With Riewoldt the most popular player in Supercoach and placed in 54% of teams, more than likely you have a decision to make. Best case appears to be 14 weeks on the sidelines, worst case, he’s on the pine for the rest of the season. Either way, you can’t afford to have $600k on the bench for that long, and if your gonna use a trade, do it now! He was the best forward, and worth every cent, so you need to be looking for the best forward!

Supercoach Talk had a poll, and first 5 in order were Johno Brown ($579k 147), Cyril Rioli ($417k 111), Ryan O’Keefe ($597k 132), Paul Chapman ($607k 121) & Matty Pavlich ($518k 98).
What do I think……
Browny, Chappy are both injury prone, and Cyril is fighting OP….. So no way I’m taking Cyril. I love Chappy, but can’t afford the hammy. Browny has Fevalenko by his side taking the best defender which has shown in his scores, and he is fit so I’m going with Browny with an Ave of 149. I already have Pav, and ROK is a great option worth serious consideration.
The only other two I would consider are Didak ($530k 91) and Goodes ($568k 93) who despite poor performances thus far, are rock solid contenders in Supercoach and are certain to step-it-up.
I’m going with Brown-dog….. what/who do you think?

I have Browny and ROK already so leaning towards Chappy as I love him… he has been in my side consistently for the last few season but missed out this year so might be the time to bring him and hope that this year he gets through unscathed.
Although the Pavalator has considerable appeal seeing as though I’ll end up with an extra 80K in the bank due to their price difference.
But if I didn’t have him then Brown Dog would be the man I’d go for, it’s a no brainer.

Yeah, It’s alright but my rucks suffered for it. I took a punt this year not to get any premium rucks, cos most of them are so inconsistent scoring wise, it might pay off it might not.

I got Browny, which means my forward line has the two Brissy JBs in it now.
Next forward trade will be Hall/Gia for ROK or Pav – leabing heavily towards ROK of course, but we’ll see – trade won;t be for 4-6 weeks if I can get away with it.

How come every1 keeps leaning towards JB/ROK and PAV/ Chappy. What is wrong with DIDAK and DAVIS as a replacement? They havent had the best start but they are 2 A class players and normally consistent who play in the midfield.

And if you’re looking at an immediate trade, Didak’s BE is 164 with an expected drop in price of about $30K and Davis is 149 with a similar price change. These guys are definitely worth considering but not until their prices level out and they show a bit more form.

yep reg grundy is the one for me i reckon. have JB and ROK already, have used a couple of trades already so im wary of the injuries cyril and chappy might get. also an extra 150k will go nicely to upgrading a rookie mid in a few weeks.

My thinking re:Roo trade is a bit different from everyone else so far that i’ve read. I’m going to swap Roo for Petersen and upgrade Scully to Cooney. I regret not putiing Cooney in my starting team, but I went with Pendles instead, only because AC’s pre season scores were below par. My plan the following week is to upgrade Henderson to Didak the week after. Thoughts??

i wouldnt be so quick to bench barlow. it didnt really work for the cats last week. perhaps theyll let jones chase some footy this week or at least not go as hard as he did to boomer a couple of weeks ago. i suppose it depends who your bench mids are. mine are shuey and jetta and i still think barlow will beat them.
