Again a difficult week to choose a capt. Will Gaj play full 4 qtrs. My other perma capt in gajs absence has been Pendles but will he cop a Raines tag? I voted buddy against the Dees. But that means Friday night captain voodoo!!!

Ablett is a bit risky to throw him the captaincy. Theres a chance he could be either subbed in or subbed out depending on how McKenna manages GAJ’s injury.

I’m very happy to have Gaz in my side, but I’m surprised by all the talk about brining him back in. He’s $700k, very difficult to maintain that price – just ask Pendlebury. Who’s to say the knee injury doesn’t come back to bite

Its just the perfect oppurtunity with Goodes going out that’s all..Otherwise I dare say I’d be pretty hard to bring him back in even if you wanted to….But you got to trade Goodes for someone whether its a downgrade this week it will need to be an upgrade next week..Gazza b/e isnt that low so its not like his price will drop that much…To me its a great time if you can afford him due to Goodes injury…

Yeah it just seems so convenient with Goodes going out. Will leave my Mids with Gaz, Pendles, Swan, Selwood, Murphy, Shiel, McDonald & Clay smith (trading magner for Adams to switch with Goodes)
Alternatively What do you do with Goodes? Turning him into Horsley seems the only other Viable think to do, leaving me 17 trades and 750k in the bank.

But then what??? You’re going to have to get someone next week anyway….You cant leave 650k hanging around for too long….So effectively you’ve gone Goodes to Pendles (forced LTI move) in a two week period and kept Ablett…
Otherwise you pass on him this week and you spend your next month trying to work out how to get him back in again.
Of course there’s no guarantees regarding his knee,form etc but all you can do is go by past experiences and we all know what that looks like when it comes to Gaz

mate firstly id have Dempsey on the field over Ellis, secondly smedts hasn’t produced a decent score all year so id bring in someone else, thirdly don’t know why you picked up sam reid. personally id go pendles over ablett this week. ablett might not even play if he does play he might get subbed and might spend a lot of time in the forward line.
