For some of us, thanks to the bye rounds, our 2012 Supercoach season is as good as finished. I’m considering a ski holiday to get my mind over my coaching problems. There are plenty of great Mt Buller holiday packages available if anyone wants to join me?

A friend from work (who’s a girl) got like 900 points in her midfield alone in one round this year, I think it was round 2, I know it was early on. I was stunned!

I must admit I had a theory at the start of the season to hold back on trades & do 2/3 trades each week of the bye rounds to maximise my overall status….it worked WAY better for me that I anticipated to be honest! I might be in the minority here, but I did’nt mind the bye rounds at all…

Up the top of your ‘TEAM’ page there are three tabs. Click on ‘TEAM HISTORY’. Your rankings are there round-by-round and, while there is no average number per se, just divide the ‘CUMULATIVE POINTS’ by ten.

Put a fair bit of thought into the byes at the start of the year looking to cop no donuts with no trades in RD11 and then 1 or 2 donuts with 2 or 3 trades in RD 12 & 13. Wasn’t quite that smooth but still a good result.
That plan will go out the window pretty quick next year if we have 6 bye rounds to deal with. Will be completely pointless.

At the end of R6 I was ranked 74,714 so I started making my trades with the “byes” in mind, I kinda knew I was going to make up some ground during the bye rounds with a bit of luck. But it doesn’t help when you cop injuries and non-sections across the MRB, you can’t factor them in

Started round 11 ranked 620, pulled 9 trades but now ranked 48. Scored 1650, 2150, 1860 yet last two weeks were first league losses for the season. Stiff losing with those last two scores.

Out of interest, Mattlee, how many trades do you now have left? I considered doing 9 during the bye weeks as well, as I saw this as the prime place to increase rankings, but ended up just doing the six (before the second and third MBR’s). Good to see that it worked out for you!
