  1. Thinking
    D Moore to Dunkley
Duursma to Quaynor (if he is named)

Would leave me with 3 trades left, 40k in the bank and this team:

Willams, Lloyd, Hurn, Ryan, Smith, Milera (Quaynor, Logue)
Macrae, Fyfe, Cripps, Neale, Bontempelli, B Crouch, M Crouch, Merrett (Clarke, Ross, Bewley)
    Grundy, Gawn (Bines)
Dunkley, Marshall, Dangerfield, Boak, Kelly, Gray (Corbett, Young)

    1. How much cash do you have? If possible, I’d try and move out one of Corbett or Young and still get Dunkley, pushing Gray to the bench. That way you have coverage on all lines (Assuming Logue comes back, which he should).

      1. My team before trades is:

Marshall, Dangerfield, Boak, Kelly, Gray, Moore (Corbett, Young)

So since Moore is injured, was going to trade him out. Gray would be my F6. I only have 76k in the bank and 5 trades, so I need to use another trade to get some cash to upgrade to someone like Dunkley.

  2. Thoughts on J. Rowbottom as a cheap mid?
99 and 93 past two games, BE -35 and only 260k.

Only considering him as my last two mid upgrades have to come from D.Clarke, Bewley, Hanrahan. I have 3 trades and not much cash. So probably looking for cheap risky players

  3. 5 trades left before these:

    Coniglio to Sloan
Answerth to Kyle Dunkley (free up cash)

    T/U – Yes
    T/D – No

    1. Hey mate, what does your midfield look like at the moment? There may be better options than Sloane.

        1. I’d go Bont. Less chance of a tag with Macrae and Dunks playing amazingly right now. There was another thread where someone brought up Sloanes run home and the fact he’ll be facing a strong tagger in most games for the remainder of the season.

          4

          2
  4. I’m thinking Toby Greene as my last premo spot in the team. I have 500k and my options are either Toby or R Gray. I’m leaning towards Toby as I believe with Kelly out for 2+ weeks and Cogs for the season he will have extended midfield minutes, if not play solely in the middle with Ian Hill in the team.

    That being said –

    TU – Toby Greene

    TD – Robbie Gray

    1. Wait for teams. If Greene looks like playing MID, maybe get him. But if Gray looks like playing MID without Wines, he has to be the better/safer option

  5. Was looking to trade our Moore. Was also holding Kelly as i only have 6 trades with one rookie upgrade still. Just saw Kelly still out 3 weeks. Bloody GWS!
    TU rage trade
    TD patiently hold for finals

    1. I have to disagree with GD I’m afraid. I’d trade him.

I held him last week (but only cos I didn’t get home in time to pull the trigger). He can become any MID I don’t have and Moore can become Crisp. That’ll be an ace. 70pts/week onfield until he’s back. Not trading him also means I can’t quite get Crisp.

Knowing GWS it’ll be at least 3 weeks or 210pts. Unless he scores 300 against GC in Rd23 there is no way holding him can make me better off. If he’s out for longer, it’ll make things work, and put GWS on my never again list until HULC is gone!! Not worth the pain or lack of enjoyment.

I also have one less trade than you! Do what your gut tells you FS and good luck!

      1. Thanks guys. As i still have one more mid upgrade to make and have B.Crouch and B.Smith that would be nice to trade up later i was keeping Kelly. Was looking good to make finals in at least 2/3 cash leagues. That was when it was 3 wks and back for finals. Now they’re saying 3 weeks still, but players like Greene were on radio saying 1-2. Bloody GWS. Can’t trust them but will be kicking mysrlf if he plays sooner

        1. GWS football director also said he’ll be on “either side” of 3 weeks, potentially 2 or 4. F*ckers lol.

          1. Really? Not helpful GWS. But are we really surprised. Looking like holding him at this stage. Really hope he doesn’t burn me

  6. 6 trades left

TU: Cameron and Clark to J Dunkley and I hill
Then next week 2 trades to bring in L Ryan and donut.
    Will leave me with Logue a D7, Chol at F7 and Bewley & Hill M9 & M10
2 trades for injuries plus mid /fwd dpp swings

TD: Bewley – Mid donut (Owies dpp)
Then next week Clarke and young via Gardner to L Ryan & Hill
Will leave me with Logue D7, Chol f7 Setters and hill at M9, M10.
    Cameron at F6
    3 trades left

    Both options full premo

  7. Getting Whitfield this week. I always planned to trade Smith, but Andrews is pissing me off. Should never have traded him in. So who should I dump?

    TD Andrews

  8. Def
Lloyd, Hurn, Crisp, Sicily, Andrews, Logue.

    Fwd
Danger, Marshall, T Kelly, Boak, Worpel, Heeney.
    Young, Hayden.

    2 trades left.
    459,700k in the bank.
8th in my $ league. Need to make finals
Will be making both trades. & hoping…
    What are your thoughts !?
    Thanks !

    1. Out: B Scott, C Burgess
      In: T Hawkins, L Ryan

Pushes G Logue to the bench and grabbing Hawkins allows you to sit him at F6 and switch Worpel or Heeney to the mids so you avoid having to play D Clarke, etc.

        1. Hi Adam.

Hadn’t voted but my guess on responses.

Looks as if 30k or so short for these trades?

Also says in your comment that it avoids playing D clarke but Kelly injured for 3 weeks.

          1. Thanks.

He has sufficient cash to execute both trades as he will have 23,100 left. Good pickup on Kelly as I didn’t notice that.

    2. If it were me I’d go
      Clarke > Zach Merrett and
      Logue > Tom Stewart,
not a great situation to be in with minimal trades and no bench cover but i think if you want the best ‘points on field’ outcome then this is the way to go. Close your eyes and hope to heck you have no injuries. Good Luck!

    3. Id move burgess to birchall. Ideally you’ll get to loop him with logue and scott to merrett or duncan. Loop D Clarke and dunkley until Kelly returns.

  9. Hey all,

I currently have a full team (that includes D6 Brodie Smith and F6/7 Jeremy Cameron / Jack Darling) with 5 trades remaining, sitting just inside the top 2k.

I have a bit of decision to make this week…

The original plan was to upgrade to Brodie Smith > Lachie Whitfield next week (hopefully if funds permit in one trade), however after seeing Dunkley’s monster 202 last week and Whitfield racking it up at will against my Tiges (before copping a knock) I am considering a more aggressive move.
This would entail moving Zac Williams > Lachie Whitfield & Brad Crouch > Josh Dunkley this week.

What do you guys think of this more aggressive approach, still leaving me with 3 injury trades?

    Cheers

    1. Don’t like the option of trading Williams and if possible could you post your team to help us provide alternative recommendations.

      5

      1. Hi Adam,

        Here is my team:

DEF: Williams, J.Lloyd, Hurn, Sicily, H. Andrews, B. Smith, (Logue, Gardner)

MID: Macrae, Fyfe, Cripps, Neale, Oliver, Sloane, M.Crouch, B.Crouch, (D. Clarke, Bewley, M. Owies)

        RUC: Grundy, Gawn, (Bines)

FWD: Dangerfield, Lycett, T. Kelly, Heeney, R. Gray, J. Cameron, (J. Darling, R. Young)

As for the Williams trade, I have heard ALLSAINTS mentioning how he scores with and without Williams in the team and I feel like I am loosing points each without Dunkley. Additionally, I am also looking to target Whitfield because he has a huge ceiling when fit and is shaping up to be a slight POD after his injuries.

        Thanks in advance

        1

            1. Wouldn’t bother trading Williams as your D5-D6 could be weaker than most teams and Williams scoring isn’t an issue that warrants a trade.

              An option could be:
              Out: G Logue, B Bewley
              In: L Ryan, K Dunkley
Roughly 50,000 left and 3 trades and allows H Andrews and B Smith to be looped at D6.

Or if you want to get J Dunkley
              Out: B Crouch, B Bewley
              In: J Dunkley, I Hill
Roughly 85,000 left, 3 trades and the inclusion of I Hill and J Dunkley creates 2 fwd/mid dpp links. Then the week after you could trade D Clarke and G Logue to a rookie and L Whitfield.

This allows you to get both Dunkley and Whitfield with your remaining trades without sacrificing the likes of Williams.

              1. Thanks very much for the advice, will consider both options strongly. 🙂

As for the second option which I really like, how do we feel about leaving 1 trade for injuries even despite having 2 extra premos in FWD & DEF lines and having DPP swing to cover MIDS? Because if you were to have 2+ injuries, you could potentially have a lot of money left lying on your bench?

  10. Good luck to neale getting a free kick after diving numerous times otw, also dont think gws will be rushing kelly back early.
Worst year ever for me but i will be rooting for our hammer mate and the pies for the flag.

    10

    5
    1. The other option was T Greene who I’m pretty confident is going to ave 105 for the run home more injury I’m worried about, that would leave 90k extra in the back.

      3

      2
  11. Will Eggmolesse-Smith hold his spot for the season?

T/U: No. Injured Tigers coming back.
T/D: Yes. He’s done enough for best 22.

  12. Current team:
D: Whitfield, Lloyd, Hurn, Laird, Crisp, Ryan (Logue, Gardner)
M: Macrae, Fyfe, Cripps, Neale, JPK, BCrouch, Taranto, Brayshaw* (Clarke, Bewley, Hayes)
    R: Gawn, Grundy (Sweet)
F: Marshall, Danger, Boak, Kelly, Heeney, Greene (Begley, Corbett)

    6 trades and $143k bank.
Current rank 581 and trying to finish as high as possible.
Brayshaw is a definite out this week.
Can go to anyone from Sloane down in one trade (currently leaning towards Duncan, Merrett, Hunter, Murphy, Pendlebury or Yeo).
Really want Dunkley in my team but the only way to get him in is with 2 trades (eg Brayshaw and Hayes out, Dunkley and Dunkley/Hill in).

T/U – 1 trade (save trades for carnage on run home)
T/D – Dunkley (is 4 trades enough to get me home?)

    0

    11
    1. 4 trades will be fine and whilst Dunkley is extremely expensive, he’s just about the only top echelon premium for this season you’re missing and selecting him will be instrumental in a rankings surge due to possessing a very solid side.

An option for future trades could be Begley or Corbett to Hawkins which should cost roughly 100,000 to 120,000.

    2. Hey, Stewy.

Good to see you’re still up there in the rankings. Think Yeo and Dunkley would be great additions to your team, both in good form and have juicy runs home. 4 trades will be plenty. After this week’s trades, I’ll only have 1!

  13. Hey guys, what’s my best move here?

6 trades remaining and 271k in the bank
Only interested in cash league. Currently leading with 2 rounds and finals to go

    Def
Lloyd, laird, ryan, Sicily, d moore, Smith
    (Answorth, gardiner)

    Mid
Macrae, fyfe, cripps, Neale, Sloane, oliver b crouch, heeney
    (Hately, clarke, scott)

    Ruck
    Gawn, Grundy
    (Clarke)

    Fwd
Marshall, Kelly, danger, dunkley, greene, chol
    (Setterfield, young)

I have 420k in the bank and 8 trades.

Trade D Clarke to K dunkley
And turn setters into Sicily via D Moore?

Will leave 443k and 6 trades with possibly 3 upgrades to go…(greene if he doesn’t fire, chol, logue)

  14. 3 trades left & 1 spot from full premo

TU: Hately to Kyle Dunkley & Chol to Whitfield (via DPP)
TD: Hold trades and cop a donut in the backline

    8

    1. Wait for teams. Hately may be named and Dunkley may not.

Depends on your situation and goals? 1 trade left at this stage can be very painful, believe me. I think it was this week last year that Sicily did his scaphoid and sent on my DEF bench for the rest of the year 🙁

      1

      0
  15. 4 trades left and Cogs has to go – what do you Supercoaches think of Cogs to Taranto? …good POD but with Cogs/Jelly out he could be a tag target – MID’s are :

Macrae, Cripps, Neale, Oliver, Zerrett, Fyfe and Sloane with Hind Hately Bewely bench.

Can afford Bont, Parker, Duncan etc

    T/U : Taranto
T/D : one of the others

    1

    5
    1. I would avoid Bont now knowing he has ligament damage would think that he will spend more time forward. He will score well some weeks but could throw in a 70 in the run home which could be costly.

What do you think about Zerrett?

      1

      1
  16. Not yet full premo. Have B Smith at D6, Mrouch at M8, and Setters at F6. Thoughts on what I should do next? 9 trades left with $107k in the bank

      1. Thanks mate – here you go:

        DEF:
Williams, Lloyd, Hurn, Laird, Ryan, Smith
        (Logue, Answerth)

        MID:
Macrae, Fyfe, Cripps, Neale, Bont, Oliver, Sloane, Mrouch
        (Clarke, Baker, Hind)

        RUC:
        Grundy, Gawn
        (Bines)

        FWD:
Dunkley, Danger, Boak, Kelly, Heeney, Setterfield
        (Corbett, Young)

        0

        0
        1. O Baker to I Hill/K Dunkley should leave you with approximately 230,000 to 240,000.

This could be used to trade Logue to 1 of T Stewart/J Sicily/ J Crisp to allow B Smith and ? to be looped at D6.

Or you could trade Corbett to 1 of J Cameron/T Hawkins/C Wingard pushing W Setterfield to the bench allowing him to cover the fwds and mids.

          2

          0
          1. What do you think about Answerth > Birchall, and Smith > Whitfield this week?

Could potentially allow me to go Setters > Marshall the week after (with another rookie downgrade)

            0

            0
  17. So i already have I.Hill but nextweek im planning to trade out D.Clarke and chol so i have a full pre mid who is best rookie to go for bench cover

Considering to Wait a week before trading in Whitfield for D Moore

Before downgrading hately to cheapie and upgrading setters to Boak for the finals

    1

    0
    1. You could bring Boak in this week by trading
      Out: J Hately, B Scott
In: K Dunkley, T Boak (via W Setterfield)

This moves W Setterfield to the mid bench and pushes Chol off the ground.

      An alternative could be:
      Out: D Moore, J Hately
      In: L Whitfield/S Hurn, T Hawkins

      4

      0
    2. You are so low on trades that you need to maximise cash in order to maximise upgrades.

I would be looking at using 1 trade this week to move Chol out (he will be dropped when Nankervis is back so better off keeping Setterfield as cover), Heeney forward and Merrett into the mids at his bargain price under 500K. You could then cash in Clarke for Dunkley to fund your Moore upgrade. This should provide the cash to get Whitfield when he bottoms out next week.

You may wish to alter the guys you trade out, but I think Merrett and Dunkley in this week is the way to go and Whitfield next week at his best price.

Leaves 2 trades remaining for the run home.

      2

  19. Who to trade in for Cogs? I have 7 trades and $102.3k in the bank. My midfield is Macrae, Fyfe, Cripps, Neale, Treloar, Cogs, B Crouch and Clarke. Was thinking of trading Cogs to one of these two:

T/up – Luke Parker (I realise his BE is high but he’s been extremely consistent)

    T/down – Clayton Oliver

    Comment: any other mid suggestion

    6
      1. Yeo is a good option, JPK has been in and out through injury so not 100% sold on him although he has been good and with Zerrett he can’t really handle a tag. I’m going for league wins so I also need PODs. Thanks for the suggestions 🙂

        3

  20. T/U Trade stack to a premo with only hately cover in the midfield

T/D Use an extra trade to generate cash and upgrade hately – keep stack as cover

    Currently sitting on 7 trades

    7
  21. I now need to bring in my final forward. It’s between Walters and Marshall, but I’ll have to wait another week for money to do marshall.

TU: Bring in Walters this week
TD: Wait a week for Marshall

    15
    1. He’s not gonna score 140~ every week, but Teague has been playing him as the +1 down back. Conducive role to SC scoring. I’d back him in for 100 average from here.

  22. Seems It’s crunch time..

I would love some help with this please.

    I have 6 trades and $58 500 banked.

    Current team is..

Williams, Lloyd, Hurn, Sicily, Andrews, B Smith.
    logue / Moore*

Macrae, Cripps, Neale, Oliver, Treloar, Sloane, M crouch, Brayshaw*
    Clarke, Hatley, Bewley.

    Gawn, Grundy.. Bines.

Dunkley, Danger, T Kelly, Heeney, R Gray, Westhoff.
    Burgess, Gardener.

Moore* is now out with a hammy, and the Brayshaw* experiment didn’t work out.

I’m pretty happy with Moore to I Hill via Burgess. ( I will look to move him into the mids at some stage.)

This leaves me with 5 trades and $330K

    Now to deal with Brayshaw.

    T/U Merrett and $245 900.

    T/D Fyfe and $137 300.

Getting in Merrett means I can probably afford Whitfield next week allowing me to loop Andrews and Smith at D6/7.

Getting Fyfe means my Defence stays as it is, and I get Hawkins ( high BE) to loop with Westhoff at F6/7.

Please comment if you see another option..

    Thanks in advance. 🙂

    1. An option for your remaining trades could be:

      Out: D Moore, G Logue
In: L Whitfield, I Hill (via R Gardner)

      Then:
      Out: C Burgess, B Bewley
      In: T Hawkins, ?

      Lastly:
      Out: D Clarke, J Hately
      In: D Mundy/S Menegola, ?

Allows you to loop H Andrews and B Smith at D6 whilst providing cover, T Hawkins and J Westhoff to loop at F6 providing cover for the rucks, fwds and mids (push I Hill to mids eventually) and A Brayshaw to loop with D Mundy at M8 and if a fwd/mid is situated at F8 provides cover for the fwds and mids.

      1. Thanks Adam.

I’m pretty keen to move Brayshaw on now before he loses any more cash.

Viney and Harmes seem to have taken his inside mid spot, I think its best to move him on while he still has some value.

Depending on selection to guys like logue / Bewley / Hatley,I will be seriously considering Hawkins, Birchall and Menegola over the next few weeks.

I also want to keep a trade or two for finals, cover is great but, being able to replace a injured premo is better in my book.

Thanks again and good luck for the rest of your season.

        3

        0
        1. Thanks. Main reasoning for promoting the premium/mid-priced cover is the potential possibility of the selected player to replace the injured player also suffering an injury. Whilst the possibility would be low and you would have to be extremely unlucky for it to eventuate it would help cover multiple injuries at once.

          2

          0
          1. Thanks Adam I do get the thought process.

I just feel someone like Clarke has a 3 round average equal to Brayshaw so will provide similar cover whilst still increasing in value if I need to trade him at some stage.

Where as Brayshaw is losing value and could be turned into true premo while I still have a chance.

I’m really not into trading out fit players at this stage of the season. I just feel with Brayshaw’s current role, its better to bite the bullet now while he still has some value.

As I said before. I will be targeting some mid priced cover over the next few weeks as a healthy D7 / M9 / F7 is invaluable over the last few weeks of the season.

            Thanks again for your suggestions.

            1. Another thought process is replace Brayshaw with T Greene via dpp.
Considering this myself as i persevered with him also. Gives another week to assess the likes of the Moore > Hill trade and future upgrades

    $80,600 with three trades left.

I know I’m running low on trades but I’m happy to run the gauntlet with a relatively injury free side.

Obvious move would be cash out on ROB and DPP bines to R3 and get Bobby Hill etc. as F7. I’m getting serious FOMO for not having J Dunkley and feel like I just need to get him for OBaker or something along those lines. Leaves me with one trade but I’m going double or nothing. Any other moves I’m not seeing?

    Cheers and thanks for feedback

    1. An option for your remaining trades could be

      Out: R O’Brien, O Baker, J Hately
      In: I Hill, Z Merrett, D Mundy/S Menegola

Pushes D Clarke to the bench, opens up a fwd/mid link and allows J Cameron and whichever fwd/mid is selected to loop at F6.

  27. HI SCT community,
    Current Team is:

DEF: Williams, Lloyd, Hurn, Rich, Bachar, Sicily (Logue, Answerth)
MID: Macrae, Fyfe, Cripps, Neale, Oliver, Shuey, Sloane, Cunnington (Clarke, Hately, Bewley)
    RUC: Gawn, Grundy (Bines)
FWD: Dunkley, Danger, Boak, Kelly, Heeney, Setterfield (Young, Gardner)

7 Trades left and $133k in the bank, about 1500 ranked… playing for both high rank and cash leagues, i have a couple of questions.

    1. Who is my best option at F6 under $550k? Am i CRAZY for thinking Toby Greene?
    2. I don’t really like having no cover in the FWD line, do i go a week early on Ian Hill if he is named?
    3. What would you do?

    My initial trade thoughts are:
    Bewley > K Dunkley
    Setterfield > Walters/Ziebell/Gray/Greene
THIS WOULD LEAVE ME, FULL PREMO WITH 5 TRADES LEFT

    or i could go
    Setterfield > Greene
MAKING THE 1 TRADE WOULD LEAVE ME FULL PREMO (KINDA) WITH 6 TRADES LEFT…

    Thumbs up: the two trades
    Thumbs down: the one

Thank you for reading, leave thoughts and opinions PLEASE community!

    1. With so many unknown variables around team selections this week, it is almost impossible to give informed opinions. Need to wait for who’s IN/OUT and for who, to assess what’s NEEDED and likely ROLES of potential targets (eg Greene).

I know that’s not very helpful, but on a positive note, you have position, trades and cash on your side 😉

I’d copy and paste the above post on Friday morning … you should get a lot more constructive feedback! Good luck.

  31. Have enough $ to trade up ROB to Gawn but concerned that with only 5 trades remaining and Moore going to Whitfield whether I wait another week.

  33. Is Macrae the best midfield option for Coniglio?
I’ve got Fyfe Neale Cripps Sloane Cunnington B Crouch and Rockliff at the moment, so other options include:
Treloar, Parker, Duncan, Zerrett, Yeo, Shuey, Gaff, Oliver, Taranto, Bontempelli.

Playing only for a cash league so I only care about their last 4 match ups.

T/U – Macrae, can’t look past his average
T/D – Pick one of the others with a soft run home
Comment whoever you think is the best pick

  34. So learned community – having completely missed my trading window last week (and forgetting that to move out ROB I had to move Bines on the Friday night!! – I was ‘doing the right thing’, waiting for the players to be named in their matches – DUH!!) , could I get some thoughts on the best possible trade options please:
Basically I’m looking at ROB and Logue out and my options are:
    Whitfield and Mundy
    Mundy and Stewart
    Ryan and Heeney

what does everyone think is the best / strongest / safest option of these three and why?

I will be left with Smith and D7 with one of those defenders as D6
Mundy or Heeney swinging between M and F with Setters …

    Thanks in advance!!

      1. Sure Adam … I think you are in leagues with me so can also see it?
Def: Lloyd, Hurn, Laird, Williams, Sicily, Smith, Logue
Mid: Macrae, Kelly, Fyfe, Cripps, Neale, Oliver, Merrett, Setters
        Ruck: Gawn, Grundy
Fwd: Dunk, Danger, Boak, Kelly, Gray, Worpel

The above options are the best I can get to … so it has to be one of those three … there are possibly lesser valued players that may or may not fit …

        1

        0
          1. no value in my bench – Logue is best value for funds – and trading in a defender gives me cover there and loop options with Smith.
Setters has to stay as provides me with coverage across Fwds and mids … if I lose one of the rucks, I’m in trouble!

  35. I’m spending way too much time than his healthy this week fretting over what to do with cogs!
Have 8 trades and $31,800. Sitting first in my league, but same points as about 4 others. Was initially going for Sloane, but now got scared of due to potential taggers, then thought Bont – ankle has me concerned now though. Left field is using a fwd/mid to trade in Marshall. To get Bont or Marshall I’d need to trade in either Quaynor or Dunkley (melb) – happy to do that though. Could get anyone else with just the one trade.
    Treloar, zerrett, taranto ahhhhh.

See team below, any thoughts would be much appreciated. Cheers!

    1. Hey, Nigel.

You’ve got way too much cash sitting on your DEF bench. If he isn’t named tonight, I’d go Logue -> Quaynor and Hore -> I. Hill (via Gardner DPP). Even if Logue is named I’d still probably make those moves actually.

Then you’ll have a whopping 582k to play with next week and you can go Answerth -> Whitfield/Hurn and Brayshaw -> any MID premo. After which you’ve got a full premo team, 2 trades and a decent amount of cash left for injury cover or a last round luxury trade.

  37. 5 trades left $175 itb
Laird, Lloyd, Sicily, Ryan, Andrews, Williams (logue, Naish)
Cripps, Neale, macrae, fyfe, Merrett, crouch, Oliver, heeney (hately, Clarke, Baker)
    Gawn, Grundy (nuff)
Danger, Dunkley, Cameron, gray, kelly, Marshall (Chol, Young)

Used 1 trade of Coniglio to Merrett. Don’t see the need to make too many other changes at this stage. Looking to upgrade logue next week, then a 1 up 1 down for Boak the week after. Should leave me with decent cover and 2 trades left for emergencies.

      1. Thanks GD – any advice on upgrade for logue? It’ll probably be dependent on $$$ in the bank for Boak.

        1. You already have 6 premos DEF line, Thomas. So assuming you mean a downgrade option. Quaynor will be your best bet.

    1. Hey, Harley.

Don’t just grab a POD for the sake of them having low ownership. You want a POD who, yes is low in ownership and under the radar, but can actually make you competitive. Think there are better options than the ones you initially put up, here are a few you should consider (in no particular order):

      1) Luke Parker: 3.7% ownership, #9 MID atm, found form, good run home

      2) Josh P. Kennedy: 1.9% ownership, on the cheaper side, won’t get tagged anymore, solid average when you take out the injury affected scores

      3) Elliot Yeo: 4.2% ownership, tag-free run home, played great last week, big ceiling

      4) Dayne Zorko: 2.8% ownership, taggers go to Neale, Lions in great form, 3 round average of 124

Note: Omitted Duncan because, while he’s cheap, he has a super low floor; has put up a 50 and 3 scores in the 80s. Also omitted Taranto because his big scores have mostly come when GWS’ pound teams, don’t think that’s gonna happen anymore.

  38. T/U – Bewley > KDunkley + Dahlhaus > Zerret (Keeping Clarke on the bench for better cover + a bit more cash generation)

T/D – Clarke > Hill + Dahlhaus > Yeo (Only Hill and Hind for bench cover w/ $29k itb)

    0

    0
    1. Either way, no Dahlhaus.

Although I’d recommend you try and find the cash for a reliable option, if you HAVE to go for a FWD below 400k I’d go at De Goey (40% MID time last week) or Hawkins (soft run home, will bounce back) instead.

  39. So I’m not sure what to do with my team from here, my team as as follows;
Z Williams, Lloyd, Hurn, Crisp, Sicily (Logue, Burgess)
Macrae, Fyfe, Cripps, Neale, Bont, Oliver, Cunnington, M Crouch (D Clarke, Hately, Hayes)
    Grundy, Gawn (Bines)
Dunkley, Marshall, Danger, Lycett, T Kelly, Worpel (Young, Gardner)
Have 6 trades and 50k in the bank. Anyone have any advice? I want to get rid of Cunnington as he’s had a shocker 3 of his last 4 games but was shouted down in a recent thread for even suggesting it. Worpel is doing ok but probaly the one I should try to upgrade.
Thoughts open to everything at the moment.

    1. Stand by telling you not to trade Cunnington, Carl.

Didn’t “shout you down”, just told you that he’d been tagged hard. Gonna go off vs the Lions this week, scored 159 last time he played em’. Higgins back in soon should ease the tag. Don’t worry.

    2. It’s fair to be annoyed a player posts some low scores, but suggesting you held a player because ‘you were shouted down for wanting to trade’ is kinda lame. It’s your choice to keep or trade. I use SCtalk to gauge opinion, not to make my decision. I’ve got full respect for all contributors on here, regardless whether I agree with them or not. I ask for help and suggestions, not answers.

  40. 6 trades left and fuck all money in the bank.

I have no idea what to do with Cogs this week. Current mids are Macrae, Fyfe, Cripps, Neale, Oliver, Cogs, M Crouch, D Clarke. (Setters, Bewley, B Scott).

Was thinking the obvious choice being Bont but I’m not sure about his ankle and could be a late out. Should I avoid the trade? I could bring in Zerrett instead which means that I wouldn’t need to pull a 2nd trade being Scott > Dunkley (if named) or Hill.

Really keen to gauge everybody’s thoughts! Full premo in forward line and holding B Smith at D6. Cheers!

  41. Trading Hately, but can’t decide who too

K.Dunkly is the obvious choice, rock bottom price and has played his 2 games.

But I.Hill is awfully tempting, purely for his DPP status. But has only played one game and is slightly more expensive.

Can’t help but think that the DPP will come in handy come finals, especially with Setters still up FWD.

    TU – Dunkly
    TD – Hill

    1. Am i crazy for thinking:
      Fyfe > Merrett
      Answerth > Walters (via Gardner)

Walters to see more midfield time with Fyfe out? Don’t trust Fyfe coming back anytime soon with that elbow and Freo beginning to fall out of finals.

      1. An option you could do & I looked I’m pretty sure you have the cash to do it would be

        Answerth —> Hawkins

This allows you to loop setters & hawk for F6/7. Hawkins has a softer draw in the run home & is too good a player not to kick a few bags coming home.

  44. Need your thoughts community
DEF: Lloyd, Williams, Stewart, Laird, Sicily, B Smith (Logue, Gardner)
MID: Neale, Macrae, Fyfe, Cripps, Bontempelli, Oliver, Walsh, D Clarke, (Hind, O Baker, Bewley)
    Ruck: Grundy, Gawn, (Bines)
FWD: Dangerfield, Dunkley, T Kelly, Billings, Heeney, L Baker, (Setterfield, Hanrahan)
I was thinking of downgrading O Baker and Bewley to K Dunkley and Hill creating a M/F link then upgrading Clarke and L Baker next week. Baker and Bewley are both named and will most likely make a bit more money so not sure if I should wait or not. Fyfe being out creates an annoying problem this week. I’m playing for the cash league and my opponent is faily weaker.

TU: Downgrade one of the two and bring in Hill so I can swing Setterfield to mids this week -likely to score more than Hind
TD: Do the double downgrade now in order to do a double upgrade next week

    1. An option for some of your remaining trades could be:

      RD18:
      Out: L Baker, O Baker
      In: T Hawkins, I Hill
      7 trades and 330,000 left

T Hawkins at F6 with W Setterfield able to replace Fyfe this week due to utilising the fwd/mid link via I Hill.

      RD19:
      Out: N Hind/B Bewley
      In: Z Merrett
      6 trades and 40,000 to 60,000 left.

      RD20:
      Out: N Hind/B Bewley, S Walsh

    T/up – Yes, good trades

T/down – No, different midfielder or hold Answerth

  47. My predicament is:

TU: Do I trade Hind for Quaynor, giving me def coverage, allowing me next week to then go Setterfield and Clarke out for a 550k mid and Hill?

Current forwards are: Dangerfield, T.Kelly, Heeney, Walters, Dunkley and Boak

  50. Treloar – majority of his remaining games are at MCG, where his scoring has not been outstanding this year. also Adams return may impact his scoring. playing for a team that will be fighting for top 4.
JPK – unlikely to score 140+, but has been very consistent 100-120 aside from his injured games this year. playing for a team that will miss finals.

    Who to pick?

    TU: Treloar
