  4. I know the poll earlier this week showed Heath Shaw as the best option to bring in for Grimes. But I still am leaning towards Adcock…whats peoples thoughts and reasoning on why Shaw is the better option?

  5. Was thinking Boak-> I. Smith [To also add flexibility].
and Grimes-> Shaw perhaps? not too sure. Comments would be great.

  8. These guys are all fighting for the same spot on field this week (I know it seems wierd, but it’s true.) Who do you think should get a run?

    – A.Krakouer
    – R.Bewick
    – D.Stanley
    – L.Tapscott
    – J.Darling
    – B.Matera

  9. Told you all that Pederson’s JS was pretty poor. North’s strength over most clubs is our group of talls (be it defenders, forwards or rucks) and Pederson is way down the pecking order at North in the talls.

  10. With LRT named, I think it’ll free up Grundy a touch more, and make him an attacking weapon.

    Grimes —–> Grundy
    Curnow —–> Boyd.

  11. with 192,000 in the bank, and currently 2 0’s (grimes/curnow… unless liba plays) what do i do??

thumbs up – grimes –> jacobs, curnow –> mundy -(heater in next week)

thumbs down – grimes –> shaw, stanley –> jacobs, then pray/ wait until tomorrow to see if libas playing? – (mundy in next week)

  12. Thinking
Grimes, Harris ———–> Gilbert and Jacobs

Was going to do the Harris trade regardless next week as to not have so many GC players on the pine in round 9

  13. Anyone remember this time of year 2009? Ryan O’Keefe hit 10 consecutive tons from round 7 to round 16, averaging a massive 134 in that time! He scored a 125 in Round 7 last week… Just sealed the deal on this week’s trades:
    Grimes > Shaw
    Curnow > O’Keefe

  20. Had enough of higgins and need some coin so thinking of downgrading him to smith and then playing tapscott in his place. With the 320k I will upgrade curnow to either watson or dal and then the following week Grimes to Enright.

Dont like downgrading a ‘premium’ but I get the feeling higgins will give us continuous grief all year.

    Good call?

  21. okay, iv done what everyone seems to be either suggesting or doing this week, im a sheep, i dont care.

    grimes to jacobs
    curnow to mundy

pretty happy with my structure. iv got all the premiums everyone seems to have a mix of.

swan, watson, mundy, goodes, higgins, pavlich, buddy, roo, godd, adco, deledio, gibbs, sandi, cox.

    NOW MY QUESTION

stevie j,, been last minute dropped a couple of times in the side. i have him also… and this week, he is brought back in at centre half forward in the teams for tomorrow night.

    BUT

he doesnt have a green bubble next to his name on the supercoach site…

    im scared.. thoughts?

  22. Going with a flexibility change this week.

Hoping Jacob’s job security holds up as I’ll go with him to replace Grimes to hopefully free up some DPP’s in my backline which.

Also looking to trade and an obvious one for me will be to move Curnow on for Deledio for the reasons stated above.

I have heaps of flexibility at the other end (and will have even more next week when Smith hopefully solidifies his position this weekend) but after that it’s all in preparation for post round 13 and the Swan trade! Saving my pennies for that one 🙂

  23. Morning all,

Need some advice for this weeks trading (if any). I have Grimes and Duigan on the pine. The only downgrade I see for Duigan is Jacobs. (I have Puopolo already). I only have $29k in the kitty.

I did however like the thought of bringing Jacobs into the mids to open up MPP. Swallow, Libba, Atley etc arent ready yet for milking though.

    Do I………
1.) Trade Duigan for Jacobs and upgrade Grimes to Shaw/Enright/Fisher this week and loose possible MPP with the mids (unless Hibberd gets a run soon of course)

2.) Dont trade this week and bring Jacobs into the mids for Swallow next week which opens up MPP and then trade up Grimes

    Thumbs up for option 1
    Thumbs down for option 2
    (or any other suggestions welcome)
thanks all and good luck this weekend.

  24. Dont trade duigan yet, let him play another game, his BE is around 40 odd so he should make a few extra $$ for you in his next game.

Also, Jacobs hasnt even played yet, wait to see how we goes.

Hibberd will get games but I think it will be on-off.
Hopefully he plays a blinder in the VFL this week and forces hirdy’s hand 🙂

Swallow still has some fattening to do aswell, he wont peak for a few weeks, there bye next week is a bitch but he’ll keep making money when they come back.

  26. Any Hawks out there know what I Smith’s job security is like?

Is he in the 22 because of form (green tick) or is he filling in for someone injured (red tick)?

  27. I am considering a swap from Curnow to Kerr. Have I lost the plot or does that move have merit?

  28. No going to get a chance to make trades after 5 so now is the time.

Just went in and was about 1mm off pressing the trade in button for Lewis Johnston instead of Alex Johnson.

    Minor catastrophe averted.

He’ll probably turn out to be a massive POD young gun and rip it up when he takes Alex Johnson’s spot next week.

  29. Still trying to decide on Lids or Shaw. Thinking Lids because he doesn’t play for collingwood.

  32. Gday Boys,

Got my team pretty close to where I need it to be, saving enough trades for the finals still.

Looking at one trade only this week, mainly for flexibility as a DPP Forward / Midfielder.
I have enough coin in my bank to grab whoever I like really.
Whats everyones thoughts on the following players to bring in…
Ryan O’Keefe (Sydney have a nice run in the next 4 – 5 Weeks)
Alan Didak (Quite cheap at the moment, no byes late in the year)
Jared Brennan (Go to player at the GCS)
Colin Sylvia (Inconsistency is my only worry)
    Nathan Fyfe (speaks for himself)
Not putting Chappy or Brent Harvey as options due to byes in the final 4 weeks.
