Game Chat – West Coast vs Adelaide

Written by Thommo on July 11 2020

Where and When: GABBA, Saturday 11th July 2020 at 3:05pm (AEST)

Last time they met: Rd 21, 2020: West Coast 13.12 (90) def Adelaide 12.8 (80) at Optus Stadium

What it means for West Coast: After all the criticism about their form in the Queensland Hub, West Coast will be 3-3 if they win this, well poised to push for the top 4 with a stretch of home matches ahead. They would not want to drop this one and return home with just the 2 wins – the locals will be restless!

What if means for Adelaide: I think we can all agree that Adelaide is shot and will not be playing finals in 2020. That means they are playing for nothing but respect this week and every following week. It will be interesting to see how much they care!

Supercoach Watch: There was a West Coast fire sale this week: Get your West Coast mids, partially damaged, going cheap. Yeo, Kelly, Gaff, all must go!

A few dissatisfied coaches may still be owning Laird and Smith; Keep your chins up, they can’t get much worse!

Thommo’s Watch: All week I had Mitch Duncan and on a whim I changed him to Gaff. So far, so lucky!

Thommo’s Tip: West Coast by 36 points.
