Game Chat – Port Adelaide vs St Kilda

Written by Huttabito on July 7 2018

WHERE AND WHEN: Adelaide Oval, Saturday, July 7, 4.05pm ACST

SUMMARY
What appeared to be a comfortable victory for Port Adelaide is suddenly a danger game after St Kilda’s resurgence. The Saints have played with flair and abandon in wins over the Demons and Gold Coast – traits largely missing from their disappointing first half of the season. With Jack Billings proving a handful, Jade Gresham lighting up the scoreboard and Jack Stevens, Jack Sinclair and Seb Ross creating havoc through the midfield, the Saints have the potential to shape the top eight. Port is travelling very nicely as well, having won its past four games to stay well in the hunt for a top-four position. The Power’s big bodies in the engine room allow them to capitalise on Paddy Ryder’s ruck dominance, their under-rated backline matches up well on small and tall forwards and Robbie Gray performs pieces of magic every week. The Power will go in as the favourites, but only a fool would write off the Saints.

  3. Not that I mind, as I have Robbie Gray!

How the hell is he on 52 SC points at 1/2 time

    9 touches, 7 contested, 3 marks, 1 tackle, 1 goal, 2 points, 3 clangers, 2 frees against, 1 free for & going at 44%de

    Seems over the top IMO

  4. So rapt with whats happening in this match – not!

Rockliff has surpassed Ablett’s score by half time. Cannot even somehow get Rocky’s score on field as everybody playing.

Chosen Smith over Austin as I thought Austin would be busy minding Dixon. Can’t loop hole his score onto the field either.

Would help if Billings would ton up as then wouldn’t have to worry abouts Ahern’s score.

Sigh. One wrong decision after another. Only bright spot was Simpson being out as I don’t have him.

  5. Steele seriously has to be recognised as a solid tagger these days, that’s another excellent effort…..his job on Wines in enemy territory was outstanding!
