  1. TU Hurn who’s dropped off slightly

    Or

TD save 100k and get Sicily as he’ll score similar ready of year. That saving may be one less valuable trade used.

    1. I would go Sicily, because in order for Hurn to make more sense (looking at it from a point / $ perspective), Hurn would have to outscore Sicily by a substantial margin (someone else can correct my math here, but roughly 150 points?) for that extra $95k to be worth it.

      1. Thanks Gunners. That’s pretty accurate. Moore about getting the best possible team on park. Thinking is a flip of a coin for who will score better going forward with Hurn marginally better, but the 100k i can put elswhere in my team will more than make up for it so going with Sicily… now the hardest part. Who do trade out….. hmm

        1. You want to complete your team with the best possible players, not just saving money.
Sicily vs Hurn is not even a question for me. You say Hurn has dropped off but his 3 round and 5 round averages are both 99 and his lowest score for the whole season is 85…. Sicily’s average is 96 and 3 round average is 88.

          10

          2
          1. No. You want all the bad scorers off your field. With not long to go, a small difference in averages isnt as a deal deal anymore. You just dont want the absolute spuds who will wreck you. I vote Sicily for that reason

            1

            5
            1. Depends on how many trades you have left and how many more premium spots you have to fill. Hurn averages 14 more points than Sicily every game which is not small at all.
But if you are very low on trades and still have quite a few premo spots to fill then maybe Sicily is a better pick

  2. Limited trades. Limited bank. Multiple injuries.
Need to trade Hore as i have no cover on bench in defence…
Sideways to Brodie Smith for my d6?
    TU OR TD.
Feel free to give me a Better option! Thanks

    1. Who else do you have in DEF? How much bank is ‘limited’?

I don’t feel confident with these choices, but if I had to roll the dice, maybe:

Tuohy – can score well, hasn’t for several games throughout the year
Saad – low ceiling (3 scores in 40s-50s) but 2 of those were rounds 3-4
Aliir – alternating between good / bad scores at random.

      3

      2
    2. Crows have a good 4 week run; at Suns, Ess home, at Carl, StK home (wk 1 SC finals).
then at WCE (SC semis), Coll home (prelim), at Dogs (SC GF)

      2

      0
    3. Jack SILVAGNI, CAR, and has DPP. Playing run with role in the MID seince Teague put him on Fyfe two weeks ago. Scored 60 in a half and over 100 last week. Has a BE of -16 and should give you c.90/week and some significant cash to play with.

Ballsy move, but might just pay 😉

Good luck if you decide to go with it. Don’t blame me if it doesn’t work out, but I may catch that ship too.

      5

      3
      1. UPDATE: with Cripps back, Silvagni may well return to his mean (named at HF flank). Maybe not such a good idea!

  3. 7 trades, 210k in bank, ranked around 400. All premos except logue at d6. Was originally planning to hold for a week then get Whitfield in for Logue. However, Jeremy Cameron is straight up not giving me a good time.

Am I able to afford a luxury trade with 7 trades left?

    T/U
    Jeremy Cameron -> Marshall
    Leaves 5k in the bank
(will have to at least wait 2 more rounds before I can bring in Whitfield)

    T/D
    Hold this round and then next week;
    Setterfield/clarke -> rookie
    Logue -> whitfield
    (look to upgrading cameron afterwards)

    22

    23
      1. and he scores heaps better when Whitfield plays. I’d be holding him if I had him. No doubt.

        4

  4. Current situation, have duursma only to upgrade at d6.
430k to spend undless ,Only 4 trades remaining, playing for overall.

Tu; 1 Down, 1 Up; Leaves me with 2 trades (Premo 600k defender)

Td; Only upgrade Duurmsa (430k for a defender)

    Feedback appreciated !!

    6

    14
    1. Hold. Duursma is still scoring ok (not great). You’ll need those trades for the final few rounds carnage.

      7

      0
  5. My current backline is Lloyd, Williams, Hurn, Ryan, Laird, Smith, Logue and Gardiner.

My plan was to go Smith to Whitfield after Whitfield has played one game and drops in price leaving Logue as D7 – TU

I am now contemplating Logue to Sicily, leaving Smith as D7 – TD

Only have 4 trades left, the remaining 3 are for injuries.

    Which way to go?

    Thanks

    3

    14
    1. I’d just loophole Logue and Smith through Gardner until the carnage hits. You’ll need those four trades.

Yeah, Sicily scored well last week, but has only ONCE scored over 120 all year before that, and was only averaging high 90s before being shifted forward. I appreciate that he represents value, but everyone jumping on him seems such a knee-jerk response. Clarko also stated in the presser after last week’s game that he may still spend time FWD depending on the fixture and match-ups. I doubt he will, but it was said/alluded to.

I’m not sold. Chasing points Rule#101

      1

      7
      1. Thanks for the feedback AS, much appreciated.

Not sure it’s necessarily chasing points as Sicily has largely been regarded as a Top 6 defender all year and right now represents great value.

My lack of trades is certainly problematic and the most sensible thing would be to do as you have suggested and just loophole Logue and Smith and hope one of them scores 85+ each week.

That being said if Whitfield comes out with successive 120’s it will be hard to pass up on him 🙂

  6. G’day Coaches !

    For last mid spot:
    Worpel to..
    TU Bont
    TD Oliver
playing for League & good $$$$$ currently 2nd
    Thanx All !

    25

    16
  7. considering their prices next week going off projections…
    TU Bont around 590k
    TD Duncan/Zerrett under 500k..
Will be my final upgrade in mids, and still have one to go in the forward line so money saved would be handy, but not critical…and playing purely for leagues

    12

    11
  8. I have 6 trades left and performing well overall and in leagues.

I only need to upgrade my D6 (Wilkie) to Sicily to get full premo with Logue at D7. I only have 30k so can’t afford the upgrade without a downgrade OR thinking I can afford to injury trade out J Kelly if it is a 3+ week injury.

TU: OUT: Kelly, Wilkie IN: Sicily, Bont/Sloane 4 trades, $5k/$25k left
TD: OUT: Bewley, Wilkie IN: Sicily, K.Dunkley 4 trades, $100k left

    15

    7
  9. Hold Smith or Upgrade him to Sicily currently, have 4 trades left before confirmation of Kelly’s injury

    3

    3
  10. Double downgrade this week – Baker and Bewley to Dunkley and Cameron.

Opens up the DPP swing with the forward line, sets me up with enough cash to upgrade Begley to any forward I want (either Dunkley, Marshall or Lycett, is my current thinking) and move Darcy Moore to bench cover.

Lloyd, Hurn, Laird, Williams, Crisp, Smith (Logue, Gardner)
Neale, Macrae, Kelly, Cripps, Fyfe, Bont, Crouch, Oliver (Hately, Cameron, Dunkley)
    Grundy, Gawn (Bines)
Dangerfield, Boak, Kelly, Heeney, Gray, ***** (Moore, Young)

Will be left with three trades for LTIs, and the ability to effectively cover a short term injury on any line with Darcy Moore (will probably loophole him with Smith down back otherwise).

Any thoughts on whether the inherent risk of Lycett is offset enough by his DPP, or if Marshall or Dunkley is the better pick. Shame about Marshall’s forward-only status – reckon he may end up with FWD/RUC status next year and be one of the more popular starting players.

    4
    1. Oooh – alternative option.

      Quantity vs. Quality.

Could do Jeremy Cameron instead up forward, and then upgrade Hately to a midfielder around $440k. There’s a few decent options around that mark. Would mean Moore can cover the forward and back lines, and someone like Murphy, Cotchin, Wines, Mundy, Worpel, Curnow or Steele could come in as M9 cover.

TU: One of Dunkley/Marshall/Lycett on-field, Hately on the bench.
TD: Jeremy Cameron on-field, one of Murphy/Cotchin/Wines/Mundy/Worpel etc. on the bench.

      8

      2
      1. Hey Blue balls,I was thinking Jack Silvangi but I see you already have Gardner as a Moore swing.Risky, but maybe look at Westhoff as your ruck cover for GG. You might save a trade there and he is due to revert back to the mean. Could be a good loophole option as well. You could pay more for Lycett and have the Hoff finding form and taking points off him.

  11. TU
    M.Parker>Hanrahan
    TD
    Do Nothing

If TU would leave me with 4 trades, 236k to upgrade 1 def 2mid. My other rookies are logue, d.clarke, hately, naish and bewley

    9

    2
  12. 6 trades left. 2 trades this week to replace/upgrade Hore. Then 2 more for my final D6 upgrade (Logue). Leaves 2 injury trades and no more cash generation.

Wanting either Hurn or Stewart this week. Thinking that Hurn has slowed down and Stewart scoring about the same. Maybe better to save cash on Stewart now and ensure have enough for Whitfield in a couple of weeks.

T/U Hurn now + maybe Whitfield
    T/D Stewart + definitely Whitfield

    2

    1. Bringing in Sicily this week.

Which is the better player to leave as coverage in defence?
      T/u Answerth
      T/d Logue

      3

      19
      1. This will give me a backline of Lloyd, Hurn, Crisp, Johannisen, B Smith, Sicily and either Answerth/Logue on the bench.

        Thanks in advance coaches 🙂

  13. M Parker -> Sicily (via Gardiner)
    Stack -> Neale

Yes/No? Should I hold Stack for another week?

    16

    2
    1. I’d likely hold Stack, but it depends how many trades you have left and how many MID spots you have to fill.

      1

      1
  14. Full premo with Andrews D6, Heeney M8 and Cameron F6. 6 trades and $133k left, I should be holding for now rather than trying to upgrade any of the above 3 yes? Chol Clarke and Logue as cover.

    2

    0
    1. No harm in upgrading Cameron, Thomas. Tough run coming up for GWS, can see him throwing up some bum scores.

      0

      4
  15. Kelly being out throws me in a pickle. Eyeing off a cash league as my main goal from here (overall rank is around 5k currently) and if I trade him will only have 2 trades left once full premo. Not trading him I’ll get there with 3 trades but miss out on his scores the next 3 weeks which will affect my finals position.

T/U – Ride it out with Kelly on the bench. That extra trade is worth it!
T/D – Trade him to Bont. Have 630k in the bank and 4 trades left with two more spots until full premo

    1

    21
  16. What to do this week?! Will do the other thing next week. 5 trades left and only one upgrade till full premo.

T/U – Fill last mid spot with either bont or oliver

    Or

T/D – Upgrade cameron to walters or heeney

    12

    0
  17. Current rank has climbed to my season high to 1829.
Have 7 trades so a little bit of room to move but need some help from SCT community.
Have Hore to trade out , J Kelly to trade out
    And Eventually Rob.
Thinking of actually keeping Hore this week and loop holing one of Logue or Milera ( Will hold Milera this week with hope of bouncing back vs Gold Coast)
Will keep Rob another week and potentially upgrade to Gawn next week.
Can go J Kelly to one of Sloane , Treloar or Bontempelli but thinking of something outside box in moving one of my forwards to mids trading in Westhoff ( ruck cover and can loop hole Gardner to Chol or Westhoff and building war chest next week for Whitfield or Gawn only requiring 1 more trade
    T/u Kelly to Westhoff
T/d Kelly to One of Bont, Treloar or Sloane

    5

    16
    1. Am actually going back to Steele. Priced at an 86 ave. And typically comes home strongly. Will give me vital $$s to use on my last 4 trades. Upgrades and sideways only from here!

Good luck whatever you decide PBuzz 🙂

      2

      2
    1. Can it wait? Both will be cheaper next week and I’m no longer keen on Cunnington. He’s likely one bonehead move away from a trip to the Tribunal!

      0

      2
  18. Rozee & Walsh…adios amigos. Which combo to bring in

    T/U Sicily & Bont
    T/D Hurn & Heeney

    31

    3
  19. Ok.. so bit of a left of field idea for Kelly (out for 3 weeks).

I have Dylan Clarke who i assume will play. Not sure who to get for him but i like Cunnington, Bont and Oliver out of the big hitters i don’t have. I’m thinkingif i put Clarke as emergency and he scores say 75 or over i won’t trade and see how this injury unfolds and maybe get Cunnington who is dropping next week ot even hold Kelly for only 2 more weeks. Can use the same loophole or trade idea next week with Bombers posing Friday night. If he scores bad i need to choose between Oliver and Bont who have games on Sunday….

    Thoughts on idea? Also…

    TU Bont (115avg @ 570k)

    TD Oliver (110 avg @ 575k)

    17

    4
  20. 9 trades left
    $37,600 left in the bank
2 on field rookies left to upgrade (D.Clarke & Logue)
Already holding Daniel (Setters on field as cover)

What would you do in my shoes?

    TU – Hold Josh Kelly
    TD – Trade Josh Kelly

    0

    26
      1. You stand to lose roughly 80 points for the season by going jpk over an uber prem. If you are happy with that then yeah he is good

        0

        1
  21. Hawthron fans is Hanrahan taking away Hendersons midfield time?
Last two games henderson has had his lowest disposal counts for the year and if this is to continue may have to trade him this week before he plummets even more in value

    0

    5
    1. Trade. Hopefully the cash gained from downgrading kelly a little will be enough for you to upgrade on of those rookies too. After that i would hold and hope

      1

  22. HI
    Josh Kelly – Sloane
    And
    Hore – Hurn
    OR
    Josh Kelly – Sloane
    And
Steph Martin – Gawn, Which will mean id field either Duursma or Answerth in place of Hore for this week. Also id assume Gawn will drop in price with a BE of 212 then again.
    11 trades left

  23. I need help!!

    My current team is:
Williams, Lloyd, Hurn, Laird, Ryan, Logue (Naish, Gardner)
Macrae, Kelly, Fyfe, Cripps, Cogs, Neale, Crouch, Hind (Clarke, Bewley, Scott)
    Grundy, Gawn (Bines)
Danger, Dunkley Boak, Walters, Kelly, Heeney (Setterfield, Young)

I have $151k in the bank, and 7 trades.

    My question is:

TU: Do I hold Jelly or
    TD: Do I trade him?

    0

    9
    1. I’d trade BOTH Kelly and Clarke out and get yourself the best composite two MID premos you can for your money. Gets you full premo in your MIDs.
Next week Hind to KDunkley and Logue to a premo. Job done. 3 left.

      1

      0
      1. I’m considering downgrading someone to Hanrahan and then bringing in Sicily/Whitfield/another mid next week to finalise one of those lines

        0

        0
  24. Thoughts on Ben Cunnington ???

Looking to bring him in for Kelly, however noticed he still has to face the likes of D.Clark, Howe, Hutchings & possibly harmes who all could tag him?

    Current mids;
Macrae, Parker, Neale, Cripps, Oliver, Fyfe, B.Crouch & Kelly (Trading out)

Should I be looking elsewhere? Feedback appreciated.

    1

      1. Thoughts on swinging Dunkley in the midfield & bringing in Lycett?
Will Ryder come back into the side this season?

        Tu; Lycett in

        Td; No go

        2

        11
        1. Dont think lycett will keep scoring like a top midfielder so my answer is no. If you think he will keep averaging 115+ then maybe

          0

          0
    1. Best option is to try and afford a decent F7 to loophole. Midpricers with a high ceiling are the go here

      1

      0
  25. Trading out kelly

    TU: Bont
    TD: Sloane

Can you run with bont and macrae in the same team?

    8

    2
  26. Two upgrades to go – one in defence and one mid. Assuming Hanrahan gets named is it worth trading him in to afford an upgrade to a premium this week?

    T/U: YES
    T/D: NO

    7

    1
  27. 9 trades and & $122k, my midfield is Macrae, Fyfe, Cripps, Cogs, Treloar, B Crouch, Stack and Clarke. Am thinking of going Stack to Sloane but also thinking of holding because Stack should still go up in price and I’m going for league wins and have a guaranteed win this week. So:

    T/up – Trade in Sloane

T/down – Hold and save the trades

    5

    7
    1. IMO, I think with limited weeks left in the regular season it’s time to pull the trigger. Stack doesn’t have too much more money to make

      0

      0
      1. G’day John, i reckon if you 100% only care about your league then you might as well hold the trade, Stack will go up roughly 15k with a breakeven of 57, and you’ll still have 6 weeks to spend your 9 trades which will be very hand come SuperCoach finals!

        3

        0
      2. Yes, I agree Hynsi but the only reason I’m considering not trading in Sloane is because it gives me an extra week to look at how Sloane goes and makes sure that if injuries do occur, that I have trades left to ensure I’m covered.

        3

        0
  28. ROB —> Hanrahan is locked

Which of the following is more important this week

    Burgess —> Sicily
    or
    J Kelly —> Parker/Bont/Sloane

If I don’t get Sicily I could get Whitfield next week

    2

    9
    1. Oh should probably point out my current team after first trade

DEF – Lloyd, Hurn, Stewart, Ryan, Williams & Logue (Gardener & Burgess)
MID – Neale, Fyfe, Cripps, McRae, Oliver,J Kelly, M Crouch, Stack (Clarke, Bewley & Scott)
RUCK – Gawn & Grundy (Bines)
FWD – Dangerfield, T Kelly, Dunkley, Boak, Marshall, Heeney (Hanrahan & Young)

      1

      0
      1. Probably going to do the exact same trade – need Bont/Parker/Sloane/JPK/Shuey even? To cover Kelly’s score

        – Personally I’m going with Bont but I’m a stickler for averages.

        3

        0
        1. Yeah I actually think it’s out of Bont Sloane or Parker now & think waiting a week to get Sicily or Whitfield is the way to go

          2

          1
  29. TU – Lockhart-Stewart
    TD – OBaker-Weller

TU provides the better averaging premium but TD creates a DEF/MID link that could be very handy as trades dry up.

    3

    6
  30. 5 trades left – 450k in the bank
I’ve only got one rookie left on the field which is Logue, but i can get Oskar Baker out and move Answerth to my midfield bench and bring in Whitfield in to complete my team. Should i do this now or wait for Whitfield’s price to drop a bit?
I’ll then have 4 trades left, 120k in the bank and decent bench cover in all positions besides ruck.
    However it’s probably worth noting I am more focused on winning my league than overall ranking. So;

    T/U – Get Whitfield now
T/D – Wait for his price to go down/to be sure he’s the best defender option

    2

    15
    1. I guess it then depends on whether you need to with us week? If you don’t need to or you’re gonna win anyway, then I’d wait. If you need to win you can put the E on Logue and if he delivers, HOLD this week. If he doesn’t, the way the fixtures fall, you ll be able to make the trade then. All play a fair bit after Logue 😉

      2

      0
  31. Have 5 trades and $168k in bank with Logue being my last upgrade. I am playing overall. Should I:

TU: Trade O baker to k Dunkley this week and upgrade Logue to Hurn (leaving me 3 trades for the last 6 weeks and $43k itb)

TD: Hold this week. In 1-2 weeks time when Logue has goe up in price and Whitfield has dropped. Trade O baker to rook and trade Logue to Whitfield. (leaving me 3 trades and roughly $100k itb with 4-5 rounds left.)

    5

    4
    1. Gun and permanently in the MIDs now. Might be your last chance before he’s too expenssive.

      5

      0
  32. currently holding C.Daniel
    seriously considering also holding J.Kelly
(if there isn’t too much carnage when the teams drop)

as my rank is fairly high I’m starting to turn my attention to my main cash league.
    Sitting 4th on the ladder,
and 2 of the next 3 games are fairly winnable even without those 2.

I still care about rank don’t think I can climb too much more from where I am.

am I crazy? for holding them both?

    4

    0
    1. I’d hold if you’re playing for league and feel confident you can win next 2 without them. I don’t have either but I held Whitfield as I’m playing for main cash league and managed to win 4/5 and he wouldn’t have made a difference in the one I lost. Best decision I made all year. If you can get by without trading them then do it. They will be great PODs in the finals when everyone else has no trades left to get them back.

      0

      0
    1. Nah, Stuart. Kelly plays on the outside, gets the supply from the inside MIDs and then uses it well. Coniglio won’t benefit from his absence.

      0

  33. Good downgrade targets for ROB?

I traded J Kelly out for Sloane today – haven’t traded ROB yet as want to be as sure as possible that Gawn is playing (Grundy is other ruc).

8 trades left and 767k itb but still need to upgrade 2 defs, 2 mid and 1 fwd for full premo.

Playing league and sitting 11th (equal 8th but behind on %) so desperately need the points over the next few weeks to get to finals.

I’ve somehow found myself with enough money but not much time :/

    Team below

    J Lloyd, R. Laird, L Ryan, B Houli, B Smith, J Clark (logue, naish)

Macrae, Neale, Bont, Sloane, omeara, brayshaw, settefield, Clarke (hately, o baker, bewley)

    Grundy, gawn, (rob)

Danger, boak, t Kelly, heeney, worpel, chol ( r young, gardner)

Thanks is guys love this thread and appreciate all the help throughout this season!

    1. I shouldn’t focus on r3 should I… plenty of cash don’t worry about rob losing a bit upgrade where I need it first…

      6

      0
    2. I’d let ROB go one more week and do the following:
      – Baker to Mid Premo of choice (probably Fyfe)
      – Clark out, swing Gardner to Def, swing Setterfield to Fwd, bring in another premo mid (could also look to Dunkley who you can then always swing forward later)

That completes your mids, Gives you no def cover this week but next week you can downgrade ROB to Bines and upgrade Gardner/Naish and keep Logue as D7. Then the following week look to upgrade Chol/Setterfield and complete your forwards (I’d probably keep Worpel and Smith considering the few trades you’d have left now)

  34. I currently have no cover on
    my backline bench.(Naish, Gardner)
    with Logue at D6 .
    So I’m considering bringing in
Jack Silvagni to open a fwd/Def
    swing.
    The trade would be:
D Clarke > Silvagni via Setterfield
that would open a mid/fwd swing
also. Then in a couple weeks
upgrade Logue to Whitfield to go
    full premo.
I would have 6 trades left and 40k
    with this trade.

    Tu: yes go for it.
    Td: have a rethink.

    6

    3
  35. 8 Trades left, only $5k in the bank, 3 upgrades left 2 defenders and currently running ROB at R2 (never had Gawn), playing for league. Don’t own Hurn or Lloyd (held Whitfield).

Thinking of downgrading ROB to Westhoff to bank 130k, like Westhoff back in his role of last year with Dixon back. Means I might not ever be able to get Gawn but I might be able to reach both Hurn and Lloyd.

    Worth the trade?

    0

    3
    1. Prioritize Gawn.
Westy can be a f6 potentially but I would take the risk of expecting him to match Gawn.

Have you got Sicily? If not get him.
And prioritize Loyd over Hurn ultimately. Currently though you can wait a week or too on Loyd at the BE

      3

      0
      1. My starting backs are Sicily, Whitfield, Laird, Crisp, Logue and Answerth with Burgess and Gardner unfortunately my cover. Obviously turning Logue and Answerth into Hurn and Lloyd is a priority.

Not sure getting all 3 of Hurn, Lloyd and Gawn will be possible given trades, money and current rookies I own. The cash I get from ROB to Hoff would almost assure me I’d be able to get Hurn and Lloyd though.

        1

        0
        1. Do would wait on Answorth. Coming off an 80. Has a low BE and looks to be improving.
If you want hurn, this week is probably it. Likewise Hoff.
Then just hope the Hoff has a good run or try for Gawn down the track when he may be cheaper anyway and Hoff will be going up

          2

          0
          1. Yeah won’t be trading Answerth for a couple weeks. Unfortunately no way of getting Hurn this week, Spent all my coin trading Bewley to Sloane last week to complete my mids.

Think I’ll reasses after teams are announced tonight

            1

  36. Hi all

    I currently have J Kelly.

    I have 8 trades and 400k.
I am option 1 of trading Kelly out, swinging heeney into mid, then getting Marshal upfront.

After I’ll have 300k, 6 trades and Logue at D8 and Darcy Moore st F6 as my only remaining upgrades.

Alternatively option 2 I trade Kelly to Bont and make 40k. I will.be then running with Macrae dunk and bont. And will still only have logue and darcy Moore as last remaining upgrades.

    TU – option 1
    TD Option 2

Comment: im dillusional and there is a better option!

    2

    3
    1. Personally leaning towards getting Marshall for league purposes. I have Greene instead of your Moore and will look to trade him back into Premo mid once I can sort out who I want out of Bont/Merrett/Kelly (when back). Also have 9 trades but 100k less.

I am also considering holding though and just figuring out double trade to get Marshall in for Greene.

I have two Def spots for Hurn and Whitfield.

      1

      0
      1. It’s a tough one. I might wait and watch how.marshall goes against cats and just be prepared to pay 620 plus in a few weeks. Moore will go up if he can continue to score. As to will green

        1

        0
        1. Disagree. If you’re gonna get Marshall, do so this week. He is going to smash the Cats’ ruck department, and then English the week after.

          1

          1
            1. Im going with Jelly to Marshall via Heeney and bringing in Sicily for setters via Moore.

Next trade will be Logue to Whitfield followed by either Boak or a premo midfielder. Will be left with 3 trades for finals.

If I make the GF of my league…GWS play gold coast in round 23. Maybe need Kelly back by then!

              0
  37. Okay so I’m not going for overall anymore, as I’ve dropped back into the 5000’s and am purely playing for league wins now. Before this round I had 3 trades left, and am likely going to hold on to J. Kelly. At the moment I’m trading D. Clarke and R. Young out for Sicily and Kyle Dunkley, which gives me essentially a complete team:

DEF – Lloyd, Hurn, Stewart, Ryan, Hurley, Sicily, E – Logue, Naish

MID – Macrae, J. Kelly, Cripps, Coniglio, Neale, Sloane, M. Crouch, Ablett
    E – Rowbottom, K. Dunkley, Hayden

    RUCK – Grundie, Gawn, E – Bines

FWD – Dangerfield, J. Dunkley, Boak, T. Kelly, Heeney, Mundy, E – Chol, Gardner

My question is, am I crazy for holding J. Kelly if I only care about my leagues? I’m comfortably on top in both the leagues I’m in, and my thought is that Kelly could become a massive POD come the SC finals.

TU – Smart decision given league focus and lack of trades.
TD – Silly, should trade Kelly to a premo MID of FWD.

    3

    1
    1. Worth noting is that if all of Chol, Dunkley and Rowbottom (who’s been really good since coming back for Sydney) are dropped, I’ll be forced to have to trade Kelly anyway, which is somewhat of a possibility.

      0

      1
      1. Chol will play for a few weeks more due to form, Balta’s injury, and tigers liking the versitlity of having two ruck options

        1

        1
    2. Smart since you only care about finals.
However it is confusing why you are so eager to upgrade underpriced rookies if league is all your care about. Save the trades and go bang come finals

      3

      0
      1. Really I just wanna jump on Sicily while he’s at his basement price. Could realistically wait on Whitfield too.

        0

        0
  38. Not sure what to do, only 3 trades left and a dodgy team as a result of injuries.
    Team is:
DEF: Lloyd, Hurn, Laird, Ryan, Houli, Logue (Answerth, Naish)
MIDS: Macrae, Fyfe, Cripps, Neale, Bont, Zerrett, Stack, Clarke (Hind, Hayes, Scott)
FWDS: Danger, Marshall, Dunkley, Boak, T.Kelly, J. Cameron (Chol, Young)

    180k in the bank
Option 1: Logue to Sicily this week (miss out on Whitfield), and later 1up1down Clarke and Hind for a premo mid.

Option 2: Wait for rookies to price rise, then downgrade Logue, leaving 400k in the bank to upgrade to Whitfield in a few weaks, and maybe a cheap M7/8, (Shiel/R.Henderson?)

I am royally screwed, so would appreciate the help a lot 🙂

    2

    1. You know you are in trouble.

You will have to keep logue and maybe stack.

I would hold off on trades until you can upgrade to a midfield premium. With time and luck you may be able to do more upgrades. This is best for your team because using trades now will most likely leave you with a gun premium down somewhere and no trades to get rid of him.

Other option is cheap PODs. Lots of midpricers to take a punt on. Have a play around

      0

      0
  39. 6trades left. Full premo with Smith back and Worpel fwd.

No fwd cover. Hoping to trade Smith to Hurn or Whitfield.

Have Logue, Answerth, Hately and Clarke all fattening up.

Contemplating a near straight swap of Logue to Silvagni for fwd/def cover/loophole. Can swing with Gardner.

TU- do it! Silvagni is cheap and playing a friendly SC role now. Good for 90-100.

TD- too risky, not proven, save the precious trade.

    Cheers!

  40. 7 trades left.. 120k itb

    Team atm:
    Lloyd,Laird,Sicily,Williams,Hurn, Logue
    Answerth,Gardiner

    Fyfe,Cripps,Oliver,Macrae, Bont,Jelly,Coniglio
    Clarke.
    Hind, Hately,Setters.

    Gawn, Grundy. Bines

    Lycett, Danger, Boak, Heeney, Dunkley,Telly
    Chol, Young

    Thinking 2 options:

    TU: Jelly/ Setterfield > MCrouch/ Merrett
    Lose mid ddp

    TD: Jelly/ Setterfield > MCrouch/ Ziebel
    Swing Danger into mids.

Any other thoughts would be appreciated .

Before Jelly injury Original plan was to go Setters/Clarke> KDunkley/ Neale which is another option and Hold Jelly.

Final intended upgrade was Logue/ Whitfield
But in SuperCoach nothing ever goes to plan!

    1. Wait a week on merrett…he will.be a steal next week.
Trade jelly to Neale and then setters to merrett next week . Leave fwd as is

Put Answorth in the d6 and make that final upgrade to whitfield

      2

  41. Is Rowbottom a worthy Fwd/Mid swing for those that don’t have one?
At only $198K, scores of 70 and 99 in his last 2 outings. With 21 and 24 possessions and a total of 11 tackles has his TOG improved or is he getting more midfield time?
    Would enjoy your thoughts?

    3

    1
  42. who trade in this week? i’m slightly concerned off whitfield’s output coming back from injury.

    TU: Hurn (leaves $43k itb)
    TD: Whitfield ($11k itb)

    7
  43. Trade to logue to hugh goddard or quanor I feel like quanor job security isn’t good at collingwood and marchbank out for year really helps goddard out

  44. Alright so 5 Trades left, 13k in the bank
Almost have a full team other than logue in d6 and brayshaw in m8 (not sure if he counts as a premium)

    Here is what i’m thinking..

    TU:
    D Clarke > K Dunkley
    Logue > Hurley or Newman

    Or

    TD:
    D Clarke > K Dunkley
    Brayshaw > Marshall
    (Move danger to mid)

Would love to get marshall but it leaves me with only 3 trades and not much cash to try and get my last defender.

    0

    4
  45. Last mid spot Sloane or Parker (Sloane will save me some more cash to bring Whitfield in to finish my side next week)

    TU: Sloane
    TD: Parker

    7

    8
  46. thinking….

    Burgess ($189,300) > Birchall($205,200)

will cost me $15,900, but gives me cover for Logue who I’ll move to the bench this week (incase he gets back into the team next week or so) and I get rid of dead weight in Burgess.

I know il be burning a trade but after this trade and also trading Jelly > Bont I’m left with 7 trades and $65,100 in the bank.

once Daniel is back then setters goes on bench for cover and my FWD in complete.

Have D.Carke (onfield) or Hately (bench) to upgrade in MID to complete. Other with become cover on bench.

and can can bring in Whitfield for Logue, with Birchall as cover on the bench in DEF.

    Am I crazy???

    TU – YES
    TD – NO

  47. Could be going insane here but should I…
T/U – Go Jelly to Hoff (Via TKelly) + Logue to Sicily/Ryan to avoid a donut

T/D – Stick to my initial plans of Jelly to JPK and Logue to Whitfield next week

    This bloody game…

  48. Jelly has to go. Best option?

    T/U
    Jelly – Bont/Oliver
    Witherden – Crisp/Ryan

    Witherden – Hurn

  49. Gents I’m in tears, Logue out has put a dent in my plans.

    Fresh trades:
    Kelly > Oliver
    Hore > Sicily

  50. Seems to be continuing carnage with Louge out after Baker, Garner, Naish, Baker, Young etc admittedly some like Naish a risk with JS. So I have 11 trades and timing my run (with some luck) for league finals. I didnt want a completed team too early and now have 8 trades to use to get ready.
    Team
D Hurn Z Williams Houli Hartlett B Smith Logue Garner Naish
M Macrae Dunkley Martin Cripps Oliver Treloar B Crouch Stack Clarke Bewley Stocker
    R Gawn Grundy OBrien
F Dangerfield Heeney Boak Kelly Moore Cameron Choi Young

    11 trades 403 800 in the bank

    Thumbs Up
Logue and Stack for Sicily and Neale leaving 108 k for next week.
Then next week Obrien and Garner out for Bines and Lloyd.

    Thumbs Down
Logue and Obrien for Sicily and Bines
Then Garner and Stack for Lloyd and Stack.

I guess it all depends on the break evens but with Logue out I’m copping a donut and need a league win.

    Thoughts please.

  51. Trading Burgess.
    who to?

    TU – Birchall
    TD – Quaynor

will play on field this week and Logue on bench until I can afford my final upgrade (hopefully next week).

  52. Tu; Treloar

    Td; Sloane

    Feeback appreciated;
Bit worries about Sloane getting tagged over the next few weeks??? Help please.

  53. 5 trades left.

TU: Josh Kelly to Bont & Logue to Goddard or Quaynor
TD: Josh Kelly to Bont & hold Logue (cop a donut)

    3

    3
    1. Look at the injuries that enabled Quaynor to come in, they’re pretty short term.

Marchbank is out for the season and Goddard should slot nicely into that spot for the rest of the year.

  54. Need to trade out Hore.

    T/U Rampe
    T/D Sheppard

6 trades left and 303k in the bank.
Already have Williams, Lloyd Hurn, Laird.

Will require a second trade to avoid a doughnut but the above trade will dictate how much cash i have left.
Others are Logue, L Young, M Hinge.

    Logue to Sicily
J Kelly to Marshall via heeney to mid.

Leaves me with setters on field this week and will upgrade him to Boak or zerrett next week. Will then have Darcy Moore and possibly toby green to upgrade

  58. Alright fellas, I’m in a pickle…

I have J Kelly, who I want to trade to the Bont.

I have Logue as my D6 with no coverage (Naish and Gardner). And Sicily is ripe (and I can afford to go Logue to Sicily).

I want to bring in Hanrahan as Fwd coverage, and to free up cash, and so I can swing our Setterfield next week.

    Which 2 should I prioritise?

    0

    1. Leave Hanrahan, there are a couple of new forwards debuting this week so there should be options in coming weeks. Stengle and Hill.
