Thursday Arvo Poll

Written by Motts on May 6 2010

Just something to fill in the time this afternoon. This is not really SC related – other than you’re probably not that likely to have these guys in your team regardless of how well they do – but who is your most hated AFL player? I’ll allow up to 3 answers.

Who should we start on-field in DEF? (four choices)

  2. Does anyone else hate JB? he is a gun but for some reason I dont like him. Also I dont like Kerr from west coast. and from Geelong – Milburn – ever since he took out SOS, c$nt. Also while at geelong, Stevey J (c@ck smoker) Mooney (a(_).(_)e bandit) and as much as he is a super gun! Chapman! (d*ck head)

    1. Wrong.

Browny is a dead. set. legend. One of the best of all time, absolute champion bloke. His name should appear in chat about the biggest legend of all time, not about the most hated bloke in the AFL!!

PS Stevey J and Paul Chapman are also champs!!

        1. And Spooner I dont really hate JB. He is a legend and an awesome footballer. I just love to hate em i guess cause he is so good. Maybe I just wish he was in Navy Blue! ๐Ÿ™‚

what do you think of Fev? ๐Ÿ™‚

          0

          0
          1. ๐Ÿ™‚ Anyone with a chin like Fev’s is fine by me. As you can see, my judgement of footballers can be … superficial at time ๐Ÿ™‚

(PS I am an unashamedly pro-Lions man…if you’d asked me last year I would have replied that if cocks had wings, Fev’s mouth would have landing lights….)

  3. Adam Goodes… can’t stand him!
Nick Maxwell gives me the shits as well.
I was discussing this the other day with someone and most of the people I despise the most wear a glove on one hand, the two mentioned above and Travis Cloke was a first choice as well.
How could you leave Chad Cornes off the poll?

    1. All valid options mate. Goodesy seems to be garnering a bit of support.

Had a feeling this poll would bring out some emotions.

      0

      1. The great emotive game that it is… there was always going to be players that missed out on being nominated and line had to be drawn somewhere.
        Great poll!

  4. Chad Cornes
    Milne the Tip Rat
Fev the biggest knob end to play the modern game
That bloke with the blonde afro at Freo
    The Crows
Judd for not going to the pies
Stanton for accepting the #5 jumper and shaming it
Jack Watts happened to him. I’d hide as well if the hype resulted in that level of embarrassment.
    Mark Williams
Shaun Burgoyne…Port Maggott made from glass
Luke McGuane for shaming his Dads great name
Mike Pyke for being picked as a Canadian Rugby player with zero experience when I went nowhere after trying really hard

    1. Love the Mike Pyke comment.

Still, JPod should be showing us all we’re still a chance! I turn 30 soonish, haven’t played a game since leaving the UK a few years back, but I still have the dream!

  5. Chris (I’m alright Jack!) Judd
Left the club that gave him a chance in the big time when he was unwanted in the draft (taken after Luke Ball for god’ sake), fixed his dickie shoulders, taught him how to play, made him skipper and delivered him a flag only to end up at what can only be described as a rabble of a club.
How he can fit in any training let alone games outside of his Visy CEO duties is beyond me.

      1. Knowing that kb barracks for Adelaide and Grimmo barracks for Collingwood makes these two posts particularly funny.

  6. ballayntine thomas and kerr cant stand them, one is a lil smart ass and needs to get flogged another thinks he is top shit, and the other just plays dirty goes for the man more then the ball. Kerr would have going for the player more times then uncontested possesions

        1. And I’m sure plenty jumped on JKT before last week which is chillingly like the BM of last year.
I think Beau has some real potential after getting confidence from playing well after his horrific injuries.

  10. Jason Gram vs. Nathan Krakouer.
    Who will play?
Who will play better this week?
Who will play better for the season?
Who will i trade out this week?

      1. Well that’s my logic too. But I tend to get those flip-of-the-coin decisions wrong most of the time.

  11. Maguire & Farmer for Chaplin/Kelly/Hargreave??? & Roberton
Maguire & Silvagni for Hurn & Roberton

or, pick Silvagni instead of Maguire & trade CYRIL BLOODY RIOLI!!!!

    Any thoughts????

    0

    0
      1. Not playing. He is a cash cow, so, maybe now is the time to upgrade. Also, he is worth more than either Silvagni or Farmer so it could net me a better weekly score.

I was thinking Scmidt, but he is on an extended bench, and I could be persuaded to take C.Cornes/Roberton for Silvagni/Farmer.

        0

        0
        1. The issue is will Hargeave or C.Cornes give a similiar return to Kelly, Chaplin or Hurn. If the answer is yes, then Maguire stays. Ideally, I’ll get a 100pt p.w player and keep Maguire.

          0

          0
          1. Keep Goose as D8 and trade in Farmer/COSOS for Hargrave/Sheppard if you have to trade.
Roberton is a fly by night whereas Shep will play every game for the rest of the season and his style suits SC scoring.

          2. Cheers for your thoughts Deano. I’ve not made any move as yet, and am still contemplating what I may do.

  17. Felt like I had to go back and reiterate my HATRED for Nick Maxwell… have you ever seen someone spend so much time yelling at umps and opposition players.
He absolutely shits me to tears!!!!!!!!!! (I’m sure the fact that he wears a black and white striped jumper doesn’t help either!)

  18. Would it be worth running this poll again for 2012? I don’t think a lot will have changed. Definitely should’ve included Ballantyne in the first one.
