  1. FWIW – Heppell has netted the 7th most Home and Away supercoach points over the last 4 seasons.

Just hard to grab him when Merrett is a much better SC pickup that happens to be even cheaper in 2019.

    1. He’s one to watch, I think – the addition of Shiel should attract opposition attention, which hopefully frees up Heppell.

full disclosure: one-eyed Bombers fan, but at the moment he’s not in my SC team either. Agree on the choice of Merrett – he’ll definitely have more space with Shiel in the guts with him.

    2. Maybe a decent post-Rd12 upgrade target reading that Hutta and looking at Adam’s stats in his observations. He really should score better than he does.

  2. Essendons midfield structure is one im interested in seeing how it lines up. Especially with the inclusion of Shiel and the progression of McGrath. Does Heppel play more off a half back this year? Dev Smith more forward time?

Merrett the only bomber for me who is an absolute lock at 544k.

  3. Sorry to go off-topic but I’d like to mention some of the superb performances from some our SCT regulars in the recently completed Supercoach BBL competition.

We had 36 players enter the SCT BBL group I created with 12 players finishing in the top 1000 which included 3 key contributors from SCT, with 2 finishing in the top 200 out of 88,067 involved in the competition.

    Death Adder- 131st
    Adam- 156th
    Chillo-831st
Also Catta finished in the top 2000 (1834th).

In addition to the aforementioned, 3 of the leagues I was involved in at SCT finished in the top 100 and I’m sure that other leagues created by Death Adder, Father Dougal or others filled at SCT finished among the top 100.

    Pound the Priest- 45th
    SCT3- 57th
    SuperCoachtalk#4-84th

Hopefully we can attract more of the SCT regulars/visitors to participate in the BBL 09 version.

    1. Also I forgot to mention that the winner of BBL05 (http://supercoachtalk.com/7-winners-in-7-days-thanh-bbl05) Thanh (known as Bonsai at SCT) finished 12th this season. I highly recommend coaches participating in BBL 09 to visit Supercoach Scores (where he is a moderator as listed in the article) as they provide a wide range of resources such as a dedicated BBL forum as well as fixture analysis, international players availability, past averages for certain players, etc.
