A popular feature at SCT, we’ve shortlisted the most SC-relevant players for you as a handy guide (mainly those owned by 5% of teams or more, with a few exceptions).
For the Supercoach newbies out there, the Breakeven is the score needed by each player to hold his price. If they score above that Breakeven value, their $$ value will rise. If they score below that Breakeven point, they will lose value. Sorry if I’ve overlooked something. Be sure to let me know in the Comments below and I’ll update it as soon as I can. If you have any questions about Breakevens, don’t hesitate to ask in the Forum and I’m sure our friendly SCT Community will help out.

Thanks, can I ask What J.Kennedy’s (SYD) BE is?
78. If he plays well this week against the Roos, his BE will be in the basement….
Jacobs tag?!?
I don’t think tagging has ever been particularly successful on JPK. He doesn’t really run, he just sort of appears where the contested possessions are. It’d be like tagging a bigger, stronger version of diesel Williams.
Short of holding him, or off ball shepherding which would lead to a free kick, you’d be better off to just rely on his recent poor form and tag the other ball magnets (eg Parker, with Hanners out).
He really only had one huge quarter.
But hey, you gotta find a job for Jzcobs I guess. I’d go for Parker or Heeney myself.
Christensen out for McLean this week
Coffield to Cole
Garlett to Spargo
Jacobs to Grundy
T/U
T/D
U could wait on Spargo. He played his first game on the weekend.
Merret TU
Macrae TD
Merrett has averaged around 110 the last two seasons, and I reckon he’s likely to do that from here on in.
I’d therefore only pay 100k more for Macrae if he’s likely to keep this average of around 120 for the rest of the season (which would be a significant improvement on his past averages for the year)
What does everyone think of
TOUHY AND BONNER- OUT
DUMAN AND HURLEY- IN
Thumbs UP or nah
Also comment if you think I should instead get a Premo mid for 620K or a Fwd Premo for 620k
I can basically get any premo in any position but I’m unsure which line to improve on
Dom Barry BE?
28
he’ll struggle to reach 28 😉
Matt Crouch and Dusty looking like tasty upgrade targets in the coming weeks!
Matt Crouch is my main target. Top 6 mid easily.
Crouch is definitely on my radar when he finally bottoms out in a few rounds. The quintessential fallen premium.
He also does better in the 2nd half of the season. I have been thinking he might be last in the mids, depending on how else the other options are doing
T Kelly to M Crouch will be delightful in 2 weeks.
Not sure why you would trade Kelly when he’s pumping out tons every other week, surely you have bigger problems to deal with
Justin Westhoff ($511800) Premium Forward / Mid – BE 51
The highest scoring forward so far this year deserves a mention.
Very durable as only missed 1 game in 6 years & definitely needs to be strongly considered.
Potential Buddy trade
My new news on Buddy is a potential 4 to 6 weeks.
I traded him to Higgins last week.
Sorry guys but Buddy needs to go.
I decided to skip on Higgins after he got dropped after he kicked a couple of snags on debut. Not sure if his job is locked in, but I am half thinking about:
Buddy –> Higgins
Holman –> Danger / Macrae / Hoff
Considerations:
– Will they keep playing Higgins and will he continue to score, I already have forward line depth issues without introducing this
– Danger is going to drop more $ with that BE, Hoff may be affected by Ryder, and Macrae looks solid
I got Westhoff in Round 2 for Ryder.
I will have to cover him for his China Bye.
At least he has DPP so I can park him on my Mid bench that week.
lowest score of 82 makes him reliable with a huge ceiling (147) this week.
Get on The Hoff Train!
What happens when Ryder is back (this week)?
Finlayson and holman for danger and duman or
Holman and henry for sicily and duman
Danger has more to drop. Sicily is on the up if he can stay on the field.
Garlett to Spargo
Banfield to Fyfe
TU: yes
TD: no
TU: Titch
TD: Macrae
What’s Spargo’s job security look like? Tempted to go a week early, against all SC sense
He’s got incredible pedigree if that counts for anything.
You should be looking towards the hawks rookie …i watched him play he is a jet
Josh P Kennedy breakeven this week??
Above.
Possible trade this week, can go Coffield into Howe? Coffield b/e basically at his average and Howe probably the cheapest he’ll be all year, but can he be a top 6 defender?
T/U – do trade
T/D – hold off trade
Thanks
Does anyone rate Howe?
I have 295$k – 25 trades
Tu-I can do bonner and walters for Howe and westoff.
Td-Or should i go bonner for hurley or Yeo
Wait a week then downgrade walters to rookie and barry to 2nd rookie save cash crouch and martin
Comment- another option??
I reckon Walters should be your focus. Not sure Westhoff is the best option tho. Depends who you don’t have already, but presume you don’t have Mundy who should be a better long-term option. Westhoff will likely average less once Ryder is back up and running.
How much would you then have left for a DEF, ie Bonner + cash?!
Good luck
Fwd line..
Heeney-mclean-petracca-smith
Frisch-guelfi-henry
Inj: walters
Backline
Laird-simpson-sicily
Finlayson-doedee-murray
Bonner-mirra
If i trade to mundy $187 500
I could go Hurn-Witherden-savage – howe etc
