  1. Fellas,

I’ve decided that Clark just won’t be as reliable as Salem and Hogan, or that upstart Tarrant, so Clark-Tarrant is trade number 1. This lets my other rookies top out their potential, and lets me sit pretty on $359,400.

Def: Lumumba, Higgins, Newnes (!!!), Henderson, Saad, McIntosh (Oxley, N.Brown)
Mid: Lewis, Priddis, Swallow, Macrae, Rich, Cripps, CEY, NVB (Vandenburg, Heeney, Krak)
    Ruc: Goldy, Nic Nat (Read)
Fwd: Swan, Gray, Martin, Goddard, Belch, Tarrant (Hogan, Salem)

My next trade is most likely an upgrade, but which one is more pressing?

T/U: Newnes OUT, Hooker IN (he really is looking the goods this season)
T/D: One trade’s enough for now, Newnes can still get his BE of 113, so upgrade NVB (BE 64) for Fyfe (BE 145) next week.
Comment: Any better ideas for a more pressing trade?

Thanks, always appreciate any feedback and will continue to stalk SCT faithfully!

  2. I’m planning Ahmed Saad to Tarrant. Aside from that, I plan to stay put. While I have some underperformers I don’t think any of them are worth making a trade to fix My cows need to get fatter, in order to make worthwhile upgrades. My rookies are playing pretty well and I mainly just need players like Selwood and Beams to start producing.

B Goodes can stay since he is not playing and sooner or later there will be a solid up or downgrade target. Hate using trade without a really clear reason

  3. Had two horror weeks.
    Planning: NVB out, Krak in
    McGrath out, Tarrant in

Neither make as much money as planned but will free up 200k so can upgrade a defender or mid rookie next round.
    Thumbs?

  4. Controversial, but currently trades as follows:-

    Heeney out for Krakour
Jed Anderson out for R. Tarrant (via putting R.Gray into mids for 2 weeks –

-Already had 296K in bank & brings balance to 425K ready for double up-grades in a couple of weeks.
-Sitting on 776 o/a & need to catch some of the lads on here that are well entrenched in top 100 – well done SCT! Only used the 2 trades so far (incl GAJ to D.Shiel) & want to ensure gravy train of great rookies / cash gen continues.

  5. Dropped from 12,000 to 45,000 with a disastrous week. Need changes;

    Tex spud Walker –> Tarrant
    Then
    Rich –> Pendles/JPK (Thumbs UP)
    Newnes –> Hooker/Gibson (Thumbs DOWN).

The mids trade will give me 6-premo mids, or the Newnes trade gets rid of my most hated player ATM…..

  6. World’s worst kept secret this week with everyone looking at Krakouer and Tarrant. If you have any under-performing forward or mid rookies, then I wouldn’t hesitate making those changes. With Breakevens of -142 and -100, there is plenty of upside to bringing them in. Their job security looks very strong at the minute, they will rise quickly in value and will free up some cash for a quick upgrade (or two) a week later. (Half hoping for an injury somewhere so I can justify bringing them in) ๐Ÿ˜‰

  7. Might have to make my first trades of the season. Can someone remind me how to trade, it’s been a while

Welcome to the side krak and Tarrant

  8. I was hoping this past weekend would end the awfullness that has been my season thus far, but instead somehow managed to pull out my worst score yet. Hats of to the Adelaide boys who really did a number on me!

Still can’t seem to pick a captain to save my life. You’d think Selwood, GAJ, JPK and Sloane rd1-4 captains would do me a reasonable service but the score line is ever diminishing (104×2, 87×2, 64×2 and now 60×2, all after loopholing VC that have gone sub-100!)

    Anyway, enough of the whinging!

Triggers have been pulled on Ahmed Saad and Jackson Nelson (net gain of 100k between the two of them, so not a great result, but not terrible) bringing in Taz and Krak.

  9. What to do with Newnes with 50k in the bank..

T/U: Keep him, he’s gunna take some magic beans and improve.
T/D: Sideways trade? Silly? Who should I look at to come in? Best defenders are pricey..and im not convinced enough to jump on Golby at 311k (91pts in first game yesterday)

  10. Despite only rising about 100k since the start of the season, I assume that Heeney to Krakouer is a pretty straightforward move this week?

With a 7 in his cycle for the next few weeks, his price is going to stall big time. Plus there is probably a chance he is rested this week?

  11. Newnes out for Hooker. May bring in Krak for Lambert, but need to think long-term about holding trades. Will keep an eye on Talia this week to see if he can ton up again.

  12. Double downgrade this week.

Heeney for Krak looks good but not sure who in the forward line to drop for Tarrant

    TU – Clark
    TD – Salem

  13. DEF
    H.Shaw, K.Simpson, T.Hunt, M.Hibberd, K.McIntosh, J.Newnes (A.Saad, A.Oxley)

    MID
    N.Fyfe, R.Sloane, S.Pendlebury, J.Kennedy, C.Ellis-Yolmen, A.Vandenberg, P.Cripps, N.van Berlo (I.Heeney, T.Miller, J.Anderson)

    RUC
    T.Goldstein, T.Bellchambers (T.Read)

    FWD
    D.Swan, D.Martin, M.Bontempelli, J.Hogan, R.Gray, C.Salem (M.Clark, T.Lamb)

    $128,100 in the bank.

    I’m thinking of going:
    J.Anderson > N.Krakouer
    T.Lamb > R.Tarrant
or do I have better options elsewhere?

  14. What’s a smarter upgrade;
    Rich to Pendles/JPK (thumbs up)
    Newnes to hooker/Gibson (thumbs down)

Rich is still producing, but Pendles is Pendles.
Newnes sucks, but hooker/Gibson aren’t elite yet, and Newnes could turn a corner……

  15. Hey guys,
Got cash in the bank but not too sure on the trades:
T/U -> Lambert -> Krakouer in the mids
    T/D -> Leuenberger -> Grundy/Blicavs/Goldy

If I go for krakouer and leuey doesn’t play, I cop a doughnut, but is the krakouer trade worth it?

  16. Leuenberger to:

T/U -> blicavs/grundy (with heaps of cash in the bank)
T/D -> Goldstein (with nothing in the bank)

    Cheers

    Anderson > Krak thumbs up
    Heeney > Krak thumbs down

    Thanks.

  20. Only 1 trade this week, (although I said no trades last week and I still did one after Grey was dropped and McGrath –> Krakour happened)
Heeney – > Tarrant via Krakour.
    Reasons:
    1) Opens up a M/F swing.
    2) Frees up more cash than if I were to trade Anderson. (I’m thiinking Anderson is my Impey of 2015, just keep him on the bench and maybe he’ll get a ton).
    3) Forward cash cows have still got some mooing to do.
Next round I need to upgrade a Mid. My starting lineup of 4 premo’s + Rich has got me so far, but who knows how much longer that will last..

  21. Im looking to at krakouer and tar rant and thinking that i can’t lose both and could probably cash out on one of my other rookies. My issue is that I’ve already made 3 trades. Can anyone give advice on whether its a bad play to use 1 or 2 more this week????

  22. I would love to turn Newnes into a player that, ya know, can actually play footy, but I’m prioritising the two bubble boys. Also, I’m sticking with Heeney. Still plenty of cash to be made for those who can be patient.

    (OUT) McGrath, Bellchambers
    (IN) Krakouer, Tarrant

I’ve been telling anyone who’ll listen for the last 4 weeks to maintain their structures and hold onto Bellchambers for ruck coverage, but that latest 61 over the weekend is symptomatic of his poor gameplay – I can’t see him turning it around and getting anywhere near that 80 average I was expecting from the big Bell-end, so he’s got to go. I’ll grab Ryder maybe next week to regain my starting structure because I have faith in the man to deliver the goods (and a couple of barnstorming, match winning scores) now that Lobbe is back in the team.

  26. Current Midfield: Fyfe, Ward, Selwood, Beams, Prestia, Gray, CEY, Vandenberg, NVB, Heeney and Payne
Current Forward: Martin, Bontempelli, Swan, Clark, Hogan, Salem, Ahmed Saad and McGrath

First trade is McGrath out for krakouer
Now for second trade I have two options to get Tarrant in

T/U Trade Ahmed Saad for Tarrant
T/D trade Billie Payne( my midfield loophole player) swing Krakouer to mids and bring in Tarrant

  27. As Schwarz mentioned earlier, barring injuries Krak and Tarrent will come into my side because of good job security & extremely low be. Ln will make way for Tarrant and then Krak possibly for NVB

I’m looking at going Wines> Heppell and not sure what to do for a 2nd trade my backline is a shambles so maybe get rid of LAMUMBA, or Newnes. What’s everyone’s thoughts?

  30. I took the risk in bringing Krak in last week in-case Newnes stunk again,
and here we are! He’s gone. Just annoyed I didn’t listen to that uneasy feeling in my gut that persisted all pre-season, ah well.

So, at this stage, trades will be.

    Heeney > Tarrant (via Krak)
    &
    Newnes to <$510 defender.

At this stage Smith and Gibson are the front runners.
Thumbs on this one would be much appreciated.

  31. Any other Minson holders out there?
Feel it may be time to let him go. Beveridge declared he’s no longer the Doggies no.1 ruck & having a $480K player not guaranteed a game each week doesn’t sit well. Cordy did well apparently & the Doggies did ok without him…..

Was thinking a downgrade to Tarrant via TBC from the fwd line & use the $$$ on upgrades or does anyone think Big Mince will come good & is worth holding for now? Hate trading guys I thought would be keepers!

  32. 26 trade and $152,400 in the bank

I think now is the time for me to trade Newnes and Minson but I’m thinking about getting Krakouer in. Also should I be trading Minson? He got dropped last week and I’m worried he may not get back into the team for some time

    Option 1
    Newnes > C.Ward/ Lewis
    Minson > B.Grundy?

    Option 2
    Newnes > Krakouer

    My team currently

    D- H.Taylor, M.Johnson, Lumumba, Geary, Saad, Oxley (McIntosh, N.Brown)

M- Fyfe, Pendlebury, Watson, Parker, Newnes, VandenBerg, CEY, Miller (NVB, Anderson, Heeney)

    R- Goldstein, Minson (Cox)

F- Gray, Dusty, Swan, Bennell, Salem, Hogan (Clark, Lambert)

  33. Currently 26 trades and $320,500 in the bank.

Thinking Lambert – Tarrant… Only real trade I’m thinking of at this stage to build up the warchest further, already got Krakouer in last week for Cockatoo. I’ll wait till teams come out with regards to Heeney’s condition, he’s got a very gettable BE and if he comes up alright down the track towards the coming weekend I’ll most likely hold him.

If I was advertising another trade, it would probably be Newnes (getting a tagging role isn’t a good sign from last weekend) next out the door since I have rookies covered pretty well across all lines. But who is a good option in defence for replacing Newnes, would love to hear your thoughts community.

    Cheers ๐Ÿ™‚

  34. Hey gents,

Will be bringing in krak this week but not 100% sure who for.

Tossing up between Heeney and vanberlo. Heeney obviously has a bit more cash to make but will be slowed by his 7 + possibly missing a week or two. Vanberlo’s BE is higher but still very makable and poor form could coincide with Adelaides avg form?

    T/U trade Heeney
    T/D trade Vanberlo

Btw currently in England ATM so haven’t seen any games this past weekend, any extra info would be appreciated!

  35. Hey All,

I’m thinking of trading Jed out and bringing in Krakouer, but not sure about my 2nd trade.

I have Newnes, but looking at sitting on him for a few more rounds (maybe the byes if I can put up with him if he still pulls scores of 60s!), but thinking my more pressing matter may be Minson as I’m concerned about his JS and form.

Would also like to bring in Tarrant!!

T/U Trade Minson out, move TBC to RUC and bring in Tarrant (but lose my ruck cover/Captain’s loophole option with T. Read)

T/D Trade Minson and bring in Goldy (or please leave a comment if you think there is a better ruck choice)

    Cheers All.

  36. I have one trade I really want to do, but have a feeling the team selections this week,(and probably every week after) will determine what I do!

Lamb > Krakouer. This enables me to get Gray back into fwd line once fit.

As I only have 6 playing defenders (if you can call them that), might trade
J Mac > Butler, leaving me cashless. Hamling d8.

    t/u do the 2nd trade
t/d only do it if forced to

  37. Is it worth downgrading tex or rich to Tarrant to upgrade Goodes to Either hooker, Brodie or Gibson? I’m currently playing Oxley, Saad and Mcintosh onfield and feel they are destroying my scores more than any other position.
Backs are atrocious this year, but these 3 seem relatively safe. (T/U)

Or should I keep tex and rich, and just add Tarrant in for Heeney (via DPP), which won’t allow me to upgrade elsewhere?
    (T/D)

  38. Which Backs are we targeting for ROS value?
Pittard, Gibbo, Hodge, Hooker, Brodie, Rance, McGovernโ€ฆ..

Also, which is the best option here?
    Trade Newnes (THUMBS UP)
    Trade Goodes (THUMBS DOWN)

  39. Easy trades this week
    T.Lamb > R.Tarrant
    L.Parker > D.Mundy or D.Heppell

Goodes still rotting on the bench but he’s not playing and that should be the last of the corrective trades!

  40. Have to get rid of Newnes.
    Have 530k in the bank.

    Backline is: B.Smith, H.Shaw, H. Lumumba, A. Saad, A.Oxley, Newnes > ?

    T/U: Newnes > Gibson
    T/D: Newnes > Rance

    Comment for anyone else!
