  1. Just out of curiosity… for those without ruck cover, what are you planning to do this week if Gawn doesn’t get up?

    TU: Trade him out
    TD: Cop the doughnut

Comment: Trade in ruck cover (e.g. Lycett)

    1. Get lycett in. His break even is -8 and he seems to be scoring well even wth ryder in.
Warning though, port players are jinxed.

      4

    2. I have Daniel, if Gawn is out would you suggest trading Daniel to Lycett instead of Marshall to avoid the Gawn donut? Or is Marshall just the better option?

    3. Other comment – hope to hell Zac Clarke gets named.
Serious question for Bombers supporters – if he doesn’t get named this week, why is he on the list?

      2

        1. Wtf you on about he will for sure? HE will never get named again!

Mc Kernan will solo with Hooker FWD unless Stringer gets up!

          1

          5
      1. We really needed him after James Stewart went down and now the Sam Draper is out in our VFL he needs to play a crucial role. With Bellchambers out he is going to get a go in our senior side.i

    4. Assuming Gawn is out I’m trading him to Lycett, then when Gawn is back I’ll swing Lycett to F6 and trade Gawn back in at a discount ( Lycett should average well enough for F6, doesn’t play too many good ruckman in the run home). Breakevens work in my favour I’ve got 12 trades prior to this week and sitting 8k so need to make some aggressive moves to push ahead in the rankings.

      TU: good move
      TD: you crazy

      1. If you have enough trades and have a spot to fill FWD, excellent move.
Otherwise I’d consider Ladhams IN for your R3 (if named) as decent enough cover for a week, OR upgrade elsewhere and cop it!

I’m looking to be very aggressive too, sitting just outside top 2k. If Gawn isn’t named will swing Lycett in there, trade Setters to Chol and swing him and Greene thru Gardner.
Next week, reverse the swing and take it from there. If Lycett goes big again this week he may well be my F6. If not I’ll trade him to Cunnington (or the like) and put Heeney back in his rightful spot at F6. Lots of pts and $120K for 2 weeks work. Getting him in last week was my best move of the year. Apart from getting Marshall for $430k 🙂

  2. 8 trades left at the start of this week.
Is it worth trading Robbie Young to Chol so that i can afford to get Hore out for Hurn?
    Would make my defense:
Lloyd, Hurn, Williams, Ryan, Stewart, Logue (Gardner, Answerth)
and would leave 6 trades left with Logue the only rookie on the field

    T/U – Yes, do it
    T/D -No, save trades

    38

    1
      1. I guess the thing i was more worried about was saving the trade and just going Hore to Houli or Laird instead of Hurn, but seems like Hurn is a must have and i want to leave the last premium spot for Whitfield when he drops in price

  3. Thinking of trading Setterfield > Marshall,
which will give me Marshall as cover for Daniel until he comes back. Once Daniel is back, if Marshall is still going well I can flick either Dunkly, Danger, Kelly or Heeney into the MID.

    Also thinking of upgrading B.Smith > T.Stewart.

Leaves me with 8 trades and $37,300.

    Thoughts?

Or otherwise I just run Setterfield on field and upgrade other onfield rookies.

  4. I’ve got 10 trades and $134K in the bank and am an unfortunate owner of Gawn with no ruck cover.

If he doesn’t get up, would bringing in Ladhams for Sweet be way too risky? Still got 4 spots to upgrade which are Smith Logue Stack and Clarke. Even with the trade I could still upgrade Smith to Stewart.

Already full premo in fwd line. Thoughts SCT community? Thanks in advance!

    1. You could bring in z clarke for cover this week. He will get plenty of game time with bell out so will increase as well

      3

      2
  5. Will keep Westhoff for Gawn coverage.

Thinking Hore & Bewley for Hurn & Chol (F7)
After these possible trades will have 10 trades left & $700.

    TU: Yep
    TD: Try again

    17

    0
  6. TU: Daniel out, Sloane in via DPP
TD: Daniel out, Marshall in (would be Lycett if I’d had Bines as R3, in case Gawn out)

    5

    1
  7. 8 trades at the start of this round
t/u: burgess to chol, daniel to dunkley
t/d: burgess to chol, daniel to walters and save $50,000 which will mean that i save a trade in my last upgrade of logue (leaving me with 4 instead of 3) to whitfield and also means i should have a playing rookie as bench cover in my mids.
is dunkley that much more of a must have than walters or will they both finish strong and play every game?

    6

    1
    1. or comment here if u think lycett would be a better option than walters while providing possible ruck cover seeming i have bines as R3.

      5

      1. Lobb and Hoff might both be back this week and would be cheaper options. Lycett is quite expensive now and if he loses that sole ruck role his scores will suffer.

    1. Hawkins:

Pros: Soft Draw, Geelong tend to dominate SC, Consistent for a KPP, High Ceiling, In a quality side with good delivery, proven performer, plays Carlton in the Supercosch Grand Final, is very cheap and durable.

Cons: Is a KPP and may drop a sub 50 score every half dozen or so games, Better options in forward line.

Pros outweigh the cons. If I had a spot at F6 left id be looking at Hawk

      4

      1. I’ve got my eye on him also. He will drop in price with his breakeven so will be a bargain next week!

  8. Seems i need a DPP mid/fwd in my mid line (too many mid/fwd in forward line and i can’t swap with anyone!)

who is best option with some JS ?

  9. Best fallen premo to replace Daniel?

    Tu; Tom Hawkins

    Td; Jeremy Cameron

    Comment if any others?

    9

  10. Like most ppl I’ve got Daniel and looking to offload him

Already got Danger, Boak, Kelly, Heeney, Dunkley

Is Robbie Gray worth it? 3 of the next 4 at AO and saves me a little cash, or go for a premium

    TU Gray
    TD Ziebell

    18
    1. I think missed the boat on gray so jump on ziebell who looks to have a good role under new coach and potential to score really well

  11. 9 trades left. Thinking of going

    Parker to Chol
    Andrews to crisp

    Tu do it
    Td save your trades

    3

    6
    1. Crisp looks a nice price and good POD option.
Not a lot between the D4,5,6 defenders so I’d say go for it

  12. Hey guys, any suggestions here?

    Def
Lloyd, laird, ryan, d moore, Smith, Logue
    (Answorth, gardiner)

    Mid
Macrae, j Kelly, fyfe, cripps, Neale, Sloane, oliver b crouch
    (Hately, clarke, scott)

    Ruck
    Gawn, Grundy
    (Clarke)

    Fwd
T Kelly, danger, dunkley, heeney, greene, chol
    (Setterfield, young)

I have 420k in the bank and 8 trades.

Am I in a decent position?
    I still need likey 3 upgrades minimum (logue/ answorth, chol, d moore/smith)

    1

    0
    1. I’d go Smith > Hurn this week.
Loophole Moore & Answerth thru Gardner. Moore may not go so well this week v HAW.
You can also loophole Chol and Setters thru Young.
Both are probably the right starting choices but just in case, you should do it to ensure you maximise onfield pts.

      3

      0
        1. For shizzle!
That’s what they’re there for. Use them!
I still managed to miss out on 48pts last week making the wrong decisions on whether to loop, take or sub.
At least it gives you the choice!

  13. 8 trades left, 40k in the bank and ranked in the 300’s. Thinking this week:
    Bewley>Chol(F7) via Setterfield
    Daniel> J.Kelly via R.Gray

    Next week:
    O’Brien>Bines
    B.Smith>Hurn

That leaves me with 4 trades and then can trade Hore> Whitfield leaving me with 3 trades and a full premium team looking like

BACKS: Lloyd, Hurn, Whitfield, Williams, Laird, Sicily(Logue, Gardener)
MIDS: Kelly, Fyfe, Cripps, Macrae, Neale, Oliver
    Bont, M. Crouch(Seterfield, Clarke, Baker)
    RUCKS: Grundy, Gawn(Bines)
FWDS: Dunkley, Danger, Boak, Kelly, Heeney, Gray(Chol, Young)

    TU: Sounds a perfect plan
    TD: Better options about

  14. Hey guys, need some advice this week. My team stands as follows:

lloyd, hurn, williams, sicily, houli, duursma
    (Gardiner, Naish)

kelly, parker, macrae, fyfe, neale, cripps, oliver, crouch
    (bewely, baker, clarke)

    grundy, gawn (bines)

dunkley, danger, kelly, boak, heeney, daniel
    (walker, young)

As you can see Daniel needs to as I have no bench cover, Duursma needs to be upgraded. Houli also if he keeps putting up average scores.
Ideally want whitifeld, feel free to advise otherwise :/
Currently ranked inside the top 50, only 5 trades remaining.
130k in the bank and not much room for error.

    Thoughts please ???
    Appreciated.

    1. Daniel > Ziebell
Baker via Duursma (hide him as you don’t have enough trades left but he does offer cover) > Crisp or ANO upto $510Kish

Should leave you with just under $60k

If you go for Marshall rather than Ziebell, your DEF options are limited to ONLY Crisp and you’ll have to trade Duursma to get there with no bank left. A bit of bank is good at this stage I reckon. Ziebell is a nice POD too and I see him and Marshall scoring similarly for the next 8wks!

      Good luck whatever you decide.

      1. Oops, that’s O Baker isn’t it?!? My bad.

Still stands, just trade Duursma OUT instead of Baker 😉

        1. Ideally I want to pick up whitfield, am i better off getting him say with a fallen premo such as cameron/hawkins???

Or should i spread the balance of my spending and get Crisp & Ziebell :/

          1

          0
          1. I’d read what I just wrote in the Fallen Premos thread, see what other people’s views are on this and then decide. We don’t know if Whitfield is playing this week yet.
All I know is that, given your current standing, I’d want the points this week.
            Good luck whatever you decide!

            0
          2. Whitfield’s BE is 154. I’d wait until he plays one or two games with that 65 in his cycle. His price will come down.

            1

            0
  15. Thinking Duursma to Chol to free up some cash, then upgrade in defence. But who goes first?
    TU: Smith
    TD: Hore

    4

    2
    1. Or leave both as they’ve already lost cash and are likely to level out at around the same price over the next few weeks and upgrade Scott to any mid/fwd sub $507k?

Any suggestion what i should do?

    1. You’ve 9 MIDs and two Tim Kelly’s, maybe repost correct team.
If you’re going for overall, I wouldn’t be holding Daniel, but if you’re going for Leagues and are guaranteed decent finals spot, then could be wise.

  17. Should getting rid of B.Smith be a priority this week?

Or is there any chance he can come good again?

Not sure if I should get rid of him yet or focus on my remaining rookies this week.

TU – Get rid of him now before his price goes down even more.

TD – Leave him there for now and focus on upgrading your remaing 3 on field rookies first (even if Smith’s price drops)

    Cheers.

  18. The Daniel injury has made things a little tricky, but I think I’ve got my next two weeks mapped out.

Any feedback on the prospects of going into Round 17 onwards with the following side:

Lloyd, Hurn, Williams, Laird, Crisp, Smith (Logue, Gardner)
Macrae, Cripps, Neale, Kelly, Fyfe, Bont, Oliver, MCrouch (Bewley, Hately, M/F DPP)
    Gawn, Grundy (Bines)
Danger, Boak, Kelly, Gray, Heeney, Hawkins (Moore (Col), Young)

    5 trades / ~$60k bank

Pending other injuries, would then be eyeing off Whitfield and Dunkley as luxury upgrades for Smith and Moore (contingent on Hately and Bewley making some more money).

    2

  19. I’m $7,100 short of being able to trade Bewley out for Sloane. Should I:

TU: 2 trades: Bewley and R.Young out for Sloane and Chol. $29,700 ITB, 8 trades remaining. Keep Setterfield’s Mid/FWD flexibility plus his BE is 35, but burn an extra trade to do so.

TD: 1 trade: Setterfield out for Sloane. $63,600 ITB, 9 trades remaining.

Either option would mean my M8 is B. Crouch and F6 is R. Gray, with only Duursma requiring upgrading to Whitfield in coming weeks

    7

    0
    1. Do you have DPP flexibility to get rid of Duursma and Young for Sloane and ANO this week?! Might be a better option if you do!

      0

      1. I’d love to say yes allsaints, but I don’t believe so. Team is currently as follows:

Def: Lloyd, Hurn, Williams, Andrews, Sicily, Logue (Duursma, Naish)

Mid: Macrae, Fyfe, Danger,Cripps, Neale, Oliver, BCrouch, Setterfield (D.Clarke, Bewley, Rowbottom)

        Ruck: Grawndy, Bines

FWD: Lycett, Boak, Kelly, Billings, Gray, Heeney (Begley, R.Young)

Appreciate your thoughts, oh wise one

      1. Cash gen. I have two on field spots left for upgrades and no cash in the bank. 9 trades left

        1

        0
        1. Nice. Do it for sure, as even one more game should net you $80-100K, two more and you’re laughing. Do you seriously have NO OTHER cash gen? Who are you trading OUT?

          0

          0
          1. Probably Setterfield, he’s my highest priced rookie. Otherwise it would have to be D.Clarke, Bewley, O.Baker, B.Scott, Bines or R.Young

            0

            0
    1. As a Richmond supporter I still don’t think his JS is that great.
He’s still raw and with Nank coming back soon and with Balta thereabouts, I’m not convinced he will stay in long term.
If it’s for cash generation, than do it though.
Just don’t expect him to be playing in three weeks and if he is it will be a peasant surprise.

  20. Quick and easy….9 trades remaining now
    Logue D6 (fine for now)
    D Clarke/Baker M8 (need to go premo)

    Daniel for….

    Marshall – 140k left
    Ziebell – 190k left

    TU: Marshall
    TD: Ziebell

    5
    1. The question you need an answer to is,

Do you think Marshall will average 13.75pts more than Ziebell from here to season’s end? assuming they both play every game.
If you do, then get Marshall, cos that is exactly what you’re paying the extra for. If not, get Ziebell.

That said, if you’re gonna keep that extra $50k saved in your bank for a while, you simply want the player you think will average more! Maths is never that simple I’m afraid 😉

      Good luck whatever you decide.

      1

      0
      1. Haha. Agreed Allsaints….maths is never that simple and neither is SC! You and I both know full well, that what we think will happen, is likely to be ass ended during the first quarter.

The extra 50k will be used next week to upgrade Baker or Clarke to an M8. Should’ve happened this week, but……Daniel.

I’ve made the trade on Marshall and will offload Young for Chol if selected, banking 30. Next week, Answerth into ??? and Baker into M8. That just leaves Logue at D6 as only onfield rookie with 6 trades remaining for a Logue upgrade and injuries till seasons end.

  21. Hey guys I am after some advice this week as it feels like a bit of a make or break week regarding trades.

    Bank: 352k
    Trades: 7

DEF: Lloyd, Hurn, Laird, Crisp, Sicily, B. Smith. (logue, answerth)

MID: Macrae, fyfe, Cripps, Oliver, Coniglio, Sloane, d. Clarke, n. Hind. (o. Baker, b. Bewley, b. Scott)

    Ruck. Gawn, grundy, sweet

FWD: Danger, Marshall, boak, T. Kelly, Daniel, heeney. (burgess, r. Young)

    A couple of notes:
    – I am only playing for leagues and am assured of playing finals in my 3 leagues.
-I have been waiting for an eternity to buy Neale and O. BAKER TO L. NEALE was a certainty this week until Daniels injury.
-I dont have any DPP switching ability through my own fault, it’s my first year playing.

    Cheers guys, any help appreciated

  22. Ian Hill looks like he might debut for GWS this week. Has handy mid/fwd status, layed a lot of tackles and kicked a few goals in the neafl last week so should score ok.

    3

    1
    1. Firmly on my radar for the final midfield bench downgrade.

Don’t particularly mind if he doesn’t end up playing out the season, but with any luck he’ll get a run of games. Just having the flexibility to swing a forward premo into the mids will be extremely valuable.

      2

  25. I have the Daniel saga.

TU – trade to Ziebell, just short on Lycett, Walters, Marshall etc. or double trade to get one of them in.

TD – keep Daniel, trade out Stocker for rookie Mid/For link.
Get Hoff in at F7. Use him until Daniel gets back and further Ruck cover.

    Thoughts?

    2
  26. Playing for overall, must make 2 trades this round. Simple;

    Tu- Whitfield & Hawkins IN

    Td- Ryan & Ziebell IN

Should I spread my cash flow evenly or do I look at getting the number 1 scoring defender whilst fit and make the sacrifice of a fallen premo up fwd??

    2

    8
    1. Great player with good scoring potential but very injury prone. Could be worth a punt but not for the faint hearted. High risk, high reward.

      1

      0
  27. 6 trades left and unsure what to do with Daniel here are my options

T/U – Daniel & Corbett to Chol and Dunkley leaves me 4 trades with one premo spot remaining

T/D – Daniel to either, Heeney or Ziebell and save a trade, but means i’ll unlikely have the chance to get Dunkley.

    2

    6
  28. Averaging the same but who would you prefer for the rest of the season?

    TU – Dunkley
    TD – Marshall + $50K

Other FWDs are Danger, Boak, TKelly, Heeney and JCameron.

    11

    5
  29. TU Daniel>Lycett
Leaves me with 10k, 5 trades with 3 spots to fill
    TD Daniel>Ziebell
Leaves me with 70k, 5 trades with 3 spots to fill

    7
  30. Maxy!

If the big boy is ruled out, hoff named, is it worth bringing in Hoff for FWD/Ruck cover for the remainder of the season. Would cost 110k (M Parker out).
7 trades remaining. 166k in bank before trade.
Stack & a defender to still to upgrade. Potentially Brayshaw needs an upgrade (luxury).

    TU: Get Hoff Cover
TD: Just accept a donut this week

    4

    8
  31. Ok, team as follows with 4 trades left and $78K in the bank, placed 11K overall:

DEF – Lloyd, Laird, Ryan, Williams, Sicily, Logue (Duursma, Answerth)
MID – Fyfe, Macrae, Cripps, Neale, Sloane, Yeo, Oliver, B Crouch (Clarke, Bewley, Baker)
    RUC – Gawn, Goldstein (Bines)
FWD – Dangerfield, Kelly, Dunkley, Boak, Billings, Heeney (Young, Gardner)

Concerned about Gawn and don’t want to burn two trades but considering making one . If Westhoff is named I can straight trade with Duursma via Gardner DPP and Bines DPP. Would then use as ruck cover this week (regardless of whether Gawn is named or not as think he could be a late out) and then use as F7 loophole/ruck cover for the rest of the season.

    T/U – Yes
T/D – save the trade and take the donut.

    3

  32. I have the Daniel dilemma like so many others.
My initial thought was Daniel to Marshal and Balta to Chol to generate cash.
But with Gawn under a cloud, he could be named tonight and be a late withdrawal.
Could go Daniel to Lycett and then I would Bines as DPP to swap.
But if Gawn pulls out late, it’s too late to do that. So i would cop a donut anyway.
My long winded question is Lycett a better punt than Marshall purely so can put him into the ruck if either Gawn or Grundy miss games from next week on?
So based on that, TU for Lycett, TD for Lycett

    1. Probably not. I’d do Andrews to Whit if you didn’t have him and you had no rooks on the field in defence.

  33. Really stuck on who to downgrade this week…11 trades left and only 12.7k in bank wanting to plan for Hurn and Whitfield. Thinking one of Answerth or Baker to Chol (via Burgess/Answerth dpp) as feel Duursma will be the upgrade target…any other ideas SCT? Should I be considering two trades?

Lloyd, Williams, Laird, Hore, Duursma, Logue B: Gardner, Answerth
J Kelly, Neale, Fyfe, Macrae, Cripps, Cognilio, B Crouch, Hately, B: O Baker, Clarke, Bewley
    Grundy, Gawn B: Bines
Kelly, Boak, Dangerfield, Dunkley, Marshall, Heeney B: Young Burgess

  34. Is Lachie Neale a must have or am I better off going for a POD like Treloar and banking some cash?

    TU: Must have
    TD: Go for a POD

  35. Daniel conundrum as many of us have..

Lloyd, Laird, Sicily, Williams, Hurn, Logue
    Answerth, Gardiner

Fyfe, Macrae, Cripps, Coniglio, Oliver, Bont,
    J Kelly, Clarke
    Hind, Bewley, Hately

    Gawn, Grundy. Bines

    Daniel, Danger, Heeney, Dunkley, TKelly,Boak
    Young, Setterfield

Would like to trade Marshall in for Daniel but if Gawn is out thinking Lycett

TU: Marshall take the donut if Gawn doesn’t play as Marshall may outscore Lycett for the rest of the year

    TD: Lycett

9 trades left before this and rank 4600

    1. A no brainer yes. He’s 102k, playing this week and who knows what injuries or the setup dimmer goes with moving forward. As long as you arent relying on him on field and you have 5+ trades left of course he’s worth the downgrade to allow an up

      1

      0
  36. Tu- Ziebell and treloar
Td- Tim kelly for Daniel and only use one trade

And stack and Daniel would be the ones traded out

  37. Hi Everybody!

I am having an increasingly bizarre problem, and would like to see what you all can come up with. Over the byes, I was able to make downgrades as planned. Because of premiums getting hurt for multiple weeks and needing to replace them to avoid donuts, I kept not being able to make as many upgrades as I expected. I brought in guys I wanted, and needed their points, but that meant little progress towards full premo. I had enough trades to make 3 a week and 2 last week, with 8 left at the start of this week. I had expected to make some much needed upgrades this week. But, Caleb and Gawn and maybe Danger are messing that up. Keeping Gawn and Danger, but need to trade Daniel to field 22. Not the end of the world. Then Baker was dropped, and Hately may be and Cripps is still out. So I have to find a way to cover a hole in the Mids and forward, plus if possible the ruck. Also, I hope move towards full premium, and maybe even having backups somewhere!

Def: LLoyf, Williams, Laird, Johannisen, Hore Logue (Answerth, Naish)

Mids: McRae, Cripps, Yeo, Neale, Oliver, Bont, Walsh, D Clarke (Hately O. Baker, Scott)

    Ruck: Grundy, Gawn, Bines

Fwd: Dunkley, Danger, Kelly, Daniel, Heeny, Cameron (Young Gardner)

Bank is, somehow, $654,800. 8 Trades.
Daniel has to go. Gawn should be covered. Danger cover would be nice but not sure it is possible. And rather cover Gawn the Danger if that is the choice.

And yes, somehow not managing to spend all that cash is mad, but injuries kept happening, and not ones I was willing/able to hold, other than Cripps. Well, and Williams a ways ago.

While I do have a cunning plan, I would love to hear thoughts and suggestions.

    Thanks lots!

    1. I’m in a very similar pickle Father. Against my better judgement, I’m planning to swing Heeney into the mids to cover M8 (Baker), bring J. Cameron onto the fwd bench, downgrade Young to Chol, play Chol at F6 and pray to the SC Almighty that Danger is playing!!

Any other suggestions are MOST welcome!

      1. Unfortunately there’s no way around a zero or two this week, but here’s what i would do:
Get rid of one of Hately Baker or Scott (my vote would be Scott), then move Answerth to your midfield and he’ll play this week saving you a zero in the midfield. Bring in Shannon Hurn. You then will have a much better looking back line and have Logue on the bench as cover.
Then i was thinking you could pull something off if you bring in Lycett for Daniel, but unfortunately I don’t think that will help, because if Gawn is out then you’d swap Lycett for Bines but you’ll then have a doughnut in your forward line. So my advice would be to get Daniel out to the best forward you can, which would be Boak.

Tough situation, but just try to get your team right for SC finals

    2. Trade O.Baker and swap the vacancy with Answerth, then swap the vacancy again with Gardner, and trade in Chol. Then trade Daniel to Lycett. By my calculations no donuts (unless Danger doesn’t play).

Next week Hore for Hurn, and Walsh for Kelly.

      1. That’s the first move I’d make. Am thinking along the same lines.
Am (not) happy to cop a donut, and will if it means sticking to my trade strategy. Less pain in the long-run.

Scored 2447 last week with 40-odd from Max. Have a stronger team this week, so it won’t be woeful. Not ideal. But not terrible either.

Good luck whatever you decide FD et al 🙂

      2. That’s what I am going with. Thanks everyone for the input!

Hoping I can indeed make next weeks planned trades next week. They were this week’s planned trades…

  38. Thoughts on Hill (GWS) as a downgrade for Bewley or Baker? Worth the risk and cash gen? Giants playing the final game of the round makes it difficult.

    TU: Yes
    TD: No

  39. I think your cunning plan involves Lycett (or Westoff if you’re feeling lucky) for Daniel so you can swing him and Bines around to cover Gawn and/or Danger.

Then have the cash to simply upgrade a mid rookie (albeit prematurely) to whomever you please.

  40. TU Baker out
    TD Hayes out

the extra 30k for Baker out helps me next week to finally upgrade Brodie Smith as i’m very tight with cash, Other bloke on bench is Bewley. Will be getting in Cameron as a floating dpp and cover for Cripps this week.

  41. OUT: Walsh ($444,000)

    IN: O’Meara ($429,700)

    TU: Good trade for M8
TD: No, trade for a better mid in the coming weeks

FYI, current mids are J.Kelly, Fyfe, Cripps, Neale, Coniglio, Bontempelli, Treloar, Walsh (Setterfield, Bewley, Stocker)

  42. Z Clarke. No 1 Ruck for 6 weeks?

Bring in for Parker via Bines & make 80k.
Covers Gawn this week. (Vs Swans with No Ruck)
Potential to also make decent cash over the 6 weeks.
Only issue leaves no cover on fwd bench. (If Danger is a late out still cop a 0)

    TU: Sound thinking
TD: It’s Z Clarke, back to the drawing board!

  43. I’m in a bit of a pickle. Not much money and few trades. I can trade Hore out for a Crisp or even Hartlett or hold onto him for longer and hope one of Houli or Ryan drop in price enough to pick up.

    TU: Trade Hore out now
    TD: Hold and hope

  44. G’day all you SC gurus.
I have full premium defense and Fwds, although have Smith, who I’m looking to upgrade.

    Defense bench- Logue, Answerth
    Fwd bench-Gardner, Young.

TU- Answerth to Chol via Gardner, giving me fwd cover (for now and 160k +Smith for upgrade to Hurn/Whitfield. Grab the cash now while you can, not much coming through.

TD- don’t trade, you won’t be able to afford Whitfield or Hurn anyway with 530k. Hope that your rookies fatten and another cheap rookie comes through in the near future.

  45. TU – OG Plan. Baker & Hore > Sloane & Stewart. Logue only rook left at D6 with 5 trades/no cash and cop a Gawn donut

TD – Baker & Begley > Lycett & Chol. Danger becomes my M8, Lycett F6 once Max is back. Hore & Logue only rooks left with 5 trades

    1. The Gawn issue is doing my head in. See above RE potentially bringing in ZClake.

      I like your option too.
It basically means, are you happy with Lycett ahead of an Mid Premo (Sloane / Cunnington), if it means no donut for Gawn this week. Tough call. If Ryder came back it would be such an issue for Lycett owners in future.

      1. That’s my only hesitation. I can go Begley > Clarke & Baker > Sloane instead, which leaves me with 50K less in the bank and no FWD cover, but Sloane should outscore Lycett on the run home

        1. This is the way I’m leaning but the threat of Danger being a late out is the issue with no forward cover. You think Danger plays?

          1

          1. Yep I think Danger plays. Hasn’t been too much chatter this week about it after he declared himself fit

            1. Might risk it & go for ZClarke.
Bank some coin, cover Max, still get the Mid Premo.
Any cash that Clarke can make will be a bonus. (BE -14)
              Cheers BB!

  46. TU: Young to Chol; Scott to Z Clarke (via DPP swing of Setterfield to Mid and Bines to FWD) leaves me with 5 trades left, $178k in the bank and the ability to upgrade Z Clarke via Bines swing back to Ruck (and then possibly Setterfield back to FWD). Two upgrades left to do on-field (one mid and one def)

    TD: think of something else

    1. First option leaves me $500k, 4 spots to fill with 5 trades
Second leaves me $70k, 3 spots to fill with 5 trades

      1. Lack of trades = get Ziebell. No question.

If Chol is omitted on Roo’s return, you have wasted a very valuable trade. Not worth the risk given your trade #s.

        Hope that helps. Good luck!

  47. Considering Daniel’s injury is 3-4 weeks and Chol JS uncertain, wondering what you blokes think about the following options

    A) Daniel -> Dunkley/Lycett/Heeney (leaves 211k, 266k, 367k respectively in bank)
    B) Hold Daniel and get in Chol to make money and use as cover until Daniel returns (leaves 339k in bank)

also gotta keep in mind only got 8 trades left before doing this
    cheers

  48. Caleb Daniel and Hore out for Chol and …
T/U: Treloar (412k in the bank)
    T/D: Cunnington (373k)
    Comment: Parker (313k)

Josh Kelly also an option but not feeling him as much as the other blokes
