WHERE AND WHEN: MCG, Sunday, August 5, 3.20pm AEST
SUMMARY
A clash against 17th-placed Gold Coast presents a real opportunity for Melbourne. The Demons are jostling with a raft of teams for the final places in the top eight and a big win over the struggling Suns would prove to be a major fillip for Simon Goodwin’s side. However, the Demons cannot get caught up in thinking about chalking up potential percentage-boosting wins. Melbourne needs to concentrate on the present and make sure it gives itself every chance to win its four remaining matches against the Suns, Sydney, West Coast and Greater Western Sydney. Melbourne was challenged against Adelaide and responded positively with youngsters Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver standing up when it counted. For the Suns, finishing off a season they would rather forget in a positive way will be their major focus.

I may lose my prelim on a 2600+ score,
Damn that’s harsh mate
My opponent has gone 2700
I’m getting spanked in all my leagues.
V/C on Danger was partly my fault.
As a Hail Mary I chucked the Captains duties on Oliver.
Go you Ginger Beast. Time to join Kelly in the 200 club.
why have they sent him forward?!?!?!?
need a big one from Clayton!
I need the opposite from him! Kelly has given me a decent chance I can’t let Oliver ruin it for me
They’re a 100 up
And you thought Carlton was bad…
Where is mc Donald playn ??
Not in this game. Almost in the fwd pocket. wtf. Can’t watch this any more. Melbourne have given up (saving themselves for three tough games) while GCS still struggle.
GWS with only 16 on the field giving it to Carlton was a better spectacle.
Given the opposition I was hoping he might at least kick a goal or two.
kicked 3 behinds so he has had some chances
Sexton has kicked 5straight and is only on 58.
Buddy would be on 120?!?
Same with Ben brown
