Magner is gone, he has a BE of 30 which he’ll get but I feel only has about 30-50k more, meanwhile “The Horse” is slated to already go up after just 2 games $88k!! Get on “The Horse” before it’s bolted!
I feel Shiel & Coniglio have slightly more room to grow than Magner only slightly while J-Mac has a ton! We’ve already had the pleasure Of Magner rising in value $186k Don’t be Greedy let him go and Get on “The Horse”

I am stuck with my ruck situation and would appreciate some advice.
I currently have Sandi, Giles, Redden and Big O. Hopefully Sandi is back this week but I feel I need backup regardless b/c the Redden&Big O show has stalled.
Possible options for Redden: Get Maric in for Redden while he is still cheap. Get Roughy in so I can swap to the forward line. Get a Prem. Get a mid like Zac Smith?

Kennedy’s BE is 59 only this weekend(scoring 40) has he failed to get that.
Shiel’s BE is 17 which he’ll get easily, currently $288k I feel he can at least get $350k before you bring in a prem

Beames and Sidebottom are coming good and getting greater opportunity with Ball & Daisey out. Who gets pushed out when Daisey comes back in?

That’s right Fish. I’m a Suns supporter and watched all games. I’m banking on Ablett and Rischitelli returning this week. As I posted earlier, Horsley is in the lineup with Harbrow going down. Now with Bock as well and small injuries to swallow/mckenzie, horsley will continue to score well. He’s got a great left kick and good clearance and knows where to go. if horsley isn’t in 300,000 supercoach teams next week, there’s a lot of coaches not paying attention.

Horsley is a must get, even though I think his scoring will suffer once Ablett and Rischitelli rejoin the midfield group.
The Porpoise is out for me. He still has a very attainable break even, but if he has only averaged 78 against the likes of Gold Coast, Greater Western Sydney and the Bulldogs, I can’t see his scoring being any good against Geelong, Carlton and Collingwood in the next three rounds

I actually think the Porpoise’s scoring potential could be better against the better sides. When the Crows play the minnows TippTruck and Tex dominate and Porpoise just isn’t needed.

It is possible, but his two games so far this season against better opponents have netted 67 and 66 (against the Hawks and Swans), against a season average of 78.2.
In 2010, he played nine games against top 8 teams and scored: 51, 58, 48, 35, 41, 52, 57, 59 and 79. That is an average of 53.3. His season average was 70.8, so only one score was above his season average against top 8 teams and his average decreased 25% against those same teams

I know Shiel could make an extra 50k but thinking it’s better off living in the points that a mid gun will get. Will probably go for J.P Kennedy. Alread,y have ablett pen, selwood and,murphy.

Hi Don , i was thinking Judd as he has just had his rest, surely Murphy will be next to get rested. I could go Stanton but don’t think he is as reliable. Could also go swan? or joelwood? Plenty of options, I need a poll me thinks. Midfield is currently: ablett, pendles, bartel, Gibbs, masten, McDonald, shiel, magnet .

With Ablett, Pendlebury, Bartel and Gibbs (I assume that you want to keep all of them for the season), you have two round 12 byes and two round 13. Therefore, I would limit a star upgrade to somebody from a round 11 bye so as not to have three premiums out in the same week, so I wouldn’t get Judd on that basis alone (again, assuming you want to keep the four guys mentioned).
Of the round 11 bye teams, your best bets for premium upgrades are probably:
- Thompson from Adelaide (who still get to play Melbourne and GWS and Gold Coast a second time);
- Rockliff from Brisbane (although he also has a high break even after a poor game this week);
- Swallow from North (not an absolute elite, but you can be confident he will average 110 while scoring between 90 and 130 every week) or;
- Boyd from the Dogs (less consistent as Swallow as a SuperCoach scorer, but will likely have a similar end average)

Kennedy -> Taylor Adams is one option, leaves me with $435k in the bank for a couple of upgrades next week.

I have done enough chasing of cash cows and will let the ones I have mature till the bye weeks. Roughy has done enough to suggest he is going to be ok and with Redden and Big O not getting any love I decided to get a bit of Ruck coverage that I didn’t have before. Porps upcoming games are hard and he won’t score well and Roughy’s coming into a relative easy stretch so it could be a winner and give me a little peace of mind in the bye rounds as I have Ryder (R12) Giles (R11) and Roughy (R13).

If I do go for the first trade, next week depending on player prices I might be able to go Golby-rock-bottom rookie and Shiel to Ablett. This will mean I have a forward line of Murphy, Pendlebury, Ablett,Scott Selwood, Priddis, Shuey and Chris Masten and Kyal Horsley benched (Yes, I’m plannning to have lots of RD 11 doughnuts). I’ll be looking to make the following 4 trades over the next two weeks…Barring injuries to spoil the party. I have $108k up my sleeve.

Kennedy—> Adams….both (FWD/MID)
Morris—> Shaw
Ellis—> Heppell or equivalent
If I use Magner instead of Parker I’ll only have about 380k for the Ellis trade who would only get a Thornton / Gilbert / Merrett / Johncock type player….PASS! The downgrade options look to be weak in defence so I have to go for the kill and get two keepers. That’ll leave me with Lids, Goddard, Birchall, Broughton, Heater, Heppell, Clarke & Bugg. Not bad.
My Backs may currently be weak but Mids are strong enough to cover the loss of Parker (Ablett, Pendles, Murphy, J Selwood, Hayes) so if Horsley can continue to average 80 he’ll make up for the loss of Parker’s points considering it gets two 95+ premiums in defence and for two 60 average rookies who will be close to BE … then in 5-6 weeks Horsley will go out for a premium anyway.

Don’t like Dangerfield? Best option is to take names out of it and look at them like Shares. Crows#32 is worth it. But there is nothing wrong with Junior or Chappy either. I’d seriously go for Dangerfield if I were you, if your hatred extends to not being able to even have him in Supercoach, take a punt and go with Cyril with Hawthorns fixture due to ease up a bit.

Im going Magner —> Horsley. Thinking about going A. Kennedy —> Adams as well, but that trade would only give me a cash return of $100,000, adding with the Magner one to get a total of $260,000 for 2 trades.
Is it worth it? Will Kennedy be back up to his 100 mark again? Will Adams continue his form?

Currently sitting 186 overall with my team ‘The Freeballers’. Not looking to make any trades this week unless ole’ general soreness gets a guernsey. I have a strong midfield but no Ablett (for the moment). Went with the 1 premium 3 rookies ruck combo and so far have got away with it altough would be nice if Big O and Redden were playing.Considered getting ‘the orange roughie’ but his real value is as a DPP and the rest of the DPP Ruck/Forw players are not much chop. Horsely will no doubt be good value but can’t be jumping on everyone (remember Clay Smith’s first game anyone??). Planning to hold the GWS cash cows for a little while yet. BTW – what does Tom Couch have to do to get a game. He might die of leather poisoning before he gets to debut!!

Horsley will not be a Clay Smith or a Relton Roberts. He has been playing footy at a good level against men for 6 years now so there is no worries with his body or competitiveness. The fact that he was runner-up in the Sandover last year also shows class and that he shouldn’t be a flash in the pan. If you’ve still got a decent whack of trades you’d be mad to miss him……………………..IMO.

With tough decisions on how to get both Horsley & Adams into the team this week, has anyone got any info on why Aaron Hall of Gold Coast is not getting a game (especially when they have injuries)? I have found the following from last weekend’s games: –
‘Meanwhile, the Gold Coast Suns have confirmed Tasmanian recruit Aaron Hall will be playing NEAFL this afternoon against Northern Territory at Metricion Stadium. Hall was named only as an emergency for the Suns seconds, but football manager Marcus Ashcroft said he will definitely line up against the Thunder. “He was omitted from the senior side and was travelling emergency,” Ashcroft said. “Because of what happened then — he did not play at all last weekend — we feel he needs a full match in the seconds.”
With tough decisions on how to get both Horsley & Adams into the team this week, Goodes has helped get one in, however i need to choose between Hall, Courtney Hampton, A. Kennedy & Magner for who else has to go. Hall with a BE of -23 & Ave 53, High 72 and Low of 30 (sub from memory?) would be a tough one to go, however if he is so far out of favour & not going to get a sniff then may be the easy option, especially as Adams would be a DPP.

Kennedy to Adams seems a bit of a pointless trade to me… Your only gaining about $100,000 and we saw what happened with Devon Smith last week (BE of 60 odd, and smashes out a 111)! Anyway, Adams could do what Kennedy did anyway: have a few good weeks and then spud up!

No Magners not injured Hawk.I think alot of people a offloading him because his scoring isnt as good as it was. although he has still got a low BE and probably could make you some more $$ but if you wanna bring Horseley in ya team nows the time to do it and IMO you will make more$$$ if you trade Magner down to the Horse before he goes up.

Cheers for the heads up Dazz! I already had Horsley keeping my bench warm but was just wondering why Magner was so seemingly unpopular… He has scored lower than his potential the last couple rounds but he is capable of monster scores also… Think I might hold onto him

Must admit i was initially surprised at how many people are looking at trading out Magner this week as: -
BE 26, Ave 76, Low 61 (x2), High 102
I know he has hawks, sydney, carlton, essendon & pies prior to Rnd 12 bye, however another score of 90-100 & surely he has another $100 in him + good 6th / 7th midfielder.
Note his games from Rnd 13 give even Melbourne a chance of 3 to 4 wins – GWS, Brisbane, Richmond, Freo, Port, North, GC, St-Kilda, GSW, Adel & Freo.
I may end off trading him myself to get Horsely in whilst retaining Mid/For DPP link, however we should all not be surprised if he does a Devon Smith & knocks out a ton after he has been shipped out.

After a solid but not eye catching start to the season Coniglio had his first good score last weekend. His score last week alone means he has 2 decent price rises in him & i would not be surprised if he kicks on from here & really goes up in value (+providing good cover).
How about Goodes for Horsley & one of your slow moving forwards for Adams?

Nice pot to get Murphy, Rockliff, NDS & Sam Mitchell who will all be at attractive / value prices within a couple of weeks. Pendles going back up in price would also look great in your mids.

Yeah going to get Pendles after the bye period or if he has another shocker and bottomed out ill trade him in.
Rockliff a bit of a POD and last year started slowly with a few below 100 scores (5) but then brought it home with 11 consequative 100+ games. I think after next week or the week after he will be at his lowest price all year. And Magner/Coniglio have nearly hit there peak. Gives me a strong midfield group to get those regular scores, then just need to fix up my forward line.

Similar situation but need someone for McEvoy instead. Price is irrelevant, want the best for the job to partner Giles in my rucks.
Roughie and Ryder both seem inconsistent. It’s sub 90 or 110+. Not sure if i’m sold on these guys.

Personally think Big O and Redden are eventaully going to play sometime soon and will rise in price enough to upgrade if need be.
I think Big O not getting game because of how wet it is and Geelong not wanting to play too many big men at once. When they play at etihad or if West needs a rest he’ll slot in. So he’ll be a slow burner.
Redden isn’t the greatest ruckmen but he needs time to develop. Primus is in fairy land thinking Port can still make the finals so is playing his other ruckmen to try get wins. When he finally realises that he needs to develop his young players he wil get a game. Again another slow burner.
But with McEvoy need to trade him out. Rougie or Cox are the main guys to get in.
