Trade Talk – R4

Written by Schwarzwalder on April 17 2016

Priddis a late out, Stefan Martin got steam-rolled, Johannisen out for a reported four months with a torn hamstring, Robbie Gray under MRP scrutiny……..what a shocking round!

No doubt those fingers are getting itchy to trade. What are your first thoughts for trading this week?

    1. Watching Ruggles yesterday, he’s not best 22. May struggle to string enough games together to make it worthwhile. Byrne or Byrne-Jones (Port) ahead of him…..

  1. Then for SC classic team:

    Johannisen – Laird
Then a non-playing Rookie, or one with a worrying BE (when they come out) – Byrne/Byrne-Jones (not sure which one to choose)

    T/U – Good trades
    T/D – Bad trades

  2. I’ve got JJ to move…

Other defenders incl Houli, Laird, Adams, Weitering, Lonergan so it’s not too bad..

Thumbs Up-Trade down to a Byrne/Byrne-Jones/Monty Burns and upgrade a Barlow for Zorko…or even an average mid for when Priddis drops..
Thumbs Down- Replace JJ with a like-for-like, Pittard or Shaw (after another week of price dropping)

      1. Cheers guys. It’s working now, I know Catta, I always come here first. I mainly like it because I can start planning my team early next year

    1. All performing well at the moment. Not sure there is a right or wrong answer here. Pick the one you think will score the most points from THIS point onwards

    2. Zorko can go huge, but can go missing too, much like Houli.
Dahl will be consistent, but if the dogs start to struggle, so will his scores.
Zerrett is the cheapest of the three, and the shining star of the Dons midfield, he’d be my pick.

  3. TU: Merrett
    TD: Shaw

Can’t decide who to bring in this week. My defence is probably my weakest line but should I get Merrett in before his price increases further?

    11

    2
    1. Looking at BreakEvens, Merrett is set to rise while Shaw will continue to fall in price. I’d get on Zerrett first. Shaw will be around $500k soon enough.
Did I mention Breakevens will be up at lunch today……love cross-promotion ๐Ÿ˜‰

  4. Horrible round, really tempted to burn some so-called premos, but at this stage it will be Papley and Hewett out, the two Byrnes in.

  5. Early thinking is Milera to Byrne Jones (via AMT) & then Wingard to Montagna. The second trade I’m not entirely sold on yet, but at this point Port look rubbish and I cant see Wingard scoring well in a team that is struggling.

    TU: solid moves.
TD: to early to move Wingard on.

    Cheers

    1. Also I’m thinking I might trade lonergan this week. He’s averaging worse than my rookies. I was hoping he would average 90ish but I watched him closely on the weekend and he’s not looking like it. Just can’t decide whether to upgrade or bring in both Byrnes to upgrade elsewhere later

      5

      0
      1. Tu trade in docherty/Byrnes jones for lonergan Milera

Td trade in both buuuurns and 400k for upgrading elsewhere

        1

        5
  6. With Wells looking like a top 10 Fwd worthy of a spot on field, I may cut my loses with Barlow and pass him on. There are so many other FWD premos that will eclipse him this season (Montagna, Martin, Zorko, Dahlhaus, Z.Merrett, Franklin, Delideo – when returns) that you’re just missing out on to much. He’s currently being out scored by AMT and Adams which is just not what you paid for.

    Penciled in.
    Barlow – Z.Merret/Buddy
    Papley – DBJ
    363-399k for later.

    1. I’m of a similar mind, currently pondering
Barlow > Ward via Hall DPP
      Lonergan > Booourn -Jones
Would leave $392.8K in the slush fund
      T/U – makes sense
      T/D – nonsense

      11

      1
    2. Yeah, count me in for this too. The only time I saw Barlow do anything of note on the weekend was when Fyfe kicked it to him in the goal square. Papley to DBJ lets me go Barlow to Fyfe via Bennedy.

      2

      1
  7. i have laird and houli already and need to get rid off JJ.
I have already set my sights on upgrading papley to callan ward via DPP, this leaves me with $538k to trade JJ to another prem back which is $10k short H.Shaw. I have 26 trades left after the Papley>ward trade so whats the best option for JJ.
TU: trade JJ this week to a birchall/KK type
TD: keep JJ for another week and hope Shaw comes down in price?

  8. Very slightly off topic but can any Demons supporters help me with where Petracca is with regard playing his first game? Thanks.

    1. In the best with 30-odd touches and a goal on the weekend. Roos is unlikely to make many changes to a winning side, and both Vince and Garlett will come back in, so doubt Petracca will get a run this weekend. Not far away though – maybe one more week in the VFL.

      1

      1. With 60 touches, 3goals, 16 marks & 9 inside 50’s in 2 weeks…..he’s seriously not far away gents!

Sorry Chips, Garlett will carry Petracca’s bags into the ground for him as he’s got him covered in a heart beat IMO

  10. More thinking. Papley and S Gray to Byrne-Jones and Zac Merrett. (TU)

Merrett the real deal? Looking good so far.

Thoughts anyone? Trading out McKenzie for the other Byrne better? (TD)

    1. brought in Merrett two weeks back and i was a little nervous about him but seems to be be performing and hopefully he won’t take a backwards step

    2. I have been hesitate on him and was waiting for a “tough” opponent and was going to decide after this week against Geelong. Safe to say after his 123 I am very interested.

  11. Any chance Grimley plays this week? Stef will have a week off after that hit. JJ to go, not sure who to, might be double backline trade, I’m done with Sheridan.

    0

    1
  12. Due to Papley’s high breakeven he will be traded out this week for either C Byrne or J Lyons. This leave me with 25 trades left. Bringing in C Byrne leaves 134,400 in the salary cap whereas J Lyons leaves 16,400 in the salary. Lyons is heavily discounted by the sub vest as his non sub average was in the high 70’s. If I bring in Byrne the remaining salary will be used to upgrade Mills/DeGoey to a Priddis or R Gray in the next fortnight due to their high breakevens.
Thumbs up- Out: Papley In: C Byrne
Thumbs down- Out: Papley In: J Lyons

  13. I traded out Jason Johan for Alex Rance. I then traded out Tom Crapley for Nakia Cockatoutou. Good or bad Trades???

    0

    12
  14. Have brought in Byrne-Jones for O.McDonald sitting there, I have Hewitt and Gresham but I think I’ll hold considering I can’t bring in C. Bryne for them via DPP. I have Papley though who I could trade out for Byrne because of his higher B/E.

    T/U – Do it
    T/D – Hold

  15. burning another 2 trades after a horror week
    went:
    papley to byrne-jones
    oliver to z.merret

    advice on those trades??

have 25 trades left and still 125k hoping to not make anymore trades for another 2 weeks and hopefully by the petracca has come in and is performing ๐Ÿ˜‰

    Def:
Houli, Laird, Weitering, Smith, Dea, Byrne-Jones (Hartley, Brown)

    Mid:
Danger, Ablett, Parker, Fyfe, Priddis, Libba, Mills, Davis (Menadue, Hewett, Dunkley)

    Rucks: Goldy, Martin (Grimley)

    Fwd:
Hall, Z.Merret, Wingard, Adams, Wells, Kerridge (AMT, Mccarthy)

    1

    2
    1. If I have one small criticism, it’s the decision to cut Oliver before some of your other rookies (especially with cash in hand). Try and move on Menadue or Hewett before Oliver?

      2

      0
  16. Who needs to go first for Byrne-Jones via dpp?

    T/U Papley – B/e – 62

    T/D Milera – B/e – 61

Basically same breakeven, so who is more of a chance to get their breakeven or higher this week?

    4

    1
    1. I would be surprised if both of them happen to get a gig this week – that should hopefully sort out your trade query.

  17. My plans look like it will be
Johanisen out for DBJ & then thinking of going SGray to Byrne will give 800K for 4 upgrades over the next 2 weeks

    1. If you can afford to be down a keeper or two this week, then it’s probably the right move in the long run……

  18. what are your thoughts on Pendlebury to
    T/U Zaharakis
    T/D dont trade a premium

Dont see Pendles as a top 8 midfielder

    0

    21
    1. Upgrade elswhere. If you wanna upgrade pendles
      A. Your mad
      B. If you really want to it should be the very last trade you do.

  19. Double downgrade for me this week

Brown & Papley to the two Byrnes leaving me with 207k for double upgarde next week. Lonegan and Sherriden to Shaw and someone else

    0

    0
  20. Thinking a week of wait & see.

Gray didn’t get rubbed out and my team did post 2375 two weeks ago with one donut on the field

Only potential trades are upgrades at D5 & D6 or M8

Have Eric McKenzie, Matt Dea & Darcy Parish at those positions

95K in the bank & Tipingwuti on the bench for potential downgrade to free up an extra 90-100K

Thoughts, wait & see or suggestions on who to bring in at any of those positions?

    1

    0
    1. Have to hold AMT, he’ll rise a lot in value over the next few weeks. If anyone then MacKenzie to Byrne-Jones to free up more cash for future upgrades?

  21. Hi coaches

Would appreciate your thoughts on who I should bring in this week. Current Team:

Def – Houli, Adams, Gibson, Weitering, AMT, Sheridan EMG – Johannisen, Hammelmann

Mid – Gazza, Jelwood, Wells, Libba, Wines, Pridda, M Crouch, Mills EMG – Menadue, Davis, Petracca

Rucks – Goldy, Gawn EMG – Big Cox

Fwd – Zorko, Hall, Kerridge, Kennedy, Barlow, de Goey EMG – Milera, Brown

Presuming there are no other injuries, Milera & Johannisen are the obvious ones that need to be traded out ASAP. Which means I have to run with Barlow, Sheridan, de Goey etc for now.

Question is who to bring in with $3K in the bank currently? I can bring in anyone with my DPP links except Rucks.

DBJ seems the popular choice for JJ and will boost the bank by $340K but am mindful it will weaken my DEF which has been performing incredibly so far (5 Def averaging 89+)……don’t ask me how I’m only coming 15K+

Should I consider someone like a Fantasia or Zerrett? I wasn’t going to go near any Bomber mid-pricers or so called premos, but the numbers are forcing me to now look a bit closer.

Other options are a Ziebell type, or another rookie/mid-pricer so I can upgrade to Danger or Hanners type in a week or two with the extra cash.

    Any other thoughts muchly appreciated.

  22. TU:
    J.Johannison to Laird
    Papley to Byrne Jones
    (Tipungwuti to FWD DPP link)
    90k remaining

    TD:
    J.Johannison to Byrne Jones
    Paply to Z.Merett
    (No DPP link)
    75k remaining

    1. Dpp link and sending another player into the forward line to replace papley leaving the open spot for the defence

      1

      0
      1. Hit the Trade button on Papley, then use one of the DEF/FWD to substitute ‘S’ into the forward line (Adams, Mitch Brown, AMT) and bring DBJ into the backline

        1

        0
  23. JJ out for DBJ is a definite
Am tossing up on the other option. Menzel could be a very good POD if his legs hold out this year. Apart from his wayward kicking on the weekend I see him as a 85+ average
    And very cheap

Thumbs up – Papley to Menzel and save some cash

thumbs down – stick with a solid in Zorko or similar

    2

    8
    1. Menzel’s a real interesting one. As you say saves some cash for when it coming time to culling some cows in a week or two and bringing in some premos. Obviously the safer option is a Zorko or similar as you say but….decisions, decisions.

I’d actually be able to loophole Menzel this week as well presuming Petracca does not play and leave him on the bench if he goes 0.5 again.

The Cats do have some tough games coming up in rounds 7 & 8 though.

I think this week is going to be crucial for coaches in terms of setting up their Team structure going forward for those that are going to be making trades.

  24. Still undecided whether to bring in one of the Byrnes boys, but in the meantime, what’s everyone’s thoughts on a Papley to Merrett trade?? Can just do it too!!

If I pull the trigger, then it only leaves me with $3.2k in the bank!

T/U Sounds aiight! Only 1 trade… happy times!
T/D Nah, just blow 2 trades instead and bring in a player under $600k like R. Gray, Parker, Zorko, etc. plus one of the Byrnes boys!

    8

    2
  25. So far I’m thinking:

Papley & McDonald for Byrne and Byrne-Jones.

However selection will dictate who stays and who doesn’t given Rocky is apparently no certainty and a couple of Essendon blokes are on fire for about the same cash.

    2

    0
    1. Fair to say they’re all Top10 FWDs. I’d probably say Montagna but can’t really go wrong with any of them

      1

      0
  26. Considering getting rid of G Hewitt as he isn’t playing or making money and I have R Davis and J Greesham on the mid bench for J Lyons for cash generation and scoring purposes.
Hewitt to J Lyons to go with my other trade Papley to C Byrne will leave me with 56,300 and 24 trades left. This is currently my team including those trades.
    Def: H Shaw, J Bartel, D Rich, M Adams, M Dea, AMT, T Lee, C Byrne.
    Mid: N Fyfe, P Dangerfield, G Ablett, D Hannebery, D Shiel, B Kennedy, C Mills, S Kerridge, R Davis, C Menadue, J Gresham.
    Rucks: T Goldstein, N Naitunai, D Wyatt.
    Forwards: D Zorko, A Hall, M Barlow, D Wells, J DeGoey, J Lyons, L McCarthy, M Brown.

Thumbs up- Bring in J Lyons
Thumbs down- Hold Hewitt and keep trade

    3

    2
  27. Should I trade out Sam Gray with 60k in the bank or put some more faith in him?

    T/U: trade him

T/D: Keep him in the team

Any suggestions on who to pick up would be great!

  28. If stef Martin doesnt play should i trade him or cop a dougnut? Other trades im thinking about are Lonnergan to Byrne-jones and kennedy to Z Merrett

    1. Mason Cox looks like getting a run this week. I’m a bit worried about Martin’s form tailing off for the rest of the season, given how we’ve seen concussions impact Smith, Riewoldt and Bartel.

  29. Two choices to ponder at the moment.
TU: Barlow > Byrne-Jones (via Brown or Adams)
    Z Smith > Goldstein
    50k Bank

    TD: Lonergan > Byrne-Jones
Z Smith > Martin or Nic Nat
    80k Bank

  30. Papley to Darcy BJ

    2nd trade..

    Better to trade in
    TU: Zorko (Playing Kennedy)..
TD: Fyfe (Playing Menadue/McCarthy if he returns)

    Thanks

  31. Wanted to go Papsmear to DBJ via M.Brown and then turn Menadud into Zacharias but fell 600 short. Decided to go for Ruggles instead of DBJ and it leaves twenty odd grand in the bank, who ever I get will be benched anyway. T/U worth the risk T/D not a good idea.

    1. Righto thanks guys. I thought so too, and it is confirmed. Going to be papsmear to dbj and leave it at that until the teams are named. Thanks again.

  32. Hey guys, quick poll I’m undecided one as to which of these players represents better value

    TU: Callan Ward (at 570k)

  1. 1. Goodes to Oxley
    2. Griffin to ?
Missed out on the first price rise with Oxley, but with a BE of -95, there’s plenty to come.
Pondering whether Griffen can increase his output or use the 150k in the bank to upgrade to anyone.

  2. After corrective trades last week, I have enough cash to upgrade to a premium this week. After watching the games on the weekend, I reckon either McGrath and/or Lonie might be given a spell in the twos. Whoever gets dropped gets upgraded to the Bont…….assuming he gets named on Thursday.

    T/U good move

    T/D bad move

  3. Depending on injuries and team selections, I’ve got Leuy to move on for the Bont via Cox DPP (got Goldy in last week as the in field replacement, but didnt have the trades for straight swapping last week), and I’ll be Considering moving on Hurn (he was intended as a season keeper, but he’s just not performing) to Slone via moving Saad onto the back line. The upgrades should gove me a net score increase of about 120 I’m hoping (that’s how it looks on current form anyway)

  6. Ive had the worst start to a supercoach season in my career. Havent had much luck either The other teams in LOEC4 would be licking their lips when they come up Jackos Dreamtime.
Had the VC on Pendles but i thought Josh Kennedy would outscore him so i out the C on him and that didnt turn out well. I also have bartel which was a pain.
So with my trades this week i have a coule that i have put up on the table. Malceski ( might still keep him..) and Bartel ( pending injury)
Im thinking of doing a straight swap for bartel to Bont

    Good idea?

  8. Bloody hell what a week!

Decided to hold Gary last week to move goods and lambert onto vanburlo and Oxley with intentions of bringing In jpk this week but after this weeks performance I’m not sure about this move I already have Sloane and Fyfe so no idea on who to bring in

And even more pressing bloody James Bartel who do I bring in? I’ve narrowed it down between Swan and franklin who do you guys and gals like? Bont is on the shortlist but I would prefer a proven premo

  10. Can we start all over again?????

Have Wines and Bartel to deal with this week. Playing with the idea of benching one as a potential loophole (depending on prognosis for each) and trading one plus a cash cow to get two prems. Otherwise we just swap both, probably get Sloane or Jelwood, plus Swan or Bont.

  11. I managed to get through the week unscathed. Did have plans this week to swap lamb for mcgrath but now krakouer looks like he may establish himself in the port side do i need to trade lamb. Any idea if he might play again? I could just keep him as a loophole.

    THUMBS DOWN if bad idea.
(Please comment if you see any other options to assist, Cheers!)

Looking to switch Goodes for a 120k rookie for cash, and upgrade Wines to Selwood (or Pendles/JPK)….. leaning toward Selwood personally, but Pendles could work.

    This would leave me with a solid starting field of;

Shaw, Lamumba, Newnes, Saad, McIntosh, Oxley (Brown, Rookie TBA)

Sloane, Selwood (or Pendles), Beams, Dangerfield, Rich, CEY, Heeney (Miller, Cripps, Smith)

    Goldstein, Bellchambers (Cox)

Swan, Tex, Gray, Bennell, Bont, Hogan (Clarke, Mcgrath)

If you think anything else would benefit me more, let me know! Cheers in advance guys.

  15. Preparing for the worst, trading Wines.

Midfield premos are Fyfe, Neale, Priddis, Sloane.

  16. Bartel – Sloane (via Bonts DPP)
Goodes – Smith corrective trade bankrolled by offloading GAJ last week

Next week I’ll look to offload Newnes. He’s stinking it up so bad he’s currently at D7 for me, outperformed by three rookies. Cash cows are fattening up nicely, but I need players to stay on the park. Deledio, Bartel and Bonts have meants I’ve my worst start to a season since my first year of supercoach.

  18. Survived the carnage on the weekend except for the 60s from new recruits JPK and Van Berlo.

Concerned by BGoodes though as the sub role and the associated 20/30s will see his price drop to rookie levels soon so thinking of moving him on while he still has some value.

Alas, I already have Saad, McIntosh and Oxley so the potential pool is thin.

T/U – trade down to a non-playing rookie eg. HGoddard and loophole
T/D – keep Goodes and just grin and bear the price drop

  19. Looking at Jack Martin as a cheaper replacement for Bartel.
Only $349,400, after going up by $46,00 last round, he’s churned out two tons last two rounds and we know he’s a upcoming talent like the Bont

  21. Team is coasting without hitting big numbers 2087,2200 and 2084. I haven’t made any trades and don’t have much cash in reserve. I have all the must have rookies across each line and my thinking this week is to do the following:

Trade out TBC for Krakaour up front and then trade out KK for B.Smith down back. I currently have Bennell in the mids and I will bring him up front once the Rookies are ready to be upgraded. I currently have Slone, Fyfe, Pendles and Parker as my key mids.

I have Goodes down back but I’m leaning toward moving KK on as the role he is playing isn’t encouraging.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    TU: go with the above
    TD: something else.

  22. Bartel -> Roughead, Franklin or Bontempelli?

I can’t decide… On one hand Roughead and Franklin are proven premiums, on the other hand Bontempelli is red hot and going to make stacks of cash if he doesn’t miss any more games.

My only worry is that he’s going to taper off and I’m going to be kicking myself later in the season when Roughead and Franklin are putting out consistent 100s and Bonts is at risk of putting out a 50 any given week…

Also, is it me or does Franklin seem overpriced at the moment? Would it be better to go with Roughead and maybe pick Franklin up later on once he drops below $500k?

  23. Somehow survived the carnage.
Griffin and Newnes annoying me but I’ll probably hold another week as they both have poor opponents this week.

The Krak looking lockish for next week.

  24. Apart from Bartel, not to much to fix up. Still unsure if I want to pass on Goodes yet and see what happens but sitting in D8 being outscored by basement rookies feels like a waste. Tossing up between these trades.

    Option 1:
Bartel -> Bont (Already have Gray/Martin/Swan)
    + $421,700

    Option 2:
    Bartel -> Bont
    Goodes -> Smith
    $124,700

    Option 3:
Bartel -> Goldy (via Belly DPP)
    $259,300

  25. Which Premo do I go for?

Goodes –> H.Andrews (Lions) — Sick of Goodes ROTTING on the bench.

Wines –> Premium (Selwood, Pendles, Roughy, Buddy, JPK, SThommo, Neale, Mundy, Hodge) ??

  26. I held Gaz last week as I had 2 more pressing trades and I suppose i wanted to keep the prospects of a romantic comeback alive. My scores are still very strong with Gaz sitting on the pine. Out of 10 How crazy am I to continue to hold Gaz and work with other trades?

  30. Im still tossing up between the following;

    THUMBS UP
    Goodes –> Rookie
Wines –> Selwood (sensible injury-forced upgrade)
    OR
    THUMBS DOWN
    Wines –> Neale
Bennell –> Buddy/Roughy (Sideways trade, which could backfire bigtime)

** On a side note, is Grundy much of an upgrade on Bellchambers? He has put up a couple of good games lately

  31. Looking for assistance as to what to do with Bartel.

Assuming he is out for 4 weeks do I keep or trade.

My forwards currently are Bartel, Swan, Clarke, Hogan, Salem & Martin with Saad & Lamb on the bench. I have $450K in the bank

Thinking of trading Lamb for either Karkouer or Tarrant and keep Bartel who I believe will come good later in the season and be an excellent POD

I know Krakouer & Tarrant aren’t on the bubble but don’t trust Saad to play F6

Good idea or bad idea to keep Bartel & get either Karkouer or Tarrant. My preference is Tarrant due to JS. Peoples thoughts please.

  32. After an absolute shocking few weeks due to under performing & injured premo’s (atleast all my rookies are solid), thinking of a salem to bontempelli trade. Is it worth cashing out rookies with a negative b/e for a potential keeper this early or stand by and wait for them to reach max price.

  33. Bartel gotta go this week. My options are Bont, roughy, buddy. I still think bont is risky but his potential price rise is making me rise :/
My next problem is goods and Griffen. But I’m gonna hold both! Here’s why.
Griffen: is copping the heavy tag but as these other GWS kids dictate the play and rack up the posies I think griffos tag will drop off over time and he could be a good m7 or m8 after bye rounds.
Goods: has been sitting on my bench behind shaw, lumumba, saad, ox, newens, hibberd and Macintosh. Three of those are getting fatter in price quicker than the rate goods is losing and they are all scoring reasonably well enough to not warrant the need to burn a trade on someone else. I’ll hold him for a rainy day when a new rookie def pops up.
My second trade at this stage is Clem smith to Lewis!

DEF: Smith Lumumba Saad McIntosh Newnes Hibberd (Oxley Brown)
MID: Fyfe Pendlebury Beams Dangerfield Bontempelli Heeney VanBerlo (Vandenberg Newton Miller)
    RUC: Naitanui Bellchambers (Cox)
FWD: Swan Gray Martin Hogan Salem Deledio (Clark Krakouer)

  36. After doing some corrective trades last week I have a cool $515K in the bank so going to go:
Newton to Sloane – Juice simply not performing as well as expected and with a couple of close losses I need to get some points on the board.

  37. Looking at trading out Newnes (and possibly N.Brown as well) for perhaps:

D Roberton plus one of Oxley/Whitecross/J Kelly/H Andrews. Will have $620K to play with.

What are people’s thoughts on Roberton? I haven’t actually seen him play yet so any advice would be appreciated!

Or should I hold firm with Newnes for now?

  38. I’m getting rid of Bartel and KK this week and have $67,500 in the bank. I have Bonts in mids (who I can swing to feds) and my Def 6-8 are McIntosh, Oxley and Saad.

I am considering one of the following:

Swan and Hibberd, and no cash,

    or

    Sloane and Byrne/Andrews/Kelly/Whitecross and $200k.

    Thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

  39. Made 2 corrective trades last week, $536k in the bank.

Def: Shaw, Lumumba, Higgins, Saad, Hibberd, Gibson, Oxley, McIntosh
Mid: Fyfe, Pendles, Bont, Parker, CEY, Heeney, AVB, Cripps, Miller, Lambert, Freeman
    Ruc: Goldstein, Maric, Read
Fwd: Swan, Grey, Martin, Hogan, Salem, Clark, Lonie, Lamb

Thinking I’ll move Bont forward by trading out Lamb for a midfield premium, though I’m likely to win in my league this round regardless.

The one I’m less sure about is Parker. First 3 rounds and price drop is making me nervous. Considering trading him out and bringing in Neale. Worth it? Is there another hole in my team I’m overlooking? Don’t want to blow through my trades early but my rookies are looking good so I should be able to sit on them for a few weeks after making these trades.

    T/U – Parker -> Neale
    T/D – Not worth it

    TU Clarke to Goldy?

  44. Only injured player I’m carrying is Macmillan so the focus is trying to find value for money from trading guys that aren’t performing.
At the moment I’m looking at the following:
    Griffin > Bont
    KK > Houlti/McDonald
    Thoughts?

Could also get rid of TBC for Tarrant and upgrade Griffin to a proven premium.

  45. My move this week is likely to be Ablett> Brodie Smith via Saad leaving 310k for another upgrade. My only donuts were Ablett and Lamb and I seemed to avoid all the injuries and suspensions so I can trade for points this week.

    T/U: Ablett> Brodie Smith via Saad & N Brown> T Macdonald
    T/D: Ablett> Jobe Watson & Newnes>Brodie Smith

  46. Fellas, got $278k in the bank, H2H only.

D: Lumumba, Higgins, Newnes, Henderson, McIntosh, Saad (Oxley, Brown)
M: Lewis, Wines, Swallow, Priddis, Macrae, Rich, NVB, CEY (Heeney, Vandenburg, P Cripps)
    R: Goldstein, Nic Nat (Read)
F: Gray, Martin, Goddard, Bellchambers, Salem, Hogan (Clark, Lamb)

On the chopping block: R.Henderson (midpricer fail, so far).
    Injured Prem: Wines

T/U: Trade Henderson up to a Smith or sideways to Hooker, and Wines out for a Bont or Swan via DPP.
T/D: Just relax and get Sloane or Fyfe in for Wines, worry about the others next week when krak, tarrant and whitecross are ready.
    Comment: Something better.

    Thanks for your attention!

  47. I was lucky and didn’t get hit by the injury horrors. I have B Goodes, and Will Minson. Not enough cash to make Goodes into anyone I want to keep and not going to spend a trade without a good target. I’d rather lose more $, since how much I lose will be wroth less to me than a trade will cost.

But, Minson is scoring badly and probably will keep scoring badly. I have NicNat. I have enough cash to go

    Minson –> Goldstein

And since I will want to keep Goldy I am okay with spending a trade to get him, especially since Minson’s price will drop so far next week I would not be able to afford the move if I wait.

    Any thoughts?

(edit, my god, er gosh, spelling, damn, er dang. Fixed now…..)

  48. Currently 10,500ish…. Help me climb into top 5000 this week please! Is my team decent enough to make some noise?
Bolded players are who I feel need correcting, but I wanna make 2 trades to better my “onfield team”.
    Thinking of 3 options –
Wines and Goodes for Joelwood and defence rookie.
Wines and Newnes for Roberton and Joelwood.
Wines and Bennell for Neale and a premo fwd.

Shaw, Lamumba, NEWNES, Saad, McIntosh, Oxley (Brown, GOODES)

Sloane, Fyfe, WINES Beams, Dangerfield, Rich, CEY, Heeney (Miller, Cripps, Smith)

    Goldstein, Bellchambers (Cox)

Swan, Tex, Gray, BENNELL, Bont, Hogan (Clarke, Mcgrath)

  49. I havnt used a trade yet and i may not even use one this week either. I have all the main rookies on each line.
Team weaknesses include Newnes, Ibbotson, A Swallow and Floggard.
Not having Fyfe also is bugging me.

Do my weaknesses warrant a trade this week guys?

    McGrath โ€“> Krak
    Wines โ€“> Selwood
$3000 spare cashโ€ฆ. meant to be
    THUMBS UP right??

Jaden McGrath, Sam Mayes and Claye Beams have suffered injury setbacks and will spend time on the sidelines.

  56. Hi Guys
A bit confused where to go.
got 650k in bank from ablett and used 2 trades so far

D: Smith, Shaw, Newnes, Hibberd, McIntosh, Saad (Oxley, Brown)
M: Pendles, Fythe, Rich, Parker, Sheed, Miller, NVB, CEY (Heeney, Vandenburg, P Cripps)
    R: Goldstein, Maric (Read)
F: Gray, Martin, Swan, Clark, Salem, Hogan (Lonie, Lamb)
was going to go miller to slaon, but now with him performing last week not sure weather to wait or use someone else.

Is bont a must have, bit concerned by his injury, keeper staus ect.
could actually afford to cull early and go NVB – Sloan and Salem – Bont…
