  1. Same question as last week, what downgrade targets should I be looking at this week? Looking to downgrade Holman this week.

        1. I think a few people might have been hoping for more than 34 from him on the weekend. They’ll have forgiven him by Thursday night!

          1. Good point. It was low but he was not alone. If he can lock down Lever’s position I think he will be worth it.

            1. Think he’ll hold his spot, but feel his 90 point game will be the odd one out, not his 30 point ones.

DPP not super handy with pretty much no premos to swap him with this year, but should hopefully play the year out.

  2. Holman to Neale (?)
English (yeah, I’ve still got him) to loophole option, probably Olango

Moves Rockliff to M9, still have Fritsch at F6

    1. Olango and durman will stay in my team. Either is the last to play each round from here other than the unknown r23. Great c loops for rest of year.

  3. Probably going Guelfi to Buddy leaving me not what I think is full premo but full keeper. 5 trades left with only rookies as cover Austin/Heron D7, Spargo/Giro M9 and T.Smith/Ahern F7

  4. Nank and Holman to Grundy and P.Wilson? Will leave me with 4 trades and 100k in the bank to eventually upgrade either Parker or Dusty (already have a full premo side).

    TU- Do it
    TD- Hold trades

  5. Fritsch -> Westhoff
Also have Wingard so not sure if two port mid/fwds is a bad idea.

    T/U – Yes
    T/D – No
Comment – Other fwds or mids

      1. looks almost a luxury upgrade for mine, if you have everything else done. westhoff last 5 rd avg 95
fritsch last 5 rd avg 90
not so sure it’s a huge improvement

      1. very drole, but i’m surprised the numbers have changed so much. one week does not a player make, though an injury may break them.
i got kelly in last week, but already had oliver. if i hadn’t, i’d have gone oliver. and i still would this week.
absolute gun, hard as nails and no injury history, plus some comparatively easy games coming up.

  6. 10 trades, one off full premo
    Is it worth going
L Ryan (WCE) to A non playing rookie for a loophole
    Austin to Crisp

    13

    1. have we heard anything yet? i saw he was getting his hammies massaged on the bench towards the end so maybe it’s not as bad as first thought?!?

  7. Team is at full premo almost. Just want to get Lloyd to replace Austin at D6 when he peaks in price next week or the week after. Also was thinking of Goldy to Grundy at R2 but may not have to do that now; 5 tonnes on the trot! I have 10 trades left (nothing in the bank), but enough for some luxury upgrades. Was thinking of Kelly in for Coniglio/Martin who sit at M7/M8. The latter 2 (especially Martin) are just costing me 20 points each week – well worth an upgrade. I expect controversy.

    T/U: Coniglio>Kelly
    T/D: Martin>Kelly

    1. Surely you have a rookie to upgrade somewhere so you can slide use Dusty/Cogs as M8/M9 cover? Otherwise i’d suggest holding off, bench cover can be really valuable especially in finals.

      4

  8. Final upgrade.

    TU: Lycett to Grundy
    TD: Lycett to Goldstein.

Grundy is obviously the safe option.
Meanwhile, Goldy has averaged 116 over the last 5 rounds and is priced 90k cheaper.
    I already have Gawn.

    20

    1
    1. Everyone is bullish on Grundy but I’d be going Goldy. But I’m playing for a league win not rank and I like Goldy’s run in the finals better than Grundy’s.
In fact come round 21 if everything remains on track I’ll be swapping Nic Nat out for Goldy for the same reason.

      1

  9. Dagnammit, my trades are out of step with what I want to do.
    I want to
    Trade out
    L.Ryan, N.Holman
    Trade in
    J.Kelly, J De Goey
I want Mclean back in the fwd line which means I can place J.Kelly in the mids. That leaves with a full compliment of Mids and still Holman to trade. He’s likely to bleed cash a little bit and De Goey’s price is going north with a low BE.
Might see what happens with Redman first and pull the trigger on Holman then.(Via O’Connor)

    1. Holman (and Doedee) will likely drop in price this week, but will bounce back over the next couple of weeks. There’s still a long way to go, so I wouldn’t panic too much.
They will be my D7 and M9 for some time yet, barring injuries or real good trade opportunities.
That said, I only have six trades left and want to hold onto them as long as I can.

  10. Last upgrade before going full (retard) premo. Fritsch is out for either a FWD or DEF (Via Sicily). 400k banked so cash not an object.

    T/U – Tom McDonald
    T/D – Westhoff

Comment – P.O.D (Jayden Short or Luke Ryan)

    Thanks as always 🙂

  11. I’ve got a battle of the B’s over here. Am I crazy to be considering Big Benny Brown of Buddy? Both key forwards so will be a roller coaster regardless but Buddy has the experience, the past scores and a higher ceiling however Brown is injury free (as far as I know), has an easier run home and is a huge POD. If you feel like dropping a comment then hit me up, if not please get on those thumbs. Cheers.

    T/U – Brown
    T/D – Buddy

  12. Easy one this week

Holman out and Joel Smith in

    Netts me over $200K gain.

Will be eagerly looking at Webster and Macrae as they bottom out in price over the next couple of weeks or so

BTW bye rounds were kind to me going from 900+ to 450

  13. 8 trades left , sittn 4th in my league & chasn a 3rd flag in a row , no trades over the next 2 weeks as am playn the 2 bottom teams in my league , holding for quality rookies bargain upgrades to replace Holman , Dahlhaus & Ainsworth ..

    3
  14. Doedee and fritsch left to upgrade with only 6 trades and 99k in the bank.
T/U trade doedee to someone max 490k
T/D do a downgrade on the bench to get the money to go doedee to crisp/Lloyd/T.Mac but only have 4 trades left

  15. Looking to fill my final premo slot. I can swing Sicily so can bring in a forward or a defender. I have $541,200 to spend.

    TU: Crisp
    TD: Robbie Gray

Comment: Wait a week for T McDonald to drop in price.

    4

    21
  16. 5 trades left, worse player on field is rocky at m8

worth going down to 3 trades and have rocky m9 and Josh kelly ?

    17

    7
  17. Current Def 6: Laird, Simpson, Howe, Sicily, Yeo, Richards

Current Fwd 6: Buddy, Heeney, D. Smith, Walters, McLean, Fritsch

Looking to upgrade Richards this week and then Fritsch later on. Thoughts on who should be the last spot on each line. Gray and Lloyd? Or is McDonald worth it on either line?

    Any thoughts appreciated.

    1. McDonald is currently overpriced so he can wait. Another sub-par score next week and he might drop like a stone the following week!

Personally, I like Crisp, Hurley and Hurn as DEFs you haven’t got. So much talk on here of how Lloyd tends to fade has put me off him a bit. I really like Crisp and he has a decent and steady role in what appears to be a good and consistent side (that bit pains me!)
and he hasn’t missed a game in three years. there ya go. i’ve cursed him.

  18. Liam ryan + holman out for dawson (gcs) + danger.

Team done. 5 trades left. Austin, ahern+giro, mcinerney, guelfi as bench cover for the time being.

  19. What do people think of this side as a plan? Players in brackets are to be brought in. I currently have 11 trades left and to do this with a premium on bench on each line, will require a minimum of 5 trades (so 10 in total, 1 one, 1 down), and currently have $191,300 in the kitty. Or would it be better to keep some trades (between 3 and 5) for injuries and side trades come finals time?

Def: Laird, Simpson, Yeo, Hurn, (McDonald, Lloyd)
    Def bench: Webster

Mids: Titch, Fyfe, Cripps, Danger, Oliver, Coniglio, (Kelly, Neale/Gaff)
    Mid bench: Martin

    Rucks: Gawn, Martin

    Fwd:
Heeney, Gray, McLean, Smith, Sicily, (Westhoff/Menegola)
    Fwd bench: Walters

    3

    1
    1. I personally prefer to not be so committed. I mean why have so much money on the bench at the expense of trades? If one of your on field premo’s goes down then you can use one of your trades at that time to replace him with who ever you like. That way you can check out who your planned replacement is playing etc. just gives you more options than being locked in to your initial choices.

      3

  20. Looking at upgrading Martin to Grundy this week. Leaves me $16K in the bank and 6 trades left. Grundy is averaging 21 more points per game.

    TU – Do it
    TD – Save your trades!

    14

    9
  21. What’s going on with Liam Ryan, is he just floundering without the likes of Kennedy and Darling bringing it to ground or has he just lost confidence?

    1

    1
  22. I’ll be at full premium this week but with only 5 trades left.
Is it worth going Guelfi to a very underpriced Jack Reiwoldt (324k) at F7 ? Jack is averaging 84 not including the game he was concussed and was averaging 91 prior to that game. Would be good cover and a loophole option to swap with Walters/Buddy. He can also essentially cover a midfielder who doesn’t play as well by using DPP on other players.

I would otherwise save this trade to use whenever an injury happens or use it to upgrade Martin to Grundy later on if possible. Another option would be to get Luke shuey next week if he scores badly but that would only mean cover on one line and I doubt he would serve much loopholing purpose.

    2

    7
  23. Call me crazy, but anyone else considering Ben Brown?
Decent run home and could be a massive forward POD in the finals?

    9

    6
  24. OUT: Barry (finally) & Fritsch
    IN: Dawson (GCS) & Kelly
Leaves me with 9 trades, 118k and 1 spot to upgrade in def (with Martin in the ruck, Martin and Coniglio in the mid, Webster in def and Walters in fwd).

    TU: Good trades
    TD: Reassess

    5

    4
  25. I’m full Premo with 6 trades left, but don’t have Fyfe. Should I move on Parker/Dusty next week for him?

    6

    7
  26. Can the few supporters who follow and watch Suns games give us some info on Dawson? Where does he play and is he likely to play for an extended period?

    0

    0
  27. Out: M Kreuzer, N Holman

    In:
TU: S Jacobs, P Cripps (M9), Allows Webster at D7
    TD: T Goldstein, D Mundy (M9), Defender under 400,000 at D7
Comment: B Grundy, D Hannebery (M9), Allows Webster at D7

    5

    6
    1. Surely Cripps is better than M9? Or do you mean that he would be your 9th premium midfielder, allowing you to push a lesser premium to M9?

      1

      0
      1. He would allow me to push Wines/Coniglio to M9 but it means I would have to select S Jacobs at R2 as Andrews and Austin need to be traded.

  28. Last premo upgrade this week or next for fritsch. can either be a fwd or defender as have Tmac and sicily in backline.
Current fwd/def premos in addition to two above are yeo, laird, simpson, howe, walters, heeney, mclean, devon smith, gray.
Who do people think is the best option in the run home out of buddy, hurley, lloyd, menegola (or anyone other options I havent thought off)?

    0

    0
  29. Backs
Tmac, lloyd, laird, Simpson, Hurley, yeo
    (Austin, Murphy)
    Midfield
Fyfe, Mitchel, danger, cripps, gaff, coniglio, Martin, walkers (ahern, Phillips, Murphy)
    Forwards
Sicily, Robinson, westhoff, Franklin, Smith, McLean (guelfi, Smith)
I have 7 trades left and 20k left
    Who rates this team????
Do I need to do any trades????

  30. Final mid upgrade:

    Current mids:

    Fyfe, JKelly, Oliver, Mitchell,
    Dangerfield, Coniglio, Martin, TKelly..

    TU: TKelly> Cripps

    TD: TKelly> Treloar

    Or POD: Neale??

    11

    2
  31. Last midfield spot. Simple equation

    T/U: Danger
    T/D: Oliver

Interested in the communities thoughts as to why you voted that way in the comments

    5

    7
    1. Voted for Oliver. Better and more consistent than Danger this year, plus he has a good draw over the next few weeks.
If Danger gets more time in the MIDs from here then he’d likely be a better choice, but I’d like to see evidence first. if I had to choose now, I’d go with Oliver.

      2

      0
  32. I know it’s a bit early, but if Mihocek can hold his spot for the next month he’ll be more or less a straight swap for Grant Birchall when he comes back.

There are far worse players you could have at D7, and he has a good record against most of the teams he is scheduled to play against.

    3

    2
  33. This will probably be my last upgrade, will only have enough $ for one or the other of:

    TU: Fritsch > Heeney
    TD: Dahlhaus>Franklin

    8

    8
  34. Planning on bringing in Dangerfield (via Heeney) this week, but who makes way??

    It’s either Mundy or Fritsch:
    Mundy (3Rd ave-85, 5Rd. ave-85.6)
    Fritsch (3Rd ave-90.7, 5Rd ave-89.2)

On recent form, Fritsch is 5pts/week to the good and will save me $15.2k too (which could prove invaluable later on with injury trades).

Mundy has been v poor recently, he’s old and looking at his back-half of season performances over the last few years, he’s making me very nervous (it ain’t a pretty sight). That said, Fritsch is a rookie and may fade between now and season’s end. There’s still a long way to go (just over half way if the Dees play a couple of Finals), so the question I’ve been asking myself is, can he keep it up?!

I’m in a real quandary over this, to the point I might just do nothing as I only have 6 trades left. Whoever I keep, will likely be on the field to season’s end. Gulp!

    Decisions, decisions!!

ALL and any feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thanks SCTers!

      1. D Mundy:
        2018 OS Avg: 103.71 from 7 (low of 90 and a high of 126, 3/7 below 100, 1/7 120+)
        2018 Interstate Avg: 80.17 from 6 (low of 53 and a high of 105, 5/6 below 100)
        2018 OS Wins Avg: 107.6 from 5 (low of 98 and a high of 123, 1/5 below 100, 1/5 120+)
        2018 Wins Avg: 102.83 from 6 (low of 79 and a high of 123, 2/6 below 100, 1/6 120+)
        2018 Losses Avg: 84.29 from 7 (low of 53 and a high of 105, 6/7 below 100)

Fremantle have 6 of their last 9 games at Optus Stadium against Brisbane, Port, Hawthorn, West Coast, Carlton and Collingwood

  35. After further analysis, I can keep both Mundy and Fritsch (for now) and am in a similar dilemma to Catta’s earlier today:

    TU: bring in Neale today!
TD: bring in Danger next week

I much prefer and feel more comfortable with Danger. I am a bit nervous about Neale given he seems to go big AWAY from OptusStadium with pretty ordinary scores on home turf. This concerns me as Freo have a lot of home games 6/9 on the run home (thanks Adam for that juicy nugget of info!)

  36. Hey guys I’m in Canada at the moment so haven’t been watching games. Planning to trade in Treloar this week but hearing he might have done his hammy. Ranked 20 at the moment and want him in for Macrae but worried he’s hurt can anyone give me some info about it. Thanks

    0

    0
    1. cramped up in both hammies. will need a test but should be right to go.

only point is that cramp damages/weakens the muscle which means he may be down a little on output next week, but should be no concern as long as it doesn’t recur.

    2. apologies but just checked news channels …
looks like a minimum four weeks, with both the HeraldSun and FoxFooty saying it could be season-ending!!
      will know more tomorrow apparently

      1. Oh no way! Thanks for that Mate. Guess my next question is who do I bring in then? Currently have Macrae, Fyfe, danger, Cripps, Mitchell, gaff, kelly, Oliver. Can’t afford to hold on to Macrae with my ranking.

        1. sounds like he might have torn the hammy off the bone!!

probably Lachie Neale would be the best bet.
JPK and Zerrett have both been showing decent signs of late. other than that …

de Goey may benefit from Treloar’s demise if you’re looking for a FWD?!

          0

          0
            1. Yeah mate think should go Duncan. Don’t really trust Merrett (Essendon supporter) or jpk. Feel like Duncan is seriously under appreciated

  37. LRyan> Dawson via Walters
    Fritsch> Kelly via Mclean

Full premo with 9 trades remaining for injuries/luxury upgrades

    4

    1
  38. One off full premo so should so i:

    Tu: fritsch to walters
Leaves 8 trades for rest of year and 80k
Td: fritsch to Walters and first luxury trade for the year. Coniglio to dangerfield

Option 2 leaves rockliff as mid 8 for now

    Comments any other options. Cherrs

    5
  39. Final fwd upgraded
    T/U – Gray
T/D- Jordan De Goey bit of a Pod, 50k cheaper and just maybe more mid time with treloar out

I would normally go gray but a lot of people have him,I’m feeling the pod option a little bit and I have 3 Port players already and I hate having more than 3 players from the one team it never works for me

  40. Who would you trade out or rank in order between the following:
    Spargo, Fritsch, Holman and guelfi.

Is there any of these 4 that you would keep as D9 or F7?

    Thoughts appreciated

  41. Who should I bring in to complete my backline? Crisp or Laird?

Current defence is Sicily (I’ll swing him forward), Yeo, Simpson, Ryan, Howe, Hurley.

10 trades after two this week.

    TU Crisp
    TD Laird

    0

    7
  42. Fritsch out for Heeney.
Dusty in for Treloar (who I traded in just 5 mins before yesterday’s game)

Next week, Stephenson and Rocky out for Danger and Cripps
