  1. Had Goldy all year and he’s been brilliant the last few weeks. Can now sideways him for Gawn.

    TU: Do it.

    TD: Stick fat with Goldy.

      1. Yeah, I have 7 trades left. I’m going to do it. Most opponents have Gawn and he could sink you by going huge one week of the finals. Goldy has been great but he’s currently at his ceiling. I don’t see him out scoring Gawn for the rest of the year.

        7

        1
  2. Logue>Whitfield
    Chol>Marshall

I know some of you are concerned about Marshall’s previous effort against Maxy, but I’m backing him in. Lycett is the only other option for me.

    1. Massive respect on your position mate.

Time to look at inidivdial fixtures. Think Ryan could have a big finish and nearly (should) have picked him over Crisp.

I didn’t . Back in who you’ve got, and spending on trades and cash, get yourself a leftifeld DEF if you can I use the loop.

I’m so disappointed I didn’t go Hunter CLARK this week.
Sheep behaviour (herd mentality) will get you nowhere! 😉

  3. Hately (if not named again) > Ian Hill
    Sicily > Whitfield

Sick of Sicily inconsistency, Whitfield will be handy in finals.

      1. Not really concerned anywhere else, full premo. Could possibly go Heeney to Marshall but expecting him to struggle against Gawn next week.

        3

        5
  4. Hurn becoming unrealiable going down the stretch and with little cover is it worth side trading him to someone like a Whitfield to ensure the points every week?

    2

    13
    1. Hurn played 4 more games than Whitfield this year. Don’t think Whitfield is the man to break boomer Harvey’s games record

      12

      1
  5. Trading in H. McLean would allow me to bring in Whitfield, complete the team and save 1 future trade.

Any Swans fans rate McLean’s job security?

    TU: should hold his spot
    TD: nope

    4

    13
  6. Just Logue to Whitfield for me this week finally full premo with a Heeney the weakest link @ F6.

Hope Fyfe gets up this week

    12

    1
  7. TU: D.Clarke + Burgess —> Premo mid (Treloar?) + rookie (4 trades remaining)
    TD: Sicily/Smith —> Whitfield (5 trades remaining)

    15

  8. want to go Logue > Whitfield this week to finish my defence but am short $6,300.

Could go go Setterfield > Whitfield (Via DPP) but will leave me with 0 cover up forward and I feel that’s too risky lately with all the injuries.

Happy to go Bewley down to a rookie and Logue > Whitfield, but can’t seem to find the right rookie this week. (already have I.Hill)

    Any suggestions?

    1. I’m looking at the same move. Setterfield > H. McLean would free up the cash, but not sure if McLean holds his spot for the Swans.

      4

      2
  9. I got Hind on the bench and clarke on the field im planning to trade Hind out for Treloar and bench clarke

    TU: yes trade Hind

    TD:No hold Hind for cash

    33

    2
  10. Need to look at team line ups and hope for no late outs like this week with Hurn.
Like Duncan’s form and if Fyfe out again can go Clarke to Duncan although Clarke quite good bench cover.
If All premium mids named tempted to go Logue to Ryan and utilise loop hole with Milera or Sicily.

    T/u Clarke to Duncan
    T/d Logue to Ryan

  11. Clever me ,I bought in lachie hunter to cover cogs, needed 50 from him to win main league , anyway 41 huge points didn’t cut it . Have to move someone to finish def, might piss him off via dpp and get in someone who can get a possession.
Probably change my mind but at the moment lachie is on the shit list.

    4

    5
  12. 4 trades left Takawiz King + 204,000
    Rob 2 nd Ruck
    Milera no 6 defender/ 7 Logue
    T Kelly no 8 mid / 9 Clarke/ 10 Bewley
    R/Gray no 6 forward / Chol 7/ Hanrahran 8
Not much room for error with 5 rounds remaining

    4

    1
    1. No problem with Sicily -> Whitfield. If you’re going to get rid of Crouch I’d get him to any of the top 9 MIDs that you don’t own, rather than Zerrett.

      1

      4
  13. Must be Strong side Chris.
Can you trade a couple bench players instead to rookie and upgrade to give you back up .

    4

    1
    1. Not really. I have cover on my benches but not an awful lot of cash – $67k in the bank and benches are:
      Logue, Gardner
      Clarke, Hately, Bewley
      Bines
      Chol, Young

      Weakest players on each line:
      Sicily
      B & M Crouch
      R Gray

      2

      1
  14. Last trade, held Cogs this week but I think I will chop him and run the gauntlet home. Undefeated in league and 1400 overall.
Best two on 5 round av that I don’t have.
TU – Lyons (risk of a bad game but looking pretty solid, POD)
    TD – Treloar

    6

    15
  15. Will be trading out either Answerth or Logue, the other will remain at D7, with Burgess at D8. Want reliable bench cover so which one to keep
    TU: Hold Answerth, trade Logue
    TD: Hold Logue, trade Answerth
A perfect world would have me keep both and trade Burgess but need the cash to finish my mids

    17

    4
    1. Answerth has the best JS, in my opinion. Fagan rates him and he played well over the weekend. Logue has been dropped before, probably won’t happen again but still indicates that Answerth’s spot is safer.

      4

      1
  16. Was planning to go Brodie Smith > Whitfield for my last upgrade spot but Smith is in some great form now and playing through the midfield.

    TU: Hold on Smith
    TD: Trade to Whitfield now

    27

    8
    1. Are you full premo otherwise?

Either way, Smith is not gonna kick 3 goals every week and he before Friday he hadn’t tonned up since R7. His highest score this week is close to what Whitfield’s average will be from here on out. Against an elite Collingwood midfield outfit Whitfield still threw up a casual 119. A must have.

      4

      1
  17. Going for league and one game clear on top.8 trades 525 900 in the bank. Looking at final mid premo and defender so I can loop Hartlett and B Smith with Naish. ( or dump Hartlett) Then depends on Hurn I’ll look at flexible cover maybe Wingard best cheap m/f and J Kennedy F.

    Team

D Hurn Z Williams Crisp Hartlett B Smith Siciky Garner Naish
M Macrae Dunkley Martin Cripps Oliver Parker M Crouch Stack Clarke Bewley Stocker
    R Gawn Grundy Bines
F Dangerfield Heeney Boak Kelly Moore Cameron Choi Young

Thumbs Up Moore for Z Merret with Dunkley to forwards and Garner to Whitfield
Then next week baker and Chol out for Wingard and Josh Kennedy. 4 trades left

Thumbs down Option 1 Moore for Duncan with Dunkley to forwards and Garner to Whitfield

Then hold Clarke as mid cover and Chol for F cover. 6 trades left

    Thoughts please.

    3

    8
  18. Out: Logue and Setterfield
    In: Whitfield and Ian Hill
Means 4 trades remaining, push Harris Andrews to D7

    Yay or nay?

    25

    1
  19. Last Mid spot.

    Already have:
    Macrae,Fyfe,Neale,Oliver,Bont,Cripps,M.Crouch

    TU – Parker
    TD – Treloar

  20. Currently ranked in the top 50,
Copped a donut last week with Hurn but still managed to move up in the rankings. If he misses this week, should I trade to Whtifield to avoid a 0 ?
Only 2 trades remaining, however I feel like its a risk I must take in order to have any chance.

Tu; Trade Hurn (If he misses)

    Td; Hold Hurn

    14

    2
    1. Im wondering the same. Ranked top 100 with 3 trades left. If hurn misses, i will go to whitfield, but if not im still thinking of using two trades to get b smith to whitfield, leaving me with only 1 (oh god)

      1

      1
  21. O Baker -> I Hill
    Logue -> Whitfield

Leaves me with 3 trades, $50k.
    Sicily D6, Andrews D7, Heeney M8, Clarke M9 and Gray F6, Chol F7

Will use two trades in the next two weeks to turn Chol and Hately into a rookie mid and a Premo Mid (Via Heeney DPP) Giving me cover of Gray F7 and M Crouch M9. Solid plan?

  22. Hey guys, what’s my best move here?

6 trades remaining and 271k in the bank

    Only interested in cash league.

    Def
Lloyd, laird, ryan, Sicily, d moore, Smith
    (Answorth, gardiner)

    Mid
Macrae, fyfe, cripps, Neale, Sloane, oliver b crouch, setterfield
    (Hately, clarke, scott)

    Ruck
    Gawn, Grundy
    (Clarke)

    Fwd
Marshall, Kelly, danger, dunkley, greene, heeney
    (Chol, young)

    TU
    D Moore > Whitfield
    Setterfield > I Hill

    Leaves me with B Smith D6, D Clarke M8 and Greene F6.

364k and 4 trades to get a gun mid for the finals.

    TD
    D Moore > Stewart
    Setterfield > Z Merrett

Leaves me full premo with 4 trades however without Whitfield…but could possible get him in finals anyway with a one up one down

Really appreciate the input as always guys!

    TU Will Snelling
    TD D.Langlands

  24. This trade is dependant on Hurn playing but need to win in my cash league to ensure i make the 8. 4 trades left.

Logue & Hatley Out, Zerret & Hill in.

Leaves me with Smith & Rich at D5 and D6 with Burgess as cover (bit thin there and I want Whitfield but atm leaves me no forward cover if I being him in this week), Mcrouch M8 with Clarke/Bewley/Hill as cover, Heeney F6 with Dahl as cover who can also swap with Hill as necessary.

  25. Mids I already have.
Macrae, Fyfe, Neale, Oliver, Cripps, Sloane, M Crouch, Who should I target with my last spot?

    TU Bont
TD Merret – Allows me to go Smith to Whitfield in a week or two.

    Comment other suggestions.

  26. Hi coaches, help please. 2 premo spots to fill, 1 DEF 1 MID (if Fyfe doesnt play again).

5 trades left $90k itb. Current D6 Wilke $365k; and M8 D Clarke $297k (have Fyfe on bench)

Only interest in league cash, currently top, this week playing disinterested bottom team.

TU – 1 trade to generate cash, Clarke>I Hill (even if Fyfe doesnt play) also have Bewley and Hind bench cover) leaves $270k itb. Leave DEF premo trade for next week and save a trade.

TD – 2 trades to get DEF premo in; above trade + Wilke>Whitfield. (have Answerth as DEF cover) leaves $114k itb.

Im just a bit concerned only 3 trades left for finals.
    Thanks

  27. 5 trades and $182.8k left in the bank. My midefield is Macrae, Fyfe, Cripps, Neale, Treloar, Parker, B Crouch and Clarke and my bench is Jarrod Cameron, Bewley and Hind. Got two options in mind but can’t decide which is better.

T/up – First option is to go Bewley to a non-playing rookie to gain cash and then upgrade Clarke to Duncan, and then next week downgrade someone like Hind or Cameron and get Whitfield for Logue.

    OR

T/down – Do the Whitfield trade first and next week try and get Duncan.

I’m just unsure of which trade to do this week because I may not have enough cash, but I’m leaning to getting Duncan in this week first because he has a lower BE than Whitfield. Clarke can also still make some cash.

  28. Would appreciate any feedback on what my next move should be. Just trying to win a cash league. Whitfield is my priority.

    9 trades left
    $24,800 bank

    Team:

Ryan, Lloyd, Hurn, Williams, Sicily, Smith
    (Logue, Gardener)
Cripps, Neale, Oliver, Yeo, Fyfe, macrae, mcrouch, d. Clarke (Hately, Hill, Bewley)
    Gawn, Grundy (forte)
Dunkley, Marshall, Heeney, Dangerfield, Kelly, boak (Chol, Hanrahan)

    Cheers

    1. Damn you have a great side for that many trades left. Well done. You have so many trades left you can afford to go a double downgrade. Maybe hately and chol?

Let smith make money this week then upgrade him to Whitfield and upgrade clarke to a premo mid.

That will leave full premo, 5 trades for week 2 to 4 of finals.

      3

      1
      1. Yeh mate I really want to keep smith as a back up emergency as he will get a game every week and can be my loophole. Ideally I want to trade Logue to Whitfield but need to generate some cash to do that plus need one more mid and then the team is set barring injuries etc

        0

        0
  29. Begley to Toby Greene should do me.

Lloyd, Hurn, Williams, Laird, Crisp, Smith (Logue, Gardner)
Macrae, Neale, Cripps, Kelly, Fyfe, Bont, Oliver, Crouch (Hill, Dunkley, Owies)
    Gawn, Grundy (Bines)
Dunkley, Danger, Boak, Kelly, Heeney, Gray (Greene, Young)

2 trades left in case anyone goes down hard.

Greene/Heeney/Gray will get loopholed each week depending on fixture.

Holding Kelly, Fyfe and Hurn for one more week, got a top 4 spot pretty well locked in for my cash league which is the top priority. If any of them are missing week one of finals they might get the sideways treatment, but unless there’s some major injury carnage I should be able to utilise Greene to cover anyone in the mid or forward lines.

Eyeing off Lobb as well, just for the flexibility of providing some ruck cover, but don’t think he’s got the scoring potential of Greene.

Im trading Hore > Whitfield so…

  34. Need help on which trade suits better for the long run

TU: Smith > Whitfield, leaves me with Logue as D7, Clarke and Bewley as mid cover. 3 trades and $60k left.

TD: Bewley > Hill & Logue > Whitfield, leaves me with Smith as D7, Clarke and Hill as mid cover. 2 trades left with no funds

    2

    7
  35. TU In light of Andrews being out for the week, does he become a straight trade to Whitfield?

TD Or should I stick with the below plan and have Andrews as cover from next week onward?
    O Baker -> I Hill
    Logue -> Whitfield

    1

    4
  36. Just going for league wins, and apologise for for the massively vague query, but have $207,300/7 trades/guaranteed finals(top5 in all at worst)

Def: Lloyd, Williams, Hurn, Sicily, Smith,Logue (Answerth, Quaynor)
Mid: Macrae, Fyfe, Neale, Oliver, Cripps, JPK, MCrouch, Zerrett (Setters, Clarke, Bewley)
    Ruck: Gawn, Grundy (Bines)
Fwd: Danger, Lycett, RGray, TKelly, Heeney, Greene (Chol, Young)

Team is full of budget options due to poor selections all season. Had planned to bring in Whitfield this week, then hold out on anything else as long as possible, but had a pretty shite week from my “premiums”.. Any suggestions would be appreciated big time!

    1. Good looking team, don’t stress.

I’d go Bewley -> Hill/Snelling and then Logue -> Whitfield. That will leave you with 5 trades and the option to luxury trade out guys like Smith or M. Crouch, up to you though.

      1

      0
      1. I know I shouldn’t stress. Just lost this week because I don’t have Dunkley or Marshall and can’t see a way to get them in. I’ll look into those moves though, thanks!

    1. Odd question, Rory. Depends. Are you full premo? Do you need cover in a certain line? Need cash? Eyes on a particular downgrade option?

      0

      1. Joined late so just after cash to upgrade. Will start Round 1 next year. Hately is often Emergency. Other 2 chance of being dropped do u think?

        1

        0
        1. Ah, okay. Yeah, probably offload Hately to Hill or Snelling this week. Hind should be safe for the now on the back of the bag he previously kicked and Cameron is good for at least another 3 weeks covering Cripps, if anything Petruccelle gets dropped before him.

          2

          0
    1. Looking at the type of game they play AND their fixture for the last 5, I quite like Yeo.
WCE will push very hard to finish Top2 for a home qualifying final if they’re gonna give their back-to-back chances a real shot!

      2

      0
    2. Gonna add in a very left-field POD option.

      Ed Curnow.

Since Teague took the reins he’s been back in the midfield full time. Has tonned up in 5 of 6 outings. The game he didn’t he was sent to Bontempelli to do a shut-down job, and ended up coming off early with an ankle injury. Is one of the few taggers in the game who gets plenty of the pill himself.

Racking up plenty of disposals, tends towards contested ball, good clearance numbers, high tackle count. And having spent the entire first half of the season in a forward pocket, he is cherry ripe for a big finish to the year. Endurance beast, goes all day.

  37. Really liking the look of Hunter Clarke as a pod. Have 2 trades left and feel like logue wont be a good enough D6. Saints got a nice run home also
Tu: Whitfield with no DEF cover (have hurn)
Td: Hunter Clarke with DEF cover

    2

  38. If I can’t afford Whitfield this week, is Houli a worthy alternative?

    TU: go for Houli
TD: burn an extra trade, get Whit
