Game Chat – Hawthorn vs Brisbane

Written by The Salamander on March 22 2020

Where and when: MCG, Sunday 22 March 2020 • 3:35 PM (AEDT)

Last time they met: Round 19, 2019; Hawthorn 7.18.60 def by Brisbane 13.9.87 at York Park.

What it means for Hawthorn: Not getting shouted at by Clarkson for losing. That can’t be fun.

What it means for Brisbane: After a straight-sets finals exit, the Lions will be desperate to avoid doing a Melbourne, and prove to the world that 2019 wasn’t just a one-off.

The stat: Hawthorn hasn’t beaten Brisbane since 2017.

The match-up: Tom Mitchell vs Lachie Neale

Which ball-magnet will rack up more touches today?

In the spotlight: Tom Mitchell

All eyes will also be on the 2018 Brownlow Medalist’s return after missing all of 2019 with a broken leg.

    1. I’ve got both… if I had to pick one, then Ceglar for the ruck cover. But I expect Petracca to average more.

if the next 4 weeks are cancelled , some teams are going to get a much easier run to the finals than others
might see some low ranked teams playing finals this year

  4. And sadly AFL has been postponed until May 31st…….. Ive spent almost 6 months waiting for AFL Supercoach to return to it be taken away from me after 1 week of games. Months spent planning by many for it to be quite wasteful. What are many going to do now over our weekends????
This had a big chance to do well over in the US too!!!!!!!

  6. Shouldn’t have started the season at all, it’s not like the pandemic was ever going to recede. They just teased us for a week. Ugh.

standing side by side @ bondi beach on a hot night
not caring about the sick or elderly
    not doing their part

    1. I think we can all say it’s those people’s fault.

As to marshal law, there is no provision under Australian law for its imposition, but no doubt further restrictions are on the way.
