  1. Howe down to a rookie then Naismith up to one of the big guns for me this week. Seems the only way to go with both of them out for an extended period

      1. Hill from Freo
or Butler from the dogs are two i’m looking at. Probably Hill at the moment for me.

        6

        1
      2. No real rookie prospects at the moment but there are a few mid-price fancies out there.

Kola had a good first game for 115 and Jordan Ridley has been cruising along nicely but is now up to $410K, Jack Lukosius is looking better by the week.

For a real downgrade you can look at Louis Butler from the Dogs, Tom Williamson or Hayden Young. Stephen Hill had his first game in what feels like years but high risk given his injury history.

        1. And only scraped in a 70, which is basically not far off is long term average, which you could realistically expect would be achievable by Young at a lesser price.

          1. I like Young HH

Another of the 2020 class that looks at home at this level.

He showed enough last week to think he will be a decent cow. He has the Crows and another game in the Hub
( Dees?) before returning to WA for a stretch. $220K is a heap for a downgrade rookie but I feel he will be worth it.
He looks like a pretty handy on field option, and the 106 stays in his price for a few weeks so a half decent score this week, should ensure solid price growth.

I’m also looking at another midfielder this week. This would push Rowell to M7, I’m just not liking the JS of many of the Midfield rookies this year.

Mitchell, Bont and Danger all look like solid choices.

  2. You know it’s bad when you’re forced to hold a $670K midfielder with a dodgy hamstring.

At this stage it’ll be Howe and Stewart out, Wingard and someone else in, which means I miss out on all those cash cows. Ugh. I’ll come back when the headache has gone down a bit.

    1. Might be worth leaving Noble for a week to see what the Howe absence does to his scoring, if they go Madgen they won’t want him kicking it as much as Howe did.

  3. Thankfully I do not have to replace Fyfe.

So I am thinking Ridley in Howe out

    Cavarra out and Hill in.

I would have like to have got Daniel or Lloyd but that means no Hill.

I have a non playing rookie on each line so I need to get some cash generation happening

  4. Do we think hill has longevity enough to be a trade option. I love him if he does but not sure he’ll stay fit enough and might end up getting managed similarly to Bennell

TU he’s safe bring him in as an option
TD too risky atm especially with all this carnage

    1

    24
    1. I’ve gone thumbs down as Hill is far from safe but if you can get 4 weeks out of Hill at 70+ ave he’s done his job in 2 ways

      4

      0
    2. After losing two of their best runners (B.Hill & Langdon), I think Freo need Hill playing more than Melb need Bennell, who was just a handy bonus.

Having said that, after yesterday’s game the Dees look like the could use anyone who can hit a target.

  5. Glad I dont have many injuries to deal with, but I ain’t trusting Fyfe again. Looking at Duncan just because I feel I can back him in to be nice and consistent while not missing games. He doesn’t go massive but scoring tonnes on a weekly basis is all I need

  6. Do we think Ridley is a downgrade option from Howe

    TU He’s looking the goods
TD nah play it safe and go to another premo perhaps a fallen premo

  7. What’s the go with Coniglio playing in the FWD line, lost at sea down there.

    T/u Trade to Danger/ Simpkin

    T/d Keep, he’ll come good

  8. Brayshaw and Houston will be gone this week. The Swans have a Sunday game in round 5, so Naismith can stay around an extra week as a loophole while I deal with those two. I have a bit of a North-style WARCHEST going, with close to $400K in the bank, so I can probably turn them into whoever I want; still, I’d rather look for value than go too crazy – I’m hoping to use the extra funds for some accelerated rookie upgrades in the coming rounds.

    4

    1. Like it mate especially if you managed to avoid most of the injuries his week, you can get 1-2 upgrades ahead of the pack.

      1

      0
  9. Avoided most the carnage this round (except Fyfe, who looks like he could be out a couple weeks).

Viney was brought in for cash generation and his break even is up to 125.

    Thinking:

    Fyfe > Lloyd

    Viney > Wingard

Leaves me with $125k in the bank for an upgrade next week

  10. Is there something wrong with sc this week? My VC loophole didnt work. Also my floating 0 as well, I didnt get my E score???

      1. ThugsMagpies. On my team page I have Gawn and McIntyre as E but they didnt count. My VC loophole worked.

        2

        1
        1. You had Budarick, Rivers, Pickett and Cameron as your emergencies. No scores from Gawn (141) McInerney (74) and Brander (49)

          0
              1. Yes thanks but the Gameday page didnt update the changes I did to my team. Gawn emergency and McIntyre for Bennel (the second one was done before Thursdays game but didnt update on the Gameday page. It’s obviously an error.

          1. Are you looking at the Gameday page? Those emergencies you mentioned are all wrong. On my team page Mcinerney and Gawn are emergencies. Have contacted Herald sun for answers.

    1. If you have him, and as long as you were happy with your other Captaincy options, then trading out Neale for $105k profit could be wisely spent (maybe turn Neale and a rookie into 2 other premiums).

Not the craziest idea in the world.

      3

      19
  11. Going Howe & Naismith to Pittonet & Ridley. About 10k short of being able to get Goldy & S. Hill, which pretty much sums up supercoach 2020 in a nutshell lol

    3

    10
    1. Think you might have missed the boat on Pittonet (unless you’re planning on making him a keeper). His 2 big scores will roll out of his cycle next week, so he’s probably only got 1 more large price rise left in him.

Even if he scores 100 again this week, his B/E next week will probably be around 60-65.

      2

  12. Have to hold on to Fyfe for now, Howe and Stewart are the long-term outs I’m forced into trading.

Left with just under $40k in the bank

  13. Who to replace Howe?

TU: Ridley (and have enough cash for 1 up, 1 down trade next week)
TD: Maynard (will probably have to make 2 downgrades next week)

    21

    3
    1. I haven’t watched any essendon games this year, what does Ridley’s role look like? Are Essendon looking to get the ball into his hands as a distributer (similar to Docherty, Daniel, etc)?

      1

      1
      1. I’m a mad bomber and had him from the start. Great intercept mark and clean distributor. One of those 16-18 disposal types that gets 80-90, but doesn’t need too much more to 100+
Bird may have flown price wise.

  14. Long time follower of the best SC site in the biz!

Off to a flyer this year (ranked 605) and would love to keep it going. Generally hate getting mid-pricers but this year it seems to be the way to go.

Thinking of trading Fyfe and Pickett to Simpkin and one of:

    TU Butler
    TD Ridley
Comment – Go for a rookie instead

Not sure if Butler keeps this form up personally, but keen to see what everyone thinks!

    1. Nice work man, already got Simpkin so I’m going Howe > Ridley and upgrading Taylor to Butler.

I like Butlers role on the wing and don’t see him slowing down. Haven’t watched any Dons games either so no idea on what Ridley can do.

I have the option to bring in Maynard or Sicily but not sure how Howe being out is going to impact Maynards scoring so bit of a wait and see…

      1

      0
      1. Thanks for the feedback all! Looks like a pretty clear consensus.

Happy Endings, love the bold moves. As a Bombers man myself, Ridley just uses the ball really well whenever he gets his hands on it.

Agree with the wait and see approach on Maynard, not sure if they’ll make him more accountable now that Howe’s out.

  15. Crazy as it sounds, I’m contemplating holding Stewart. I don’t have Howe, Naismith or Fyfe to worry about, but would rather focus on cash gen. I’m thinking of going BZT and C Taylor out, and two of Hill, Serong, H Young and T Green in. Ideally Hill and Serong. Thoughts?

TU – Not worth holding Stewart.
TD – Go for the cash gen, play the long game.

    29

    0
    1. This year I don’t think it’s worth it though check the injury time line of course if somehow its just 2-3weeks it might be the way to go, I jumped early Serong & with the Fyfe injury i’m pretty confident he’s going to be a good rook

      7

  16. Thoughts on these trades.

TU – Out Howe and Taylor, In Macrae and Hill.
TD – Out Howe and Noble, In Maynard and Ridley.

    1. 2nd option definitely seems better, but ideally would love 1 game without Howe to see what happens to Maynard’s role.

  17. Howe & Naismith OUT
    Butler (WBD) and Gawn IN

            1. Much more likely to tag a Kelly than Gaff. General consensus at the moment seems to be that Gaff runs a lot and gets a lot of cheap possessions but doesn’t do much damage

  19. Have lost Fyfe, Naismith & Howe. Have most of the main rookies & $517,000 banked

    TU. Gawn Lloyd
    TD. Gawn Gaff
Really keen on Gaff with a batch of home games n0t far away.

    8

    17
    1. Of the 2 options, definitely Gaff. Can’t justify spending nearly $600k on a DEF at this stage of the season.

      8

      1
    2. I’m bringing in Yeo this week, I think he is under priced and for the same reasons you give for Gaff about lots of home games.

I’m also keeping Brander around for a while for the same reasons as I expect his price to keep going up after some home cooking

*Disclaimer: my supercoach theme song is “I’ve done all the dumb things”

    1. When McKenna comes back Ridley will no play the running half back role, McKenna is only 1-2 weeks away, we’ve seen it last year when McKenna played Ridley scores decreased

      10

      0
      1. That’s not quite true. Ridley and McKenna played 6 times together last year with Ridley outscoring McKenna 4-2.

        3

        0
            1. Yeah mate and Tacko is right that was the outlier that Ridley beat McKenna but they were all low-scoring shootouts lol

But I like him as a pick this year he’s so mature and his decision making coupled with his disposal efficiency being consistenly high makes for a good calculated punt on him imo

              9

              0
  20. If Fyfe is only out for 1-2, I’ll be holding him.

If that’s the case, I’m leaning towards Naismith & Viney OUT | Butler (WBD) & Haynes/Ridley IN.
Leaves me with $230 or $335k in the bank to complete my forward line next week.

    T/U: Haynes
    T/D: Ridley

    10

    3
    1. Definitely Haynes. If you’re bringing in 2 potential keepers, 1 of them should be some kind of solid lock (Haynes).

  23. Howe > Ridley
    Taylor > Butler

    $110K in the kitty.

Not sure if I trust The Chad yet… but potentially bringing him in for Rozee or Whitfield next week if they don’t turn things around.

    Last week went:
    Yeo > O’meara – didn’t fire but I’m hoping it’s just a blip.
Sauce > Pittonet – No brainer.

    3

    0
    1. Rozee looks as if he has lost his MID role as his last 2 weeks scores would indicate.
Go with Whitfield, had 24 touches but 62% eff stunted his scoring. Normally a lot better than that.

      4

      0
        1. Simple question, do you see Ridley as a keeper? Because at $410k, he’s not going to make you a huge amount of money for a future trade.

Plus, we don’t know what impact McKenna coming back in will have on his output.

          Go with Sicily.

          6

          2

    4

    11
  30. Here’s my thinking. If you are looking at defenders it has to come down to Maynard (with no Howe) or Ridley* if going for a 100 point player at a decent price. Casboult with his dpp might also be worth consideration, as might Saad*.

    * Don’t forget the double bite at a score down the track, and that their pricing is currently one game behind.

Rookies you have a lot of options. You could still bring in pre price risers like Stephen Hill, Jake Kolodjashnij (115 on his first game and Stewart out) or Louis Butler, or pony up a little extra for a bit of proof of performance in Williamson or Young (both of whom we were all hot for in preseason).

Probably a bit late for Starcevitch if you haven’t got him yet, and Rivers won’t have inspired you this week.

I’m also considering whether or not going cheap is better forward or defence, and using the Howe money for Petracca or Wingard.

But what’s gonna decide it? As usual, when teams are named.

    3

    0
    1. I’m not convinced of The Chad yet and even less so of Tracs…

I went to The Riddler over Saad as they were scoring similarly and $80 difference.

  31. Two of three injured premiums to two premiums that are about to get injured.
Five injuries in two weeks, plus all those non scoring Dees and a Bomber last week. Sheezus!

Meh,seasons about to get shutdown anyway. Bring on 2021!

  32. Brought in Stewart and Fyfe last week. Big lol.

Half entertained of the thought of bringing in Hill for Stewart and upgrading Pickett into Simpkin in the hopes that Fyfe’s injury is minor.

Feel like the rational response is to go Stewart > Lloyd, Fyfe > Any midfielder under 617k.

I hate this week, a lot.

    7

    0
    1. I rate Maynard, just a matter of whether he’s forced into a more accountable role with Howe now out and the Pies forced to re-jig their backline. Daniel the safe bet.

  33. Thinking of Coniglio to Bontempelli.

    TU: Yes, do it
TD: No, Coniglio’s scoring will increase

    17

    7
    1. Hey, Wombats.

Yeah, get Coniglio out of there. From the start of the year GWS said he was going to have more stints FWD, with a potentially 60:40 split.

Bont’s got an easy run of games, Dogs’ season at the crossroads and Dunkley is out – he’s coming in for me this week.

      2

      0
      1. Thanks

Will probably do that trade this week. If I’m trading out Coniglio, it was going to be this week. And Bontempelli is as gettable as he will be for a while.

  34. I held Yeo last week and he still did not fire.

I know the Eagles are struggling and they are returning home soon, but I can’t keep carrying his score.

I can’t afford Neale, and I am looking for a bit of a POD.

      1. He’s had 3 scores under 75 in the past three years (one each of 2017, 2018, and 2019), so not sure why you think that a 60 is inevitable…

    1. Toying with Taylor Adams myself Cougar.
Very Consistent , Good Scoring & hard as a cats head !
Had a few injury problems earlier but looks to be in fine shape ATM
I see his club has signed him until 2024 …. says a lot without saying anything .

      I’m thinking of outing >Fyfe & Townsend to…..

TU : Adams & Ridley ( via Brander) or

Cheers Coaches Enjoy your week !

    2. Hey, Cougar.

If you’ve held Yeo this long, I’d probably hold strong for another fortnight. Once the Eagles get back to Perth they, along with Yeo, will dramatically lift. I’ll be looking to pick him at M8.

If you’re set on off-loading him though, I’d look past Adams. Doing well now, yes, but Treloar’s set to return – surely that affects his output?

Try and find the coin (even it means a one week delay) and get a proven premo in. Whole thing that got you into this mess was a POD – why run the same risk?

      2

  35. After suffering absolute carnage r3 with dons/dees, the SC gods have smiled on me with no Williams Fyfe Howe or Stewart. So, I’m going purely for cash over the next 3-4 weeks as cows mature.

    1. As a Freo supporter, I would not go anywhere near Hill.

I love the guy, one of my favourite players, but injuries are always seemingly around the corner for him.

Serong looks like he has the makings of a very solid player.

  41. Howe, Fyfe, Merrett, Naismith, Bennell, Pickett, Cameron, Sturt… where do you start?

    Current thinking is:
    Howe > Daniel
    Fyfe > Bont
    Leaves me $219k in bank.

    Team after trades –
D: Doc, Daniel, Sicily, Doedee, Starcevich, Noble (Brander, Rivers)
M: Neale, Jelly, Bont, Oliver, Rowell, Zerrett and rookies – Budarick, McInerney, Pickett, Bennell, Brown
    R: Grundy, Pitt (Naismith)
F: Dusty, Whitfield, Ceglar, DSmith, Taylor, MKing (Sturt, Cameron)

Word is Fyfe’s injury is minor (1-2 weeks) and Sturt is a test for this weekend. Naismith I can hold as his price is not going anywhere but definitely need to trade Fyfe to avoid a donut with Merrett, Pickett and Bennell sitting on my Mid bench.
Could do some DPP magic and trade in a Fwd or another Def…(Lloyd or Simpkin)

    T/U – Trades sound good
    T/D – Think again Stewy

    1. Yeah I’ve read the comments above so I agree with holding Noble. Doedee’s the interesting case as I anticipate Long averaging more over the season. So it might be worth upgrading Doedoee to a Maynard/Daniels/Crisp type.

  44. Thinking of these trades

T/U Fyfe to Bont and Taylor to the Chad
    T/D rethink

Makes my forward line nearly full premo sort of, B Smith D Smith Whitfield Chad Petracca
    But backline still very skinny
With only Doc Sicily and Doedee + noble brander and Rivers.
Plan being to hope upgrade def’s in the next week or two barring the def injury curse this year

  45. Trading Howe and with 50k in the bank I need some more for upgrade season.

What’s the go with Hayden Young – 41, 41, then he pulls out 102 – change in role or just finding his feet for a game? Is he safe? Is he Howe > Young safe?

Im 5k short for Jake Lloyd, so my other options which don’t gain much cash will b e; Maynard/Saad/Daniel

    0

    0
    1. No, Howe-Young would not be safe. Howe was one of your premo backs, so replace with a premo back – you don’t want to give yourself extra messes to clean up in 2-3 weeks.

      1

  46. Struggling to decide on a rookie downgrade.

t/u Serong – with Fyfe only maybe missing a game

t/d Green – with Taranto only 2-3 weeks a way

Comment: Young best JS but pricey with a big 109 in his system

    4

    5
  47. Have both Howe and Fyfe and no solid bench support..
Thinking of trading Howe > Lloyd as a safe bet.

    T/U Fyfe > Simpkin
T/D Fyfe > Bont (Comment Gaff or other premo)

    Cheers

  48. Have gone Howe to Maynard and Whitfield to Simpkin, feeling a little sideways but is it with this shortened season, missed all the big injuries other than Howe obviously, Saad was my other thought or Toby Green instead of Whitfield and would give me more cash in the bank. Help plz??? Open to all suggestions lol

    1

    4
    1. Keep Whitfield. Waste of a trade. Fix any non playing rookies or under-performing/maxed out players.

      13

      0
      1. Whitfield and Greene are my under-performing players, most of my “cheapies” have got a few weeks at least left. Got Gould, Bennell, Rankine and Cameron they didn’t play last week happy to sit on Bennell and no one jumps out for replacing them, just leaking money with Greene and Whitfield I thought

        0

        0
    2. I have been thinking about Whitfield too…..I have him. Ask yourself…if you didn’t have him, would you get him in at his current price ? Still likely to be a top 6 fwd.

      1

      1. Thanks Shaggi. I have Bailey Williams too so Defs a bit weak. I’m a 2nd year SC newbie. Thinking of trying loophole for 1st time with Doc into Grundy or Taylor Adams.

  49. After a disastrous r3 when I missed out on about 550-600 dees/dons pts, the SC gods have put a wry smile on my face this week. I see lots of chaos even before team selections, so to not have Williams/Stewart/Howe/Fyfe is almost karma, plus avoiding traps Sauce/Naismith/Cameron from the start.
So, I’ll have a major problem to decide which rookies to get this week, to add to the cow culling in a few weeks.

    3

    8
    1. Hey Wighty, great to hear you are so upbeat. Who would have thought that your beloved dons losing to Carlton by one point would put such a big wry grin on your chops! Karma indeed. Haha

      1

      0
      1. You are a week behind the times RIYP. My grin is about my good fortune with trades this week if you read my post. I have moved on from last week…..someone once suggested to me that I should do that. You should too. Its good advice.

          1. Thanks old chap !! They fall into two categories…the cheapies such as Georgiades who would be first choice if picked again, but gonna be difficult at Port…Mahony, Butler, Xerri.
Then there are the likes of Serong, Williamson, Hill, and Young. Not exactly cheap rookies but still have cash to generate compared with some cows who are reaching maturity…T Brown, McCasey, Taylor etc…

            0

            0
  50. I love reading all this but just want to cry! People are talking upgrades, I’m trying to keep my head above water. Last week Dunkley & Sturt, this week plastering over the holes left by Fyfe, Naismith, Howe and Stewart. My appreciating rookies Pickett and Bennell were unceremoniously dumped last week. Brown’s position is looking more precarious, Gould hasn’t had a look in and Houston is running Round in every decreasing circles.
Thank heavens Rowell, Big Maxy and Lachie Neale are starring.
So what do I do to get 22 on the field. I need a defender and a midfielder

TU. Howe and Fyfe to Sicily and either Bont/Titch
TD Howe and Brown to Sicily and Green, hold Fyfe, hope for a speedy recovery and then concentrate on this week’s disasters.

Good luck to those who smugly are upgrading midpricers to fallen premiums

    12

    5
    1. Hey, C0vid-22 (lol).

I think the T.U option is where it’s at. Trade aggressively and aim to get 22 warm bodies on field. Also, go Fyfe to Bont – not Titch, he’s gonna cop De Boer this week.

      Best of luck.

      2

      0
      1. Gotta agree with GD. Go through all the options, and trust whichever you think will get you the most points this round. Next week is another week.

  51. Does anyone know or think they know who the receiver of most of the Howe short kick outs was?

    1

    0
  52. T/U Get in Gawn and Mahoney (for Naismith and Coniglio) with 11k spare this week
    …or
T/D Get in Dangerfield and Green/ Hill (for Naismith and Coniglio) with 79k spare [to then trade Stewart and a 260k rookie next week for Gawn and a 117k rookie]

    2

    1
  53. Is Howe to Ridley a good trade then hold Fyfe or do I need to trade him.
Have 270k in the bank if trade Howe to Ridley. Howe to Stephen Hill not too sure

    1

    0
    1. Hey, Joel.

Personally, I’m not sold on Ridley just yet. Need to see how McKenna returning affects the Dons back line. Up to you though.

I think, yes, you have to trade Fyfe. They’ve already moved the goalposts to from 1 – 2 to 2 – 3. Either way, you just can’t afford a benched premo in this short a season.

      So, you could go:

      Howe -> any DEF premo
Fyfe -> Bont (assuming you already have Neale)

Should leave you with a decent bank as well.

      Good luck.

      1

      1. FD…as you may know, I am a mad bombers fan. Spotted Ridley last year and started him this year. He takes intercept marks and de is about 90%….perfect SC game with 16-18 disposals for 90-100 pts. He’s d6 in my final team in this limited trade year. Only thing is his price is now difficult…not an issue if you started him.

  54. Hey guys I can go Fyfe to anyone but not sure who. I have Neale, Cripps, Macrae, Mitchell, who do I go to??? Everyone is throwing around names like Gaff but playing Sydney and Hewett is a problem. Someone throw some names of people I can trade to.

      1. I feel this a super tough one, with Dunkley out Bont might see a lot more of the ball, but Danger I feel might be a bit more consistent. But I aint no expert

What about…now keep this under your hat… a POD, coz of suspensions and 1st gamer this year(?) ….Adams?

  55. Can anyone help me with draft league trades. I have Heppell, but none of my bench are playing. Is there any way I can do a trade ??

    0

    0
    1. Wighty

Go into your draft league and click on the player you want to trade.

They will be a green box with “All Players”just above Lachie Neale in the trade in section.

Just to the right click where it say’s Free Agents.

This will show all the players still available. You should find some sort of replacement there.

I lost Duursma the other week and lucky for me replaced him with Charlie Dixon. 🙂

      Best of luck 🙂

    TD: Fyfe > Bont, Howe>Daniel

    Comment, just Howe > Daniel.

  57. Along with pretty much everyone else, trading to cover injury this round. Currently $154K in the bank

Got Naismith as my R2, so the question is do I try to go for Gawn or look at a cheaper option?

    TU: Howe->Young; Naismith->Gawn
    TD: Howe->Laird; Naismith->English

Could sub in Rich, Saad, Crisp instead of Laird.

The other option I’ve got in swinging Ceglar into R2 from my forward line, but I’d lose my D.Cameron/Ceglar F/R swing.

    10

    0
  58. Howe> who?

    TU Sicily or Daniel
I see these guys as less risky, you know more or less youll get 100 every week

    TD Ridley or Maynard
Riskier but potentially more reward? Ridley is $100k cheaper and Maynard has been pumping out numbers, but McKenna coming back in and Howe out could change things for better or worse. Hmm

    2
  59. I got 15 thumbs down and a lot of hate last week for suggesting to bring in Bont or Danger. I said you will all be trading them in this week and got laughed and abused at. Never rule out an uber premium

    4

    0
    1. Maybe it was your selected options of trading that got the thumbs down? SCT is far from the place where people get ‘abused’. Also this week Bont has dropped 50k overall and on the back of a 166, with Fyfe and Sidebottom out for 2 weeks of course he would be considered by many.

      4

    2. Same with Bont lol,

Made him my VC to top it off.

Sometimes need to trust your gut.

Just cause it’s a different sort of season doesn’t mean similar rules don’t apply

  60. TU: Lloyd (break even of 137 at $589k)

TD: Caleb Daniel (break even of 64 at $540.5k)

I can afford both players, Daniel is better value for money but I expect Lloyd to score more for the rest of the year.

    3

    8
  61. Fyfe & Howe replaced by:

    T/U: Bont & Walters
    T/D: Daniels & Walters

Planning to do a DPP swing through Brander to get the Bont in for Howe. while will leave me skinny in defence, but, strengthens my midfield two fold.

    Thoughts appreciated.

  62. With money in my pocket and a few injured players to replace i’m contemplating two up, two down or 1-&-1.

Howe and Tom Cutler (yes, i had him, stop laughing) need to go:
TU – Get the PODs – Parker and Duncan
TD – Get the Freo rookies – Hill & Serong

Leaning towards the double premo line of thinking and i really like the two bankable super unique PODs but the flip side is are the two Freo cheapies must haves?? Parker and Duncan’s BE’s are low 100s so they’re not likely to deviate in price too much from this week to next so i could always take the score hit this week and nab them next week. Just sick of dealing with rookies and want to start upgrade season.

      1. I think that is everyone’s boogeymen this year.
“Do I get points or save cash for next week?”
What if…..should I…….., just toss a coin and hide under the bed or in the wardrobe, and don’t let the boogeymen see what you decide.

    1. Hey, RB.

As enticing as the double premo option is, I think getting those cows in is the way to go – both showed great signs last week. Although, you could probably get away with replacing Howe and bringing in just one of the Freo cows.

      1

      0
      1. I agree with GD…this may be the last week to get fresh cows before culling of the likes of Brown, Taylor needs to start. I’ll then be starting upgrades week by week hopefully.

  63. Downgrading Howe to Kolodjashnij ($297k, 115 in his first game, BE 2)
    Upgrading Naismith to Gawn

  64. Fyfe, Naismith & Howe to deal with. Leaning to holding Fyfe. Other options below:

TU – Howe & Naismith to Ridley & Pittonet
TD – Howe & Naismith to L.Buter (dogs) & Gawn

Comment – Howe & Naismith to Lloyd & Hill (swing Ceglar to R2)

  65. Battle of the Young Gun Mids.

    The $500 000 question is….

Who can maintain the rage ?

    T/U B Smith “Mullet Dog”

    T/D Jy Simpkin. “Speedy Roo”

I think there both solid options for different reasons.

    What do you think ?

    Thanks Folks.

  66. Took an early punt on Philp which HAS NOT worked out! Now need to decide if it’s worth trading Philp > Serong or Fyfe > Premo.
NOTE: I have no mid bench cover so have to trade someone

    T/U: Philp > Serong
    T/D: Fyfe > Premo

  67. Can anyone give any insight into the hype around Hill (freo)? I understand he’s at the top of the bargain bin and his best is very good, but I’m worried he will fold like a house of cards at the slightest touch

TU: get him in, the only way is up.

TD: look elsewhere, will be back in the cotton wool in no time

    3

    9
  68. Is Starcevich worth trading into Hill for the 90k or does he still have money to make?

    TU: Yep
    TD: Starcevich will earn more

  69. Tu Fyfe toNeale now
Td Fyfe to Titch/Gaff cause Neale is too expensive and wait till price drops

      Thums Down: Bont

  70. Thumbs up and Thumbs down on this one.

    Howe to Ridley
    Fyfe to Bont

  71. Ive got a trade to burn. This will cost me nothing but hopefully earn a few dollars.

Gould (can’t see him getting a game in the near future) into Butler (at least he’s looking like making some coin)

    TU: Yes
    TD: No

  72. Coniglio-Sturt > Dangerfield-SHill
    Via Brander ddp

    TD: Think again!

Can also afford Boak Macrae etc but think Danger better value?

  73. So I really screwed up this year + Players keep getting injured and dropped hasn’t helped me one bit.
So I’m looking for any advice on who I should be looking at trading.
I’m not getting rid of Fyfe though, because I only got him last week. It would be stupid to get rid of him if he’s only out for 1-2 weeks.

    Here’s my current team.
DEF: Docherty, Hurn, Laird, Doedee, Starcevich, Noble (Brander, Rivers)
MID: Fyfe, Cripps, Macrae, J. Kelly, Bontempelli, Rowell, Budarick, Green (T. Brown, McInerney, Pickett)
    RUC: Grundy, Pittonet (Conroy)
FWD: Martin, Rozee, MacPherson, Smith, Taylor, King (Cameron, Georgiades)

Who should I get rid of, and who to bring in?
