  1. Had Newman -> Lloyd pinned but think it’s not worth the trade now.

Maybe J.Selwood will get rubbed out for 2 weeks and I can downgrade him and open up the loop, then use the cash up upgrade Greenwood in a few weeks and have Lloyd as M9 cover.

Otherwise, no trades for the first week!

    10
  2. I’ve still got Otten, so he’ll almost be a straight swap for Lloyd.

The other trade will be to raise cash – Brown (or similar) in for one of Parsons, Barrett or Stewart

    3

  3. In will be Neale and Mountford
Out not sure yet. It will be out of Swallow SPP or Taranto.
Leaning towards SPP and & Taranto but the latters DPP is enticing.
    Already have Ryan & Lloyd.

  4. Berry to J Lloyd is locked in to finish the backline but unsure which Geelong rookie to cull this week out of T Stewart and J Parsons.

TU: T Stewart to L Ryan and Parsons to E Yeo in RD15.
TD: J Parsons to C Brown and Stewart to T Adams in RD 15.

J Parsons to C Brown allows T Stewart to be upgraded to T Adams in RD15 thus moving Burgoyne to the bench and allowing Burgoyne and one of Shaw/Simpson to be loopholed from RD16 onwards whereas selecting Yeo in Rd15 means I might have to forego T Adams if funds do not permit in the remainder of the season.

  5. Powell Pepper – Beech
Barret – any premo mid (Not sure who to go with. leaning to dusty, pendles, zorko or neale)

    This will complete my team

    11

    1
  6. Finish upgrading my team this week!

    Stewart -> Ryan
    Powell-Pepper -> Yeo (via Greenwood)

It’s not the strongest full premium (I’m counting Nankervis and Newman as Premiums now) but hey it’s nice to no longer need to field rookies.

    17

    1
  7. Feels a bit sideways but I’m thinking JJ > Lloyd and keeping Newman over JJ.
Will turn Stewart into Ryan if named for cash generation.

    16

  8. Was’nt it nice to get ALL your premos back in the best 22. Now comes the hard part. Who to trade? Probably 2 off with 12 trades to go but have Fyfe, Steele (doubt he’ll get back in this week after a win), Priddis ( not performing as a premo on price or points) and Dahlhaus ( low for several weeks) and Nank not holding up early season form.

  9. Ok guys, I’m in a bit of a pickle at the moment.

I’m a bit stuck for trade options at the moment, as I only have one on-field rookie left, which is Parsons. Usually it’d be a simple one up, one down trade, however, my most expensive rookie remaining is Stewart, who when downgraded to the cheapest possible player in McNiece, only yields me 450k to work with, which is not enough to get a Forward keeper.

So my question is this: do I do a double downgrade this week in hopes for a double upgrade next week, or do I do no trades and hope some of my cheaper rookies gain some cash.

    Thanks!

    1. Do you have Ryan (FRE) in your team? If not then consider Stewart to Ryan and possibly one of your MID bench rookies to Mountford (if named) this week.
Then you can do your FWD upgrade the following week.

An alternative is to just do one of the above trades this week and then 1 down/1 up next week (using either Beech or Brown as a downgrade target).

      3

      0
  10. Newman to Adams, this completes my backline.
Leaves me 11 trades and one off full premo.
Final move will be Hannan to Gawn (hopefully he’s back soon) then move Nank to F6.

    T/u

  11. have 616K, looking at bring in the Bont but is he a full premo this year? have danger, pendles, jpk, fyfe, treloar, and murphy
    T/U trade him in
T/D better options with that cash
    thanks!

    6

    37
      1. I was tempted last week by The Bont’s price but didn’t like his recent record so decided on Cotchin as a POD. He knocked out 105, has a low SD and is still less than $540K.

  12. It feels so good to put the real team out on the paddock. Catch you later byesโœŠ. Going T Stewart – Ryan and Parsons to Heeney and I’m done .

    11

    0
  13. Got a few rookies I can play with. Trade 1 being Ryan in
    Trade 2 need some help:
TU Laird (what I think is better balance to the team via Dpp’s)
TD Yeo (lower BE probably more of a chance to go big)

    21

    3
    1. One or two weeks. Yesterday he said he was hoping for any chance to play this week, but they’ve ruled him out.
If you’ve got good backup, don’t trade him out.

      1

      0
  14. Unless he miraculously manages to get up this week, Scott Selwood will have to go, most likely to one of Dustin Martin, Dayne Zorko, or Tom Mitchell.

    5

    7
  15. The golden rule, no sideways trades but Mr Norm Smith Johannisen is stinking it up, down to $386K with breakeven 148.

Getting tagged, contract $$ worries and dogs aren’t travelling well.

Thumbs up – Replace with Lloyd or Docherty (haven’t got him yet)

Thumbs down – Hold, JJ will come good.

    37

    11
  16. T/U: Robertson to complete backs and forget about Doc
T/D: Greene (or maybe Wallis) to complete forwards and hold out hope for Doc

    4

    27
  17. Out: T Stewart, J Barrett
    In: L Ryan, L Neale

Will then have 8 trades left with Hibberd at D6, Fyfe at M8, Sandi/Witts as rucks & Nank at F6.

Now just need Sandi & JJK to return this week from injury and smash the 2nd half of the season!
Oh, and no more injuries please!

    9

    1
  18. I only have 8 trades left and I am going to do Newman to Lloyd.

With Schaz Stewart Cousins Greenwood Parsons (and Steele if he doesnt make it back to the team will be a problem) and so I am unsure as to whether Fisher > Ryan is worth it or I should go a 102k dpp player I can loophole with. I dont think I have enough trades to pocket the money Ryan will make.

    TU: Fisher > Ryan
    TD: Fisher > Bayok

    13

    0
    1. With only 8 trades left, would you consider keeping Newman for a bit longer? He tonned up on the weekend and his BE is only 59.

      22

      0
  19. first questions who to trade for luke ryan:

    T/U Tom Stewart
    T/D Jake Barrett.
If selwood gets suspended whoever I keep will have to be on field.

    12

    10
    1. Dunno why the support for keeping Barrett. Higher BE and Stewart has been pumping out decent scores as well as a much easier game this week.

      4

      0
      1. Yeah I am surprised it is so one sided, probably because barrett pumped out a 90+ last week. But he is more likely to post a sub 50 score due to his position than stewart is IMO.

        2

        0
  20. 2nd questions
Im one player short of full premium/mid pricer 22.
Currently have Greenwood on field in forward line and Nank as R2.
    thinking of upgrading barrett/stewart to
    T/U Macrae this week
T/D Gawn in 2 or 3 weeks time which opens up the R/F swing again

everyone says Macrae is a must have in forward line but with trades low Im thinking the R/F swing will be more valuable in long run

    3

    7
  21. I can possibly go full premo if I get really lucky in selection. It would require Steele getting named and neither of Selwood/Buddy getting selected.

TU: Fisher and Stewart > Ryan and Daniher (chance at full)
TD: Newman and Fisher > Lloyd and Ryan

    2

    6
  22. Stewart and Barrett just became Ryan and Neale, and that completes my team.

DEF: Doc, Laird, Adams, Lloyd, Howe, Shaw (Ryan, McNiece)
MID: Danger, Sloane, Selwood, Neale, Bont, Treloar, Beams, JPK (Bolton, Fisher, Cousins)
    RUC: Martin, Sandi (Strnadica)
FWD: Yeo, Macrae, Dahlhaus, Nankervis, Heeney, Steele (Greenwood, Parsons)

6 trades left for injuries and maybe a bench upgrade or two if I get a run of luck.

    3

    0
  23. I want to bring in Ryan and Jake Lloyd this week. Ryan comes in for Stewart. currently running with Newman as D6.

Do I trade out JJ, Barrett or SPP for Lloyd? One of Lloyd or Adams will have to move to mid if I keep JJ. I still have SPP and Barrett on the field each week as it stands. I brought S Selwood in last week only for him to get injured. What do I do?

TU: Keep JJ (trade barrett or SPP) and use Lloyd/Adams as a mid

TD: Trade JJ to Lloyd. He can’t handle the tag which he will undoubtably get from here on in.

    8

    3
  24. For full premo backline…

    T/U – Newman to Lloyd
    T/D – Heater to Lloyd

Other option is to upgrade Stewart to Lloyd, but that’s a lot of cash sitting on the pine…

    8

    7
    1. Probably not a bad thing to have one of those guys on the bench each week. Loophole Shaw and Newman each week where game times allow. And if you get a 2-4 week injury to one of your defenders you can hold the trade without losing too many points.

      11

      0
  25. T/U Jonathon Beech
    T/D Callum Brown

    * job security โ˜๏ธis most important in answer not cash generation

    1

    11
    1. Unfortunately the job securities of both look shaky at best with several best 22 players for each club due back soon.
If I had to guess maybe Brown as Collingwood may not be playing finals later in the season and so he may get more of a run in the side.
However best to wait until they’re both on the bubble before making your move if possible.

      8

      0
      1. Great insights HH. Agree with all your comments. Brown looks like the one but wait another week & also has DPP can be handy in future if need be

        4

        0
  26. To complete my mids;

    T/U: Neale
    T/D: Merret

comment; wait for sloane to come down after 2 bad games

    14

    11
  27. Either of these trades leaves me with only 1 rookie (Greenwood) left on the field,
Stewart still has a little bit of money left to make and is scoring decently but not trading him out leaves me 8k short of Neale
    T/U
    Berry – J Lloyd
    S Selwood – E Yeo
    T/D
    T Stewart-J Lloyd
    S Selwood-L Neale

    11

    5
  28. TU: Barrett -> Ryan & S.Selwood -> dusty/T.Mitchell
    TD: hold onto the trades

Currently 1233 overall with 9 trades left.

    10

    1
  29. Thoughts on
    Berry -> Ryan
    Then
    Stewart to laird/Roberton
    My backline would then be
Shaw, Adams, hibberd, rance, Newman an one of laird/Roberton ( perryman,Ryan)

    2

  30. Just Stewart- Lloyd this week will go Barret down Greenwood/Fisher up in the next week weeks for compete team

    1

    1
  31. I am very pleased to be able to Trade out Matera who replaced another spud Florent to Jake Lloyd for only 58k via Dpp.
Then i will move Lloyd to the backline moving Berry to Mid Bench.

I thought i can carry Matera thru the Byes and , i certainly did with his score not counting in the last 2 Bye weeks after putting up his highest score since entering my Team in the 1st Bye week. Wait for it!

That was a huge 78 which was scaled up by 7pts after a late goal in the Suns win over West Coast.

Now i blame Chillo not myself for that Trade. Chillo did a great job selling him in Flavour of the Week or just maybe i should have read the negatives in his write up about trading in Matera.

    1. Haha TDA, in that case do as I do, not as I say! Actually, don’t do that either. Safest just to ignore me altogether.

For what it’s worth, I think you’re making a good trade this week.

      2

      0
    1. Watching this one. Thats a tough decision i will likely have to make soon. Im trying to hold both (using scooter to bring in Doc) for the moment to see if Shaw picks up his form or if Newman drops his.

      2

      0
  32. Stewart –> Ryan
    Scooter –> Clayton Oliver

Leaves me with 10 trades to upgrade 2 more rookies to prem for a full team.

    T/U – GO FOR IT
    T/D – NO WAY

    11

    1
  33. One thing I have decided for next year is that my first 4 players picked are going to be:

    Docherty, Laird, Roberton and Kelly(GC).

Three premo defenders who do not get any cheaper, and a midfielder in his prime in the side with all the talent.

They never really get suspended, get tagfed, fail to score, and are all too young to face serious ongoing injuries.

    6

    0
    1. Docherty and Dangerfield were the first picked this year and will be next year for me. Highly reliable to score well, and guaranteed top 6/8 def and mid respectively

      6

      0
  34. Hannan to Heeney leaving me with,
    Yeo / Macrae / Dahlhaus / Franklin / Kennedy / Heeney…

At full premo apart from Newman, who’s doing ok at D6 for the moment…

    8

    0
  35. TU
    Scooter –> Lloyd
    Stewart –> Doc

    TD
    Scooter –> Neale
    Stewart –> Lloyd

Comment if you think i should keep Scooter or Stewart

    11

    0
    1. Selwood is only going to be out for one or two weeks.
If you have backup on your bench, use them. Not worth wasting a trade on him at the moment.
If you have either SPP or Taranto still, might be good to trade them out instead.

      1

  36. HELP

    NEED LAST PREMO MID
I have JPK, DANGER, DUSTY, BONT, EBERT, PENDLES and HEPPELL.

Who should I get ( I can afford anyone) and don’t care about BE

    0

    0
    1. Zorko (BE 87), Neale (100), T.Mitchell (137) – Personal preference, can’t really go wrong with any. I would lean towards Neale due to being $50k cheaper and despite money not being an issue now, all you need is a premium to go down on 2 points one week and they will drop $40-50k and you will wish you had some in the bank to spend on them otherwise you’ll be swapping with someone the next tier down.

  37. top of the evening lads..
only have 8 trades remaining but 1 gun defender to bring in.. very limited cap space.. only way I can see is

    Barrett Out – Mountford In
    Scharenberg Out – Lloyd In

or am I better to wait for now..

    T/U Yes do those trades
    T/D No hold for now

    cheers lads..

    6

    9
  38. Currently have Newman at D7 and two on-field mid rookies to upgrade. Thoughts on
    Powell-Pepper>Ryan via Taylor Adams(Newman to D6)
    Barrett>Neale(Leaving Scott Selwood M9)
    TU: Sounds a plan
    TD: Reconsider

    16

    0
  39. Very close to a full premo side but not much cash spare this week.

TU: upgrade fisher to Daniher this week and have a full premo side
TD: Downgrade Fisher now and Upgrade Parsons to JJK next week (Take Greenwood’s score this week)

    0

    14
    1. You could review it post Greenwood playing on Thursday night? Have a score in mind and if he hits it don’t do the trade. In saying that I’d 100% do the JJK trade haha

      1

      0
  40. 12 trades left – 1st trade this week will be SPP out for L Ryan in for cash generation. Still need one premium DEF and 2 Premium FWDS.

    2nd trade I need help with –

TU : OUT – Myers IN – either Wallis or Greene via DPP
TD: OUT – Ainsworth IN – Heeney

Can’t quite afford Myers to Heeney unfortunately.

    0

    14
  41. If Steele isn’t back in this week, (and maybe even if he is) will be looking at trading him out to a premium mid to complete my team – except for getting in Gawn in a week or two by moving Nankervis back to the FWD line.

    TU : Trade in D Martin $621,200 AV 116.92 OR Zorko $610,600 AV 114.50
TD: Trade in Neale $563,900 AV 114.58 coz that saving of $50k will help with the Gawn purchase

    1

    15
  42. Evening all.
Only a forward and mid to complete premo side.
Thinking of scooter and barret out this week, both getting high in the BE range and still capable of the average scores.
I see alot are keen on Neale, being a Freo fan i love the kid, but he’s been playing with a injured knee.

TU – he’s a gun and will run the season out.
TD – If freo continue to fall he might miss late rounds to get the knee sorted for next year.

For a forward pretty keen on Billings

    6

    3
  43. Who to trade with the other to stay as D7
    TU – Stewart
    TD – marchbank
They’re making way to bring loyde back into

    3

    7
  44. Hi All,
Just remember we’re dealing with FURL , if you’ve already done the L.Ryan trade then it would be wise to reverse it, the last thing you want is for him to be named on an extended bench and then miss out on Fridays final teams, particularly with Thursday night games. There’s no reversing after Thursday’s bounce. Were lucky that Stewart is also playing in the Sunday game so I for one will be sitting tight till at least Friday night

    4

    0
    1. Problem there is that even if he never plays again, people need a downgrade option and there’s nobody else on the horizon. It’s either him or someone who hasn’t been named at all, and then hope that they get a call-up at some point towards the end of the season. Ryan is the lesser of two evils.

      1

      0
  45. I’ve kept SPP as M9 so I’ll take Scooter’s cash in a downgrade to Brown and upgrade Stewart to Lloyd.
Will leave me with $192K to target Gawn.

    3

    0
  46. Plans for this week is like most
    Out: Stewart, Barrett
    In: Ryan, JPK
I have 563,100 for a mid but I sort of want to bring in someone like Merrett or Neale as a POD but i am just short of both

    1

    0
  47. To everyone trading out Scooter – note that he is back running already, and is listed as a ‘test’ on this weeks injury list. Still a rough chance to play this week

    4

    1
  48. I know its not trade-talk but am itching for advice on this one, who to VC into Danger this week:

    T/U – Sloane
    T/D – Bontempelli

    6

    7
  49. Stewart to Ryan is a done deal
    TU- Scooter to Neale
TD- hold and hope to go Barrett (BE 57approx) to Neale (BE 100) next week

Reckon it’s a fair gamble but had planned on scooter being m9 for cover but fell $1,200 short on Barrett to Neale this week. Neale pulled 80 odd points against the cats at domain round one, could he find the going though again this time at the catery!!!

    0

    5
  50. Given Newman’s likely to make more cash next week I’m going Barrett to lloyd in the mids. Then next week I’ll trade Newman out, swing Lloyd into defence and bring in Sloane or Rocky.

    TU: good plan.
    TD: better options around

    12

    0
  51. Ottens out for Ryan is done and dusted.

Want to get Heeney in my forward line, just unsure of who to trade though.

T/U Trade out Steele, he’s not gonna average 85 on the run home.
T/D Get rid of Petracca. Sure he’s done well but he never seems to ton it up

    1

    5
  52. Big decisions this week, i’ve got flexibility with 14 trades coming into this week and 100k in the bank

My major decisions come from whether to complete my mid and get neale in or jump on llyod in the backline

Doch, Shaw, Tuohy, Adams, Newman, Stewart (Berry, Scharenberg)
Danger, Martin, JSelwood, Bont, Ablett, Fyfe, Pendles, Barrett (Bolton, Cousins, Brown)
    Kreuzer, Sandi (Strnadica)
Yeo, Macrae, Dahl, Lynch, Buddy, Heeney (Greenwood, Eddy)

Can easily downgrade berry or barrett to Luke Ryan but the next trade to a premium is tough

    Thought?
