Trade or Hold – Round 22

Written by Hot Sauce on August 16 2019

Trade or Hold is a little bit different this week as Rookies are not to be starting in anyone’s team, unless you have no trades left – and in that case this irrelevant anyways. This week will be focussed on Premium options only and whether they should remain in your side or be traded out due to injury/form.

Jeremy Cameron – Injured.

Dyson Heppell – can’t be in your side while playing with his injury.

James Harmes – upgrade if you don’t have one of the must-haves.

Dylan Shiel – capable of a good score but so many better options available.

Jack Redden – upgrade if you can for someone in form and with the potential for a big score.

Jack Steele – was in good form before a poor game last week. A reminder to upgrade.

Good luck, Coaches!

  1. Great stuff, Hot Sauce.

With his omission for a third week in a row, Lycett now must surely be a ‘trade’, if he wasn’t already.

  2. Could be risky to captain Macrae or Dunkley v Clarke this week, or Grundy against ROB and Sauce.
Also is upgrading Steele that necessary? One bad week after being in good form. With 2 trades left, should I get rid of him for someone like Duncan?
T/U Trade to Duncan (or other suggestions. Already have Treloar, Macrae, Crouch, Cripps, Fyfe, Sloane, Neale)
T/D Save trades for an emergency next week

    1. I have him. Will put the E on him at M9. If he spuds it and it looks like I’ll lose my cash League, I’ll probably trade DClarke to Treloar, leaving me with no trades next week, but cover on MID and FWD lines.
If I look like winning anyway, I’ll take the hit in total pts this week and use the trade next week, to hopefully win a GF (or two).

Think it depends very much on your specific circumstances.

      1. I should add that Steele scored 140+ against CAR this time last year. Let’s hope he does so again?! 😉

  3. Setterfield M8 & Burgess F7 to go. I have 4 trades & 34k left.
Am I crazy or is Oliver Florent a good emergency loophole tonight?! He scored 102 last week & is only 283k. Has anyone watched Sydney games? They’re giving their youngsters a red hot go aren’t they?
This move will leave me 361k to bring in a Breust type @ M8 on Sunday should Oliver falter tonight.

Or should I just go safe option and bring in John Noble M9 which will give me 542k for either a MCrouch/Worpel/Greene?

    Big risk Big reward. TU
    You’re crazy. Go safe. TD
