  1. Wouldn’t be the only one, but no trades left as they were used to make it there. Shame they weren’t needed to be used in hindsight but have to be in it to win it!

  2. I’ll be targeting players who are playing for something
No point just picking great players against shite teams. Always a risk of being taken off the ground or self preservation kicks in, especially if the game is over and playing finals the following week

  3. Have wanted Rowan Marshall all year – using my last trade to bring him in for Mundy this week. Reckon he’ll go large against the makeshift swans ruck combo.
On a side note, i’ve finished runner up in my league 3 times, with no title yet. Bring on the weekend!

  4. Giants are playing the suns we might get some high scores coming from the main players!
    2 trade left

TU: Trade in Whitfield And J.Kelly

TD: Trade in Whitfield and Pend

    3
  5. 1 trade left with cash in the bank

    Considering either of the following
    T/U: Stewart/Laird -> Hurn
    T/D: Heeney -> Walters

    1. Do you have enough cash to upgrade a bencher to give you a loophole option rather than making a sideways trade?!

I wouldn’t trade ANY of those out. You never know …

Stewart and Laird both need to win and Walters has nothing but pride to play for … away!

    2. Both very sideways?
Can you afford a bench cover playing early on the weekend that might go big? A parker or cunno

        1. The tigers midfield isn’t that great, they restrict point scoring elsewhere and Taranto scored 71 vs GC earlier in the year,

    1. Sicily should go well against WCE. Look at Houli today. Let’s face it, he’s gonna see a lot more of it than he did today and the bigger ground should suit him.

MCrouch could score 140 as easily as 80. next week.

I’d be looking at a wildcard to loophole rather than trading OUT a premo!

      1. Hear, Hear.

Mentioned it numerous times over the past month and congrats if anyone decided to go through with some of my suggestions such as Wingard or Howe who I’ve recommended to a couple of teams over the past fortnight.

      2. Sage words AS. I think that is the way I will go.I rage traded Sicily,M Crouch and Robbie Gray then promptly reversed all the scenarios. I am Feeling better now!! Of course team selections , injuries and the dreaded general soreness will dictate trades.

      3. Fair enough about the variability in scoring but you may as well choose who you think will score more if you have the freedom of a trade. I have 83k, so I can’t really upgrade Setterfield or Dylan Clarke to anyone worthwhile and it isn’t any different logically to sub an F7 score on for a forward than it is to replace Crouch with Bont.

  6. Just a heads-up: apparently Cripps spent yesterday morning in hospital with an ear infection. He managed to get up for the game, but was still affected by it (this explains a lot… Steele had never got the better of him before). Keep an eye on this week’s injury list, in case he has any lingering issues with it.

  7. Assuming Gawn and Cripps get up:

T/U – OUT: Sicily, BCrouch IN: Howe, Dusty
T/D – OUT: Setterfield and D.Clarke IN: Howe (through Carter DPP), rookie

    OR neither!

  8. Nothing to do with SuperCoach, but watching I’m up late watching the Ashes, and I just heard a section of the crowd singing the Carlton song!

  9. 1 trade and 34k in the bank.
My weakest links are Hartlett, Sicily and Sloane but the awkward pricing means I can’t get much more bang for my buck.

So if I have no injury concerns, my eyes are on Oliver > J.Kelly

    TU: Lets gooooo.
TD: Na, he’ll score well v Roos

    1. Given Sicily’s erratic scoring, another idea might be to upgrade Answerth to Williams and have a loophole in the back line.

You could wait until after the Hawthorn game and make a call on Sicily’s score vs what numbers you think Smith will put up.

          1. You would need to play williams and have the “e” on sicily (or vice versa) then if happy with the score, put gardiner on the field (dogs play on sunday) in place of Smith or Laird (Adeliade play sunday).

  11. If Gawn doesn’t get up… who do I trade to?
    Cant afford Goldy.

Thinking ROB if sauce gets dropped, against English, should have a thousand hitouts lol

    Thoughts people?

  12. 1 trade left with $146k itb. Was planning to use it to replace Rockliff with J Kelly. Now faced with possible Gawn absence. I have Gawn/Grundy & Z Clarke at R3 but he will score close to nothing against Grundy this week.
My cash league GF oppo has Grundy & Goldy.…..dammit!!
Assuming Gawn is out & Goldy is up against a Gawnless demons, my choices are:

    T/U J Kelly & Z Clarke
    T/D Rockliff & Goldy

  13. I have two options. Appreciate any feedback

TU – bring Parker/Cunnington in to loophole with MCrouch

    TD – two straight swaps
    Heeney to Greene
    Mcrouch to worpel

    5

    1
  14. T/U – Mundy to Marshall (would have to involve a rookie downgrade)
    T/D – Mundy & M crouch to Billings & Zerrett.

    Cheers

Trade Chol out, move Hill to fwd and bring in Menegola to mid?
If Menegola scores well loop hole him with greaves

  17. Is it worth doing any of these trades for the final week?

Heeney to Walters, Laird to Whitfield or Hanrahan to Narkle (to loophole)

    T/U: YES
    T/D: NO

        1. Very difficult and depends what position you need most. But if out nof the two id go with Whitfield purely because Kelly might need the run whereas Whitfield started to look ready to explode last week

          1. Thanks for the advice. Just have one final question.
Who to trade out for Whitfield?

            T/UP: Laird
            T/D: Lloyd

    1. Think Dusty is a good call. Hell, why not?! Would you then loop Sicily and Newman?

My only concern is whether Gawn plays this week. Sounds more and more ominous as the week progresses.

Good luck. Very solid team indeed!

    1. I’d bring in Taranto over Sloane, Alex. Should go huge v Suns, whereas I think the Lions will give the Tigers on-ballers a run for their money..

        1. Yeah, went at 50% DE that day and Cogs popped off and hogged all the points. Should be good for 120+ this time though.

          1

          0
      1. Why are you so averse to Taranto? Averages over 100 and is vs’ing the easiest team to score against, whereas Langdon and Edwards both average in the 80s.

              1. Ooo, yes. Good suggestion, Stu.

I rate Adams as both a player and an SC-pick, would have started him had he been delayed till R3. After Buckley ended the defender experiment and put him back in the middle he finished the season really strongly. Big stage player as well, turns up when the Pies needing. Expecting a solid showing from him tonight.

                Also worth considering, Alex.
