How Did You Go?

Written by MJ on June 14 2015

Smash it or struggle in the first week of the byes. Scores will be incredibly diverse this week as some teams set up stronger for R11 than others.

Happy with that, should jump up the rankings this week, although take a bit of a dive next week fielding 16-17 only….Bye round 3 looks to be better…!!

hopefully i will move up 1500 or so places (from about 9k)
if everything goes well, i should field 20 next week (i only expect to actually field 18)

  3. Lost league match by just 8 points. J.Steven killed me in the last 40 seconds – “Steven wins the clearance and then wins it again, going out the back and it bounces through to the hard running Montagna who goals from point blank range! ” (fanfooty).
I emphasise with all the MFC supporters out there. So close!

Pretty decent. However i lost my league h2h by 9 points. Despite being ranked 3rd in my league on total points I somehow sit on 13th on the ladder. So bloody frustrating. I guess I can’t even ‘bye’ a win, can I?

Absolutely stoked about this score, but what’s sad is that 18 players this week scored higher than 22 players last week (1976). Won one of my league matches by just a single point.

  6. 2021 / Fyfe / 20 players (would have had 22 if Clark & Bellchambers or Goddard & McKenzie had played)

Very happy & luckily did not trade as internet was shocking at Qantas Club in Bangkok prior to friday night game. Still got 17 trades so will look at 6 good trades over next 2 weeks to ensure i get 18 decent scores in Rnd 12 & 13.

Hopefully will move up from 16th overall, but who knows.

  7. 1924/Gray/20 players dropping Taylor and McLovin

Friday night reverse trade stuff up cost me 106 points, but even then I just needed major spud Griffin to keep reasonable pace with Heater to get the win against the Pride and he couldn’t even manage that. Might be looking at my first rage trade with the spud for Sloane Ranger this week.

Tech league 1685/Priddis/15 players, obviously happy with that.

Was planning to loop McKenzie and Amon for the 18th spot, but of course that didn’t happen. Still very happy with that score, pretty much stuffed next week though. Had 10 tons and four 90s, so no real complaints with anyone.

my only trade was krak to hamling this week so I can make 3 x R12 bye player upgrades next week to get 18 on the park (hopefully)

bring on the fallen premo article already….

Obviously happy with the score, most players tonned up or got close enough! Next week will be the real test, 15 available, will use the 3 trades (all upgrades) to make 18. Here’s hoping no injuries/suspensions/omitted players!!!

Moved up about 5k in the ranks, 18 trades left with money in the bank, happy days!

  12. 1865/19/Fyfe/2189 from 1474. And that was supposed to be my better bye week.
4/10 league wins. 1 point loss in a key league hurt.
Top 5 on field: Fyfe, Goldstein, Shaw, Pendlebury, Newnes.
Bottom 5 on field: ANB (not included in total), Dumont, Tarrant, Kelly, Lonie.
2 trades this week and will be fielding 19 again provided ANB gets another run, Bonts Birchall and Lever all return from injury.

*Sigh*….in what was meant to be my strongest week of the byes numbers-wise. Only Fyfe, Goldy & Newnes could ton up. Go team.
Will see out the season in respect to my league, but would happily walk away from this years SC otherwise. Worst. Season. Ever.

  14. 1885 / Fyfe / 20680

We finally moved the right direction in the rankings, up 1785 places!

Manged 18 on the field, even with all the injures and outs. That took three trades, although they are all trades I am fine with.

Happy faces: Too many to list….Boston for sure, Hogan…
    Bored Faces: Swan, Gray, Mitchell
Frowny faces: Dumont(!) Tarrant, Yeo, Selwood. Wines

I did win 7 of 10 matches this week, so that’s nice. Not doing well in any league, but I have been hoping to finish strongly…..

Gonna be hurting next week. Currently forecast to have 15 players on deck.

Expecting at least one trade, maybe 2.

    12 trades left. Ouch.

  17. 2044 / 18 players / Fyfe / Rank 763

Very solid week from all players except for Dumont being the sub (35 points).

Defence was great with Heater, Ibbotson, KK and Newnes all scoring 100+ (and Saad 91).

Currently only fielding 15 this week (16 if M Clarke plays), therefore may need to use a couple of trades.

Hope Hamling gets another run after being well beaten in his last game. Worries me that Michael Talia might be back in this week?
