Trade Talk – R10

Written by Motts on May 22 2016

No doubt the team will be bolstered by some returns off your bench this week so who’s getting sent on a permanent holiday and who’s getting measured up for a new guernsey?

  1. I’m planning on bringing rance in but wondering what people think on whether it is worth it considering he has the Rd 13 bye so would only get 2-3 scores for him

    1. I think he’ll still have a relatively high BE. He can wait till after the bye if need be……

      9

        1. Yeah I was looking at him wanted to wait until after his bye just wondering how much his breakeven was as I don’t have SC gold and whether you think we can wait those extra weeks as he will bottom out soon

    2. Better off waiting until r14….

Also, pretty much all the best defenders bar shaw have the r13 bye. It’s setting yourself up for trouble.

I’m avoiding bringing simpson for the same reason.

I might be stuck with AMT and Brown until then.

  2. I need to beef my midfield up. Pendles looks like the one I’m getting this week, Gray just after the bye if he is suspended. Many Rookies other than Hooper to downgrade to?

    1. Bailey Williams perhaps? With DBJ’s BE out to 105 Williams might be a good fit. Just a question of JS.

  3. Down to 18 trades, would like to get Parker, Buddy, next best defender after Shaw, Simpson, Bartell. Would love a good defensive rookie to do too.

    1. I plan on trading him out in a few weeks after all starting rooks are gone – will be my first luxury trade though

    2. I’m tossing that up as well. Very tempted to chop him for Goldy but then finding the cash for both Goldy and Hopper is hard.

It also means that I have to get rid of Adams or maybe Brown, and lose my forward/mid link, at least temporarily.

Brown has more cash on current form, but isn’t a player I want to trust on the park.

Or I need to chop Hewett early for Matheison and give up on Hopper.

I’m no longer considering getting rid of Stef Martin as a “luxury” trade.

      1. I’ll also consider B Williams for DBJ, that solves the dpp link issue, and frees up a bit of warchest money to upgrade Robbo next week.

The cull of Brisbane lions players must be completed. (Well, except for Zorko – who i think is playing for his next contract elsewhere).

  4. Debating whether to get Hopper in this week. Need to beef up the bank balance in preparation for the bye rounds. However who do I trade out. The cows that are fattening are Hewett, Smith & Davis but not much beefing up if its one of those three due to Hopper’s price. Possibility of trading Wells if not named. Will almost certainly bring in Mathieson after next round probably for one of the above three cows.
Like everybody else I am hoping that Ablett, Hall & Wells are named though.

  5. Thumbs up- Out: DeGoey, In: Priddis. 15 trades left and midfield Dangerfield, Hannebery, Pendlebury, Ablett, Parker, Shiel, Priddis and J Smith.
Thumbs down- Out: Byrne-Jones, DeGoey, In: K Simpson, Mathieson. 14 trades left and defence Shaw, Boyd, Simpson, Bartel, Rich and Byrne. Also will leave 159,800 remaining in salary.
Both trades will involve losing the fwd/mid dpp.

    7

    6
      1. Adam. You have some midfield / defence there. Good work getting to that stage. Agree with TDA on going easy on the trades. I would suggest only getting Priddis this week & then keeping off the trade button until Rnd 14.

        6

      2. Bit simplistic saying ’15 trades left’ = big trouble. Entirely depends on how close to full premo your side is. I don’t think of it as ‘how many left?’. I think of it as ‘how many more trades to make my team full premo, and how many left after that?’ And the ‘how many left after that’ needs to be 4 for finals plus a reasonable number for LTIs between now and end of season. That ‘reasonable’ number will reduce over time, e.g right now I think that ‘reasonable’ number is 5 or 6, by round 18 you might say 2 or 3 will get you through from there. So for mine, the formula is: if (current trades – trades reqd for full premo – 4 – trades estimated for remaining LTI’s) = less than zero, then ‘big trouble’.

        3

        2
      3. Adam is in the top 1% of teams though mate, he is ranked roughly 170 out of the 200,000 odd supercoachers, and he is working his way towards full premos, and will still have enough trades for injury cover.

        10

        0
        1. Amen. Nothing wrong with a bolt if you manage to get it right and before everyone else does.

I’d rather win 50k than take the piss out of the boys over a digital cup any day

          2

          0
  6. What are people’s thoughts on trading out Hewitt or Smith even though they have more coin to make? Reason being its the only way I can get Priddis in who is also going up in value.

Other option would be to ditch Priddis and pay an extra 80-100k (and wait a week or 2) for Hannerbry or Ward who also fit my bye structure.

    2

    5
    1. If you can hang onto Hewett until the byes, trading out Smith makes more sense, as he doesn’t help you get through the first bye.

Hewett you then trade out in Round 14, when everyone will be shortest of players.

      0

      0
    1. Not for his price. Great player, but I’d just about have to upgrade to him from my current MID rookies haha.

      0

      0
    2. One consideration with Hopper, is that some rookies you start trading in now, will end up being in your final team (due to running out of trades).

So Hopper could potentially act as M9, which is a better option than a Hewett, Gresham, Davis, Dunkley, Menadue type.

      10

  7. I’ve still got JJ on the bench. He should be right to go after the bye rounds.
Should I trade him or hold him? Don’t wanna burn a trade on a premo DEF if he’s gonna come back as a premo anyway!

    My team:
Shaw, Doc, Simpson, Boyd, Laird, DBJ (JJ, Lee)
Danger, Hanners, Parker, Gaz, Libba, BenKen, Hewitt, Petracca (Smith, Davis, Dunkley)
    Goldy, Gawn, (Grimley)
Dahl, Dusty, ZMerret, Kerridge, Wells, MBrown (Adams, Milera)

    4

    0
    1. Crouch only in 5% of teams now I reckon play the long game with him, assuming he comes back in this week, you know what he can do.

      1

      2
  8. I’m done with Wines. Pumping out 70s and 90s is just not acceptable. For those that say I got him for a reason and to hold, well that reason has changed. I might just hold him till the byes at most.

Also need some cash, so will be looking to downgrade Mills, Kennedy which I hadn’t been able to do in earlier rounds due to the heavy injury list. Will all depend on who is back next week.

    11

    3
    1. I got him and feel your pain, but hold him and have faith, the kid’s had a couple of ordinary rounds but will eventually bounce back

      4

      3
    2. Have the same problem. He has such poor DE, its hard to see where the improvement will come from. He had 24 touches on the weekend, so didn’t have a terrible game, which is worrying.

If you’re going to trade him, it has to be this week. He could lose another 40-50k by the byes.

Its costs 6K to upgrade him to Priddis at the moment. In 4 weeks that could be 100-120K.

        1. Priddis scored 196 this time last year against gold coast after two straight hundreds and a poor start. Stars are aligned!

  9. Hey guys, 17 trades left

    T/U – DBJ -> B Williams & C Oliver -> Gray/Priddis
    T/D – Libba -> Hopper & C Oliver – Ward/Coniglio/other premo under 610k

    Cheers

  10. Menadue and Papley out, Dusty and BWilliams in. Not worried about Williams’ JS, just want the DPP link.
    Leaves me with 19 trades.

  11. Is getting in Goldstein for Gawn a waste of a trade?

T/U – Get Goldstein in while you can
T-D – Don’t rage trade Gawn, he has just had a couple of bad weeks

    5

    45
    1. Gawn said on Marngrook that he’s playing a bit sore. Worth monitoring, yes, but trading now after a flat spell is crazy. Hold.

  12. Hoping for 1 trade this week. DBJ to williams. Bank the $$ and start building a war chest for premo upgrades during the bye rounds!

  13. 275k to play with

Had enough of Martin gonna trade him to Goldy, with Trent West doing a good job against Goldy i can’t see him going out of the side

my other trade i can do a few different things

Wells- Boyd ( Play Petracca F6), Brown F7
    DBj – Pittard ( Brown D7)

    DBJ – B.Willaims
Brown – Boyd ( Next week)

    0

    5
    1. Gone with Martin – Goldy
      Wells to Boyd

Leaves my team as Tippa as D6
      Oliver & Smith M7,M8
      Kerridge Petracca F5,F6

      4

      1
    1. the best option is to trade, but having knocked out 90 and 100 in the past if you were to ride him till the buys he might just reward you with another 50K.

If it wasn’t for the DPP i’d have Mitch Brown as a trade before him.

    1. See Williams named first, then leap.

Hopper you have to be looking at as a mid 8/9, or to help thru the byes.

He needs very strong scoring to be a cash cow, at least a 75 average, and a cooking time of about 8 weeks.

      2

  14. At this stage its looking like DBJ down to Williams, and M. Brown to Wingard. Leaves me with 16 trades and $424k in the bank, with plans to bring in Robbie Gray and possibly Lids/Dahl next round.
Wingard is close to $150k down from his starting price, and at worst he’ll be a decent F7.
Williams’ job security isn’t a worry for me, as it will open the DEF/MID dpp link when I bring in McVeigh later on in the season.

    TU: Good trades!
TD: Back to the drawing board

    1. Dude, very like thinking here. Almost scary…

Have been asking myself if I’m mad with Wingard currently sitting in my fwd line with Gray to follow next week. At the very worst Wingard would be my F6/7 for the season. But, it’s Still a trade spent and an unnecessary one. Purely opportunistic. Are we crazy?

      2

      0
      1. I’ve actually scrapped the Wingard idea already haha. I’m bringing JJK in instead. This is the cheapest he’ll be for a long time with a BE of 26, and he should go nuts against Gold Coast this week.
This will leave me with $298k leftover, which lets me get rid of BenKen and Kerridge next week for Gray and Dahl without having to downgrade.

        0

        0
      2. Bizarre. I was just looking at Wingard at 381K and considering trading out Byrne-Jones for Wingard (via M.Brown) at 60K.
Any Port fans got any feedback on Wingard – why the poor scores? Playing forward with lack of supply or was he playing injured?
        Other trade B.Crouch to Priddis

        TU: B.Crouch & DBJ to Priddis & Wingard (F6 / F7) – love it..
TD: Forget it, Wingard not playing in the guts & Port ordinary..

  15. Is Titch worth holding note have 15 in sydney bye week
    T/U Yes, he is god.
T/D No time for pendleboy to come in

    2

    11
    1. He was used as a tagger this week, which doesn’t bode well. He’s a gun, but there just isn’t space for him to do his thing in Sydney’s midfield. In saying that, I’d only trade him if you don’t have any other issues this week and can afford the luxury trade.

      0

      0
    1. Even if he doesn’t play many games from here on out, I’m bringing him in regardless. I plan to have McVeigh as my D6 come season’s end, and Williams’ DPP will come in handy.

  16. Thumbs up- Out: DeGoey, In: Priddis
Thumbs down-Out: Byrne Jones, Brown, In: Simpson, S Collins.
Comment: Out: DeGoey, Byrne-Jones In: D Martin, S Collins.

    3

    2
    1. Adam- I expect Sam Collins to get a game soon with Pearce going down for the season, but I’d wait until we’ve seen 2 matches from the big fella

      3

      1. Hoping same. Will either be him or Tucker I use to free up some cash from Brown for my last premo upgrades.

        1

  17. Is it too risky to downgrade dbj to Williams? Already have brand on the bench. I’m not sure Williams will play many more with Boyd suckling to come in

    4

    0
    1. I could downgrade Oliver to Williams instead and swing dbj to forwards and upgrade to zorko. Thoughts?

      1

      0
  18. Thoughts on Ablett to Pendles ?

T/U : Yep, Pendles is the every dependable.
T/D : Nay, Gazza will come good.

    4

    23
  19. Double-down this week, with DJB and BenKen making way for Bailey Williams and Jacob Hopper. Stocks the bank up to $460k, with 14 trades left and 4 upgrades to do.

Shaw, Docherty, Laird, Gibson, Byrne, Tippa (Hartley, Williams)
Danger, Hanners, Parker, Ablett, Cripps, Gray, Libba, Hopper (Smith, McPhers, Dunkley)
    Gawn, NicNat (Loersch)
Zorko, Merrett, Hall, Barlow, Wells, Kerridge (Petracca, Cox)

Positioned nicely to grab Matthieson and Rance next week, Dahlhaus and Simpson the following, then let Hopper appreciate until his bye and grab any mid I want with an accompanying downgrade.

Have approached this season with the policy of holding injured players as much as possible, and despite being without Laird, Gray, Cripps, Barlow, Wells, Ablett and Hall at various stages, I’ve only dropped below 2000pts once, with four scores over 2200.

Wanting to hit “Full Premo” status as early as possible, and with the 8 remaining trades after the planned ones, I’ll have coverage for late season injuries, or the ability to upgrade to some handy bench coverage (eg. grab Dusty late, push Merrett/Wells/Hall to the bench to cover forwards and mids).

Best laid plans and all that, I’m sure the SC Gods will conspire against my planning – but I’ve stuck with the strategy this year and it seems to be panning out OK.

    4

    3
  20. Considering either no trades this week keeping my trades at 19.

    Or DBJ – Williams
M.Brown – Pittard (only got 524k to spend

    9

    1
  21. I’ll probably end up with Priddis this week, but seriously looking at Tippett with his R/F swing. Might not be under 500K again for a while.

    12

    0
    1. I wanted to do this last week, but opted to build bank instead. I think Tippo is a very, very good option! Might not be a top 6 forward, but can you really see Goldstein/NicNat/Gawn playing EVERY game this year?

      4

      0
      1. now you got me thinking. i would also really like a solid r/f to be able to swing in the case of these guys getting a rest, especially goldy and nic nat, possibly a few rounds before finals in which case is supercoach finals. hmmm. do you bring in the top as in tippett to play on field. or save a few 100k and go for a hampson/sinclair or a lil higher in a hickey/stanley to purely be bench cover for the forward line and swing into ruck only when the rest possibility or small injury occurs. what to do

        0

        0
    1. Blicavs still averaging 101, way better than stef and under 500k.

I would try and get goldy though.

      1

      0
  22. Those with Oliver, keep in mind Roos has flagged another potential rest for him for R10. 6 day break, corky to the thigh, and trip to Alice = couch time for Clarry.

    6

  23. thinking of bringing in hopper this week for either mitchell or libba
    T/U mitchell
    T/D Libba
    comment for zaha

    2

    3
    1. Silly… The aim of the game is to get your team to full premo, so why trade out a almost-premo for a rookie? You’ll just have to trade Hopper out eventually anyway, so that’s a waste of a trade.

      4

      0
  24. 18 trades left. I’m fairly sure I’m going with DBJ to Williams for my first trade.

TU: no further trades this week and bank the cash (460k)
TD: Menadue to Zorko (76k left in the kitty)

    1

    13
      1. I’d prefer this method, provided you have a FWD/RUC as your R3. Only because Zorko has burned me in the past, so he’s on my never-again list.

        1

        0
  25. Iโ€™ve scrapped the Wingard idea. Iโ€™m bringing JJK in instead. This is the cheapest heโ€™ll be for a long time with a BE of 26, and he should go nuts against Gold Coast this week.
This will leave me with $298k leftover, which lets me get rid of BenKen and Kerridge next week for Gray and Dahl without having to downgrade. Only one on-field rookie after those trades.

    TU: Good plan
    TD: Nope

    13

    1
  26. DBJ – Zorko (via various DPP’s)
    Martin – Goldy
Biting the bullet and finally getting Goldy into my team with Martin seemingly struggling with Trent Wests influence

    Good Trades (UP)
    Think again (DOWN)

  27. Team is currently:
Def: Shaw, Boyd, Bartel, Rich, Byrne-Jones, Byrne, Brown, Lee.
Mids: Dangerfield, Hannebery, Pendlebury, Parker, Ablett, Shiel, Lyons, Smith, Hewett, McPherson, Davis.
    Rucks: Goldstein, Naitunai, Wyatt.
Fwds: Zorko, Montagna, Barlow, Hall, Kerridge, DeGoey, Kennedy, Petracca.
Ranked 175. 16 trades left and 105,200 remaining salary.
    Several options I am contemplating:
    1. DeGoey to Priddis due to Priddis’s low breakeven and easy run of games.
    2. Byrne-Jones and Brown out and K Simpson and D Tucker/S Collins in. Will leave me with around 66,300 remaining in salary.
    3. DeGoey to Tippett for ruck cover if Goldy/Nic Nat injured/rested and while his breakeven is low.
    4. DeGoey and Brown out for K Simpson and R Mathieson and 149,200 remaining in salary
    5. DeGoey and Byrne-Jones out for D Martin and D Tucker/S Collins and 159,400 remaining in salary.
Thumbs up- Option 1: DeGoey to Priddis
Thumbs down- Option 2: Byrne-Jones and Brown out and K Simpson and D Tucker/S Collins in. Will leave me with around 66,300 remaining in salary.
Comment- Option 3, Option 4 or Option 5.
    Feedback and options are appreciated.

  28. Contemplating DBJ > Williams only
Leaves me with 17 trades and $288.6K
This plan is dependent on a few names coming back from injuries…

    5

  29. T/U
    DBJ – Williams
    Brown – Pittard
This will shore up my defence with 5 premos, or

    T/D
    DBJ – Williams
Martin – Goldy (to sit alongside Gawn)
I know that Goldy is a luxury trade but with west in the side I think Stef might suffer.

  30. Hey SCT coaches,

After a slightly average week last round, Catta’s Clan is swinging the axe & thinking of these trades.

Trade 1…. Papley out, swing M Brown forward opening up def/fwd dpp link again & B Williams in defence (if picked).

Trade 2….B Kennedy (be 54) out Priddis(be 66) in or Stef Martin out (be 142) Goldstein (be 66 in)

T/U….Get Priddis in v GC at home
T/D….Get Goldie in v Swans away

    Cheers SCT coaches

    1. Martin isn’t doing good but I’d hold him till the bye at least and make him your last upgrade need to get the rookies out before him

      0

    1. Wait till you’ve got no more playing rookies on field before trading out wines, only way is up from here

      6

  31. Thumbs up- Priddis this week, Gray next week and midfield will be fully premium Hannebery, Dangerfield, Pendlebury, Ablett, Parker, Shiel, Priddis, Gray.
Thumbs down- K Simpson this week for Byrne-Jones then Priddis or Gray next week.

    10

    0
    1. Simpson is at pretty much peak price right now, so you’d be overpaying for him. Wait til after his bye or after he has a few spud games to pick him up. Priddis and Gray are stupid cheap right now, definitely prioritise them.

      3

      0
        1. Depends on the rest of your team structure, but if you can cover him when he misses the odd game, then I would say he’s a good choice. The DPP definitely helps.

          0
  32. I would like to get Priddis and Hopper this week but can’t get both due to my dpp links.
    (I’ve only got 1 mid/fwd link)

But who should be traded? (1- first out-5 hold on)

    1- M.Brown Def
    2- D.Menzel
    3- M.Hartley
    4- M.Adams
    5- B.Kennedy

    My plan is
    Menzel-Priddis/Hopper
    Brown- Williams

    Or

    Menzel- Hopper
    Brown- Rance/Boyd

    Thumbs up first option
    Thumbs down 2nd option

  33. Harley – Trade Hartley before Brown. Brown might drop in value a bit this week, but he’ll make it up and more next week when the 29 drops out of his price cycle.

    2

    0
  34. Changed my trades, keeping Wells for now

    DBJ to B.Williams
    Maritn to Goldy

leaves me with 360k banked for Oliver – Gray, Brown – Bartel next week leaving Tippa as D6, J.Smith as M8, Kerridge as F6

    0
      1. Both good trades I’d prefer to get Priddis (even tho Pendles is in better form) you’d be buying Pendles at the top of his price cycle & Priddis at the bottom of his price cycle

        0

        0
        1. That the way i’m swinging now. Pendles in purple patch is great points, but pay top dollar. But can get a premo for 100k off his starting price who looks to be coming into form

          0

          0
  35. Hey guys… I was thinking of moving Blics into the midfield to trade out Stef for Goldy. Though how do I do this as I don’t have another ruck mid? So can you pls comment guys.
    All help appreciated

  36. Thoughts on Robbie Gray? He’s obviously had a rest after carrying an injury. Didn’t see his game last week but is he 100%?

Lots of very tempting trades available this week but leaning towards DBJ to Gray via dpp. Leaves me bugger all in the bank (40k) and 18 trades.

Or am I better off bringing in Hopper to bans some money before the bye rounds?

    Team as follows:
DEF: gibson, docherty, shaw, gibson, AMT, Laird, Adams (hartley DBJ)
MIDS: Parker, Sheil, Ablett, Zaha, Libba, Priddis, Wells, Smith (Keays, Hewett, Davis)
    R: Goldy, Gawn (Grimley)
FWDS: MArtin, Montagna, Barlow, Hall, Kerridge, Petracca (Menadue, Brown)

T/U Gray in for DBJ via dpp
T/D Hopper in for DBJ via DPP and bank the cash for next week.
    Comment for other options…

  1. 17 trades left …I think I might bring in lynch and take tappy out, and the second trade take out
either mckernan/ luke thompson (adelaide) out for jacobs (port adelaide).

  2. Lester (never got rid of him ’cause i had more pressing needs elsewhere) >> Jacobs

Will save Tapscott trade for one more week and probably nab Tendai.

  3. Would like Ablett at his current ‘low’ cost if he keeps up the current 122 average. Very confident he can maintain his current form and if healthy comes up against the Lions, Crows, Demons and Hawks in the finals.

A no brainer if looking for an upgrade for Higgins.

However if both I Smith and T Lynch are selected for this weekend’s matches I’m not missing that boat. Tapscott and Higgins will both make way.

  4. Thinking this week higgins > t.lynch and l.thompson > jacobs
Next week swallow/harris > priddis and krakouer > pavlich
    Thoughts?

  5. Lower and Doi-gan survive yet again!!

D.Stanley will therefore make way for Jacobs, and the gut sickening Ward to become S.Thompson. Very juicy at $471k.

  10. Okay I posted this in a previous thread but I’ll chuck it up here too being the trade talk and all.

Looking at Toy > Jacobs this week.
And then looking at upgrading Swallow to either S. Thompson or Hodge.
However Missy Higgins is becoming a problem so was also looking at him for Franklin/Ablett/Boyd.
However I don’t want to waste a trade on a player that can be considered premium if he played 22 games and had been getting tons during most of his games played this year. What is everyones thoughts on him?

    So thumbs up Swallow > S. Thompson/Hodge
    Thumbs down Higgins > Franklin/Ablett/Boyd

(keep in mind im looking at bringing in all or most of the above players at some point anyway)

  15. Just wondering what everyone’s take on Scotland is. I know every team and his dogs team has Gibbs and Scotland is significantly more, but hes been scoring better and been more consistent. Do people think this will continue?

Its looking more and more like Broughton won’t be worth starting on the field when team is finalised, so now seems like a good time to swap him for someone. I don’t care about overall anymore. Backs will be:

Adcock, Fisher, Deledio, Shaw, Scotland/Gibbs, Goddard (soon), +1 more.

    yay, poll time:
    T-Up: Scotland
    T-Dwn: Gibbs

    Cheers.

  16. Refer to Motts Movers R9 – The Backs for a little write up on Scotland. Beware Gibbs & Scotland’s round 23 bye if your going for your league. That’s the SC preliminary final if you make it that far. Personally I’m hanging on to Broughton in the hope he can avg bout 100 come finals time. But if u really wanna get rid of him then consider Chris Newman, tho still has two byes to come, nick lower who’s still great value and plays in the guts, or Matt Suckling who’s emerged as one of hawthon’s key play maker down back with his precise kicking skills.

But if it had to one of Gibbs Or Scotland, then prob scotland as Gibbs is still mainly being used to negate his opponents (when will you just free him up in the middle, ratts?)

  17. I’m bringing in Ablett and Montagna over the next two weeks but can only do one at a time

Which one should I do first for $$ purposes and scoring potential?

  18. Hi, I was wondering if you guys could give me some advice on how to improve me team?

B- Gibbs, Deledio, Adcock, Goddard, L. Thompson, Lower, Stanley
    (Tape, Otten, Heppell)

C- Swan, Priddus, Cotchin, A.Swallow, Harris, D. Swallow
    (Hibberd, Watson, I.Smith)

    R- Cox, Petrie
    (Sandilands, McCulloch)

F- Franklin, Harvey, J.Riewoldt, Yarran, Krakouer, Rioli, Matera
    (Tapscott, C.Richardson, J.Tippett)

I have $312,200 in the bank.
Thoughts/suggestions? I was thinking about upgrading Tapscott to a premium and either downgrading L.Thompson to Jacobs or to another decent premium.

  20. Don’t think ablett is that much of a bargain. If he maintains a 120 average, his price will stablise at around 540k.
His price will peak for the next 3 weeks or so because of the 196, but long term his price won’t be that high.

  21. Need to fix up my ruck dept now that I’ve lost Jamar and Sandi. Have Petri and Smith as cover, but would prefer Cox since the Pies don’t have a half decent ruck. But having said that, I thought Mumford would’ve slaughtered the hawks no-designated-ruck team last week, and he didn’t.

Also have to get rid of Tapscott. Lynch seems to get the nod from most people so could be a goer.

  24. I have a huge dillema this week. i have no def/mid DPP in my mids, and I would love to bring in jacobs to offer more flexibilaty as well as some good coin for an upgrade. my midfield bench currently consists of ills, bewick and harris, but i can really only trade outt harris to make some coin. I also have libba as an option. another option is that i scrap the idea of DPP and trade jacobs in for mckernan. id apreciate come thoughts, thanks lots!

  27. Cheers angusegg…. I like dawes as a POD, hes the main pies focus up fwd, and they kick a few goals from time to time.
If anything I’d bring in a chappy/pav/Goddard or a premium mid in place of libba……Or would u sit tight for a few weeks? Last week I doubletraded to get fisher, which relegated lower to the bench….. Unreal.
Sometimes trading only shoots yourself in the foot.

  30. What does everyone think about bringing in Ablett?
I’m starting to get worried about his consistency. Will he be in the top 6 mids by end of season? Also are there better options because some others don’t have question marks like Garry.

    Thumbs up- Bring him in
    Thumbs down- Better options

    Help would be great.

And one thing, Thanks everyone for helping me with my team this year this has really helped me, Mott’s, Duck and BS thanks heaps. Keep it up!

5 trades left and full premium team.

    Delidio, Goddard, Shaw, Gibbs, Broughton,Enright,Heppel,

  36. Proposed R10 Trades:
    D. Stanley > B. Jacobs
    A. Krakouer > P. Chapman/M. Pavlich/L. Hodge

Loving that Chappy has the Suns this week and will go absolutely bananas up in Queensland, however with Selwood occupying the mids and S. Johnson in the forwards my cat quota seems full, especially considering the finals bye. Pavlich is the alternative who looks safer as I have no dockers in the forwards/mids, but have Sandi, Duffield & Lower and is $44.2K more. My goal is to get a high overall rank, going for top 500.

Since writing this up, I’ve discovered Hodge’s outstanding record against the Dogs, averaging 139.6 since 2005! But seems to be struggling to put tons on the board. Is this the game where he hits back!?

    Cannot afford Ablett.

Opinions on those 3 guys? (Chapman, Pavlich, Hodge)

If Swan is going to continue to play with both thigh and shoulder injuries, for who knows how long, would it be totally crazy to trade him out? For an Ablett/Pendlebury perhaps? Don’t think I’d do it myself as I never trade premiums unless they have an LTI, just putting it out there for some discussion, as it will hurt if he continues to scrape out 80-100 scores for the next month.

  43. Still unsure about who to bring in, Jacobs from Port or Lynch from the Suns. Both show promise but I don’t really want to get both so what do people think. Jacobs has still got two byes whilst Lynch doesn’t but he is might not have as strong JS, I’m not sure.

This would be an interesting topic to vote over. Lynch, Jacobs or both. hmmm
