Written by Motts on March 12 2011

Word is that Tendai Mzungu was helped off the ground by trainers after doing a knee today against the Eagles.

And with that happy news lets kick off the long weekend banter.

Tendai Mzungu injury update: following scans it appears to be his left medial ligament and some bone bruising.

  4. Looking @ McKERNAN to replace TENDAI. Might therefore have to explore DPP D/F option in the D line. Anybody know if TALIA or RETZLAFF are likely to play early?

  5. I went to the Cats Blues practice match today to check on progress of the two teams… Decided I’ll try to do a little wrap….. Just need to find a few mins.

  6. Always happens in 3’s – First Callinan, then Mzungu now Port Adelaide’s Jarrod Irons is injured. Can’t confirm officially but mixed reports from a jarred knee or an ankle injury. Again unsure how serious.

  7. Mmmmm, Roo Bloke is right. All and sundry would have had him locked into his team. Really, all those mugs out there who had him originally based on the ‘best picks’ pages in the HS, will now have to do there own research (guessing many will be SC Gold).

Any one got any inside info of Jasper Pittard of Port. He’s meant to have bulked up from last season and he was pushing senior selection before the end of season until getting injured. During draft week, the Falcons recruiting managers was quoted saying “After he met with Sydney, (Swans coach) Paul Roos told his people ‘don’t worry about drafting him, let’s put him on next year as an assistant coach”. If he plays, he will be a great trade to upgrade to Ablett/Swann if you don’t already have them as Port are one of the last teams to have a bye.

  8. Also, Mzungu only has a medial and bone bruising. Depending on the level it could be as low as short as 4 weeks recovery time.

  9. Over on Tooserious someone’s tweeted that Mzungu’s out for 6 weeks. Add a WAFL hit out and then two rounds before the price jumo he could become a pearler of a downgrade option. Moo, Moo, Moo!!
