  1. This is a great site with knowledgeable SC minds contributing and I apologise if I’m coming across as ‘trolling’ but I’m not sure the point of giving all the above information and to finish with ‘irrelevant’.

I believe we understand who is relevant and who is not, before delving into the nitty gritty stats as above. I would understand if Sidebottom was a fringe top 10 mid in SC terms, but he just isn’t and most who visit this site know that.

It was like reading stick mag with no pictures

  2. Great Job Adam. I think that the Pies will be a very different team this year because they may win it. For this reason for me , in my “to watch list” Beams , Adams and Treloar will be the ones who if they lift their game, would make it happen for them and add real value. Sidebottom is always a gun. But just Like Pendles, I dont think he can lift it any higher.
Dihi, as you are new, maybe it is better to be patient and try to understand the jargon of the site. Irrelevant means you can have him as a POD if you like, but not advisable as your top 5 Mids to start.
Ultimately, you choose who you want in your team but here, it is more about supercoach than AFL. and most punters here know exactly what it means. Dont know if you can understand my attempt to explanation but thats why there is a comments section so feel free to say why you disagree.

    1. Great points Jeannot. I have seen a few teams with Rusty named, so the article proves particularly relevant for them 😉

    2. Thanks Jeanott, but your points support what I’m saying. Yes it’s about Supercoach, not AFL as such. If I was building a new footy club, Sidebottom would be on my list of recruits (he is a gun)… However in trying to build a winning SC team, he is…. well ‘irrelevant’ unless you are in desperate need to trade in due to cash flow issues at the big end of the year.

      1. Adam’s list of 80-odd premiums includes about 20 that are “fringe”. Steele has averaged 113 in the past and nearly won a Brownlow last year. I could think of worse fringe premos to be taking a look at. Adam has then given his honest opinion judging by the numbers. Process of elimination at times…..

  3. There would be people considering sidey, adam highlights his stats, makes an observation, then gives his verdict. Very useful.

  4. nice nickname inclusion All Saints (rusty) …appreciate the comments I do. sometimes I feel your ego gets in the way of a discussion. no need to impress because your name appears enough! there are a lot of people like me that read and don’t comment…. a sidey discussion? people that picked him up last yr would have been stoked after an initial drop. I didn’t risk it but hindsight would have got me valuable pts. Sidey isn’t relevant right now but might be. I chose to recruit Zerrett last yr and happy I did. this year there will be a fringe premo who drops early and I can’t wait
