    1. Full squad, but bench reads:
      Laird
      Boyd
      Ablett
      Wells
      Hall
      Adams.
Got one playing emg – Ryan Davis….

  1. I feel a rage trade coming on for Barlow……..he’s out of favour, that’s worse than being injured. At least with injury, you know he’s a week or two or whatever away from resuming………….

  2. That’s now Houli, Boyd, Laird, Adams, Ruggles, Ablett, Hall, Davis, Barlow, Wells & Papley all out this week. Brutal!!!

  3. Gonna have to reverse earlier in the week trades and have a serious re think of where my side is at.
I don’t think I’m in as bad of a state as some, but I still have: Adams, Ablett, Hall, Wells and Laird warming the pine. Throw in Ruggles and I currently have zero cover in defence and eating one donut up forward.

  4. Gee it seriously hurts looking at nearly $3million sitting on the bench for r9!

Amazingly, it looks like I’ll still field a full squad of 22…..touch wood!!!!

  5. I have got to trade Wells now if I want a good replacement as I have 7 of my starting team out. I am thinking Ward or Treloar.

    Thumbs up Ward

    Thumbs down Treloar

    Comment for Dahlhaus, motlop, zorko

    Cheers

  6. 4 outs after trades. Can cover one emergency on each line if needed.

But then again I was confident last week. Look where that got me.

    Play on field

    T/U Josh Adams
    T/D Mason Cox

  7. Unbelievably I’ll scrape a full team. Weitering, Davis and Sheridan in for Boyd, Ablett and Hall. I need to reverse trades and trade out Adams and keep Weitering.

  8. If barlow is not a late in will trade to dusty as otherwise have 9 guys not playing (not including houli who im already trading). 🙁

Was going to trade houli to docherty but won’t be able to afford barlow to dusty so am now looking at gibson or bartel (this also suits my bye structure).

    T/u houli to gibson
    T/d houli to bartel

  9. 1.1k in the bank so very little room for manoeuvre.

T/U I go Houli and Barlow to McVeigh and Priddis, (means I can loop Hewett with Davis and M. McGovern with Menadue)

or stick with my original plan and

T/D Houli and Brown to Gibson and MacPherson (leaves me $175k but means I have to field both McGovern and Menadue in my forward line but can loop Hewett with MacPherson/Davis)

Any help in this trying and stressful time would be greatly appreciated.

  10. It is forecasted to absolutely bucket down in Perth for the Dockers game. IF Barlow isn’t a late in I’ll personally send the AFL a letter demanding they get looked at for tanking! Barlow should be playing! There’s 21 other spuds that Freo could drop

  11. So confused on how to fill the void left by so many outs
TU Ablett and papley out for trelour and buddy leaving no cash in the bank
TD m Couch papley out for McPherson and Zorko leaving 260K cash for more upgrades later on
Let me know what you all think thanks everyone

  12. Thumbs up- Out: Wells, Barlow, In: Keays, Montagna 279,500 remaining in salary.
Thumbs down: Out: L McCarthy, Wells/ Barlow, In: MacPherson, Montagna. 105,000-190,000 remaining in salary.

  13. Is it too late to bring in Keays. Fits my bye structure as having MacPherson makes it about 12-13 from round 13 and a mid bench of Hewitt, Davis and MacPherson.
    Thumbs up- Bring in Keays.
    Thumbs down- Bring in MacPherson

    11
    1. Adam – I would bring in Macpherson as Keays has already had his first (large) price rise.

Keays should play this week despite being named on the 7 man interchange (surely they can’t drop the bloke that I think got the most contested possessions last week), but who knows how good his job security is?

Obviously, the same could be said for Macpherson, but I reckon Rocket would love his desire to tackle hard and often. Just needs to kick a goal or two, and clean up his disposal a little.

Am hoping Macpherson kicks a couple, and that he also gives Davis a couple of snagger rolls this week (as both will be on my field)!!

  14. Currently have 3 donuts-

    TU:
    – Papley + Wells —> Brand + Zorko
    – 1 donut left

    TD:
    – Gresham + Wells —> McPherson + Montagna/Docherty
    – 2 donuts left

    8

    1
  15. Currently have Boyd, Laird and Ruggles on my back line, so one of those is a donut so far. Only have 18 trades left due to poor “trade management.”

T/U: downgrade Ruggles for cash generation, but burn a trade
T/D: hold for now, save a trade and just miss out on the 40-odd that Ruggles would’ve scored

    1

    9
  16. Currently have 1 donut

    T/U Adams-Enright
    Crouch-priddis

Leaves me with 0 donuts then I go Sinclair-Goldstein next week

    T/d Sinclair-Goldstein
    Crouch-Enright

Still leaves me with 1 donut but arguably stronger squad

    Feedback is appreciated, cheers

  17. Community, I need enlightenment with another week of carnage to come.

    My Team:

DEF: Shaw, Simpson, Bartel, AMT, Hartley, DBJ (Houli, Adams)
MID: Danger, Hannebery, Pendles, Ward, Petracca, Libba, Wines, J.Smith (Wells, Hewett, GAJ)
    RUCK: Gawn, Martin (Wyatt)
FWD: Hall, Martin, Kerridge, Brown, BenKen, Menadue (Wells, Barlow)

What do I do this week community as my main priorities?

Fire away, any criticisms are welcome. 🙂

        1. You seem to have Wells in your team twice so I’d start with that….

Houli has to go, get a premo fwd to replace him by downgrading Wells or Menadue

          2

          0
  18. Forward line includes Barlow, Hall, Wells and Papley, so
    Houli and Wells out
    Adams back to defence
    ZMerrett and Tippett in
I’m aware that these are not great options, but I think it’s the best I can do. I’m going to need ruck cover at some stage, probably really soon the way this season is going….

  19. Considering bringing in Crocker instead of MacPherson to keep my Fwd/Mid DPP alive…

T/Up: Keep the DPP (has come in very handy with all the injuries of late)
T/D: Bring in MacPherson, he will make more money

    Thanks!

  20. Thumbs up- Hold both Barlow and Wells, trade DeGoey out for Montagna
Thumbs down- Trade one of Barlow or Wells for Montagna.
If thumbs down comment on which player should be traded first.

    3

    4
    1. Wells

De Goey has more chance to score higher than Barlow or wells Coz he is playing. 100+ last week too.

      1. Thanks Harbour Heroes. The plan now is to trade Wells for Montagna and the leftover money will be used to upgrade DeGoey to M Priddis next week.

  21. Ive been hit by the carnage (ablett, laird, wells and hall on the pine) but continuing with my trades for the week.

Bringing MCox from ruck 3 to the forward line by trading out adams for loophole cheap forward ruck from goldcoast Laersch (mainly for bye rounds).

Then need help on the second trade of Mitch Brown to any mid/forward to keep the DPP (675K)

    T/U Z Merret (for POD)
    T/D Dusty

    Comment: Any other

    Thanks

  22. does anyone know how long Papley’s out for- i traded menadue for zorko but might change it to Paps if its long term…..

  23. I do believe I have set a record this week with the following players on the pine:
    Laird
    Suckling
    Ablett
    Rockliff
    Wells
    Grimley
    Barlow
    Hall

Not sure about total value but if you can top that please do so I can feel (slightly) less bad.

      wells

  5. BIG MAX BAILEY!!! Means nothing for SC really but he’s a bit like a rucking messiah down at Hawkland. Hopefully the SCG isn’t too hard….or to soft….or too green. Think the medicos should take some extra tape just in case.

  12. Thoughts on potential trade needed. These will be probably the next two trades that I’ll make.

    1. Curnow/Harris or Libba into Boyd/Mzungu
    or
    2. SMac/Matera or Tappy into Buddy/Lynch.

Which trade should I make and which cow should I trade?

  13. Smith out!? Need to rethink about my trades now,

    Mckernan > Puopolo
    Curnow > Hibberd
    THUMBS UP

    or

    Thompson > Puopolo
    Swallow > Hibberd.
    THUMBS DOWN

Should I wait for Curnow to come back from his injury or trade out Swallow and upgrade Curnow next week? Smith out does shake things up a bit :S

  14. Ross Lyon must be weally weally weally serious this week. – He’s making a massive statement with Gram, McEvoy and McQualts. NOT!! It’s a bit of a pain, because now I need to find a ruckman as GC have the bye. rrrr

Also, with Mzungu – what are the chances he won’t be the sub?

Should I trade McCauley for Vardy??
Will get some money from it at least and I won’t have a zero

  19. For some reason I’m not keen on upgrading him….
I kind of want to keep him and upgrading him would cost much needed upgrading cash elsewhere.

And I’m first in my league but that’s not much 😛

  22. One of my many conundrums this week, who to play in the backs:

    Doi-gan (green)
    or
    Lower (red)

I’m thinking Lower becuase of Freo’s injuries and he’s named in the guts against Pathetic Adelaide Power.

    Thoughts?

  24. Now time to rate mine. Very pleased with them this week with a bit of DPP action involved!

    L. Thompson > M. Hibberd
    D. Swallow > L. Hodge

Buying Hibberd over Puopolo allows me to switch Heppell into the backs and Hodge to complete my midfield line. After trades backs/mids will look like this:

BAC: Goddard, Gibbs, Deledio, Shaw, Duffield, Heppell, Lower
    EMG: Duigan, Stanley, Toy

MID: Swan, Judd, Selwood, Priddis, Goodes, Hodge
    EMG: Harris, Iles, Hibberd

When Krakouer (FWD) reaches milking time, he’ll switch into the mids for Goodes and be upgraded to a premium mid of choice.

  25. like the trade MJ although is Hodge back to full fitness, im worried about his achillies, how about Mundy?

    0

    0
  26. Hibberd ok, although only concern would be JS. Consider Jacobs as well.

Not sold on Hodge. Achilles issues plus can cop a tag. Can you get Mundy? 100+ every week and has a multi-bye round coming up.

  27. If we miss out on Puoppolo and Hibbert this week and want to use Ben Jacobs in the middle for DPP reasons is there any other downgrade options in the backline coming up in the coming week or two???

    0

  28. If Jordan Lisle gets a gig and goes ok the week he could be a chance with Stratts and Gilham out for the year. Looked ok up forward in pre-season so we’ll have to see if he can play down back as well. I think Shoey might get the nod ahead of him though.

Daniel Talia?? Showed a little bit preseason and is listed as back RD 9. Anyone know how he’s traveling?

    Luke Delaney????

Yeah, it’s definitely starting to dry up.

  29. Thanks for all the feedback earlier fellas, always much appreciated to get a second opinion. I’ve concocted another trade scenario for this week:

    Thumbs up (new):
    L.Thompson > S.Fisher
    D.Swallow > M.Hibberd

    Thumbs down (original):
    L.Thompson > L.Hodge (max $523,400 ie. can’t afford Mundy)
    D.Swallow > M.Hibberd

    Cheers 🙂

  30. I Smith out is surprising and raises a question mark over his JS.
Puop’s JS is helped by some injuries. Hibberd also has questionable JS but worth the punt I think. Both these guys are in for me this week.
    MZUNGU is a great sight!

Now, can anyone tell me how I can get it on here?

  32. Okay with Smith out it means I have to play either Bewick or bring someone up from forwards and play Mckernan up forward…..I hate playing both of them.

    So should I:
    1. Stick with my original plan of bringing in Shaw/Fisher and deal with playing Bewick/Mckernan (Thumbs Up)
    2. Or bring in Hodge so I don’t have to play Bewick/Mckernan and hope that Shaw/Fisher don’t raise in price too much (Thumbs Down)

Keep in mind I could use the league win this week too being 3-2

  33. Good day to you all,

For me, the main concern is that I don’t have MID/DEF MPP coverage in my midfield (made the mistake of leaving Heppell in my defence before Round 1, along with Goddard & Gibbs). As such, I was really keen on bringing in either Hibberd or Jacobs ASAP.

However, I’m a bit uneasy over Hibberd’s scoring potential and job security, but at the same time, I don’t want to break the cardinal rule with Jacobs, and bring him in before he’s named for a 3rd game.

My dilemma is that if I wait for Jacobs, I’ll miss out on some other solid rookies next week (i.e.: I. Smith, T. Lynch, etc).

So my dilemma is (a) who to bring in this week (0, 1 or 2 rookies), and as such, what would be the repurcussions for next week.

Note: As I have a weak opponent in my league this week (and a tough one next week), my original plan was to do a DOUBLE DOWNGRADE this week, and a DOUBLE UPGRADE next week).

    Would love some feedback.

    Thanks.

  34. Need some advice guys. Sitting 1200 overall with solid mids, fwds and rucks.
Backs are Gibbs, deledio, shaw, broughton, heppell, lower, Buckley, Mckernan,’Thompson and Markovic. Was going to bring in I.smith for curnow and upgrade Thompson to fisher. New scenario below…..

Thumbs up — Thompson & lower –> puopolo & fisher
Thumbs down — curnow & Thompson –> mzungu & fisher

I know mzungu is bit premature, but I need the mpp flexibility, and I’d start Buckley over puopolo anyways.

    Cheers guys!

  35. okay.. hating life right now…

i have used the DPP effectively, sort of… i now have 6, count em, SIX! backlin players who can also play in the middle… but only ONE in the guts to switch with them! FML!

also have ONE in the guts to sub with 3 down forward…. sooo annoying.

anyway, pulled the trigger on the usual trades this week, stanley to hibberd, and swallow up to boyd.

midfield at full strength has the following options

swan, watson, boyd, goodes, mundy, pavlich, higgins, gibs, goddard, deledio and a number of other rookies to choose from.. seeing as they are the highest scorers, i have decided to complete that aspect of my team first.

the rucks score big too, thats why i have cox and sandi on the ground, and petrie and smith making me money on the bench, for downgrades later on.

    thoughts?

  36. Help please!

Lower (Freo), Thompson (ADL) or Mckernan (ADL) as D7

    Heppell or Libba M7?

    Petrie or Krak F7?

This decision has cost me wins in the last two weeks, i have no faith in myself to make the decision anymore!!! last week I picked Petrie (50 odd)over darling (90 odd) and lost by 20!

    Please help!!

  39. What would you do with this team??

I was set to bring in Smith, but not now…. (Im 1200 overall with 38k in the bank)
Im contemplating bringing in Fisher or Suckling (with both having solid B/E) to push Lower or Buckley to the bench, but how would you go about it RE downgrade options (puopolo, Hibberd, Mzungu?). Also, am I being too impulsive, and can I assume Lower (vs Port) & Buckley (vs Crows) should score pretty well considering both starting on field.

Gibbs, Shaw, Deledio, Broughton, Heppell, Lower, Buckley
    McKernan, Thompson, Markovic

Swan, Pendles, Cotchin, Bartel, Joelwood, Libba
    CURNOW, Harris, Atley

    Cox, Sandi
    Smith, McCauley

Franklin, Goodes, Fyfe, NReiwoldt, Dawes, Darling, Petrie
    Tappy, Duncan, Matera

Comments are welcome, or Thumbs up to trade, and Thumbs down to conserve…..

  43. He is named on the half forward flank on the AFL website so I would assume he’d play… didn’t he only miss a week or so ago with the old general soreness?
I personally think where they are named on I/C list is irrelevant especially when trying to work out sub, it means nothing.

  44. I’m trading Higgins, but need advice on which is best option:

Thumbs up for Hodge ($443,000 – average 97.5)
Thumbs down for Jude Bolton ($432,400 – average 111)

  45. Guys + girls, there is a strong rumour sweeping across my desk that Swan will be a late omission due to a slight shoulder injury. Make sure you pick your Vice Captain with care.
