    Don’t say that like it’s a bad thing… 😉

  2. Sunday 9pm finish and we’re talking teams at 5:30pm Wednesday. Hmmm… might be some people’s cup of tea but this 24/7 footy cycle is getting a bit much. Thursday night games nah and Sunday night games nah.

        1. The rolling lockout really makes it hard for the casual player. SC becomes a whole weekend committment which a lot dont have the time for. Part of me likes it as it helps avoid late outs, but a larger part of me wishes I didn’t have to check final teams before every match to be competitive. I would change the rolling lockout to only be active for all of round 1 and on Thursday night games before full teams are out for the rest of the year.

          1. yeah Uncle – this is something I have been saying for a number of years now … really not a fan of rolling lockout … lock teams in at first game … everyone in same boat and people get to have a weekend life as well …

Never going to happen though … you would need clubs to be truthful in their lineups and you would also see that DT won’t get as many people hopping on their site and loss of revenues from advertising etc …

            1. Spot on Macca advertising traffic is the big reason they wont change it back. As far as late outs go, I think having strong emergency cover is part of the game. AFL teams have to deal with replacing late outs (often unplanned) with emergencies why should SC be any different.

    2. Not only was I on a plane last Thursday with team announcements, I’ll miss all teams AND the bouncedown tomorrow again due to flying!

Netball usually gets in the way on Thursday and I can’t watch most of the game. Safe to say I’m not the biggest fan as I love to watch footy.

      1. If he sits in the goal square then Howe will stand him, I’d back Howe in and I think they’d both barely see the ball.

  3. So should you replace Balta this week if you haven’t got Parker?
Given that other corrections may be required next week for rookies you haven’t got eg Wilkie or mid price punts that didn’t pay off.
Need to generate cash, not sure it’s ideal to have anymore than 1 non playing rookie (ruckman loophole) at this time of year.

    1. Just wait a week, prices don’t change untill the opening of R3. Unless you’re covering a doughnut.

    2. If Parker comes out and scores 30 this week, his BE won’t be very high and the 87 will only be in 1 price change.

IF you need to do it, go for it, but might not be as urgent as you think it is.

  4. Thoughts on Grundy as v/c this week.

T/U Good option will bounce back

T/D Matt Crouch a better option for v/c

  5. Just putting this out there……Supercoach aside….. Dropping Balta is a dick move by Hardwick. Obviously the kid had a great Pre-Season and earned a spot for Rd1. Now he gets dropped even though we have two key players injured? Balta had a bit of trouble adjusting to the tempo but how will that improve if he gets dropped after one game?

    1. I hear you brother, I feel for the kid. Was only given 52% TOG , worse Grigg and Caddy are not even back yet. What chance does he have to fight for the best 22?

    2. He may have not followed instructions and needs a reality check! Might be back next week and play all year….?!

    3. Totally agree! So who provides the chopout for Nank in the ruck? Surely Hardwick doesn’t play Lynch in there coming off his PCL injury? McIntosh to pinch hit?

      1. It’s weird, the tigers assistant coach said Lynch will only contest around the ground.
But hardwick went onto say you’re playing ruck if you play.(I’m guessing he means when fit enough to do so?)

        Two things:
does lynch ruck around the ground and somebody takes the centre bounces?
Is Lynch fit enough to do so given in the second half he spent alot of time on the bench.

The tigers three ins are all strong runners… guessing they’re going to try and run the pies into the ground.

On a supercoach front, I’m keeping balta in my team. I think he’ll be back.

  6. So i don’t have bailey scott and i could move drew forward for balta and pick up scott . Then i would be using a trade to pick up a rookie who might not reproduce this week
Think i have just convinced myself to wait another week.

    1. However as jeanott just pointed out , grigg and caddy to come back , balta will enjoy a good season in vfl i think.
