Trade or Hold – Round 20

Written by Hot Sauce on August 2 2019

Rookies

Hold:

Will Setterfield – Fwd/Mid – $336,800 – AVG: 61.9 – BE: 50

Just when it looked like he should be traded, he scores his highest score of the year and now has plenty more cash to be made.

Noah Answerth – Def/Mid – $304,200 – AVG: 59.8 – BE: 17

For the second week in a row – he is mirroring Setterfield, as Answerth also scored his highest score last round and now has plenty of cash to generate as well as being a very handy DPP.

Griffin Logue – Def – $268,700 – AVG: 68.3 – BE: 64

Is worth trading but you’re likely to have more pressing issues.

Dylan Clarke – Mid – $315,900 – AVG: 71.5 – BE: 47

Continue holding him as an emergency cover and he still has a little more cash to make.

Nick Hind – Mid – $231,500 – AVG: 56.7 – BE: 15

Another solid game will see Hind make a bit more cash, so hopefully a few more solid games to come.

Reilly O’Brien – Ruc – $525,600 – AVG: 98.9– BE: 56

Continues to rise in value, but if he is on your bench he is a waste of money for your finals series.

Michael Gibbons – Mid – $346,600 – AVG: 61.1– BE: 6

Gibbons scored his 4th century of the season and is set to soar in price again. Has just continued to surprise his owners.

Chris Burgess – Def/Fwd – $249,100 – AVG: 47.7 – BE: 7

More cash to make for the improved Suns rookie. Hold while that Breakeven is so low.

Corey Wagner – Mid/Fwd – $223,300 – AVG: 52.9 – BE: 14

Not much more cash to make despite his low breakeven but his low price doesn’t make him worth trading out.

Jordan Clark – Def – $320,400 – AVG: 61.5 – BE: 55

The talented Cat is set to rise again in price after another solid performance.

Callum Wilkie – Def – $365,500 – AVG: 70.2 – BE: 65

Could be traded out now if an upgrade is needed, but is likely to hover around this price mark and could be a handy emergency.

Zak Butters – Mid/Fwd – $317,400 – AVG: 63.5 – BE: 52

All the three of the young guns from Port are worth holding onto as they aren’t set to drop in value and are handy bench coverage, especially considering they are all DPP’s. Of the three, he would be the first choice to be traded out.

Xavier Duursma – Def/Mid – $349,300 – AVG: 71.7 – BE: 59

As above – second choice to be traded out.

Connor Rozee – Def/Fwd – $318,700 – AVG: 73.4 – BE: 72

As above – third choice to be traded out.

Nick Larkey – Fwd – $272,300 – AVG: 58.4 – BE: 39

Bit of an “eh” choice here. Trade. Or don’t. Would depend on your available options. The extra trade should be more beneficial than what value he could bring in.

Trade:

Sydney Stack – Mid – $425,200 – AVG: 82.4 – BE: 101

A solid emergency cover for coaches lucky enough to allow that price tag to sit on the bench, otherwise upgrade away to a premium of choice.

Bailey Smith – Mid – $374,900 – AVG: 74.6 – BE: 74

Continues to put together a great season but considering his price he could be a great stepping stone to a fallen premium.

Sam Walsh – Mid – $437,600 – AVG: 88.9 – BE: 98

Like Bailey Smith, can be used to upgrade to a premium cheaply, but if you can afford to hold onto him, do so. Could come in handy and save you from a future zero.

Isaac Quaynor – Def – $196,700 – AVG: 63.0 – BE: 11

Injury makes it hard to hold onto him, despite his price tag not being great. Could upgrade to Birchall who could be a decent D7 emergency cover.

Good luck coaches!

  1. what about “The Team” ?…a couple of hours and I will be unable to cast a vote – which is fine as the Coaches here are brilliant…still nice to put in my 2 cents worth

    1. If you have the trades and are missing any of the top tier FWDs, then go ahead and trade him. Otherwise, he should be back next week- assuming Hinkley’s done trying to play mental ju-jitsu.

      1. I’m missing Boak with 7 trades left. I wanted to upgrade Walsh this week though to get to full premo. So I can either do that and cop Chol’s score for a round. Or take one more round of Walsh and straight swap Lycett to Boak.

      2. Port Adelaide: .. his last couple of games have been a little off for a full game performance. There comes a time when you need to reward the guys below – Ken Hinkley on Scott Lycett
