Trades Left

Written by Motts on July 30 2013

With only 5 weeks remaining of SC in 2013, its time to determine how you’re travelling compared to every other expert coach who visits this site.

How many trades do you have left?

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

  1. 4 Before this week, but I have Swallow, Nic Nat and Hanley to sort out…thinking Swallow to Jobe and Hanley to Dixon,
Natanui to be the most expensive non playing R/F swing in the game…

  2. Thanks Motts. 4 left for me. Thinking Clisby to X. Richards for DPP with Staker. Then turning Mitchell to K. Jack at this stage. Will probably change numerous times before lockout. Leaves me with 2.

  3. Originally had 6 reserve trades for finals with a complete team… Then murphy, jobe, Dixon, birchall, Hanley and now Swallow got injured. Thinking I’ll save the last trade and let T.Mitchell cover swallow for now…

And I thought the extra trades would make supercoach a cake-walk this year…

  4. Four for me, but as with many, I think that Nic Nat will go this week.

The ‘indefinite’ status of his injury, combined with the ‘definitely not’ status of the Eagles playing any footy in September means they shut him down I think.

    Out: Nic Nat
    In: A Walker

I’m not a huge fan of the fact that he (Walker) plays Fremantle this week, as I think that he will likely get the pretty effective De Boer tag, but in the finals he plays the Dogs, Richmond (137 in round 1), Essendon (140 in round 11) and Port (93 in round 8).

  5. This is on an entirely different topic, but I have only just seen the round 23 draw and my first thought was:

A little shattered that I won’t be able to loophole Ablett and Swan/Pendlebury as they overlap on the Sunday.

    Second thought:

Definitely head down to watch the Bombers/Tigers game Saturday night, should be a nice September tune-up.

Ahh, how SuperCoach has changed the world.

  6. 4 trades and had no plans to trade until i realised i have MJ this week in LoEC and i’m likely to drop from 4th to 8th this week unless something special happens. So mark me down for 3 trades remaining.

  7. 4 trades left but Hanley, Danger, Goodes and Nicholls riding the pine, and only 5k in the bank.

Not sure what to do with Danger – would hate him to play and struggle, as with his high BE his trade value would plummet. If I am going to trade him it needs to be before he plays next.

Leaning towards crossing fingers and holding Danger, trading Nicholls to Grundy and Goodes to Mckenzie, leaving 2 trades and 265K in the bank – and hoping Hanley comes back ASAP.

  8. 8 trades left , secured top 4 in all my leagues, except LoEC 3 which Im just 4th…..

So I also have Hanley, Danger,Nicholls, Nic Nat……Definitely keeping Danger…. I actually hope he has another week off so hes right for sc finals ……

So the dilemma is who do you get rid off first ….Nicholls who should only be out for a week or Nic Nat who might not return?????

  9. I’m absolutely hopeless with trades. Far too trigger happy, I always run out before finals. Was plain bad luck trading D.Thomas and Birchall in and out. Biggest mistake was LeCras. Had him to start the year, took him out after he broke his arm, brought him back in when he made the speedy recovery……only to trade him out again due to poor form. I’ll never bloody learn……..

  11. 6 trades left but am feeling really flat about my team. I thought I was close to done two weeks ago but Danger, Hanley, Birch, NicNat and Nicholls in two weeks really hurts. I know you need a ‘little’ luck in this game but i think it is too far skewed this year. I am thinking Dreamteam’s two trades per week may be the way to go for Supercoach next year. What do others think?

  12. 6 trades 13 k thinking i will use 3 trades before the first final as it is so important to win that and have the week off. Issues Nic Nat Nichols and Goodes as Danger should b back. If i can get through to the prelim it would leave me with 3 trades not ideal but enough.
Thumbs up Nicnat Goodes Nichols out for Minson Mckenzie and Hall/Grundy?
Thumbs down Nicnat Goodes Nichols out for Goldstein Thompson Hall/Grundy?
    Thoughts please
    Team:

Ablett Pendlebury Swan Danger Kennedy Priddis Barlow Fyfe ( Mitchell Saunders)
    Jacobs NicNat (Nichols Rowe)
Cox Franklin Rockcliff Kennedy S Johnson Martin (Staker Kennwdy)

  13. Just the one left. Holding on to it for dear life! Cutting it fine with Scotland at D6 and Birch/Hanley currently on the bench inj.

Don’t really need to trade unless I’m cropping a donut.

  14. Big 0 trades left for me.
Plenty of cover on the bench.
    Hanly out/ Nic Nat out.
I can’t see Brisbane playing Hanly due
    To not making finals. Thoughts

  15. I have 4 trades, 3rd on the ladder, going for league win. I have Hanley off with Staker filling in, Nicholls on the bench so lots of $$$ hanging around. Should I trade Nicholls to a rookie and upgrade for finals leaving 2 trades to potentially trade out Zorko and ? Your thoughts?

  16. Envious of all those with 4-6 trades left!
Was planning on having around the same until plagued by injuries.
Will have 1 trade left after Swallow to Fyfe (or similar)
