Who’s Performance Were You Happiest With – R3

by Motts on April 12, 2010

Pretty fair to say that Nick Riewoldt’s 25 was probably the lowlight of R3 for many of us. Especially those who traded him in and then captained him (ouch). But who got you fired up?

Would’ve loved a multiple voting system but, really, GAJ saved my bacon due to the big ‘C’ I entrusted to him.

BTW, the Adelaide media is going to be going off today with the “feral” behaviour that Collingwood are trying to sweep under the carpet.

I think its more concerning that it takes the Mighty Collingwood Football Club from Victoria to do something, anything to create something newsworthy in Adelaide. It will be all over the 8 pages of the “Tiser” pushing the regular front page news of a miniature horse “being taken for a ride” to page 2 where it belongs. Carn the maggies.

Anything to deflect attension from the woefull performances of both Adelaide teams so they are not accountable and can go on living in their fantasy world. Adelaide for the Spoon!!

I have no intention of providing any defense on any of these charges. The paper IS woeful, the teams WERE both woeful on the weekend, Adelaide-based supporters have massive chips and their shoulders about anything Victorian and………hang on……….I’m not so sure about the spoon – we’ve still got a bit of competition on that one.

oooo scary Mike

The Blues are coming to town this week to prolong Adelaide’s woes too.

Really pleased with Hall’s score, considering quite a few would have jumped off him after his performance in the first two rounds. Special mention to Reg Grundy (again) – hope he’s a keeper! Loved GAJ’s effort, but so did everyone else.

Good. Perhaps they can take Milne off our hands? He’d fit right in

i was pleased that ablett both scored well *and* looked good on the ground, but for me it was big bad barry who finally put a score on the board that shows me why i selected him. let’s hope for many more, eh baz?

I am the sole Bastinac voter. You expect 150 out of GAJ and 100+ out of most of the boys listed above. 100 out of a rookie is great value. Hope to see it again this week.

On another note, how bad are Scully’s scores?

102 from podsiadly also fist the same bill.

Big shout out to the Brownlow and Coleman medalist too!

Teckst April 12, 2010 at 9:42 am

Yeah Barry Hall, pulling it out in the last quarter and making his break even was impressive. Boomer was impressive too but I didn’t have him.

Grimmo April 12, 2010 at 9:43 am

I voted Hodge but have to agree with you Motts…Bastinac outstanding. Made Kerr look like a rookie.

Dan April 12, 2010 at 9:52 am

Pods 102, especially after taking the punt and putting him on the field instead of Gumby. It’ll be interesting to see what happens next week with mooney back

Bastanic for me, he’s possibily another midfielder I dont need to upgrade. Also Peterson due to the injurys to Danger & Roo he’ll be a good backup.

whats everybodies thinking on roo
trade him out, keep him in saving a trade
who will you be trading him out for ??

Reply

scratcher April 12, 2010 at 11:31 am

Must be traded rumor has it he is out for at least 12 weeks.
A straight swap for brownie is the obvious choice if you have not already got him.

Reply

dunx April 12, 2010 at 11:41 am

yeah dont have browney, was thinking bout cyril or boomer
but not sure

Reply

Chris April 12, 2010 at 2:43 pm

Any thoughts on trading Ben McGlynn in for Roo? I’ve never considered McGlynn but seems to be getting a lot of the ball and points in the last two weeks. His last year stats seem pretty inconsistent though.

Reply

Will April 12, 2010 at 3:33 pm

I had McGlynn in my team for Rd 1. Traded him for Riscitelli after a disappointing 47. Been slashing my wrists ever since…

Reply

Motts April 12, 2010 at 3:40 pm

He’s averaging 114, you can’t be THAT unhappy.

Reply

Will April 12, 2010 at 3:44 pm

still hurts. missed out on 120odd points and an unnecessary trade, oh well.
The Riewoldt one hurt more as I decided 5 min before game started not to change capt to JB

Will April 12, 2010 at 3:47 pm

Also, good call on the Jamar/JB trade over Byrnes/Kruz by the way! I’m way up from that trade last week :)

Ok, so I’ve put a post-it note on the top corner of my monitor which reads: “JUST ONE TRADE THIS WEEK!”

I just hope the glue holds ’til Friday.

Did the wife end up knocking you off, Mike?

Did she beat you in SC too? ;-)

Yeah, she beat me by about 30 . . . spent last night doing the dishes in an apron.
