  1. Get it done for SCT Yiorgakis, and hopefully you’ll still have bit left over after sharing it with us all.

No, seriously man, every bit of SC luck for the final week, you deserve it!

  4. Good luck Yiorgi!

Whatever happens, it’s been a hell of a run!!

Would obviously be fantastic if an SCT contributor could take it all out!!! I can just picture Mottsy lining up to talk to the press as the godfather of SCT if the results fall our way

  5. Well done Yiorgi – you are a winner already!
In the words of the late premiership coach and AFL Hall of Fame legend John Kennedy Snr “…..do something, don’t think, do!, don’t hope, do!, …..”
Best of luck Yiorgi – living the dream!!!

  6. Yiorgi,
Your consistency in SC has always been a feature of your game and now you’re about to be properly rewarded for all those close-up efforts. Thanks for all your contributions to the site over the years. Follow your instincts….. You got this, Champ!

  7. Good luck Yiorgi. Given my season was done and dusted a long time ago I’ll be following your progress each game with great interest.

If possible it would be great to see Yiorgi’s original line-up so I can see where he went right and I stuffed up.

    1. Having met Yiorgi once at a SCT golf day many moons ago he didn’t strike me as someone that would soak up the limelight and head down media street.

  9. Best of luck to Yiorgi, I hope he gets a huge score – but just 1 point less than me.

    I’m playing him in a Grannie….

  10. All the best Yiorgi!

You’ve got an entire community cheering you on!

Go get em, if you got any trades left, then trust your gut! (Or just post it in trade talk and ask the community lol)

Outstanding work wherever you finish up.

  11. Thanks everyone for your messages of support. Been a great ride this year certainly, under unusual circumstances, whatever happens this weekend!

Good luck to everyone if you’re in grand finals, or simply want to finish the year off on a high.

    Cheers

  12. Yiorgi is currently in 3rd place 107pts off General Soreness. Yiorgi is 1,280 with 13 played with his Captain in hand and currently has it on Macrae.
    -)
General Soreness the leader is 1,326 with 12 played but his Captain has played.

2nd place Croz Bees is currently 13pts ahead of Yiorgi at 14-1,400 also with his Captain in hand. Croz Bees has his Captain on Mitchell.

All of the other top ten have used their Captain with a couple failing on Matt Crouch. These score updates are from @SuperCoachData on twitter.

  13. Yiorgi is only 2,087 with just Grundy and Duursma to come.

Unfortunately his Captain Macrae let him down and any chance of taking the big prize.

Bad Luck Yiorgi what a great year you had. Everyone from SCT is super proud of your efforts. Great Job!

A Top 10 finish is fantastic and enjoy the prize money you end up winning

  14. Just checked @SuperCoachData update. Yiorgi is currently in 4th spot 120pts off the leader but his POD looks like Duursma.

Yiorgi is only 15pts off 3nd place and 30pts off 2nd place with Duursma looking his POD with all the other top 3 only having Grundy to come. At worst I think Yiorgi looks like he will finish 2nd.

So it looks Yiorgi needs a hail Mary score from Duursma 120 to draw and 121 to win overall.

  15. Geez I have an update. There must be loopholes in play.

As @SuperCoachData has tweeted @86 Duursma Phat Side is on the podium.
@102 Duursma The Phat is 2nd
@212 Duursma the leader would probably eat a rat

  16. Yiorgi has traded aggressively trading out Short when Houli came back in and pretty sure Daniel at the Dogs Bye to get Lloyd and has had a few misses even having Jackson Thurlow in his team at one stage.

  17. Congrats to all the SCT winners and runners up ,like me . Special kudos to tom barbbo ,winner of the slush fund . A titanic battle but you got me when it counted Hope to play in some form again next year if invited Ranked 653 so reasonably happy with that but indeed only top 100 will do next year . Bold statement but the lessons learn’t from poor decisions will get me there ,,,i hope .great coaching tom. NDD

    1. Demons Delight I must you inform you and BBQBarbs that Weendog came from the clouds to score 2,649-29th for the round to move up from outside the Top 1k into the top 400’s to be the highest overall Rank in the Slush Fund League.

A Bradbury from Weendog. Well Done Mate.

Bad Luck to everyone else but a big thanks to all of those who entered the Slush Fund League which AllSaints was the brains behind to help raise prize money for the site.

  18. Hi all, apologies didn’t I give any updates over the weekend.

But wowee, pretty happy with third in the end. TDA you are pretty much correct, I did trade aggressively, especially with lots of early injuries. Then in Round 17, I wanted to bring Gawn back in and unfortunately Shuey (don’t ask) got injured.

So after bringing in Gawn, I had one trade left but minimal cash, and went a player with a lower standard deviation of scores, rather than risk a 30. Enter the Duursma. Did ok in the end.

Danger in the last round is what killed me in the end. Had he not gone 170, I would have utilised the VC on Gawn and Would have got second maybe been in with a chance the 1st.

Thems the breaks! Hope you all had a great final round and won some GFs. I actually only won 2/8!

Cheers and good luck to everyone next year!

    1. Great work Yiorgakis super effort on your result.

Just wondering if you could give me ( relatively new to the game 2nd year) a round up of your starting team and finishing team just to give me a look at how a champion structures there team.
There is no hard feelings if you do not wish to but could be great training material for us mere mortals
      Cheers

      1. I studied past winning teams which definitely helped. If you haven’t already found them, there’s a few recaps of winning teams from past seasons kicking around the internet.

    2. Yiorgi it was a brilliant effort well done! Cant help a bit of luck in SC, Danger was tracking for about a 70 at HT!

Last year when i was in top 10 with about 4 rounds to go i also needed to get Gawn in so moved Lycett to the forward line and traded out Worpel. Worpel went on to score 130 avg and Lycett went down injured and missed 3 games and thats all she wrote. Gotta love SC lol

Amazing year for ya man and heres to going 2 places better in the next one

      1. That 170 was rubbish! 79 points at 3QT and scored 75 in the final quarter from 2 goals and a goal assist. Scaling added the rest. Even including CP and marks on the lead that was ridiculously inflated scoring.
