A little dilema here
Thumbs up – bring sidey in this week because of low b\e and price heading north.
Thubs down – bring pendles in this week, hea must have.
If I bring pendles in this week sidey will come in next week and if I bring sidey in this week pendles will come in next as I have the cash

Ha! He used to a couple of years ago, before Crawf took his role at the HS but he wasn’t very good and a lot of people beat him so he probably takes great delight in screwing us all over as some twisted form of revenge!

5aa jus interviewed Shaun Rehn here in Adelaide, and he said that Renouf has been given 1 more wk. he said Redden is banging the door down for selection and that they couldnt go into the game with 2 rucks cos they’d be too tall. they have basically conceeded Redden is a better ruck. lets hope Renouf has a shocker this wk.

Good to hear. During past couple of interviews with Rehnie you can tell he rates Redden very highly. Rehn is a straight shooter when interviewed & is going to be a good coach – for a ruckman! Did a great job at Westies when they had the golden crop of young uns.

The only GWS players that are outs for me are Kennedy and Bugg but luckily have cover. Good to see Big O come back and hopefully get me some cash or be good bench cover. Redden named as emergency but looks to be pushing for selection soon. Great to see adcock come back in after injury. Got a feeling I’m in for a big score this week….
Im thinking of doing this trade this week, i think its good but wondering what you guys think
In: Birchall and Stanton
Out: Ellis and Goodes
Leaves 42K in the bank

Named in the centre every week AB. Seems to play some defensive type role, and hangs around for scraps coming out of defence, like a link man. Seems to be scoring well though.

Keep Mumford should be back next week. Big O will prob be back out after this week its a wasted trade.

Back problems usually don’t disappear with spinal injections, especially with a >100kg rig to carry about the place. My feeling with Mumford is that he’ll be rested every 4-5 weeks. As for the reason I’ve kept him until now, Lord knows.
Like or Dislike:

Completely agree, thats why I traded him out as soon as i knew he had a back problem. But there is no point trading to someone who will play one game then be out because he isn’t in the best 22. So trade to a premium who will play the rest of the year barring injury. Suggestions = the peoples mullet (Maric), Cox, Ryder.
I would keep him just to see how he goes next week but its your team, he might be cherry ripe, play the rest of the year and average 110. There is not that much risk in keeping him for another week.

Thumbs up – trade Bugg to Spurr
Thumbs down – trade Ellis to Spurr
Ellis still has cash to be made after this game whereas bugg is almost done
Hot debate. What do you think?

Trading Ellis doesn’t seem right.. Only made around 100K and should have more to make once the 2 is out of his system.
Bugg seems to have peaked, though he could be a potential keeper for the rest of the season…
I traded Bugg out, I remember reading somewhere that GWS planned on limiting their rookies to 14 games a season this year.

I think he might be in trouble when Suban comes back and in the meantime will wax the vests with Neale and Roberton.

A little off topic but think it may come in handy when deciding on possible trades this week.
Anyone recall a post containing a link to a nifty little ‘app’ that, once clicked while in team view, would indicate the bye round for that player?

Keep in mind that Darley also averaged 25-30 touches at both U16 & U18 Carnivals. Won best Div.2 Player. Led both divisions in some good SC Scoring Stats. Also played against the big boys for a year at North Hobart, and was All-Australian U18. Plays in & out. Can play. Straight swap for Bugg. Milk Ellis a bit more.

Buntine is a highly rated KPP so should take the place of Hombsch allowing Chadleigh to swing forward.
I am passing up the risk on Spurr JS for Darley as I think he will take the vacated Kennedy/Bugg small DEF role, particularly with Bugg playing more in the midfield last few games.

Good to see Sam Darley getting a go! Let’s hope he can continue his pre-season form and he will be a nice pick-up…
Anyway, I was hoping to keep Bugg till I had 7 premium defenderc but now with his bad form and getting dropped I’m not sure. The question is, will he come back in next week, and if he does will he be fresh and back to his best?!
Thumbs up – Yep, he will be back to 80+ scores
Thumbs down – Nah, he’s hit his peak, trade him out

Ok so im in two minds.. One trade I’ve set in concrete, and im happy with it. For the second, I have a total of $450,000 spending money. I either trade out Coniglio for Judd to make up a midfield of; J.Kennedy, Boyd, Pendles, Mitchell, Selwood and Judd. Orrrr… I play Coniglio, and trade out Homsch in def for a defender because Bugg is NOT playing.. If i do the judd deal i will be going in to Round 8, one defensive man DOWN.. Comments?

Plus with Coniglio’s 100 last week together with the 80 something I think he can make another 50K within the next couple weeks to then peak.
Birchall has bottomed out so jump on him. I went Bugg – Birchall im feeling its a very solid trade.

David, as Hugh correctly stated, Coniglio still has a way to go (well at least a couple of weeks – maybe in his Rnd 11 bye week) before trading him out. If he scores 80 + that is not bad for a M6.
Bugg will miss this week (Rnd 8) & Rnd 11, if he is rested in Rnds 9 or 10 that is only one game in the next 4. Also, remember that Darley & Buntine will be getting as many games (if not more) than the already exposed young GWS defenders such as Bugg. Therefore for a $140K changeover you could go from Bugg to an underpriced Defender such as Bichall, Rance, Newman or Duffield. Even Bourgoyne with his DPP & 404K would give you 80′s & odd big one + help with the old switchyroo.

What are peoples thoughts on Jed Adock this year?
Seems a bit of risk but very cheap at 430,000 and could be a good upgrade for Bugg

Got him in my side, first year doing supercoach and my very first mistake was trading him in round 2… Don’t know why I did but yeah I did….
He is doing ok with his average (86) but scores have all been pretty average after his 140, that’s the only thing keeping his average up. My advice don’t get him in yet maybe in a few weeks if he proves himself… Hope this helps

can anyone see something wrong with these trades?
Bugg-> Spurr. Shiel->Zorko(DPP)
next week.
Conigs -> Dal Santo. Milera ->Danger or Zaharakis.

Im contemplating getting Zorko in but with Voss’s track history (i’ve heard) with rookies I would really try to old fire till next week when he’s on the bubble and really only if he isn’t sub this week. Dal Santo will prob drop over the next two weeks so you could go:
Rd8: Bugg – Spurr
Rd9: Shiel – Zorko and Milera – Zaha
Rd10: Coniglio – Dal Santo
Coniglio still has around 3 more good price rises in him as well.

$785,800 in bank & 18 trades left. Looking at trading out Bugg & A.Hall for either: (votes & comments appreciated)
Thumbs UP: C.Newman & Sidebottom ($282,500 left)
Thumbs DOWN: C.Newman & Saad ($705,800 left)
Either way plan to get:- NDS next week @ $480K (trade out Magner?), Marc Murphy round 9 or 10 (for Greene or Coniglia) & Priddis Rnd 12? (Horsely or remaining GWS man)

McDonald still could make another 150K when he does eventually play. I think they just want him there on and off spech when kids start dropping off. He’ll play enough games to get to around 400K but it might not be till round 15. Shiels BE is close to his average so trade him out. Plus he is worth more right now so saving a few bucks.

But I was wanting to move Ellis on and then Sheeds gets rid of Smith, Kennedy and Bugg. Then Smedts and Hall dont play…..hard to get a forward line
Anyway makes it interesting

FWIW i suggest people consider not trading out Ellis this week just because he will bleed $ over the next two weeks with last week’s sub-affected score.
Sure if it fits with your strategy go for it but he and Morris have the Rd 13 bye therefore wlll be great value to minimising doughnuts in Rds 11/12 and can then be up/downgraded prior to their bye with players who have already had theirs.
As we found with Devon Smith, a low sub-affected score is only two good games away from significant appreciation, particularly when you can carry them on the bench without impacting on your score.
Food for thought opposing the popular convention?

I’m about to trade in Zaharakis for Porps but I notice he has moved to forward in this week lineup instead of Mids where he’s been scoring tons for the past few weeks. He didn’t score that well and didn’t get much possesions when started as forward in round 2-4.
I haven’t really watch any Bombers game so would be very keen in getting some insight.
t.up: do the trades and stop worrying too much
t.down: hold as chances he might get lower score this week.

Zaha will go through the midfield like every week we need his run through the stoppages. Will go close to averaging 100 this year I think which is perfect for your forward line.

Roo Bloke and other North fans
Am looking at an upgrade to a Rd 11 bye FWD/MID DPP this week and rather going the popular Dangerfield route was looking at Harvey as a POD given his price and record.
I’m aware of his propensity to struggle with the hard tag but 4 poor scores in a row now make me feel uneasy.
Any recommendation that he can return to a 100 average?

What about Studley Deano. Besides a 25 in RD4 (presume he was injured mid-game but can’t remember) he’s had 104, 121, 90 & 106.

Definatly NAY. Key forwards can never keep up consistent form (besides Buddy). We have tough run home and you need your premiums firing at the end of the year so don’t jump on.
Sidebum, Beams, Zaha, Chappy all those mid/fwd jump on.

Who should I make captain this weekend? Pendles or J.Kennedy?
Sydney are playing melbourne.. but Kennedy might be tagged by McKenzie.. My opponent will probably have Pendles as captain. Comments?

from the two i’d take kennedy.. could be massive against the dees!
not sure of my own I have J.Kennedy – Pendles – Murph – J.Selwood – G.Ablett..
All could have monster games.. all for different reasons wether its an easy draw for the week or to make up for previous weeks..
