Game Chat – North Melbourne V Fremantle

Written by Thommo on April 17 2016

Venue: Etihad at 4:40pm

Last time:

R21, 2015, North Melbourne 14.10 (94) d Fremantle 12.11 (83) at Etihad Stadium

Top SC scorers from last match:

  • North Melbourne: Swallow 126, Waite 118, Goldstein 116
  • Fremantle: Sandilands 142, Johnson 121, Neale 112

Ins/Outs:

North Melbourne

  • In: Wood
  • Out: Garner (hamstring)

Fremantle

  • In: Crozier, Griffin, Taberner
  • Out: De Boer (om.), Mzungu (om.), Sandilands (ribs/lung)

Game notes: Another week, another slightly unconvincing win by North Melbourne. But who cares about winning pretty? All that matters is that the Roos keep putting those wins on the board early in the season to tie down a top 4 spot and the double chance.

And why should that winning streak end now? The Dockers were not going well after losing to the Suns in the west and that was with Aaron Sandilands. Now that big Sandi is out and Mundy is yet to return from injury, Goldstein should have a field day and the Roos should win comfortably at Etihad stadium.

So who tipped Fremantle to start the year 0-4?

Thommo’s tip:  North Melbourne by 20 points.

  5. Need 114 from Goldy to take down Catta, going to be close! Almost had the icing on the cake when I only need 260 from Oliver, Gawn and Goldy. Oh how quick this game changes!

Game Chat – North Melbourne v Fremantle

Written by Thommo on August 23 2015

The late season comeback of the Kangaroos continued last week with a third quarter surge against the Saints while Fremantle was hammered in the derby.

Each week it seems that the top 4 teams are struggling more and more leaving the flag race wide open. If they are defeated this week Fremantle can still lose top spot to the Eagles.

Can the Dockers flick the switch soon or will the Roos continue their winning streak?

Thommo’s tip: North by 10 points.

  1. Seems odd but I think I’ll loophole dangers score

Most of my opponents captained danger, I have around a 100pt lead, might as well take the captaincy uncertainty out

Tu – approved, doesn’t matter how much you win a prelim by
Td – Fyfe will outscore danger

  2. I’m in the opposite position. A little behind in my prelims and both opponents have captained Danger. I need to find a better option.

  4. Is goldstein a concern up against sandilands today? After his 44points ealier in the year, playing an opponent who has sandi who could be the difference,
    T/u keep goldy
T/d trade to sandi – trades are useless if u dont make it to next week!
