The Weekly Fyfe Poll

Written by Schwarzwalder on July 4 2017

Lisa & Jack have asked the question (again) in the Polling Station of Nat Fyfe.  Is it still worth holding onto him?  Like I said in that thread……..When you have to ask the question every week (for the last six weeks) then the answer becomes quite clear.

Fyfe was a late withdrawal from the Geelong game (two weeks ago) with a ‘bruised sternum’.  When he has played recently, he’s only produced an 88 avg from his past eight games.  The elite midfielders have been averaging 110-115 in that same time.  Fyfe’s form has been far from elite and a return to the ‘good ol days’ looks less likely with each passing week.  Last weeks ‘Fyfe Poll’ came up with a 75% majority for ‘Hold’.  Will be interesting to see what this poll produces……….

What to do with Nat Fyfe after another mediocre performance?

  1. HOLD!
I would much rather be getting a full premo side of 22 Premiums than moving Nat on. He is a gun plain and simple, and fingers crossed will come good over the next 8 weeks. Luxury upgrades with my final 4 trades will potentially be with players like Shaw and Fyfe, but for the moment I would advise holding the champ!

  2. Just give it 2 or 3 more weeks of scores of 80-90 to where many will move him on for him to go pump out 120 scores during the finals. It is just bound to happen

  3. He’s in my 22 and I’m down to 5 trades. Only voted hold because of this. He looks like he’s a 90-95 average at best for the run-in. With Freo virtually out of contention, he is a big chance for a rest somewhere along the line.

  4. I’m trading Martin in this week, also Docherty in for Tuohy. I have Priddis and Fyfe. 5 trades after that.

    T/u trade out Priddis
    T/d trade out Fyfe

  5. A definite hold for me.
Freo are playing North this week and North have a bad habit of playing players who are out of form back into form.
Who did GAJ play against when he hit the double ton – NM
The Bont has scored one ton in the last 7 weeks but who was it against – NM
Tom Lynch has consecutive scores in the 30 ‘s then pumps out a ton. Who agsinst? You guessed it -NM
I am tipping at least a ton from him this week

  6. At this point I would rather keep him and try bring in a robbie gray / sloane / Jack steven to loophole with him at M8 / M9

  7. N Fyfe:
    Avg VS NM since 2011: 127.33 from 9 (low of 94 and a high of 164, 1/9 below 100, 7/9 120+, 2/9 140+)

Fyfe’s only 120+ this year was against NM in RD5.

    1. Last chance against North, I reckon. If he can’t crack 90 again this week, then it’s time to go………

  8. I have an idea for another poll: how long will it be until the majority of people vote ‘trade’ in the weekly Fyfe poll?
