The Twelfth SC Day of Christmas

Written by Thommo on December 25 2018

On the Twelfth Day of Christmas, Thommo brought to you, Twelve guns gunning…

Eleven Achilles a snapping (well, one anyway)

Tenth in contested possessions…

Nine tonnes tonning…

Eight-ty points a game…

#7 a Bomber Bombing…

Six clearances a game…

Five Gold Coast Suns…

Four bargain Blues…

Three bench men…

Two winged Crows…

And Paddy switched to Mid-forward D-P-P

Instead of writing a review of another 2019 lock (I would have written up Dillon Roberton or Toby Greene today), I’ve decided to throw a rough draft up showing how a team looks using many of the players I’ve reviewed from the last 11 days. As seems to happen every year, Lachie Neale has once again been bumped from my side, this time in favour of Dustin Martin.

I don’t really know why.

It’s all pretty straight forward: I have aimed for the obligatory 12 guns in my starting squad and a few mid-price players returning from injury.

Clearly rookies will need to be adjusted, injuries will happen and I need to adjust to byes, but this is approximately how my team will structure up.

Now let’s see if Toby Greene, Dillon Roberton and Matthew Kreuzer can make it through the preseason without mishap!

Feel free to tell me what a genius I am!

Merry Christmas all! See you all in 2019 for some articles involving actual research!

  2. Great series Thommo. Thanks.
You have three months to sort your team out, so you’ll be fine.
    Merry Christmas all 😉
