Breaking Even Rd20

Written by Schwarzwalder on July 29 2019

At this stage of the season, BreakEvens are relatively useless. What matters right now are price/value and total points OVER THE LAST FOUR WEEKS.

  1. I can just look at these stats at the Supercoach site. The Breaking evens in the the Breaking Even post isn’t helpful in the slightest.

  2. I am using the breakevens now more than ever for my last 1 or 2 spots.

Anyone know Whitfield, Gaff and Treloar?

  3. I must admit this thread does become unimportant and the end of the year and the averages don’t mean too much. However it must be said that it great asset through the year!

  5. I don’t get it.
Breakevens mean more now than ever.
With low trades, I would like to know if I can’t get a player now ($), or maybe wait coz he’s BE is high & I’d be able to afford him next week or 2.
It was such a luxury to use this thread as a tool all season & now it’s useless!

  6. For those that want the BreakEvens, https://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/supercoach_breakevens

This shouldn’t come as a great surprise……I’ve posted the same thing over the last four years. The majority of Coaches are at full premium shortly after the Byes. Coming into Finals, most are just using trades to cover injuries (based on price, less emphasis on BreakEvens).

  7. Seriously people be greatfull for this site. The website for be’s gets posted weekly. If u r to lazy to do your own research maybe SuperCoach isn’t for u.
Keep up the great work Schwarzwalder. Most of us appreciate it.

    1. Hear, Hear.

The amount of work Schwarzwalder completes is unrivalled and shoulders a heavy burden of the site’s duties which after approximately 20 rounds plus pre-season starts to take a toll.

It’s been made abundantly clear that the breakevens article would be reduced over the past couple of weeks and for all of those complaining for the lack of breakevens a solution to the problem would be volunteering to take over the article for the remainder of the season.

    2. Don’t get me wrong, I very much appreciate the work done by everyone involved on this site & if I knew how to, I wld contribute but I’m just not very tech savvy.
My whole point is why still have a thread called Break Even when you don’t show breakevens & wldn’t u much rather ppl stayed on this site instead of going off to others to get their SC info…

  8. Thanks for an amazing season, Schwarz

Considering you actually live on the other side of the world, the work behind the scenes you do for the SCT site is phenomenal!

    Enjoy that warm weather 🙂
