Thomas v Betts

Written by Motts on July 29 2010

Time for a poll and given this weekend’s MASSIVE game between the Pies and the Blues I’ve headed into the forward line to match up a couple of the smaller blokes for both teams. Daisy ($435,300, 93.18) started the year well but has dropped off the pace lately. Fast Eddie ($423,800, 90.88) has scored tons in 9/17 games this year but when he spuds it up, he spuds it up big time (37, 40, and 45). Who would you prefer to have on board?

Who to trade out of the TEAM before Rd11? (max three)

  • Ben Kennedy (MEL) (35%, 84 Votes)
  • Mitch Brown (ESS) (24%, 58 Votes)
  • Connor Menadue (RIC) (17%, 41 Votes)
  • Jacob Weitering (CAR) (14%, 33 Votes)
  • Darcy MacPherson (GCS) (11%, 26 Votes)

Total Voters: 105

  1. Obviously Daisy is the better player, but, irrespective of the result of this poll, he will be part of the team that will get the 4 points on saturday.

  2. not much to choose between them, i went for Thomas just because he plays for a better team and is likely to get better support.

    1. Quickly registered a vote for the other just to square the ledger. Had both of these guys in my team last year only to be hugely disappointed . . . I guess I was ahead of my time.

    1. Chances are you will. But you never know…… even in our darkest days we still managed a win over your boys when you least expected it.

        1. That’s 7 goals that are now shared between Hendo, Eddie, Jeff, Yaz, and (welcome back!!) Brad Fisher.

On a related note, can I just say how happy I am that Fev plays for another team now. I love watching him these days pout, sook, wave his hands in the air when he doesn’t get the ball, and generally have a negative effect on the Lion’s performance.

          1. It’s hilarious watching him throw his hands up in the air as the ball sails through the goals. Everyone else is starting to realise why he was marched, huge on and off field issues. The only disappointing part is Lachie’s inability to take hold of a game. Tomorrow would be a good place to start…

      1. You’ve got a career as a politician ahead of you Motts, after this and the Kepler Bradley debacle it seems you’re an expert at making outlandish promises you have no intention of keeping!
