There were 41 entries for the initial SCT Crystal Ball competition. I’ve processed the entries now and I thought I’d take a chance at the start of the season to give a quick run down on the entries. Listed below is the breakdown of who said what. Take note that many of these entries were done during the early stages of the JLT hence why Davies-Uniacke came up as the #1 rookie.

Zim gave us two entries, one real and one for gags where everything was Melbourne based. 3 coaches forgot to register a vote for the highest round score column so they’re giving up a headstart on the field as is the unlucky coach who nominated Libba as their #1 midpricer. Someone nominated Robertson as the #1 defender. I think they meant Roberton, but since there is a Robertson in the line, Robertson it is. The midpricer section was the one with the greatest variance in the entries (17) and not surprisingly Ruck saw the fewest nominations (6).

Next update will be after Round 11 when the first category is locked away and I’ll have a look at who’s shot and who’s looking good.

Also, a reminder about the SCT Cup. Rounds 1-3 are qualification rounds. The top 230 in the SCT Group at that point make the SCT Cup. Do what you need to do to make sure you qualify. I’m personally just outside the cut off so a big two weeks are needed to get me into the 2nd edition of the SCT Cup.
