I wanna say Boumann because I have a lack of Hawthorn but I haven’t heard too much about him, so JS is a worry, Then there’s Morris, he’s pretty popular, people think he’ll get regular games but there’s always a chance he gets dropped. Plus, 3 tigers defenders makes it even harder

I’m still sticking with Pfffffr at this stage as long as he plays.
If he doesn’t I think it has to be between Smedts and Hall. If you are worried about the bye structure then pick accordingly. If you have a risky mid-pricer in the backline that you’re worried about (Lake, Hargrave etc.) then get Smedts. He’ll give you the flexibility to bring in a forward or a back if the mid-price gamble doesn’t pay off.

I think tonight was a good wake-up call for tipsters….. I also got sucked into the Tigers hype and actually logged in tonight before the game to make sure I tipped the Blues. Not convinced Pfeiffer will make the final 22 for the Power. If I took a stab I reckon the bench will be K Cornes, Thomas (will be safe) with Broadbent & Logan nudging out Pfeiffer for the last 2 spots. Also keep in mind that Jackson Trengove (finger) and Robbie Gray will come back next week, so if Pfeiffer doesn’t make team for Rnd 1 will find it difficult, unless there are injuries. As for Robbie Gray – hamstring tightness and will miss just the 1 week. Was surprised to hear this, but will keep the faith, had Kennedy from GWS on my bench as emergency so all is not lost and will start Gray on the field and get Kennedy’s score, so if you’re in a similiar position to me all is not lost!

Scarily similar situation to 2010 where Gray was looking good in preseason and sucked a lot of people into picking him up (including myself). Got told he would only miss the week with a minor back complaint. Turned into two weeks, then three weeks. Finally got on the park in round 4, scoring 70. Round 5 saw him grab 48 points. At this stage he was due for his price drop so most people who hadn’t already, jumped ship. Next two games produced 127 and 93. 2010 was always going to be a nightmare of a season after that.
And don’t even get me started on the Mitch Clark/Mark Seaby saga!

Gray is my only risk, and compared to gamble on him. I’ve watched him closely over the pre-season and been impressed, so I’m sticking with him but can understand completely where you’re coming from MJ. I must confess as well I was thinking, is this 2010 re-visited. I certainly hope not. Only time will tell I guess.

Just realised I can afford Wingard in place of Pfeiffer.
If Pfeiffer is in the 22, I’ll keep him as my only M/F link in MID.
If not, I’m still really keen to keep the M/F cause I only have 3 premium mids (202 ruck sacrifice) but would need to punt on Pfeiffer, Couch, Kerridge to make it work.

Struggling to find a round 12 defender with good JS (and at least some potential) under $300K. I know my structure will prob go out the window with injuries/poor form etc, so maybe should look outside RD 12 and consider Lake/Hargrave (have Golby atm as a pod).

spewing pheiffer didnt get named in the team this week.
Threw in J paine from collingwood as a replacement. Anyone know much about him? hes only 106,000 and is a fwd/def named center half forward. Knowing my luck he will be dropped next week
