Ask any SC Coach you know , “How is Your SC team travelling”
Invariably the answer will revolve around one , if not all of the following responses.
1) Injuries
2) Players not performing
3) Players dominating
4)The young kids and the $ increase value they bring to your side
5) Captain Choice
6) Emergencies (See blog 000 Call Emergency)
etc ….etc…..etc
Now I want to ask the important question , the one that SC Coaches hate to talk about .
What is your worst trade thus far ?
This question is normally more effective past the half way mark of the season , by this time your early trades have you either high fiving your mate over a hookers back or sitting in front of your laptop , pondering …..
Why did I trade that donkey in ?!?!?!?
Now Bob’s not afraid to stick his mitt up in the air and be the first to say , at this early stage of the season i have
Traders Remorse
About 3 weeks ago I looked at my backline and figured it needed a boost , it needed someone back there that could deliver me a solid 100 points a week , it needed a leader , it needed a consistent performer , some one I could trust !
Leigh Harding
I had $450k to spend , $450k !!!! , my choices were basically everyone , I had Goddard , I had Cornes , Lockyer etc.
Sam Gilbert had just scored 134 , 78 , 130 and 112 , impressive numbers indeed.
In light of this glaring information I traded in a player who looks and plays like Leonardo DeCaprio in Whats eating Gilbert Grape !
Harding has scored the following since I brought him in 62 , 92 , 84 and 54
Please let me know your worst trades to date boys , this blog will grow legs throughout the season and be a place we can all moan and groan about the muppets that offer so much but deliver so little.

I would have to say that donkey from the west Hanson, what was i thinking ?? that`s right, i wasn`t thinking. I traded him in around week 3 due to a lack of fit players in my fwd line, he seemed like he best of a bad bunch for what i could afford, then he let me down. It wasn`t the $$ it was the waste of a trade that grinds me.
Will be a BUSY day today scanning ins and outs. Very happy to see Ziebell and Higgins back, would like to have Beams and Houlihan in the starting 22 rather than emergencies but better than nothing.
Maybe this week i can get by without trading …

I’m kicking myself for drafting in Boomer at the beginning of the season. But other than that I’ve been reasonably happy. Even the Jesse White out, John Meesen in trade will make me about $100k when I ship Meesen off. Nick Naitanui can’t get up to speed fast enough.

Hmmmm, cant say I have one. My side is flying but I will be sure to add to this when the inevitable “fall flat on my face with both feet firmly planted in my gob” happens.

Actually, scratch my previous comment. Trading Jarrad Waite in this week has been my worse trade to date. The prick scored a 2 and I will lose my round this week to Bob. #$^$%#^&
