Game Chat – Brisbane v West Coast

Written by Thommo on June 20 2020

Where and when: Saturday 20th June at 7:40pm (AEST)

Last time they met: Rd 1, 2019: Brisbane 15.12 (102) def West Coast 8.10 (58) at the Gabba

What it means for the Lions: It’s a short season so the Lions won’t want to start 1-2, especially given their easy early draw. If they want to feature in finals in 2020, they simply need to win home matches against likely fellow-finalists.

What it means for the Eagles: As impressive as the Suns were last week, the Eagles were terrible. They fumbled and stumbled and pretty much appeared to hate living in Queensland. If they can’t sneak a win or two in the East, they will find themselves a long way back from finals contention.

Thommo’s Watch: I promise I won’t mention him again, but I’m watching Grant Birchall in game 250.

Thommo’s Tip: Brisbane by 20 points.

  1. Final teams #AFLLionsEagles: Dayne Zorko has been replaced by Cam Ellis-Yolmen.

    No changes for the Eagles.

    1. Can’t see any other options for my mob, maybe Cripps but I expect the Cats to dominate that game.

Yeo will probably go to Neale? Should be a good battle if it happens.

  2. Had the VC on Neale and it’s looking like his going to score 140+. To get his score, am I putting the C on Dev Smith? Unsure as to what’s going to happen as I have Dev Smith on the field and Brander on the bench with the E. Will the C transfer to Brander when he comes in or does Neale get the points? Cheers

    1. Putting the C on Devon, you will get Neales VC as captain and the emergency will cover the doughnut from Smith
