Trade Talk Rd5 – PART TWOp

Written by Schwarzwalder on April 17 2019

With so many trades in hand and plenty of slow-burning rookies, Coaches are becoming very creative in their trade plans.  But a little creativity might just give you the edge over the next few weeks.  So who is in this week?  Who is making way?

  1. Trying to hold my nerve and not trade this week, but this is tempting:

    Butters>Stack + Crisp>Whitfield

TU: Good plan, Whitfield is a must have
TD: Hold fire, Crisp will improve and get Whitfield later as an upgrade

  2. Looking at going gibbons to obrien via setterfield/bines. Opens up the dpp mid swing which is nice.
I think the Jacobs injury will cause him to miss for a couple of more weeks. And evenif he’s back next week, surely the crows keep obrien in? Hes playinh well enough, and they need to try something different!!

    T/u. good plan
    T/d. No good

      1. Trade Gibbons to a fwd by selecting the S on W Setterfield thus switching him to the midfield and allowing you to select a forward. Due to Bines possessing forward eligibility press S on Bines to switch the fwd to a ruck. This will allow you to select O’Brien thus replacing Gibbons and in the process moving W Setterfield to M11 and P Bines to F8.

  3. Traded out hore the other week for duursma. But his BE is tasty.. do i trade him in for burgess for some better cash growth?
Other defender rookies are scrimshaw, duursma, clarke and collins so the slow burn of burgess isnt all bad.

T/u quick cash the better choice
T/d plenty of other rookies there, slow burn will do

  4. OUT Butters/Dunkley
    IN Stack/Boak

First trade for the year and improves my one premo regret to a top performer

    1. Note the great FD’s article about players reverting to long term averages. Boak is way above his, and if he does revert to his lta, some below average scores are coming.

      3

      1
      1. And Boak is also now at an age where performances start to taper…pendles, jwood buddy, jpk…Boak first four weeks are a statistical abberation and a trap imho

        9

        4
        1. That age factor is different for different players mate. We saw both Hurn and Westhoff have career best seasons last year. They’re well into their 30s. Mundy is one who from memory had a 110 avg season at the age of 30. Simmo: avged 105 at an age where he should’ve been in a nursing home. I get that these players are the exceptions rather than the norm, but I believe there are far more important factors to consider when picking players than age (role, team success, uninterrupted pre-seasons etc) and that players are perfectly capable of playing close to their full potential right up until the age of 34/35. This scoring streak from Boak has shown that he’s still capable of scoring like a premo if he has an inside mid role, in spite of his age, and that whilst it’s unreasonable to expect him to keep pumping out these scores, he could finish the season averaging 105 quite comfortably.

  5. Why is everyone so set on ditchint butters? Had one god arwful score but he is a rookie, gonna happen. Before last week he had put up very decent scores and fit very well as a mid 8 for now. Personally unless he is dropped, im gonna start him on the field this week and save a trade

  6. Not sold on this idea but thinking I need to generate some $$$. I still have 30 trades up my sleeve. I’ll lose my loophole after Setterfield comes back from suspension.

    Gibbons to stack
    Sweet to O’Brien

    Tu do it
    Td hold fire.

    22

    8
    1. Feel like the loophole is too valuable to lose, but while saying that, by the time setters is back there is a good chance you’ll have someone else dropped or hurt to cover

      7

  7. Still have 30 trades left and my main two concerns are Williams and Dunkley. Do you think it’s time for either of these two to go?

Lloyd, Bontempelli, Boak, Rockliff are my main targets.

Would love to hear your thoughts?

    1. williams is loos’n pts to whitfield ,scoring @ his price point now , might aswell hold unless u get a flyer you can jump on
dunkley is loos’n pts to libba , will only drop another 50k ,
better off holding both now & hoping for injuries in the dogs midfield or GWS 1/2 back line

      5

      1
    2. Intersting to note after tkelly 39 last week he is only 40 odd points ahead of dunkley for season! Dunkley hasn’t actually had a stinker yet.

      10

      0
          1. i think last year bont played fwd because they had no goal kickers
this year the dogs recruited fwds & their existing fwds are more experienced
bont isn’t required as a fwd now & is instead in the middle beating dunkley to the ball & the CP’s
            roll changes taking another scalp

            3

            0
          2. Everyone (premos) is over-priced at the beginning of the year because of the way that the pricing / scoring system works. So at his starting price, you’d have expected around 90-95 average. He’s at 82, so realistically, he’s only dropped 32-52 points (depending on anticipated average). Not worth losing your mind over, unless you see no way for him to get closer to that 90-95 range.

  8. I have $314k in the bank. 29 trades left. Decided to forgo downgrading – Stack and Ross’s JS is not really inspiring. Currently liking the looks of Sicily (would be D3 behind Lloyd and Whitfield, Smith at D4)to upgrade to, from Butters.

    T/U: Do it (23k + 28 trades left)

T/D: Hold, Boak and Neale more important/Butters still more to make/insert other reason in comments

    Thanks

    1. LTW.

I mentioned something similar on the last trade talk thread.

Would it not be better to upgrade a forward?

The defensive rookies are looking pretty solid ave 70/80.

The forward rookies are looking much more troublesome.

      I would be looking at a F4 or F5 ?

You could also move Setters to the midfield opening your DPP, and use him as a loophole until he returns.

Best of luck what ever you decide.

      3

      1. Thats an excellent point – after reading your reply, I had a look at the fwds available and the fallen premos article… Sicily is in my opinion a top 6 defender, while I can’t really place the fwds, but Billings is throwing up the sort of disposal numbers that virtually guarantee at least 80 every week, so he’d be my pick for the fwds, which leads me to my next question: For Butters,

        T/U: Sicily (D3, via Duursma)
        T/D: Billings (F4, via Setterfield)

        Thanks!

        4

  9. Clark to Hore
    Setterfield to O’Brien (Via Bines)

    250k Banked

Plan next week Butters to Ross, Parker to Premo

    8

    2
  10. Looking to upgrade to Tim Kelly and Clayton Oliver in the next few weeks whilst their prices are low. Tim Kelly’s got that 39 from last week, so that score will give him a high break-even for the next 2 rounds. Oliver’s price is also likely to drop more, and should still be a top-8 mid.

    4

    1
  11. Still carrying Toby Greene on bench, thoughts on:

    Butters > Stack, Greene > T.Kelly

Would leave me with 26 trades left. T/U yes, T/D no

    12

    3
    1. Parker STK maybe too. Could be carnage this week and have a gut feeling Clark will be dropped as well. Could be a trying time for coaches this week.

  12. This is my team at the moment

DEF – Lloyd, Crisp, Williams, Collins, Duursma, Clark (Hore, Burgess)
MID – Cripps, Neale, Macrae, Oliver, Crouch, Walsh, Constable, Butters (Atkins, Scott, Gibbons)
    RUC – Gawn, Goldstein (Bines)
FWD – Dangerfield, Heeney, Dunkley, Moore, Drew, Parker (Setterfield, Balta)

    28 trades remaining, $20k free.

What should I do with this? I haven’t been averaging anywhere near where I want to be, I really need advice on who I should trade out

    0

    0
    1. Thats a banging midfield – you’ll likely be killing it later on when they all click! I guess with your team its all about finding the moneymakers or in-form premos, so I’d say Whitfield and perhaps ROB (via a Bines swing) might be two good trades for you to look at? Good luck!

  13. 29 trades remaining….

Mulling Oliver to Yeo…netting 70kish. Concerned about Oliver’s crazy high BE and remits by Yeos relatively low BE as he seems to be moving into some decent form. Risky trade…agreed. Is it worth the punt?

    TU: Trade
    TD: Hold

    37
    1. Oliver is averaging career high disposals (32). Bit low of DE and score involvements but he’ll be fine.

      5

      0
    2. Oliver’s breakeven is a non issue. He’s a keeper in your side so you’ll never lose money on him unless he gets an LTI…

  14. Planning on making 2 trades (I still have 30), and want to try and get T. Kelly next week. Is this a good move?

    Dunkley > Marshall
    Setterfield > O’Brien

    8

    5
    1. Marshall is rucking against Gawn – may not end well.
Dunkley is playing against Carlton, who have struggled against his type of mid-sized forwards.

      1

      0
    2. I think the ROB trade is a good one and would do that this week.
Not sold on Dunkley out just to bring in Kelly next week. My reasoning is: (1) Kelly is set to lose more money over the next two rounds than Dunkley is (40k versus 25k) so it will be cheaper to get Kelly in 2 weeks from now; (2) it gives you a chance to see if Dunkley can turn it around a bit against Carlton / Fremantle before you pull the trigger, (3) cows will have fattened a bit more so another option might present itself to get Kelly in, and (4) gives you a chance to see if Kelly’s ankle is still bothering him.

  15. Finalising my decision to bring in a Premo defender this round, budget of $540k.

TU – Laird (BE of 66)
TD – Hurn (BE of 123)

Comment – Others (L. Ryan, Hurn, Sicily, Stewart, Suckling, Crisp)

Most of the above names are around the $520-$535k mark, so all very similar impact on bank.

    7

    14
  16. Two questions

Does anyhow know how long Jacobs is out for?

Do people see Jeremy Cameron being a top 6 fwd I personally think he is the perfect age and seems to be switched on and could kick bags with a juicy draw for a while.

  17. Absolutely torn between Boak and Heeney. Brain says Heeney, younger, higher ceiling and potential. Heart says Boak, can’t turn your back on his first 4 performances.

    T/U: Trade for Boak
    T/D: Trade for Heeney

    4

    28
  18. Thumbs up: Butters, Clark -> Stack, Whitfield
Thumbs down: Butters -> Rockliff straight up (+30kish)

Haven’t got either Whitfield or Lloyd at the moment and feel like I’m just falling further behind every week

    11

    3
    1. After someone your fielding is a late out and your fielding a zero.
Or of you have cover and time 5-10mins before the lock out on the traded out player.
Due to this being an extra long week.

  19. Hi people

I have 29 trades. Tempted by a move that I’m not convinced is a good one. Need some help.

    Either:
    – no trade, or,
    – Butters to Stack and Moore to Boak (will leave me with $0!)

Am I falling for a Boak trap? Surely can’t keep this up

    T/U – no trade
    T/D – Do it

    23

  20. Looking at my team & wishing I’d left myself a nice & handy $100k in the bank at the start of the season, as would love this week to get rid of 2 rookies and do an upgrade, but don’t have any cash to spend. So probably no trades again, still have 30.
Although I could trade out J Clark & Butters, and via some DPP, trade in Stack & R Marshall as F4 (who I know nothing about but seems to going well – anyone offer any insight?)

TU: Out – Clark & Butters, In – Stack & Marshall
TD: No trades – as it still leaves me with no cash for future upgrades.

    1

    7
  21. What to do with Jamie Elliott?

I’ve got full trades to use but only 8k. I was hoping for him to have a bigger midfield role, but considering how stacked the pies are in that area its just not happening.

  22. T/U Field Duursma, Trade out Butters and Balta, trade in Rotham and Bolton.

T/D Field Burgess Trade out Butters and Balta, trade in Rotham and Stack.

I will gain 30-4o points from fielding Duursma but I’m not sure about Bolton’s JS and the trade from Balta to him costs 30k.

Downgrading creates 100k and leaves me with 28 trades to target Rockliff for M6 next week.

  23. Toying with the idea of trading Goldstein to Mumford and Bines to O’Brien.
If Mumford continues as he has started they should average roughly the same and I make some money for an upgrade elsewhere. O’Brien is a handy back-up who will make money if he plays or a loop-hole like Bines if he doesn’t.

    T/T Good idea
    T/D Waste of two trades

    1

    13
    1. Goldstein to Mummy could be considered an unnecessary trade. I vote no.

If you want to bring on ROB, swing Bines forward. Chillo, RooBloke, AS, or someone else mentioned this in a thread on the site. This type of lateral thinking is much more effective in getting the ca$h gen and keeping your sides flexibility.

      Good luck.

      2

  24. TU: IN – Mumford and O’Brien (via DPP Lobb and Bines) OUT – Setterfield Parker/Petrucelle. When O’Brien is maxed Bines will go back to R3 and Lobb will stay F6/7

    Or

TD: IN – Mumford (via DPP Lobb) and Boak (via DPP Drew) OUT – Setterfield and B.Crouch

Really like Mummy as at least a stepping stone to eventually Grundy and i think he has 200k in him. O’Brien number one ruck for 6 weeks has over 200k also. I believe Boak is at least a top 6 fwd all year and is crushing it atm… torn. I have 316k banked and used one trade (Greene to Parker so far).
    Thanks guys

  25. With the news of Jacobs being out for 4-6 weeks, is it worth a straight swap now Sweet to O’Brien purely for cash generation? Still have 30 trades remaining and Setters as a captaincy loophole the next two weeks
    TU: Yes
    TD: No

  26. Need to get rid of Westhoff.

TU – two trades to get Boak
TD – one trade to get Daniel/Billings/Walters

  27. Looking at trading sweet for O’Brien. For this to happen I need to trade gibbons. What I can’t decide is should I trade gibbons for stack or roll the dice and trade in Ross (rich) with just one game under his belt?

    Tu trade in stack
    Td trade in Ross.

    6

    6
  28. Got 45k in my back pocket.

Is it worth trading Bines for O’Briens cash generation? Generally have one rookie not playing every week who could be used as a loophole.

He would also cover Grundy/Gawn in round 13 Bye.

    11

    1
  29. Which is the better strategy?

Chasing the $$$ by trading rookies or holding the trades as you can’t have them all and other rookies will pop up anyway as the season progresses.

    0

    1
    1. You can’t have ’em all, which has been one of the hardest lessons for me to learn playing this game. Having said that, you do need $$$ to do your upgrades later so the short answer is: both.

  30. TU: Take the punt with Baker or Bolton for Setterfield or Parker. Trade in Reilly O’Brien.
    TD: Leave it as is

    3

  31. Thoughts on trading:
    Butters –> Stack
    Sweet –> O’Brien

Have 28 trades left so hoping to generate some cash. Sauce out for 6 is very tempting.

    13

    0
  32. TU – Butters and Westhoff out for O’Brien and Boak
TD – Gibbons and Westhoff out for O’Brien and Mundy/Daniel
Comment – Balta and Westhoff out for O’Brien and Dahlhaus/Worpel

  33. Pending teams, my current plan is:

    Butters -Stack

Then I might possibly go Setterfield/Parker up to Marshall. This would use all my bank which is a risk so I’m tempted to hold fire and keep generating cash to let loose on some falling premo’s in the coming weeks.

  34. T/U – English > ROB
    – Butters > Rocky
    -200k left over

    T/D – English > ROB
    – upgrade Burgess or parker to premo in defence or attack (400k left after english trade)
This will leave me with not much money in the kitty

I want to get on the rocky train before it is too late but I am thinking my midfield is very strong already and happy to keep leaving walsh and constable on the field. Whereas my backline especially is quite weak with sicily, witherden, williams, smith, scrimshaw, hore (clark, burgess)
And my forward line is quite thin as well with Danger, heeney, kelly, moore, drew, parker (setters, fettucine)
Thanks for the help and RIP timmy english 🙁

    0

    2
      1. Doug is lame.

        I’d get the forward mate.

Walsh and Constable are safe as at M7/8.

Parker doubtful and Setters out, leaves your forward bench pretty thin.

When you consider Moore, Henney and maybe even Kelly are all dealing with injuries, and could be late outs ( god I hope not )

I would be getting a forward for sure.

        1

  35. Likely bringing in O’Brien and have a number of options:

    1. Can trade out a FWD/MID rookie and bring in a rookie at any line

…or a very left of field idea I’d like some thoughts on

    2. Considering trading Goldstein for O’Brien in order to bring in Whitfield/Lloyd, this would also send Moore FWD leaving only one on field FWD rookie. Essentially I will be fielding O’Brien instead of a FWD rookie and Whitfield/Lloyd for Goldstein.

Bit of a crazy idea with Goldstein playing well enough but I figure I’ll be going to Grundy at some point anyway.

    ps Gawn is my R1

    5

    1
  36. First trades for the season.

Gibbons -> O’Brien (Setters to the midfield, Bines to the forward bench)

Just too much money to be made in O’Brien with Sauce out to pass it up, and I’ve got a sneaking suspicion Gibbons might come out of the Carlton line-up. And struggle to break back in. Also works well to keep Bines on the forward bench for some loopholing, and when O’Brien is ready to go he can be replaced with a forward or midfield bubble boy via DPP, giving me more flexibility than if I didn’t have a ruck DPP.

Depending on selections, I’m also eyeing off Burgess to either Hore or Rotham. Most likely Hore. I know these guys aren’t guaranteed good job security, but the fact that they’re “next in line” and performing well when selected makes me think they’ll get games. Only need them to play 3-5 games and they’ll make $150-200k.

So – what do we think of:

    Gibbons -> O’Brien
    Burgess -> Hore

  37. TU: Scott to O’Brien
    TD: Gibbons to O’Brien

(Both through moving Setterfield to the midfield and Bines to the forward line)

    0

    10
    1. TU: Make another trade (Stack for either Gibbons or Scott), leaves me with 100k free in the cap.
      TD: Make no trades whatsoever

      0

      1
      1. You could just go Bines to O’Brien and get another rook generating cash. You’ve probably got another loop player by now.

        1

        0
        1. Only way I can go the straight swap Bines to O’Brien is if I trade Gibbons or Scott out for someone like Stack

          1

          0
  38. Still have 30 trades. Know I’m definitely going to go Butters >Stack. Undecided on my next move though.

T/U Parker to Rotham, pocket the cash and target Whitfield next week
    T/D D.Smith to Boak.

    2

    7
    1. Leave Butters. Had one bad game and can still make more cash, check out F.D’s Cow Talk.

Unless he’s dropped, I wouldn’t be trading him to Stack.

      3

      0
  39. Thinking of going straight swap R3 Zac Clarke to O’Brien just for some fast cash, have 27 trades left.

T/U – Good idea, Fast Cash
T/D – Bad idea, wasted trade

    4

    11
  40. For those of us who have no DPP to get involved in the O’Brien trade, is it worth the trade to get him at R3?

    TU: Yes
TD: No, waste of a trade

    9

    3
    1. If you haven’t had to burn a bunch of other trades already, and you don’t have any other pressing concerns, I think it’s a reasonable move to make. Swap out a player who will not make any money at all, for one who makes north of $200k if he continues on his current average for 4-6 weeks (which is supposedly how long Sauce is likely to be out for post-surgery).

      1

  41. Would really appreciate any thoughts

I have 28 trades left after sideways Fyfe to Neale and Balta to Parker over last two weeks. Team is:
Lloyd, Z Williams, Smith, Scrimshaw, Duursma, Clark B: Burgess Hore
Cripps, Neale, Macrae, Cognilio, B Crouch, Liberatore, Walsh, Constable B: Butters, Scott, Gibbons
    Grundy, Gawn B: Bines (Fwd/Rck)
Dangerfield, Kelly, Westhoff, D. Moore (can swing with Burgess), Drew, Parker B: Setterfield, Petrucelle

Main issue is lack of quality in backline and Westhoff now down -113K
Wanting to bring in ROB and swing Bines FWD but unsure whether to hold Westy or move him on/who for. Any suggestions welcome!

Initial thought was ROB for Butters (via Setters and Bines)….then thinking a Westy swap and either now or hold til the end with the amount he’s fallen!

    1

    1. Backline is fine I think it is the most reliable line to field 3 rookies.
as for Westhoff hes spewing cash u might be better off to field Bines onground instead bahaha. On a serious note u have a solid defense structure, really good mids & optimum rucks! do you still see Westhoff as top 10 even if port get the reliable Dixon or Marshall back fwd ??

  42. Would love some advice on this strange double dp trade:

    3 trades used
    Current Rucks: Gawn, Lobb/ Bines
Current Fwds: Danger, Heeny, Kelly, Worp, Dunkley, Drew/ Parker, Setterfield

    Dunkley to Mummy
    Setterfield to O’Brien

    Rucks: Gawn, Mummy/Obrien
Fwds: Danger, Heeney, Kelly, Worp, Lobb, Drew/ Parker, Bines

    Positives:
200 K in the bank for future upgrade
Upgrade O’brien in the future for a fwd & return Bines to Ruck loop enabling dp link with Lobb
Creates ruck coverage for regular season & the byes even if Obrien is traded prior
its different, not many teams structures would allow it
good cash generation from O’brien & likewise Mummy (est: 400-500k)
my team is already sucking a fat one may aswell take a risk

    Negatives:
Its 2 trades for very small points gain (est 10-20)
plus another trade to upgrade/downgrade O’brien in the future
Mummy isnt reliable & im kinda banking on him to be a keeper if i do this trade…
    weekens fwd line rookie coverage
Setterfield is not plump for the cull
I still dont have Grundy……damn u & your big toe!!!!

TD: Dont even think about it…your a penut
TU: Do it…your still a penut

    1. I P P O P.

I wouldn’t touch Mummy. Injury risk HUGE.

I also wouldn’t trade Dunkey to get him. He is still Averaging 80 ( 30ppg more than our problem forward rookies)

looking at your team my advice would be to trade Parker (He may miss any way as he was injured last week.)to ROB opening your R/F loophole.

ROB is scoring better than a forward rookie so play him on field. This also means you will have bench cover forward while Setters is out.

Ruck / Forward line would look like this:

      Max, ROB ….Bines

Danger Heeney, Kelly, Dunkley, Worp, Lobb,

      Bench Setters , Drew.

When ROB has made his $$ and another forward rookie is looking good. Then I would downgrade the worst scoring out of Worps or Dunks, Then upgrade ROB to Grundy if you can afford him 🙂

Best of luck whichever way you go.

      Just don’t go Mummy!

T/D: Bench with Setterfield (no emergency cover)

  44. Gday guys, I’m having a bit of a mental blank atm. I usually trade earlier in the week but this week I’ve had to do it later, which leads me to my question. Can I reverse my trades after tonight’s game (as long as it’s not a Pies or Brissie player) or can I not reverse trades full stop once the first game of the round starts?

    1

    0
    1. Not 100% but believe that trades that are completed no matter who they are can’t be reversed after the first game of the round.

If this is wrong someone please correct me

  45. Have 30 trades and 210k in bank.
Looking to trade polec for either bont or Libba. Polec doesn’t look like averaging over 100 and his price is dropping. Libba is on the up so I’ll make some money from the swap. Bont will be a top mid
    TU bont
    TD libba

  48. 27 trades left

TU: Parker – Marshall (use 1 trade)
    TD: Parker – Marshall + Schultz – O’Brien (use 2 trades)

Is O’Brien’s cash generation worth burning a second trade?

Would leave me with 25 which is a couple less than i would like.

  49. TU: Bines and Gibbons OUT, O’Brien and Stack IN
TD: Gibbons and Balta OUT, O’Brien and Stack IN (Bines moved in the forward bench, but I also have Setterfield on my forward bench)

If you think anything else otherwise, feel free to comment

  51. T/U – Trade Setters to O’Brien
T/D – Trade Butters to Stack and Balta to O’Brien
Essentially, is it worth an extra trade to go Balta to O’Brien?

  52. Ok.. so finally decided to bring in Mumford and O’Brien via DPP with Lobb and Bines. Just not sure Erich two to trade out between Setterfield, Petruccelle or Parker… thoughts?

    TU Setterfield and Parker

    TD Setterfield and Petruccelle

Comment to keep Setterfield and leave me a VC loophole option this week as WC pay before any of my studs…

  53. Is Gawn to O’Brien crazy? Pocket 600k for other upgrades, and then getting Max in later at reduced price.

  54. Who to trade out?

    TU – Gibbons
    TD – Setterfield

Feel like setterfield is the better play and will be worth holding. DPP for setterfield is also handy

  55. I Have all 30 trades I think it’s time
to use one! I will bring in ROB
I probably want to keep Bines as
    my permanent loophole.
The candidates to get the boot
    would be Gibbons, Setterfield or
    Parker.
    Tu: Gibbons
    Td: Setterfield
    Comment: Parker.

  56. Still have 29 trades left. Need to generate some cash given some rookies are stagnating for a round or two.

Thinking Burgess to Hore and Sweet to O’Brien now that Sauce is out for at least the next 6 weeks.

I can use Setters for the next couple of weeks as a loophole. If Sauce stays out until after Adelaide’s bye it improves my bye strategy too.

  57. Thinking about upgrading & bringing in Scully!

He’s been out for a long time but his running game looks right on track again. Hawthorn seemed to be using him much more then smith on the outside.

    T/U am I crazy
T/D risky but might pay off

  58. Anyone take a stab how much Petruccelle will bump up in price after his 100 point game?
I’m thinking of upgrading him next week to Marshall.

    1. You want to let him grow for at least three weeks before trading out! You will lose out on a lot of cash if you get rid of him so fast.

  59. ok…thinking of a change in strategy…currently around 6K Season Rank

…a few years ago i started with Witts and it proved to be a successful move….i know there are a lot of “what ifs” and pro’s and con’s…but trading Gawn to ROB nets me a war chest of $650k to use next week on two premiums

my major concern is trading ROB when he his fully fat to the most inform Ruck at the time but with baby cows being born each way i think it can be managed

if i make the trade and with cows fattening i can then snag another two premos next week with a further two over the following fortnight..

this would give me 17 premos by round 8….plus ROB and 4 other rookies on field….probably from Walsh, Collins, Duursma, Butters, Constable, Setters Petrolhead

with so many vanilla teams around I think it might be worth a punt and create a real POD going forward

TU Your Mad..crawl back into your hole STUPID IDEA
TD You’ve got me thinking that it might just work
