Game Chat – Saturday Arvo, R21

Written by MJ on August 16 2014

Sydney v St.Kilda – You have to fear for the Saints here, making the daunting trip up to Sydney to play the premiership favourites on their own hunting ground, the SCG. The Swans will be eager to edge their percentage higher, to jump the Hawks. Struggling to see anything other than a hiding.

Swans by 100.

Gold Coast v Port Adelaide – Both teams have been on the slide in the last month, although the Power did show a fair bit against the Swans last week. Director of coaching, Shaun Hart put the pressure on Chad Wingard to find some consistency within games to become a four-quarter player during the week. Plenty of SuperCoaches will be hoping he does after a very underwhelming season. Congratulations to Travis Boak, who plays his 150th AFL game. He went to town against the Suns last time out with a 166-point match

Power by 26.

Essendon v West Coast – It goes without saying that both sides will be desperate for a victory here to stay in contention for the remaining 6-8th placings. As a result, it should be one of the games of the round. The Dons welcome back Jobe Watson and Michael Hibberd and should help to arrest a form slide that has seen them lose their last two matches.

Bombers by 12.

  5. I know this is not quite the place, but instead of ending up in Tassie for meetings I will be in Melbourne for the 2nd Week of the finals. Hopefully as much as I would luv to watch the Hawks play I am hoping that they get straight through. Would be great as I am staying the weekend in Melbourne before flying all over the world to catch up with a few of the guys from the site. Already emailed Motts, but if MJ and a few are up to it would be great to hopefully sit at the G together and over a few beers talk about the punt the gg’s, footy and the supercoach site.
