  1. Star Fremantle ruckman Aaron Sandilands has suffered a serious hamstring injury that will see him miss the start of the AFL home and away season.

The three-time All-Australian suffered a partial tear to his hamstring tendon during Saturday night’s pre-season cup match against Geelong at Patersons Stadium.

Although he will not have to undergo surgery, the 30-year-old will be sidelined for up to eight weeks.

That would rule Sandilands out of the remainder of the Dockers’ pre-season campaign and the first few rounds of the season proper.

Fremantle’s first match is against West Coast on March 23.

“It’s certainly unfortunate that Aaron will be out for an extended period of time, but we have great confidence in our structures and players to be able to fill the role,” said Fremantle football operations manager Chris Bond.

  2. Not sure where to post this one, but seeing you’re welcoming Rookie Coaches, I have a rookie question.

Where or how can we predict the price rise of players, in particular that of Cash Cows early in the season (after rd 3), for those who may be looking to count their chickens before they’ve hatched:)

For example, what would O’Meara’s price look like after rds 3, 4, 5 & 6, if he averaged 75 through the first 6 rds.

    Cheers.

  3. General rookie question. How do people rate “Supercoach Gold” as value for money. $20-00 for the whole season, just want some thoughts. Any comments.
