We’re just over halfway through the season, and our inaugural winner siddles is in the box-seat to go back-to-back! Can anyone chase him down over the next three weeks?
In case anyone wants to add up their own score and double-check my work, up-to-date scores for every game are attached below.
One more thing…
Our AFLW Fantasy game is fun in its current setup, but being a dead-team league, it can lack excitement on a week-to-week basis. Wouldn’t it be great if there was some kind of head-to-head action every week? Well, now there is.
Introducing the AFLW Fantasy play-offs……..
The top 8 teams as of round 4 will face off in a seeded fashion, as shown below:
For those of us who didn’t make the cut-off, there’s the minor premiership. Of those currently ranked 9 to 26, the 4 highest-scoring teams this week will be seeded, and face off against one another in rounds 6 and 7, as shown below.
And now, to the technicalities:
As it stands, there are no prizes for this, unless somebody wants to donate one (get in touch with ‘Schwarzwalder at supercoachtalk dot com’)
As some of you may be aware, Champion Data likes to go back over the games, and occasionally change a stat here and there. For the overall leaderboard, the rule has been that any changes to the scores count, so long as they happen before I add up the final scores for the season. This will continue to be the case.
However, this doesn’t work for a head-to-head competition, so it will have its own rule on this: final scores for each round of the head-to-head competition will be taken at least 24 hours after the conclusion of the last game of the round, at which point the head-to-head scores will be considered ‘locked’, regardless of what Champion Data might do later on.
In the event of a tie, the higher-seeded team will be deemed the winner. Seeding, in this case, refers to the pecking order as of right now, or this time next week in the case of the minor premiership.
Good luck, and enjoy the next few weeks!

That’s now three 200+ scores in a row for Erin Phillips. Assuming today’s score doesn’t change, that’s a 3-round average of 240 (233, 264, 224) and a season average of 205.
I’m assuming every team would have Phillips in it, right? And probably Prespakis too?
Most, but not all.
20/26 teams have Phillips.
16/26 teams have Prespakis.

Wow. If Kiara Bowers ($100K) wasn’t already the Greatest Rookie of All Time, she just became the first ever player to post a 300+ score.
So glad I had her in my team
I wish I did! I was put off by the injury history (she was a marquee signing for Fremantle heading into the 2017 season, but was yet to play a game prior to this year due to persistent injury problems). Oh well, 20/20 hindsight I suppose.
That’s the reason I had her in, due to the fact she was a marquee signing. Surely had quality and wouldn’t be dropped. Wasn’t expecting these scores though
As per the rules I outlined earlier, the ‘locked’ scores and results for the head-to-head competition will be up sometime after 9PM AEDT tomorrow night.
2759 this week, I think. Thanks to Kiara BOWERS. Holy cow!
