of brown or dwyer. i figure upgrading these guys to a premo will almost cover the donut anyway, and then i don’ have to sideways trade….. question is which one and to who? leaning towards brown as dwyer playing weaker opposition this week…..
    brown (thumbs up)
    dwyer (thumbs down)

  46. Okay didnt want to use trades this week but its going to happen. So going Fyfe to JPKennedy
Would like some advice on trade 2:

T/U Do i go Gibbs to Dixon
T/D Do i give up on Hutchins and trade to Vlastuin

Either option will make about same amount of cash on the difference.
