Game Chat – Adelaide v Greater Western Sydney

Written by Father Dougal on June 3 2018

WHERE AND WHEN: Adelaide Oval, Sunday, June 3, 4.10pm ACST

SUMMARY
This is a massive game in the context of the season for both clubs. The Crows will be desperate for a response after their embarrassing 91-point drubbing at the hands of Melbourne in Alice Springs last weekend, while the Giants have lost four straight by an average losing margin of 41 points. Given their huge injury list, if the Crows (6-4) can win two out of their next three games heading into the mid-season bye, then they’re in a pretty good position when their reinforcements arrive. For the Giants (4-1-4), who have also had a horror run with injury, they’ve simply got to find a way to reinvigorate their attack after struggling to score in the past six weeks. Having co-captain Phil Davis back from concussion will help shore up their defence, but they really need to discover some run and carry from half-back. The Giants must take the game on and take a few risks against a Crows’ side out to prove a point.

Father Dougal’s Tip: Hard to pick GWS right now. They could find their form again, but I wouldn’t put money on it. Crows by 12

  2. In a game i thought was an easy win, after outscoring them every week this year except the first 1 or 2 weeks, i have just be giving a battering by the SC Gods. I have a 156 difference with Laird to play up against Coniglio, Whitfield and Fogarty. Surely i am still in a winning position right??
Yes??? No?? Please i need at least 1 thing to go my way this week

  3. Where has this come from ZGL. This hurts as I played smith over him and Guelfi. Also finally decided to boot Sauce and he has his first good game in ages.

  4. The moment you realise Ridley’s 36 would of given me a better opportunity to get over the line in 3 cash leagues, instead given Murphy the chance to pump out a 50-60 to do better in overall standings 🙁

Lift for the last few minutes you little ommmpa lummpa!

      1. Too good again this round, Macca

Well done on the win mate.

Son had a solid hit out, 23 touches, 3 goals off the wing & copped a black eye.
