Planning on doing one trade this week, but I have two options.
Option 1:Ellis to Carrots (complete defence)
Option 2 Giles to Leigh Adams (via Roughy)
Carrots is the safe option but who knows how the Carlton train wreck will end? The Adams trade has more upside I think, The Kangas are hitting some form, Adams spending a lot of time in the middle and getting forward to kick goals, the Kangas only play 2 in the next 8 games away from Etihad. Adams has produced all season at Etihad and I think he would be a good point of difference.
I think I am starting to convince myself but I am still a little unsure. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Cheers

A South American based WC will certainly be stacked heavily towards one of their own winning it. Would be great if Spain & others could take it to Argentina and Brazil though. A cracking WC would be great as Italia 90 & Korea / Japan 2002 only outstanding ones in the past 20 years.

I was going to upgrade Ellis to Carrots, but I got Milera to upgrade, and his breakeven is way higher than Ellis’s. But before all that, I probably will downgrade Giles to someone like Pattison, then upgrade Milera to Hale, then Hale would be insurance in the rucks. From this I would have 154 k remaining with 5 trades to go, to upgrade 2 more defensive positions.

There is footage of it Fish, but it’s from behind Wright, so you can see Goddard thrusting his arm into Wright’s head/throat/chest area. Wright then goes down, and is seen minutes later on the boundary trying to catch his breath.

Not sure that a mid-pricer is going to do enough for you to catch up but if you’ve decided to go that way have a look at Hibberd. Gives you an extra $28k (might help) and if you take out his injury affected game and his first game back he has averaged 94.
Still think you’d be better off downgrading Edwards or Treloar so you can get a genuine gun.

Ellis seems to have pretty good JS. Clarke would probably average more, but may be in and out + more money in the bank if you trade him & he would be expensive if just used for bench cover.
So trade Clarke to Carrots & keep Ellis if he will only be used as bench cover.

Toying with the idea to get Carrazzo and Hurley in, like a bird of prey…
Sorry but I have to get this out there. I wish I went with my gut feelings preseason. Had Sidebottom & Hurley in, took them out because I doubted myself. Chose Cox over NicNat, couldn’t decide between Pendles and Swan but would’ve been fine had he not broken his leg (must have helped Swans recent scores a teeny bit but not a lot), not going Clarke over Guthrie, writing Deledio off for his non appearance within the preseason, not considering Watson who could easily be in the top 3 for the Browlow if not leading the count.. Bleughhhh #FMSCT
That said of these who I *have* got in I’m really pleased with, just sucks I had to use a trade or two in doing so to get the blokes I should have backed from the start. Going to try and think outside the square next year and back myself instead of baa-ing like a sheep.

clarkes going to be losing money fast soon, the dpp with mid to def is tempting but horsely is more likely to increase in price.
Also look at it like this.. moving horsley would put you with zorko on the bench and carrazzo and clarke on the field. whereas moving clarke leaves you with zorko and carrazzo starting with horsley on the bench… zorko>>>clarke

I had planned my last 2 trades (leaving me with 4 trades for finals) to be Redden –> Campbell and Ellis –> Carrazzo, but I fell a measly $200 short
So now I need to find a cheap downgrade option for either Magner or Pfeiffer. So are there any cheap downgrade options in the mid/fwd that have good JS??

I need to get Swan but funds very low (as are trades). My plan is thus:
N Riewoldt -> Cheap Ass Mid/Fwd player (probably Tom Couch)
Zorko moves from the Mids to replace N Riewoldt to become a starting Forward.
J Mac -> Swan + $100K in loose change.
N Riewoldt in hindsight was a bad trade, he looks injured and when the Saint’s give up the finals dream he will be put out to surgery/pasture.

I got the H2H for the 9 games @ $9.50 ish with a tenner on it. I missed out on my mega line bet with the Pies only winning by 29 instead of 40. I got the rest but either way the Pies cost me about 3 grand because they took the foot off the pedal. Bastards!!
